    GT7 is actually not bad, it was just ruined by microtransactions. THE GT SPORT ALSO HAS THIS PROBLEM, BUT NOT AS SERIOUSLY AS THE GT7. For me, both the GT7 and the GTS are good driving simulators to help me practice my cars.

    Not a traditional Gran Turismo game, but the online racing was very cool. Sort of an iRacing that you don't have to sell your organs to afford. The updates were cool, it has most of the tracks you would want in a racing game besides from Silverstone, the car selection, although a little bit now is still interesting. The driving is not hyper realistic, but it is easy to play without feelingNot a traditional Gran Turismo game, but the online racing was very cool. Sort of an iRacing that you don't have to sell your organs to afford. The updates were cool, it has most of the tracks you would want in a racing game besides from Silverstone, the car selection, although a little bit now is still interesting. The driving is not hyper realistic, but it is easy to play without feeling unnatural. In my opinion, it get's a lot of undeserved hate because a lot of people expected a traditional Gran Turismo game even though the marketing team made it clear it wasn't (unlike a certain other game GT7). But I guess people were just really desperate for a PS4 Gran Turismo game so I can understand their disappointment.… Expand

    gt sport good game overall, but boring in a long term. also it lacks a proper gt league, but it haves the best school in gt franchise.

    Hands-down, one of the best Gran Turismo games I’ve ever played in my life. The handling of the cars in general is phenomenal without assists. Don’t think I’m ever gonna put this game down, this game is superior to Gran Turismo 7 in terms of handling the only thing that I truly lament is that there is no proper off-line single player, campaign mode huge bummer

    I just bought this game two weeks ago, and I love it. The campaign really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. The driving is great and gives you the standard gran turismo feel. The Split screen works flawlessly as well. The one thing is the car list. It's okay as it is, but is nothing compared to my other Gran Turismo, that being 5. The one thing that saved this game is I bought this gameI just bought this game two weeks ago, and I love it. The campaign really doesn't deserve the hate it gets.     Gran Turismo Sport is my first foray into sim racing. Even though it isn't a proper sim (like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, rFactor, etc.), it's an excellent launchpad for people who want to get into sim racing and start with something a bit simpler.

    Gran Turismo Sport does several things well. For one, I love the driver rating system. It allows me to race against people with a    Gran Turismo Sport is my first foray into sim racing. Even though it isn't a proper sim (like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, rFactor, etc.), it's an excellent launchpad for people who want to get into sim racing and start with something a bit simpler.

    Gran Turismo Sport does several things well. For one, I love the driver rating system. It allows me to race against people with a similar amount of pace and skill as me, and it has really helped me improve quickly. I like the presence of Daily Races, albeit I wish there were more than 3 daily races. I also love the FIA races. The Manufacturer's Series and Nations Cup are two of the most competitive sporting environments I have ever experienced, and they're extremely fun. Next, the heads-up display in Gran Turismo Sport is outstanding. It is intuitive and extremely beneficial for new racers. It even allows you to enable and disable traction control mid race, a minor feature that actually helps many users with standing starts. However, the standout feature of the heads up display is the radar view. Radar view allows you to see if there are cars next to or behind you, and it is extremely helpful. I wish more racing games had something similar to it. If you want an introduction into competitive racing, this game offers that.

    However, there are things I want to see improved. First off, sportsmanship rating was not created well. I have driven against countless dirty drivers who somehow have the highest possible sportsmanship rating. That's a problem, and it has created some frustrating races. I also find the track selection to be quite disappointing. There are 31 tracks in the game as of this comment, some of which are original circuits, but most of which are real circuits. I just find that to be quite limiting. Next, we have the tutorials. While there are many great tutorials, there are many driving techniques that you don't learn. For example, the tutorials do not cover how to drive with no assists on. This makes the jump to online racing very difficult as online races will only allow anti-lock brakes and traction control. It also means you don't learn how to perform a non-TCS-assisted standing start. Finally, the penalty system is an absolute joke. I understand that it's difficult to build an algorithm that can properly determine what is an is not dirty driving, but it is completely broken. I have had races where I punt people off the track and get no penalty, but later get a 5 second wall collision penalty for getting nudged off the circuit and into a wall. The wall collision penalty has made street circuits impossible to race on, and the poor implementation of the game's penalty system has ruined so many races for me. It needs to be fixed.

