    I finally got my PS4 and the first game I played for the whole night was......no, no AAA or Uncharted Trilogy, I played Grow Home and had so much fun with it doing so..It has a unique style, great sound and art design, very interesting and different game mechanics and is relaxing yet challenging. Kind of a unique combination. Very clever game, recommended!

    Very good platforms chill-discover game, i love it. I want to fly in more worlds!!!!Looking down from ship and being able to see the plant growth you had an effect on is extremely satisfying.

    Ok well i got it for free for ps plus so i gave it a try and boy was i surprised didnt expect it to be as good as it was like i was expecting something different but instead i got a fun opened world physics based gameplay kind of game with fun exploration so i definitely recommend it even if you get it for ps plus it is well worth the asking price

    I did not know about this game until it came out free on PS Plus, and I have been loving it ever since! Very addictive. The learning curve on how to handle the robot is actually really enjoyable as you figure out the physics of the world and the climbing mechanic. You can go practically anywhere, and the collectibles are abundant but not overwhelming.     Such a cute, relaxing game. My favourite bit is rescuing the sheep. BUD is so cool, I want an action figure!! So happy this came to PS4. Would Grow Home again.

    One of the most original and awe inspiring games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. You could probably complete Grow Home in a few hours if you just did the main objective but I spent a while enjoying the open world exploration. Climbing and jumping between the floating islands really gives you a scary sense of height which I've never experienced in another game - its brilliant.     Now this is a relaxing game. You go at your own pace at growing the plant to your ship in space. Obviously this game isn't for everyone but its a quirky indie game that takes about 10 hours to finish 100% and its well worth the asking price. There isn't much of a story but it's an interesting game and a fun and an addictive one. The character B.U.D and M.O.M are great. I just got lost inNow this is a relaxing game.     Pretty blown away by this game. I think the low scores are grading this on a AAA title scale. To me, this is meant to be a low key experience you get immersed in, which it did very well in my case. I'd probably score it an 8.5 because I think they could have made it longer relatively easily by adding different colored crystals to find after you finish every other challenge.     This is a very enjoyable game. I like stumbling around as a drunk robot making a giant beanstalk grow. Once you get the handle of climbing, jumping, floating, etc. it makes for a decent platformer. Great game!

    Beautiful low poly world, simple mechanics, and full of adventure, Grow Home offers a unique gaming experience. It's unlike any other game on PlayStation 4.

    Wery good and origianl game. When I get it I expected something compeltelly else (basically standart platformer) so I was even more suprised to find out how original the game is.
    You control robot BUD and controls are based on physics. If you played Octodad it will feel similar. You can climb walls by controlling individual hands.

    But the greatest part is growing the plant. Which makes the most of the level itself. What I did not expect is that you have completelly in your control. Everytime the sprout of the plant grows you control the direction yourself. So you basically build the level yourself (most of the level is the Plant. The floating isles you are trying to reach are relativelly small). So each game is very different.    … Expand

    The controls take a while to get used to, but after that it's a blast. The world is full of secrets and collectibles and you're free to explore it however you like. One of the most unique games of this generation.

    Grow Home was a peaceful and enjoyable game to play. The task was so simple, build a tree; yet, I had so much fun playing it. Anyone looking for a short, relaxing game should play this.

