Feb 2, 2021You’ll likely have a really good time with Gods Will Fall. Straight up, it’s a good game. A lack of polish keeps it from being a great game, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had here.
-
Mar 1, 2021Gods Will Fall is a beautiful mess of ideas that sometimes innovate and surprise and sometimes fall face first into the abyss. The gambling mechanic of entering a dungeon and hoping you rolled an easier area to be better prepared for harder areas later is frankly, awful. As much as I loved almost every other aspect of this game, this one issue brought down an otherwise standout game by at least a full point for me. I may sound a little harsh on this game, but ultimately, I would still encourage people to give this game a shot. There are so many good ideas in here that, despite my hangups, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this to people looking for a fresh take on the roguelike genre.

Feb 4, 2021While it has some positive elements that may still make it worth checking out, Gods Will Fall's procedurally generated difficulty hurts itself more than it really helps in the long run.
-
Jan 29, 2021Gods will fall is a challenge. A work that will test your ability to analyze each of the levels and enemies you face. It can be a bit frustrating, but it is also most satisfying when fully mastered. To the gods!
-
Jan 31, 2021Gods Will Fall takes inspiration from some of the most iconic roguelike games out there, but its limited replayability and a lack of content make it a hard recommendation, even for fans of the genre.
-
Jan 31, 2021Gods Will Fall is steeped in good ideas, but would have gained a lot by taking them further. Equipped with an effective artistic direction, unique bosses and dungeons, and a link mechanic that works, the game manages to make us want to play and replay in order to meet the proposed challenge, and manage to defeat the ten deities present. The proposed experience is therefore pleasant, and the studio really holds something. Sadly, Gods Will Fall constantly seems on restraint, leaving a lingering impression of superficiality and repetitiveness.
-
Jan 28, 2021Gods Will Fall's approach is really good (and very original, within its genre), but it falls on deaf ears due to too repetitive mechanics. If you are patient you will be able to enjoy it ... Otherwise, these are not your gods.
-
Jan 28, 2021Whilst Gods Will Fall has the potential to provide some genuine excitement with its unique features, its randomised difficulty feels unnecessarily obtuse. There's certainly a challenge you can embrace, but it seems to come down to luck more than skill that sees you progress. If you've copious amounts of patience, Gods Will Fall has some stellar moments, but by flaw of design they are too few and far between.
-
Jan 28, 2021I think the most disappointing thing is that, at the moment, there is very little replayability. After only about five hours, I beat the game, which included the three extra DLC dungeons and gods from the Valiant Edition.
-
Feb 10, 2021I enjoy the challenge of rogue-like games, but Gods Will Fall feels more frustrating than it does challenging. The game’s design really stacks things against you, to the point where it just doesn’t seem worth the effort. You’re better off seeking challenging gameplay entertainment elsewhere.
-
Jan 29, 2021Gods Will Fall bring some interesting idea to the roguelike genre; however, it’s too easy, and the lack of difficulty and technical issues make it harder to enjoy.
-
Jan 28, 2021From a narrative perspective, the elevated difficulty and unfair mechanics are perfectly appropriate. How else do you make players feel like they're taking on the gods themselves? Uneven rules and impossible odds, combined with the sinister music and the desolate world, create a lasting feeling of hopeless doom. And yet for me, it's too much.
-
Mar 18, 2021Gods Will Fall tries to formulate a dungeon crawler based on the principles of Roguelikes and Soulslike. Although the idea is good, both narrative and gameplay, some fundamental elements of the genre don't quite hit the mark, leaving Clever Beans a few notches lower than what it could be. Many of the problems can be resolved with some patches and by adding new content, which would certainly improve the experience. We'll be waiting, but for now, you can't help getting the feeling of an opportunity missed.
-
Feb 8, 2021Gods Will Fall has some strong ideas but the randomness doesn't add to the fun, it adds to the tedium. Harsh punishment and weak rewards makes it hard to recommend, despite the enjoyble boss fights and Bloodlust mechanic.
-
Feb 1, 2021Gods Will Fall follows an interesting path, but the battle system is botched, the world loses its' fascination too soon and thus the compulsive repition gets frustrating.
-
Jan 29, 2021Developer Clever Beans started with a great idea in Gods Will Fall, it just doesn’t seem like they fully worked it out. The game could have been more than what it is, and right now it just felt like a simplistic dungeon crawler that would feel right at home on a mobile device. It played well, it looked fine, it just could have been much more.
-
Jan 28, 2021Gods Will Fall should have been so much more fun. An average action-adventure with a few roguelike elements, it’s combat is both fiddly and too simplistic to engage. Its Gods fail to inspire, and its world lacks tangible reward, while hurting the player with its high-stakes warrior loss mechanic.