    I noticed that the online nature of this game rubbed some the wrong way. The lack of career mode and lack of offline features were central to their comments. I think these people have misplaced their expectations for what GT Sport wanted to achieve. I haven't played the other Gran Turismo games, but in my experience playing Forza Motorsport 2 more than 10 years ago, I understand the thrill of a good, offline racing game. I also understand the frustration over the necessity to buy Playstation Plus. My comment is this: if you want a game with tons of offline racing features, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. The offline features are severely lacking. However, if you want to get your feet wet with sim racing, buy this game, because it is extremely competitive, extremely fun, and an excellent place to start before graduating to a proper racing sim (such as the ones I mentioned.)    … Expand

    Due to the rather underwhelming reviews, i did not pick up this game until very very late (2022) because i thought it's just online and that online sucks. Boy, was i wrong... This game is actually phenomenal, it is the best Gran Turismo experience i have had! It not only got me hooked on racing games again (after years of a brake), i got to actually learn to enjoy online racing andDue to the rather underwhelming reviews, i did not pick up this game until very very late (2022) because i thought it's just online and that online sucks. Boy, was i wrong... This game is actually phenomenal, it is the best Gran Turismo experience i have had! It not only got me hooked on racing games again (after years of a brake), i got to actually learn to enjoy online racing and appreciate the skill that is required to be a high level esports racer (this game made me realized how unskilled i am myself). It all comes down to the great driving model, excellent online multiplayer and, the biggest surprise of all! the single player mode is actually very good, obviously not quite the scale of a regular "numbered" GT game, but the driving school, challenges is an excellent introduction for those who wish to understand racing better.
    Lesson learned - never doubt GT, never trust reviews, especially those rated with 0 or 1, which are written by haters.    … Expand

    One of the best racing games ever made. Personally I prefer arcade racing over simulation. The balance between both types of games are pretty good in GT Sport. From the technical perspective this game is a master piece. A lot of optimization techniques was applied and some sort of pre-rendered textures and 2d parallax scrolled layers to make such a beautiful 4K HDR in 60 FPS possible. An advise: The easiest and faster way to get money in my opinion is by wining the Professional Vision GT League races, with the Dodge SRT Tomahawk X VGT. As soon you get your first 1 Million Credits, go on USA Dodge Brand and buy it. This is by far the best car in the game!     Pros:
    - Outstanding track and car graphs;
    - Lot of Vision Car;
    - Realistic Driving;
    - Customization options for car, helmet and suit liveries.

    Cons:
    - Many VGT cars, but fewer real cars;
    - Poor playlist (actually terrible);
    - Impossible to have a side view of your car while driving it;
    - Poor graph out of the track;
    - Championships simply doesn't exist in this game. You do not accumulate points through a championship, you just get a race and get a trophy for your position at the end.    … Expand

The Game when it was released was just an online game and with a very small car library and game had almost nothing but then they worked on the game every day and making it have numerous graphical, physical and all sorts of improvements. Gran Turismo Sport today has numerous cars and is considered by the (FIA), by the majority of World Motorsport Drivers and Builders, as the best Racing and Simulation game. GT Sport is the only game that turns players into Real Drivers and today has the greatest amount of options that a racing game can offer and that's what my grade today is 10.… Expand

    Long time favourite racing game on the PS4, still play it frequently! The graphics are amazing even in the PS5 era. Nothing beats a sunset ride on the Nordschleife in one of the VGT concepts!

    They had one job to do, and they pulled it off with finesse - make driving fun. This game is both accessible and challenging and addictive. The visuals are superb, the controls are refined. I don't always win, but I'm never blaming the game. Totally worth the money.

    Kilka lat później kupiłem sobie kierownicę i chciałem potestować wszystkie symulatory dostępne na PS4. Jeśli chodzi o realizm GT Sport jest trochę słabsze od Assetto Corsa i Project Cars. Praktycznie o każdej porze dnia i roku wchodzimy do gry, wybieramy jeden z trzech dostępnych "codziennych wyścigów" i w kilka minut ścigamy się z innymi osobami o zbliżonym poziomie umiejętności do nas. Dzięki temu praktycznie każdy wyścig to walka o setne sekundy zderzak w zderzak. Świetna rywalizacja.

    Teraz największa bolączka gry. Jest to bez wątpienia system fair play. Zbyt łatwo osiągnąć najwyższy poziom fair play. Zbyt łatwo wypchnąć kogoś z toru bez otrzymania kary. Czasem zdarzają się takie absurdy, że ktoś inny uderzy w Ciebie, a to Ty dostaniesz karę. Ten problem dotyczy jednak głównie graczy na niższym poziomie. Lepsi kierowcy na poziomie skilla B i w górę jeżdżą już całkiem uczciwie.