    Grow Home is a fairly original Platformer developed by a small Team at Ubisoft. It's a fairly short game but offers a lot to do. Grow Home follows "BUD" (Botanical Utility Droid) and his journey to grow a plant that will oxygenate his home planet. The controls can feel very clunky and hard to learn at first because of BUD's physics and momentum, If you keep running in one direction on jumpGrow Home is a fairly original Platformer developed by a small Team at Ubisoft. It's a fairly short game but offers a lot to do. Grow Home follows "BUD" (Botanical Utility Droid) and his journey to grow a plant that will oxygenate his home planet. The controls can feel very clunky and hard to learn at first because of BUD's physics and momentum, If you keep running in one direction on jump multiple times you will find it very hard to come to a complete stop without falling off of something. The main objective is to scale a giant bean stock type plant and find points on the plant you can use to grow further to reach food/energy that the plant needs to grow. This is where Grow Home really comes together, As you branch out with your plant and work towards the floating islands you can look back at your progress and see the beautiful mess of a plant you have grown. But at anytime it is possible to fall off and have to rather start climbing again or use a checkpoint that are placed. There are things like Flowers,Leafs and Packets to also help you get around and hopefully not fall back to the beginning. Finding Crystals that are placed throughout the game will increase BUD's jet-pack as well. Altogether Grow Home is a extremely fun light heated game suitable for almost anyone and for the 8$ Price tag or Free if you got it with PlayStation Plus it's a steal of a deal.… Expand

    Waaaay better than Journey! And check the scores - this one got pummeled, because people wanted Ass Creed 4 free on PS+, and it didnt quite hit the right audience. But show this to Your kids, my 4 year old daughter loves it - actually this is the only game she really enjoys, and there arent many other like it anyway :D

    Needless to say I was frustrated with the seemingly meaningless and random star shoots going all over the place…
    Only to find out I’ve been playing the game wrong the whole time…
    Once I figured this out this game became much less frustrating to me... but not completely unfrustrating…
    The controls in this game are far too floaty...
    your robot character feels completely weightless…
    You rely mostly on your grip by using any of the 4 shoulder buttons to control a separate arm….. and even that isn’t all too reliable
    Bud would constantly slip when I jumped from stock to stock, leading me to fall to my death only to respawn at my most recently activated checkpoint and climb again. And again... and again...
    This weightless feeling needless to say greatly hinders your platforming experience as you have no idea where you’re going to land after a jump and you seemingly have no control of your character once in air...
    Thankfully you do get a jet pack and are able to pick up leaves and flowers to float… but these items don’t equalize the floatyness of the platforming and can sometimes even add to the frustration of feeling no control…
    The jet pack will definitely become your best friend as you’re screaming at the screen for constantly cheap feeling deaths due to the platforming and grip…
    you can upgrade this jetpack by collecting crystals throughout the world..
    To eventually be able to completely fly around at no risk by the games end... making collectibles in this game actually worthwhile… and the world is intriguing enough to want to explore in search of new caves and other secret areas…
    you can also grab items and animals that inhabit the planet to work towards unlocking a special skin…
    There are 2 special skins in this game that give an added perk beyond pure cosmetics
    One for collecting all of the creatures and plants... and one for doing the bonus mission after you complete the game…
    … The issues with this is the complete the game part…
    What’s the point in keeping special perk skins to when you’ve already completed or nearly completed the game…
    Why bother to collect everything and have the ability to make star shoots grow twice as long when I’ve got a jet pack that never runs out of fueled by that time?
    It’s pointless…
    This is also one of those games that doesn’t auto save and it did crash on me and I lost all progress...
    thankfully it happened after I collected everything and beat the game and not while I was on my way to doing so…
    so be cautious.. save and quit frequently, which won’t really cross your mind as this game is only about 5 hours long
    Grow Home is a charming game that I ultimately enjoyed.. But its floaty controls tried really hard to stop me…

    Grow Home allows you to alter the landscape by controlling the growth a massive plant. While the concept is simple, the world is extremely charming and encourages you to explore. I've heard complaints about the buggy climbing system but I actually really like the refreshing manual take on it (a button for your left hand and another for your right hand).

    Charming and with a heavy nostalgic feel, Grow Home serves as a very strong 3D platformer. The biggest gripe I had is that the climbing controls were awkward enough to actually hurt my fingers, but what are hurt fingers when you had a good time?

