Not what you would hope for a sequel but very much the same formula that made Grow Home so enjoyable with a few new mechanics and a newer(ish) environment that give it a very small shot in the arm. Grow Up is only playable offline (which is easily done by disconnecting from the network) removing the Ubisoft Club and achievements part of the game, nonetheless it is still very enjoyable and relaxing. I have also played Grow Home and they are very similar games except for scenery and challenges making it more enjoyable.

Although I can't help but feel it was an unnecessary sequel, Grow Up is able to maintain the charm of the original while adding a few new unique elements to make it worth your time.

good and fun game. cute robot B.U.D and cool physics. Grow home and Grow up not so different but world are become more huge and we get a new gadjet who can spawn different plants and with them we can get to the different places. Cool arcade/platformer/adventure game. 10/10

Everything I wanted in a new adventure. The art style and game-play are just as if not more amazing than Grow Home! I love the POD challenges too which add loads of extra things to do and explore. No violence too which means I can play with my Nephew :)

I was extremely excited for this game after finding Grow Home on a sale and playing it. The first one was massively enjoyable and fun where as Grow Up isn't even playable day 1. Every single time I go to start the game it crashes I do not even get to the start screen. The game simply doesnt work. Crashes on startup. I wasn't going to leave a review stating this but I can't find info on this anywhere. I've looked all over. I installed a 1.0.1 update that did nothing to help. Right now I'm dead in the water and out 10 bucks. Really wanted to play this but I have to put this info somewhere since right now no record exists of this problem I'm having. I justThe game simply doesnt work. Crashes on startup. Don't get too riled up, it is much more of the same, and not in a good way. The mesmerizing Grow Home, was an innovative game that looked and felt great. Flying is a big aspect and feels great, and happens often. Your objectives are almost the same and the gameplay is the same as well. It is fun in parts, but it always felt like I was playing Grow Home but with a DLC pack. The fact that this is a fully fledged product is mind boggling. The crashes too, this game is definitely not playable on day 1, bugs, restarts and annoying glitches are all showing up. The story the developers are trying to tell is still a mystery, and will confuses most gamers. It is just the same thing! And whatever new it does is a partial success. Grow Up is a lazy excuse for a game, it the same game but with an ugly patch up of bugs, glitches and a pile of excruciating and lousy storytelling. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. They messed up what was so great about Grow Home. That game had a definite progression. Each teleporter felt earned, and you used them repeatedly whenever you fell back to earth. In Grow Up the teleporters are everywhere, and I never used them in the course of the whole game. The map system is jarring and unpleasant to use, plus it is way too easy now. You can find everything for the main story in a couple of hours.

Gone also is the really fun part of Grow Home -- exploring the world to find the animals and plants. Instead you have challenges, which is flying through hoops on timers. So not fun! Especially with the wonky-ass controls of this game. The world is bigger but feels much smaller. There are new abilities, but you don't use them. There are a lot of plants for you to catalog, and you can spawn them, but there's rarely any need and they all pretty much do the same thing. You don't even have to hunt for them -- there's a glaring blinking marker whenever a new one is onscreen.

The world is bigger but it's meaningless. There's no mystery, there's nothing you're looking for. Since it is horizontally laid out instead of vertical, you never really have to climb much. You can usually just glide from wherever your highest point is to anywhere else.

Way to go Ubisoft -- Grow up is Messed Up.

The game is crashed and sony or Ubisoft do nothing. My Money ??? It is ridiculous, you can only play 1 hour and no more game. Crashed. Error, etc.

Jogo todo bugado, seves corrompidos, não compre pois não pretendem enviar um patch para correção. Sony e Ubisoft não respondem as mensagens. Decepção.

If you liked Grow Home (and I did) then you'll love this. More of the same great climbing and growing game play with some new mechanics to keep it interesting. Not sure what the zero raters are smoking. It really is a game you cannot hate. I love it.

Incredible cute and grand game. The physics are flimsy and you'll get mad at them at some point, but you'll have to accept that to fully enjoy this gem. The scale of it is massive and the graphics are beautifully crafted.

There would frequently be a splitsecond pause where the game would not respond--probably a loading issue. I researched and found that lots of others are experiencing the same issue.

All in all, I would give this game a 0/10 if I could. Very disappointed that Ubisoft Reflections ruined a great game by not sorting out these bugs.

It is a pretty fun relaxing game to play and has a lot of collectible but it can get a bit repetitive.
