    A fun game that is trying to ape the golden age of bioware, doing so semi-successfully. It has a novel setting that is mostly well realized, but struggles with pacing, writing, and consistency. None of the companions are particularly engaging either.

    Everything in this game is pure tragedy. Boring quest, disgusting plot and writting, mechanics and gameplay are Witcher 2 like. I can see no reason for playing this game

    By far, one of the very BEST RPGs I've ever played in my whole life! Good combat, amazing graphics and atmosphere, very original setting and premise. But the star of the show here is the superb writing. This game has by far some of the best written quests I've ever seen since The Witcher 3. There's no dumb bloated fetch quests here, only high quality content.

    Don't let these dumb    By far, one of the very BEST RPGs I've ever played in my whole life! Good combat, amazing graphics and atmosphere, very original setting and premise.     The game actually exceed my expectations, its not all bad. The story is strangely good, bosses have great designs and the powers and skills you get are not cliché. The game has its own identity and aesthetics. But it has many many problems too. Combat is repetitive, you face the same bosses many times. Mostly of the game is just talking (okay, i get that youre like an emissary or somethingThe game actually exceed my expectations, its not all bad. Combat is repetitive, you face the same bosses many times. Mostly of the game is just talking (okay, i get that youre like an emissary or something along these lines, but for god, i want to play the game, not watch a debate. Your companions fightning phrases are super annoying too. "A little poison on my blade and lets go". One thing that pissed me off was near the end, if you do just a little mistake in increasing your reputation, its impossible to recover, thats very annoying.… Expand

    I just completed a 52 hours walkthrough of Greedfall. The experience was fun and engaging ! I did almost all of the side quests and they are worth it. The story is really well told, the music is good, most of the environments look beautiful. Overall, this is a really great product ! However, there is some jankiness, a lack of poilsh and a lack of variety among the enemies types. I stillI just completed a 52 hours walkthrough of Greedfall. The experience was fun and engaging ! Greedfall macht aber vieles gut, was die meisten anderen falsch machen. Oder sagen wir es anders - man ist immer so gut wie die anderen schlecht sind. Vielleicht sollte man eben doch nicht nur an Monster Budgets und Riesenerfolg denken, wenn man Rollenspiele entwickelt, sondern an gutes World Building und gutes Quest Design. Beides kann Greedfall. Beides konnte Bioware am Ende nicht mehr. So ist das eben.… Expand

    A good rpg game for everyone, even if the quality it's not the best and the budget was low, the developers managed to create a beautyfull rpg game with a nice story and character skills developing.
    After playing for a while it gets a bit repetitive but if you don't mind that you'll really enjoy the game.

    There are only two endings, a good and a bad ending.
    Every choice you make will lead to a different outcome in the good ending, while the bad ending has pretty much the same thing happening regardless of your choices.
    If you want to play a cheap but cool rpg game this is the perfect game for you.    … Expand

    Since I've played Technomancer on PS4 from the same developer and even played the "enhanced" Greedfall on a PS5 with the upgraded Version, I    If anyone writes "this is the best rpg ever" and so on, it probably was their first rpg or even worse, their first game ever... it certainly is NOT the best! Maybe average and considering the studio and manpower behind it, clearly understandable.

    Since I've played Technomancer on PS4 from the same developer and even played the "enhanced" Greedfall on a PS5 with the upgraded Version, I stopped playing this game around 10 hours as EVERYTHING felt like Technomancer, but within a different setting. I am sorry to say that everything just feels like 50% of what an Dragon Age or "bigger" productions deliver. Graphics, Gameplay, RPG-Elements, feeling of the world, etc.

    It's not a bad game, it's unfortunately just a boring game as everything becomes so fast repetitive that it's just not interesting or fun in any aspect - it wants to be somehow a great game and tries to resemble the big players allot, but it doesn't reach. It's clunky, feels like an early PC-RPG and this island is fractured in thousands of tiny areas that of course have loading screens and everywhere traveling points you have to use if you want to leave that area.