Full of little moments of pure joy (falling 1000 feet while clinging desperately onto a sheep, discovering and being chased by a goggle eyed cave bull, and the mild mockery of your M.O.M every time you explode). Sadly quite short, so reaching the mother ship comes all too easy, and there is not that much to collect to get to 100%. RecommendedA relaxing, inventive, beautiful and fun game.     I want to start off by saying I agree with the comments about the controls, they are somewhat sluggish. My first twenty minutes with Grow Home gave me a bad taste in my mouth. When I first started my ascent up the star plant, I fell off the vine five times and quite. I'm not one for difficulty due to poor controls. A couple hours later, I gave it another chance. After another twentyI want to start off by saying I agree with the comments about the controls, they are somewhat sluggish. My first twenty minutes with Grow Home gave me a bad taste in my mouth. After another twenty minutes and the acquisition of the jetpack, I started to realize what Grow Home was all about. Death has no penalty. Because of this, falling off a platform 2,000 feet above the starting island starts to become something you don't mind as much. Well place teleport stations make the trip back to where you were a breeze. The controls start to make sense after a bit. The climbing is intuitive, and the collectibles make movement more fluid.

    Grow Home's aesthetics are a beautiful mix of Jack and the Bean Stalk meets Mario Galaxy. The graphics might not be top notch, but the artwork and design is stunning. Many times I would jump from the highest point and free fall down to the island below just to experience the awe inspiring places I had been and the enormous plant I had grown.

    Collectibles are well placed and fun to search for. Blue crystals are B.U.D's energy source and the more you collect the more upgrades you unlock. By the end, without any guides, I had found all but two. I was more than happy to leisurely glide around the vertical map searching for the final missing pieces.

    Grow Home is a relaxing five hour experience that I would recommend as a break from the fast paced game world we live in these days.    … Expand

    I got this free on PS+, so I'm probably being generous with 7, it's probably just worth a 6 really. Also, fortunately you can completely ignore the uPlay nonsense. Anyway the game is fun to play and quite unique. Controlling BUD is weird but you get used to it, and after a while you can kind of master it... Running down roots, jumping, deploying your petal parachute and gliding to otherI got this free on PS+, so I'm probably being generous with 7, it's probably just worth a 6 really. It's really fun. I played with my 8 and 10 year old children. They loved it. There are hidden caves to explore, funny creatures and plants, free falling from the stratosphere to the ground, and an epic sense of scale. It's a bit challenging towards the end, but finally getting into the spaceship and having look around is a nice reward. Also the game felt a little short, but longevity is added at the end by having to climb back down and find stuff. Some of the trophies are fun to achieve too.… Expand

    100% the game in just a couple of hours and it came with no plat :( No story, soundtrack not impressive, animations are clunky, you don't go home just save it, but never get to see it. At least I got some amazing Ubisoft points! *sarcasm*

    Overall this game is at a good price of 8$.     It's a small game that's very unique and different from other open world games. It's very physics-based, and if you enjoy games built solely on that, you will have fun with this game. The game doesn't have a lot of content and it's short, but for what it is, it's pretty good and lasts long enough for you to remember it.

    Solid mechanics and a great core idea for a game don't make up for a lack of true content. I enjoyed my time playing this game to a point, until the repetitive and tedious nature of the game dispelled the illusion of depth. Good for a couple of hours enjoyment, but I wish they'd done more with the idea.

    Interesting gameplay, but the world is just too empty. The content is very poor. But I liked most of the trophies. Maybe next game will be more filled up.

    This game was very beautiful and enjyoable to exploreable. It's controls were okay and abit laggy aswell. But my favorite thing in the game was the glide leaf in the game aswell as going into space, this game was kinda like octodad but something but did have issues and bugs, etc but it's a okay game.

    A fun eksperiment with movement controls, I have a cozy and relax time with this game it's cute and has a nice little story and it takes about 4 hours to complete if you could all the seeds

It is a game of short duration but very entertaining and that makes you be playing for several hours to reach the highest point in the world where the game is expanded.