    Polecam, aczkolwiek kierownica to konieczność. Nie musi to być sprzęt za kilka tysięcy, ale musi mieć FFB. T150/G29 to minimum.

    This game is quite fun, especially the online races and your personal improvement keep busy. I like to improve my player rank and be proud when I made it. The community seems stable, the only thing which I recon is that spanish drivers seem to miss the brake pedal online...but besides, yes great game! great car physic, cool tracks. I do not play single player so I cannot judge this, for this I have F1 2020 - online is GT Sport great. The "daily races" could change after 2-3 days, that would be nice, but this is a minor point. Why not 10? minus 1 because of the weak penalty system. I think I drive too "real" that is why sometimes I loose position because some dude thinks he can push me off track first....in real, there would be much more penalty. Another minus point is for "ghosting" either you leave it completely or you extend it longer, sometimes I do not know if I can get through or not, suddenly the car is "back" and I hit the back, bam penalty for me...if it would be OFF complete then I would know, ok I have to hit the brake or take another line.     Between the driving lessons, mission challenges, circuit experiences and leagues, to win everything will keep you busy for a while.

    I do miss the car tuning from past GT, and would love to see conditions change during an endurance race. But apart from that, I really enjoy the game. Graphics are gorgeous, and the driving is very good, except in rally mode (do yourself a favour and get Dirt Rally for that).    … Expand

    The game was missing alot of GTs mainstays at launch but everything has been added via DLC. Personally one of my favorite Gran Turismo games now and it deserves a 2nd chance from people who turned away 3 years ago

    Engine sounds are the same and look like a vacuum cleaner. Landscape graphics are weak, lifeless and with few details. Game animation is very bad or is practically zero. No details of the workshop or podium. Game without emotion.
    Even though it is an arcade game, the Xbox Forza is much better. Sony needs to change that for us PS games.

    First things first. This is a racing game that is primarily focused on competitive online racing. Think of it this way, it's a Gran Turismo spin-off game that was initially all about online racing. Do not buy this expecting it to be exactly like a main-line Gran Turismo games which are primarily focused on their vast career modes and car lists. I will try to tell you all about this game inFirst things first. This is a racing game that is primarily focused on competitive online racing. Think of it this way, it's a Gran Turismo spin-off game that was initially all about online racing. Do not buy this expecting it to be exactly like a main-line Gran Turismo games which are primarily focused on their vast career modes and car lists. I will try to tell you all about this game in my review. To begin, over this games life, it has received MANY content updates which increased the car and track configuration list from 168 cars and 29 track configurations to 328 cars and 82 track configurations as of this review. they have also since added a more traditional career mode known as GT League. while the are many events in the GT Leauge as of this review it's obviously not as big as the GT Modes in main-line GT games. Other elements of the career mode include Driving School (Licence Test basically. However, you don't get a digital licence), Mission Challenge (A variety of challenging missions, pretty self-explanatory), and finally Circuit Experience (A very helpful and challenging mode which has all the tracks in the game divided up into mission that take place over sectors so that you can learn the tracks individually at your own pace.). All of the career mode events minus GT Leauge have in-game video tutorials to help guide you through the events, which is quite helpful especially if you are have trouble completing the events. Now let's talk about the driving experience. Id classify this game as a casual simulator. it's not quite simple enough to be considered a simcade game, however, it not exactly a hardcore sim either. This game performs perfectly well on a controller and you can win races online using it. also, there is a motion control option available which is absolutely superb, especially if you aren't ready or wanting to use a driving wheel. it allows you to get a better feel for the car and drive smoother and more consistently. With a Force Feedback Driving wheel, this game really sings. you can feel the weight of the car shift so much better and the wheel has a resistance that you can feel when turning, and it feels different in pretty much every car. Now onto sound design and visuals. To begin sounds in this game have been MASSIVELY improved compared to all other GT games that had preceded it. the sounds of the cars have more depth, for example, The Mercedes McLaren SLR has a deep sounding V8 sound which is further enhanced by the supercharger whine that could even be heard a bit outside the car. The environmental sounds have also been improved you can hear cheering spectators birds and wind resistance noises. Visually the game is stunning, especially when playing on a 4K HDR TV. the colour accuracy is on point, it's not over or undersaturated and the colours pop when they should like during the dramatic sunsets at certain times of day, and it gett dark when it needs to. Nighttime at the Nurburgring 24 soo dark that you have to rely on the headlights of your car to see in some areas. Performance-wise the game target 60fps at all time in every performance mode. I have been playing since launch and the frame never drop low enough for me to notice. Finally, let's talk about online gameplay. First, there is Sport Mode the one the game is named after there is 3 Daily Race that runs for a whole week before being replaced then there are FIA Manufacturer and Nations Cup races that run on strict schedules that are different depending on the race season. Personally, I quite like the Daily Races as they offer easy to enter events where you can race competitively with other players which make for some great fun battles that take place over a race. There are Ranking that helps the game match you with similarly skilled players. These are known as Sportsmanship (SR how safe a driver you are) and Driver Ratings (DR how much you improve your qualified position during the race). The is one complaint that comes up with online racing, however. The penalty system in the game punishes players that hit others and cut corners by penalizing them with slow down penalties. Unfortunately, the system can sometimes punish the victim in a collision which can be frustrating. Never the less Sport Mode produces some epic on-track action that you won't be forging for a while after wars. When you finally get your first win it's an immensely satisfying feeling that you may never forget. Everything considered this is definitely one of the best racing games this generation and its definitely worth your time. Thank you for reading!… Expand