    I'm not a fan of Greedfall and I won't continue playing - maybe if I hadn't finished Technomancer till the end. Sorry spiders, I was really looking forward to this title as Indi-Developer usually do things different then the mainstreamers - unfortunately, you tried to be mainstream and lost all the charm Greedfall might have gotten.    … Expand

    I put off playing this game simply because I had never heard of the developer, Spiders. When I finally picked it up, I was blown away by how great this game was. I've heard it compared to Bioware games of old and I 100% agree. I find this game to be a masterpiece in every regard. My expectations were low, and thus this game exceeded them in every way.

Skill tree / Gears / Crafting...etc they are all underdeveloped. Combat is not bad per se but balance is a little bit broken. e.g. Stasis - a magikal power you get early - was really OP even though I invested very few points in magic. Bestiary is poor and you will fight the same mob (with level scaling) all game long. You'll even have to fight some bosses twice.

    The semi open world Greedfall offers is the worst aspect of the game. The devs have reused the same building / tree / rock everywhere making every place look very similar. The choice of a limited color palette didn't help. Of course, there are invisible walls everywhere and your character can't even jump over a fence or swim across a small river. Thus going from point A to point B is a chore and i found myself overerusing the map and the fast travel option.

    On the positive side, the lore and the story are good and there are multiple ending depending on your choices in the main quests.    … Expand

I played this on the ps4, but it's clear this game didn't have the budget of a AAA game, as of course this was produced by a smaller developer.     Pros
    -The main characters are well written and have distinct personalities. Having to choose from multiple characters to have in your party spices up the combat in this game. Having multiple options in dialogue choices can lead to some interesting remarks or sequences. The roleplaying element is well done and makes you care about the story.
    -For a lower budget game, I think the customization of your character is actually quite good! I really felt like the character I created fit the voice quite well
    -Your character is a representative of the merchant congregation, so the dialogue choices makes you really feel like your representing them and serving their interests, but also your own at times, and it feels genuine as you have to interact with other factions.
    -The combat is solid and flows quite well, but can get somewhat repetitive. Still looks cool
    -Systems to level up your character are intuitive and it's nice to unlock spells/abilities
    -Good variety of main quests and side quests, and most of the side quests that you do decide to complete don't feel like a waste of time.

    Cons
    -clear that with limited budget, they really reused some assets, which makes the different areas feel very bland and uninspired after awhile
    -first boss fight is very annoying and feels cheap. doesn't reflect difficulty for the rest of the game
    - the game isn't a true open world adventure, instead it's like sections, thus meaning more load times and waiting screens. this takes away from some of the immersion and makes the map which looks huge seem a lot smaller.
    -sometimes if you run into an enemy that's way too high of a level you can get one-shotted, this doesn't happen often but it's odd when you run into this
    -some features of the game I don't feel were explained that well, and generally didn't bother with the crafting system. It's really not needed other than like making potions.
    -sometimes the different factions seem very unreasonable in their actions and like no matter what you do they may still dislike you or it becomes very annoying to interact with them. I don't want to go into a lot of detail as that can get into spoilers, but it got to the point where I tried to avoid the faction/group unless absolutely needed for the main quests
    -game can absolutely feel very clunky at times

    To recap, this game offers a lot of roleplaying through various quests that are well written and characters that are very well written. This makes up for the reusing of assets, bland colors for the level design, and clumsiness at times when exploring. The game is definitely worth a playthrough just because of the characters! I had fun playing this game and you can easily get 30-40hrs of gameplay. It's a solid 7/10.    … Expand

A pesar que que es un juego que no tiene el presupuesto de un AAA (se nota en algunos aspectos técnicos), tiene una historia muy buena y las mecánicas de RGP están bien pulidas, con un árbol de habilidades sencillo, pero efectivo. El juego tiene varios finales, dependiendo de las elecciones que se tomen, y el combate cambia bastante según la clase elegida, lo que le da un buen valor de rejugabilidad.
    El juego no destaca por sus gráficos, pero para quienes disfrutan de un buen RPG, Greedfall es un gran juego.    … Expand

