    Really engaging story and amazing action, and one of my favourite games. This is a must play for anyone that likes a good, fun action game.

    The perfect game in every way. Idk what else I could even say. It’s beautiful still even almost 4 years on. The gameplay is fun and the story is fantastic

    One of the best games of this console generation. I hadn't played any of the other God of War games, but absolutely loved this entire experience. The story is perfectly crafted and told, and I loved the seamless transitions between exposition and gameplay. The graphics are stunning, and the environments are well-crafted. Finally, the combat is the star of the show; I was thoroughlyOne of the best games of this console generation.     A very enjoyable game. The story is exciting making you think most of the time. Even though a lot of missing information is present and we do not know how Kratos went from greek to norse mythology, how his wife died and etc... The ending itself wasn't that great but then i noticed there is another ending which gives us the sequel. Gotta try it out!

    Absolutely phenomenal game through and through.
    The story is immense and so fulfilling right to the end. The characters you meet along the way are some of the best branched out characters in modern gaming. Their own personal stories intertwining with each other.

    When a God of War game was announced I was very skeptical at first. Reviving a dead franchise is very risky and very hard, there are many expectations and many challenges.
    How can you possibly continue a character that whole idea is to kill stuff mercilessly? How can you improve a universe that has virtually been destroyed?
    Well, God of War 2018 is the answer. This amazing game that has created some of the best experiences on the PS4.    … Expand

    I love this game from the start it throws you into the action and never loses its speed.
    The story is one of the best stories ever and they made the combat even better than the original games.

    This game is a 10/10 for the story and graphics but i feel like the boss fights could be improved
    greatly. Even though they are good they keep on repeating the same bosses with little variation. And, in my opinion, the rpg elements felt unneeded and when you are fighting the enemies it also feels so simple and easy if you used the same attacks.     Great game with amazing gameplay and graphics. Since this was my first God of War i thought i would be very disconnected with the story but that wasnt the case - only thing was that the ending was a bit confusing for me. Wouldve liked more bosses though and the boy was a bit annyoing.

    On the positive side, visuals are nice and the gameplay is fine. On the negative side, the open world is only for the sake of being open world, although the game is completely linear. What really makes this an annoying game are the horrible dialogs and the permanent stupidity of both Kratos and his son.     God of War, although being both a reboot to a hack and slash series and an IP from a AAA company, succeeds immensely in giving you a story of a man teaching his son to be a god, and a son teaching his father to be human.

    Dad of War is awful, they destroyed the game completely, a unique gender of platform game was replaced with a generic action rpg, with mediocre story and forced emotional scenes, trying to follow the same cake recipe of The Last of Us, where every single thing is scripted, to give a ''movie like'' experience. After all, If it already worked before several times, why wouldn't work again?Dad of War is awful, they destroyed the game completely, a unique gender of platform game was replaced with a generic action rpg, with mediocre story and forced emotional scenes, trying to follow the same cake recipe of The Last of Us, where every single thing is scripted, to give a ''movie like'' experience. It's shameful that Santa Monica didn't had the courage to create a new IP, they had to surf in a name that is already consecrated, and knew the people would buy, regardless of anything. You can bet that if the main character wasn't Kratos, which people (myself included) already have an emotional remembrance about him, this game would not have all this overrated reaction.… Expand

    Not at all lived up to hype for me. The story is very boring the gameplay aside from some boss fights is repetitive. awesome graphics and voice acting though.

They created one of the defining titles of the current generation and a technical marvel whose stunning beauty in motion words cannot describe. And there’s one more thing. Barlog’s touching reaction to his masterpiece’s scores shows that even in the world of huge budgets, micropayments, loot boxes and sales forecasts there still is a place for artists who pour their hearts into their work.