    Đồ họa, âm thanh và hiệu ứng trong game rất tuyệt, mọi chi tiết đều được nhà phát triển trau chuốt đến từng chi tiết. Về mặt gampelay, không quá khó chơi cho người mới bắt đầu. Số lượng hãng xe và xe trong game rất đa dạng, kể cả cách tùy chỉnh dán decal cũng được nhà phát triển trau chuốt. Love it!

    Лучшая гонка на рынке. Машины фантастические , физика уникальная для каждого жеребца. Саундтрек хороший, трассы фантастически красивые. Не хватает сюжетки и динамической погоды/времени суток. Игра очень и очень хорошая. Отдельно хочу выделить главное меню, это лучшее меню,что я видел.Лучшая гонка на рынке. Машины фантастические , физика уникальная для каждого жеребца. Саундтрек хороший, трассы фантастически красивые. Не хватает сюжетки и динамической погоды/времени суток. Игра очень и очень хорошая. Отдельно хочу выделить главное меню, это лучшее меню,что я видел.

    Good game. There's a lot to do. Nice that they also promote the car brands by having a museum. It's a realistic game. A bit difficult at first, but this quickly improves after a while.

    Can't believe some reviews here. The ammount of details in this game shows the love Poliphony has for this sport. A lot of people just deserves an arcade race. Waiting for Gran Turismo 7 !!

    Underrated by arcade lover fake fans. This is a great racing experience well-balanced for every type of player yet people complain lack of arcade stuff that never was necessary. They cry about it only because of nostalgia factor.     Missing a lot of the typical Gran Turismo content but if purchased on sale this game is great. Amazing graphics and physics provide an awesome experience. I just hope GT7 steps it up a notch.

    it depends on what you from it. If you want to race people in a competitive environment, online, then this is a must buy. The daily races are excellent, because they pair you up with drivers with a simalar skill level to you. Also, the saftey rating means if you play nice, you will not be paired with any rammers, unlike (cough cough) Forza. However, if you want a juicy offline career mode,it depends on what you from it.     Acquistato dopo l'aggiornamento contenente la 'gt league' che, secondo me, doveva essere sin da subito parte integrante del gioco e non un aggiornamento seppur rilevante e soprattutto legato all acquisizione di qualche trofeo. Comunque un gran titolo dove traspare sin da subito la cura per i marchi presenti che lo rende una sorta di museo dell automobilismo

    Absolutely the defining racing game of current gen. Gran turismo is the gold standard of modern games. It always has been. The move towards online racing and away from AI racing is a wise move. People get more out of a game by playing each other and not a repetitive AI system. The car list has grown into a mountain of awesome cars and puts almost all current gen games in the dust. So on paper a game like grid or Forza has a lot of cars but in reality the games itself doesn’t, it’s the dlc blocked by additional paywalls. Gran turismo has quality paid dlc. Racing against The one and only Lewis Hamilton is very cool and very fun. Very unique dlc too. No other game looks as good as gran turismo and sheer level on consistent high quality shows. Most other sim and arcade titles I try don’t blow me away like gran turismo does. The other games get stale or small flaws become glaring flaws after so many hours of gameplay play. Hats off to gran turismo sport. I’m excited to watch the market begin to clone the new formula gran turismo has come up with once again.… Expand

    Although the single player mode isn't as good as its series predecessors, it is still nice content to me. Multiplayer is great, even though the penalty system might be better. Very good and fun game overall.