    Крутой сюжет, крутые квесты! Игра прямо как книга, интересные истории иногда с весьма необычными поворотами.
    Минибоссы прикольные, боевка необычная но очень далека от экшена. Локации красивые, но ограничения уж сильно условные, порой рушат погружение. Боевка немного скучная, до половины игры ты и не знаешь что можешь теоретически, да и как то не паришься. А ведь вариации реально большие.    Крутой сюжет, крутые квесты! Игра прямо как книга, интересные истории иногда с весьма необычными поворотами.

    Ratings for this one should be way higher. Incredible social game. Very interesting plot, lines and characters. RPG elements on point. I MUST give it a ten. BUT in order to play, one must have in mind that conversations, decisions and relationships are a big part of the game. If you don't appreciate it or like to skip everything you can, you will probably feel bored soon.

Combat is decent. But you can see they cut corners everywhere. The Governor's mansion in all three cities is exactly the same.     Greed fall is one of the greatest RPG Game I’ve played!! Which have some part needed to polish but overall it’s a great game to enjoy!! If anyone still never played worth to play this game!! As I’m living in Japan, the localization to Japanese language have a big issues but the game itself is perfectly entertaining and enjoyable!!

    Mage only have normal magic ball for most of the time and get a magic skill for max skill tree.
    I don't think this game has a good combat system.

    Посредственная игра, играть мне в нее было не интересно, доплыл до острова и удалил. Интерфейс плохой, лицевая анимация плохая, персонажи страшные, боевка унылая, камера трясется(что бесит), и в целом камера бесит, музыка посредственная. Стартовый город - красивый, и остров, это - все, что могу выделить. Слабо.Посредственная игра, играть мне в нее было не интересно, доплыл до острова и удалил.     This is not an open-world adventure, instead it is a really classic RPG. Its strength isn't in combat (which is fine but more like a table-top RPG, where you don't have to target enemies but just trigger the attack and hit or miss) but in story, personal interaction, character development and all that good RPG stuff.     Good history, good side quests, interesting combat system. This game surprised me.
    I did feel more joy playing this games, than final fantasy 7 remake.

    I was a big fan of Spiders game but Greedfall has me very weary of them now.. Initially the game starts ok but quickly reverts into a boring treck through a world of reused assets. After hours Nothing happened all I could do was ask about her bloody dead dad.. It turned out I had somehow triggered the romance for one of the male chacters, a guy I hardly even talked to, or ever used for combat. I stoped playing at that point, wont trust Spider again, at least they were good once..
    I have since talked to people about my experiance with the game and almost all of them had the homosexual romance trigger on them without even chasing it. I dont know if they are making some social political statement about homo sexuality, but they wasted a good 25 hours of mt life on that stunt. I am not anti gay, but i am also not gay and have no interest playing gay in a fantasy game.    … Expand

    Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to the game. After spending two hours without any combat, and finishing a quest where I had to get the proper license for someone to sell goods, I had enough. If this was a unique story and setting, I might have gotten into it, but it seemed like a Skyrim/Witcher 3 ripoff.

    Ultimately, GreedFall is another step forward for Spiders and is its strongest entry to date. Its previous releases may elicit some skepticism, but GreedFall, while not perfect, is a welcome addition to the gaming canon. It is a fine example of what smaller developers like Spiders can offer to complement the other experiences out there. Even with its faults, RPGamers should welcome GreedFall into their personal collections.

    GreedFall won’t win over those who can’t stand certain gameplay half-measures and lack of polish but those who are not opposed to playing budget games should enjoy it just fine. [12/2019, p.44]

    Even though it resembles other WRPGs that came before it, GreedFall is a solid gaming experience for those wanting a choice-heavy narrative.
