It doesn't matter if you want to shoot enemies while walking on the ceiling, the walls or just floating around. You can play the game alone challenging yourself to beat the best score, but you can also invite your friends and see who is the master of gravity. Play the game up to 4 players in any game mode. Gravity Heroes is best played with friends.

Each level of the campaign mode you will face different challenges. Your objective is to defeat every enemy that appears. Fight against hordes of synthetics trying to destroy the human race, they may explode in a suicidal attack or shoot the heroes with laser beams but don't be afraid every single one of them has is own weakness. Don't fool yourself in the puzzles, analyze every detail of the level and solve them with mastery. Beware that changing gravity is not a special ability of the heroes, enemies can do it as well, so use this ability with caution!

Gravity Heroes is a curious proposition. The core gameplay elements are rock solid, the four-player gravity switching leading to plenty of chaotic fun, but the concept as a whole feels under-explored and the intense difficulty will can soon become a joyless slog.

While charming in places, and with some fun gravity bending mechanics to stroke your novelty seeking, Gravity Heroes isn't all it could be. With a single player campaign that's barely playable, and too many tedious levels, this retro shooter leaves a lot to be desired. In the finer moments of Gravity Heroes, it can be a fun co-op experience, but without online play it is difficult to recommend this game for any single gamer.

Gravity Heroes is best played with others. Whilst you can tackle the campaign alone, the boss fights seem to be scaled for multiple players. It's also where the game's creativity resides. The controls can take some getting used to but the gravity mechanic does mean thinking about foes from all angles. Combat is fine although a little more variety could have helped with weapons, in particular, being on the small side. It's all presented nicely with some detailed visuals but the remaining modes don't appear to offer much in the way of longevity.