    My first gran turismo since gt1 on psx and I have say it's great. I play it only single player and after many patches it's also great solo game. Have much fun with goldins dirving school and circuit experience, also mission chalenges are fun. Unfortunately Gt League is quite boring but still game is superb.

    In its 2019/2020 form it's a leading racing sim. In terms of race physics, graphics and content the game is still the best on PS4. It plays and looks great on the standard PS4, but is also incredibly well built for the PS4 Pro, where the game looks photorealistic. It has all the single player races, licence challenges and race challenges that a Gran Turismo veteran would expect. Furthermore, it allows licence and challenge scores/times to be set in comparison to your PSN friends, so it's possible to develop competition even if not online at the same time as friends. Of course, there are global leaderboards too with some exceptional times. The game is well optimised to play with a controller, which is a big win over Project Cars which has struggled with controller optimisation. Of course a racing wheel is advantageous with any racer, but Gran Turismo is the best choice for a controller racer. Additionally, it's one of the very few racing games that includes split screen 2 player counch play, which is a welcome inclusion for that competition with your siblings or friends on the same screen. I had a race off competition with my brothers, which was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. With all the praise comes a few points of criticism. Firstly, the damage system is not existent which is unacceptable at this point. It feels absurd to be able to hit wall at 200mph and only have a scuff on the car, it takes risk away from the racing and encourages wreckless bumper car racing. It's unrealistic and for a racer that provides itself on depth of realism, the lack of a damage system is a real let down. Furthermore, while the online play is highly competitive and has a good system to filter between people who want to race for real or for fun, the offline AI isn't great. It has improved over time through patches and is viable, but won't blow you away. In conclusion, this game offers massive shelf life after being criticised for limited content at launch. Since then single player has been revamped and expanded, the car library has grown significantly and the game has been well optimised in the mean time. It's a proud addition to the perfectionist studio at Sony, but still is missing key features of other racers. If you have never played the game then it's never been a better time to try, as it's usually available on the PS store and at retailers for around £15/$20. That's a great price for this established AAA racer.

    I love this game, played almost 100 hours in single player only, there's so much free content added regularly it's quite amazing, never even tried to race online. Graphics and game mechanics are top notch.

    Gran Turismo Sport release was a fluke. But the recent updates adding cars, leagues, tracks, the game finally deserves a brighter spot on racing games in this generation. If they continue adding content, by the end of 2018, it maybe possible be one of the best if not the best racing game of the past few years.

    This has got to be one of the most weirdly underrated games of all time. Unless you're a pleb with no internet or an xbox fanboy, then you're gonna have a good time, especially with a wheel. Not to mention there's a heap of 'offline' stuff anyway.

    In my top 20 games of all time & still putting out free monthly DLC 2 years on. Bravo

    Game is great. Very good support after release. I absolutely love multiplayer which is engaging, fun and fair. There is a lot of singleplayer content and I spent more than 100h just on singleplayer.

    Really, Gran Turismo Sport IS fantastic. It's not perfection, but it really does not suck, like what these bad reviews says about this game.
    Details, graphics, musics, ui interface, physics, content, ( free dlc of cars ) replay showcase and online racing (with new penalty system), are the reasons that I really enjoy playing this game, and not buyer's remorse for me.

    I'm writing this review in 2019. We have now offline career, arcade mode with offline random races against bots, time trial, vr mode and more. I'm loving it.

    - Graphics and performance are the best this generation can offer. - every car available in vr - split screen - cars have a great feeling and sound - unlocking cars is easy with daily workouts - intuitive UI, great artsyle -    I'm writing this review in 2019.     - music in menu is very stylish. the racing music I'd rather turn off
    - replays look great

    This game got me into cars. It's the most fun you'll ever have driving virtual cars in a video-game. The online mode is outstanding and the issues re: lack of content have more or less been addressed at this point. Plenty of fun to be had. I've been playing it for over a year now and have no reason to stop.

    Great game! it has everything you want on a sim racing game. Details, cars, circuits, online racing and free content, competitive online mode and single player campaign. Customization could have been improved but overall, it's a must for PS4's car lovers.

As always with gran turismo games it has the driving school and other race challenges which I am having great fun with trying to unlock as many cars as possible before tackling the racing tournaments which were added post launch.     The cycle of gameplay is: race cars in 2D, earn money and daily gift car, go into VR to admire recently acquired cars and then take them for a test drive. Rinse and repeat. I'm totally hooked on this routine.

    The graphics, sound, music and presentation are all pristine too.

    Na początku gdy kupiłem grę miałem mieszane uczucia, lecz po kilku ładnych godzinach gry, zakochałem się w tej grze, tym bardziej że cały czas producenci starają się uszczęśliwiać nas nowymi autami czy trasami. Gra wygląda niesamowicie, auta prowadzą się bardzo realistycznie, a rozgrywka online to coś wspaniałego.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Gran Turismo Sport is a great game. However, while it has fixed some of the issues in the past, it created new problems that needs to be met in the future.
    Most of the cars in the game have detailed interiors, and all of them actually look great. There is no jagged lines, and there is no imports from Gran Turismo 4, which was a main issue in the past. Most of the VGT cars has no interior, but does substitute for other camera angles. There is no infuriating color chips like in GT5 & GT6, which was stupid and infuriating. Also, for once, there is no microtransactions. Like in the past, you can earn gift cars. In fact, any car in the next update or now can be your gift car, either by Driving School, Mission Challenges, or Daily Workout. For now, the new cars and tracks are imports from GT6, but also makes the car sounds better and the tracks more detailed. No car in the game fells like an exact import from the previous games. Also, to point out, Carrer mode is NOT completely dead. Even from the start, since you could complete the Mission Challenges and the Driving School. The cars sound amazing. The tracks are gorgeous and are beutifully made. Online lobbies were as good as on GT6, with a few additions to it. The new flagging system adds realism, and the penalty system, while flawed, is a great addition to the game, as in realisitc races in the lobbies, or basically the FIA Manufacturer or National Races, or even Daily races, as people who play dirty, gets their Sportsmanship Ranking dropped a notch, and a time penalty, which would be added to your final position if ou choose not to slow down. Gran Turismo Sport seems as though it is trying to improve driving skills, teacg driving skills, and try to be a great Simcade racing game. Howevr, some adjustments needs to be made in order for that dream to become true.
    The car list has to be one of the issues. Sure, now it has a lot of tracks, in fact, more than Gran Turismo 4. However, that game had over 500 more cars, and it's from 2005! GT5 & 6 together had about 11 times more cars than GT Sport. Sure, Project Cars 2 may have around the same amount, however, that game is part of a new franchise, not one that is 20 years old. Yes, the developers did say they wanted to "restart" the GT franchise. Howver, just why? Maybe I'm being too critical. Remember, not every great racing game needs 1500 cars right? Also, while carrer mode is there, it does need much more effort and work placed into it. Another issue is the museum. It serves no puropse, but only to teach you history. Not only racing history, but other things such as the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Ok? Another big issue is the only online issue. If you don't have a PlayStation Plus subscription, or does not have Wifi, you are out of luck, as you cannot save the game, and is only limited to arcade mode, which is a huge issue. For the most part, the pros overpower the cons. This game gets a 8.2/10. Please buy this game IF you have Wifi, a PlayStation Plus subscription, and a PlayStation 4. I mean, everyone should know now that any Gran Turismo game is PlayStation only. Anyway, see you later, and take care!    … Expand

The only competition is Forza 7 but its not as good because it lacks the ridiculous amount of little details which Gran Turismo has to offer. It has been said many times and I say it again, this game is basically car porn.

    Surprisingly this game has also improved in the sound department. Gone are the times when the engines had put me into sleep. Whats coming out your speakers now, is the true sound of a roaring beast. You know what I mean when you turn up the volume and drive an SLS AMG GT3.

    Now the games receives a monthly update with free cars and sometimes tracks and I have to say, those update are awesome. Not only they are free! but the cars are always awesome and each update tries to satisfy every taste. You get classic cars, street racer from Japan, high performance cars and some weird cars like the VW Samba bus or an F1 car.

    Unfortenately the game has little to offer when it comes to tracks. Sure, they look extremely good but I wish it had the variety of a game like Project Cars where you can go on a nice sunday drive on the Californian highway or Azure coast.

    Anyway, another very controversial topic is that you have to be online to enjoy the game. When offline, you can play the arcade mode but you wont have access to your garage where all your cars stored. Now I cant really understand the criticism here. Troughout the years gaming has changed drastically and many games require you to be online aswell as platforms like Steam or Origin. So why is the outrage now so big?

    I would like to talk about the driving physics now as in my opinion, this is the part where game succeeds way ahead of the competition. I'm not a passionate driver in real life but I love driving in GT Sport. It feels very accessible yet very demanding. Cars react very comprehensible altough sometimes the oversteer is to much but you can easily compensate that by adjusting your vehicle.
    As an example, Forza 7 feels great but there I have the feeling that the car is kinda stuck to the street while in GT it requires a lot of practice to master a curve.

    And mastering a track is what makes this game so much fun. The attention to detail is amazing, for instance you have cones on the track giving you a clue on when to brake and when to take the turn.

    I hope Polyphony Digital wont take those user reviews from kiddies into consideration. Its not the best Gran Turismo but heck, if you own a decent 4K TV whith real HDR support, then you're in for an eyegasm.    … Expand

    Granturismo sport aims to reinvent the franchise, gone are is the classic career mode, in its wake is the much-anticipated sports mode. Gran Turismo brings the visceral experience of racing against other humans to your living room. The game does an incredible job of matching your skill level to that of others for close clean racing.

    Gran turismo sport is one of the greatest racing games on ps4. It is so fun and there is so much to do. There is a freaking photo mode, where you can publish your photos of cars in different settings, its awesome. This game deserves better reviews.

    Nothing to do with Gran Turismo on the PS1 and PS2, but for the guys who liked those games, this game is quite good. Customizing the cars is fun, and controlling them on the track is quite hard. Overall, good game.

    I used to play GT6 for 70% in career mode and 30% online races, i guess that i am fck now? :-(
    You can alter the car's setting but you can't buy extra parts?
    I'm weeping like a little girl!
    I'm glad that i still own a PS3 with GT6, so if i got bored i can still go back!

    Update: everything is solved with updates, so now a give a solid 9/10

    I really want to love GT Sport. Driveclub (2014) has still the best graphics of all driving games, has the better single player campaign, is the better better game overall. GT Sport has okayish graphics (lighting is great, but it has unpolished trees, people and some tracks look low polygon), has really great driving physics (though unfortunately only 2D physics like most competitors too),I really want to love GT Sport. But why is there no real single player content? Only driving school "tutorial" missions is a bad joke. And why only 13 tracks and only 50 cars (with variations 160 cars)? No dynamic weather conditions, nor any weather conditions at all! Why? The community out cry is well deserved. Please release free DLCs to add more tracks, cars and single player content (an offline playable singleplayer campaign)!! Have a look how well Driveclub got polished after the rocky launch, it got masses of free DLCs, dynamic weather conditions, an bike addon. You can do better. At the moment GT Sport can be called "Gran Turismo 7 Prologue" due it's missing content (singleplayer, cars, tracks, fun) :(

    Edit: I changed my rating from 3 to 8 as the developers finally added a real singleplayer mode! Thanks for hearing your community, but next time think about not botching your launch by caring about singleplayer!    … Expand

    With an update in late December, they added a single player campaign and several new cars, giving the game the content it needed besides online racing. Anyone that complained about no single player should update their review because now GT Sport is definitely worth playing and a way better driving experience than other racing games.     Its not the beautiful racing game i ever see but its the best racing game if we talk about the feeling and sensation of driving, for me he's waybetter than Forza 7, and cars modeling are just AMAZING, i give it 10/10 because he deserve it. thanks

The matchmaking and ranking system is very, very good, and I have had no connection issues bar around three times out of 50 races that I wasJust reached 30 hours playtime, 25 hours driving time, most of which has been in Sport Mode. The Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars (or GT3 and GT4) are a joy to drive, and racing with randoms is great if you keep it clean and drive intelligently as to not get on peoples' nerves.

    By the way, try motion controls if you use a controller. It makes the game become a whole new experience and you won't want to play a game that doesn't support its use afterwards.    … Expand

    This is the best racing multiplayer you can get (on PS4), and I know them all. The matchmaking mechanism is perfect. And this game looks and runs beautiful. With the new campaign and all the other solo achievements and unlockables this truly is a game (not just a simulator) for that you want to come back again an again, to discover it, and beat it, and beat all the other guys out there :)

    I was wary when I found out there would be no classic campaign like GT titles in the past. However after finally beating the campaign I have to say I like what they're trying to do with this game. This game is more about racing than collecting cars. Casual players like me might find it harder to win some races in the sports mode but I can see myself improving if I race more often because I'd then gain time faster and making less mistakes.

    GT Sport consist of Arcade Mode for some offline racing against AI, Campaign Mode where you go through Driving School, Mission Challenges and Circuit experience to improve your driving. And then there is Sport mode where you race real players online in daily races and championships. Scapes mode for the camera loving people (my least used mode but you could create some stunning photos with this mode if that's your thing) also Lobby for online lobby. And that's pretty much it. This game looks to cater the online-only gamers, however it should be noted that offline mode called GT League is coming this December for all the offline players for free.

    You buy cars from the Brand Central, however, you'd be rewarded with free cars if you finish the campaigns and play the game often (Because most rewards are random you could end up with double or triple of a same car). Basically if you play this game often, you won't need to buy cars (unless you really want the car that you never got as reward). Car selection is lacking if you compared it to GT6 (approx 150 cars at launch). And Track selections are limited as well. Thankfully, PD promised more cars and tracks are coming soon. For free.

    You could still tune your cars but not the same as previous titles. You'll be able to change/design your car's livery, performance wise though you can't upgrade exhaust, manifold, intake, etc. You'd just trade in your Mileage points (another currency in the game besides credits) to upgrade your car's performance and weights. During sports mode the performance upgrades are irrelevant though because all cars would have fixed tune to make the race more balanced. (Gr.4 category is quite unbalanced sadly. The hot hatches are quite OP).

    Graphics are stunning, the driving mechanics are fun but I'm a little disappointed that dynamic weather and day/night cycle doesn't return. I hope they will be added in future updates that would be epic.

    The online racing is pretty good. You have Driver Ratings and Sportmanship Ratings. Basically if you drive like an a-hole you'd be paired with other a-holes. If you start playing you'd be paired with these aggressive drivers with low ratings. But as you get better and improve both ratings, I've seen some solid clean racing. It's not perfect though. The penalty system is pretty flawed and encourages dirty driving sometimes. Which is why I think PD should've implement damage physics. In my opinion if there is proper damage, it will deter those aggressive players screwing around other people who wants to race properly. Also they could've use the stop and go or drive thru the pits as penalties. However it's better than nothing (cough cough forza 7).

    Sound is much improved. Every car doesn't sound the same (doesn't sound like vacuum cleaner anymore!) and has its own characteristics. They also sound different depending on which camera view of the car. The sounds are not exaggerated like the Forza series and not as brutal as Assetto Corsa but now you could alter with the sound volumes to your liking (increase engine sound, transmission shifts, tyres, etc). The soundtracks however, not as memorable as GT titles of the past (no famous bands, etc).

    Pros of GT Sport: Excellent driving, stunning graphics, sounds are very good, sport mode is addicting, free updates! (No expansion passes, paid dlc, loot boxes), You unlock all the cars just by playing the game, you could compare time with other friends who play the game (you could even see how the fastest drivers do their lap to improve your own lap), has penalty sytem.

    Cons of GT Sport: Limited tracks atm (more tracks incoming - I want Spa, Monza, Circuit deLa Sarthe, Yas Marina! ), limited cars selection atm (500+ more cars incoming in the future - I want more supercars and hypercars!), limited modes (GT League is coming soon), damage is disappointing, flawed penalty system, no day/night cycle, no dynamic weather (hopefully all this will be added/fixed in the future), tuning not as in depth such as Assetto Corsa or PCars 2, soundtracks not memorable (you could make your car's engine as your personal soundtrack though turn it all the way up!).

    You may see me more cons than pros from me but this is just me a GT loyalist since the days of PS1 nitpicking. If all the cons are fixed/ updated than it would be a 10/10 title for me (except the soundtracks, it's unnecessary). If this is your first GT game you will definitely have fun with it. I'm loving this game despite the flaws.    … Expand

    GT Sport boasts an excellent driving model and superb car models, but primarily it’s a paramount step towards blurring the line between electronic entertainment and sport, and on a global scale. I just hope Polyphony continues working on the game until it reaches its full potential. [13/2017, p.42]

    Standard online races built on proven-by-the-years core of the Gran Turismo series. However, it suffers from an acute lack of content. In addition, if you play solo you have to avoid Sport. [Issue#280]
