Ghost Giant ended up being a much more immersive story than I expected. VR or not, it tells a tale that many of us can relate to and is very touching. It focuses on a character with child-like innocence all while dealing with some pretty adult issues. It’s playful, charming, and touching. It won’t wow you with the VR experience if you’re used to that, but it does use the mechanics effectively and really engages you with the scenes unfolding below you.

Ghost Giant gives players a wonderfully interactive story to lose themselves in on a weekend afternoon, but don’t let its cute appearance fool you — there’s more here than meets the eye. Highly recommended.

From it's cute inhabitants to its picture book environments, Ghost Giant is a joy to be part of. It's perhaps a bit on the short side but the time you spend here will be fun and immersive. The story is very moving and surprisingly deep. It's soundtrack pushes you through the story nicely and accentuates it's more emotional parts beautifully. Interacting with its world is glorious and I have never felt part of a VR games world more than I did here.

For Zoink’s first foray into the VR space, they’ve done on incredible job. Ghost Giant is one of those unique must-play VR experiences that effectively demonstrates just what VR can do that traditional screens can’t

It is at times delightful and at others unflinching, with moments of VR purity that tear down the barrier between you and your companion. If you want a look at where the true power of VR lies, look no further than Ghost Giant.

Ghost Giant belongs in the conversation for the very best PSVR game. Its utterly phenomenal series of scenes will live long in the memory, complemented by a narrative that demands immediate investment. Louis is a wonderful companion, too – a relatable character who you’ll quickly learn to care for. Outstanding presentation that rewards exploration is the cherry on top of a title we won’t be forgetting about any time soon. If you own one of Sony's headsets, you absolutely cannot miss out on this special experience.

Ghost Giant is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. It delivers a beautiful world and a cute story that explores some serious problems anyone can suffer, therefore creating an experience that is both relaxing and emotional. A few control related problems, can't beat its charm. So if you are looking for an imaginative and intriguing, yet short VR experience, look no further. This is it and it is great.

An eye-opening puzzler that boasts an attractive aesthetic and charming cast of characters, Ghost Giant empowers you in a very unique way - you actively feel like you're making someone's life better; how many other games can claim the same?

Overall, Ghost Giant is not about great gameplay – the object-manipulation tasks are standard VR fare and only really serve to move the narrative forward. But oh, the narrative. The trials and tribulations of Louis and the rest of the denizens of little Sancourt will tug at your heartstrings and leave you thinking about them long after playing. Strap on your PSVR headset and definitely check Ghost Giant out, but be prepared to stop and wipe your eyes more than once.

Ghost Giant may look like just another VR object-based puzzle-playground from the outside, but its charming world and beautiful story tugged on my heartstrings in a way I wasn't expecting. Considering its only three or four hours long, it’s a PSVR game worth making time for.

Ghost Giant is a clever and emotional adventure which makes really good use of PlayStation VR and Move controllers. It's short and maybe slightly overpriced, but it's definitely an experience worth recommending.

Ghost Giant is a perfect example of how the VR adapts very well re: puzzle games, thanks also to a very satisfying interaction with the environment.

Overall, Ghost Giant has been a fun experience for the PSVR. The characters are endearing as the story, the VR is very engaging and engulfing, and the simplicity of the controls helps to keep focus on the fun and side-experiences you happen upon. There’s a lot to love about this title.

A VR tale that’s both wonderfully light-hearted and solemnly mature, the modest Ghost Giant may not be the type of game to dwell on the why or how behind its supernatural premise, but with a game as well-crafted as this one, that’s more than okay.

Ghost Giant is easily one of the most accessible PSVR puzzle games available in 2019, despite the control issues I encountered during my playthrough. There is a deep story about mental health here, but its impact is certainly softened by the cartoony adventures of Louis and his oversized ghost friend.

Beyond its charming artstyle, Ghost Giant is a surprisingly emotional game with an intriguing story, filled with likeable characters and some enjoyable puzzles. Though it does have a few technical issues, it’s well worth the time.

Although the length is typical for a PS VR title (it lasts a just few hours), the depth of emotion this game can evoke during that time certainly is not. Ghost Giant raises the bar, not the dead. [Issue@162, p.88]

Ghost Giant is set in a charming universe where we deal with lovely characters and funny, yet a bit easy, puzzles. The atmosphere is pleasant but sometimes, we're a bit annoyed by the PS Move tracking or by the script, often too predictible.

Anyone who enjoyed last year’s tragically underappreciated Flipping Death will find a lot to love in Ghost Giant. It’s easily one of the most charming VR games out there, with clever puzzles and a surprisingly layered story. The characters and world are fantastic, and while the VR gameplay can sometimes be problematic, this is definitely a game worth hooking up the PSVR’s myriad of cables for.

An interesting narrative adventure closer to some point'n click games than to any other game. It's cute graphics and character are what make this game special, despite some minor technical flaws and the feeling that we wanted to have a little bit more of everything on Ghost Giant.

Although I'm not usually one for video game stories, Ghost Giant really captivated me with its lovely tale. On top of that, its world looks incredible in VR and the puzzling scenarios are quite enjoyable to master. I just wish that there was more to it.

Ghost Giant is a beautiful story in a beautiful world, although sometimes it forgets about the player, leaving them completely out of the action, something you don’t want to see in a VR game. However, if you want a lighthearted point-and-click sort of adventure for PS VR, this is a good option.

At its heart, Ghost Giant is a story centered around mental health struggles and the necessity of seeking help from others. Unfortunately, the developers do little to explore the issues beyond using them as a pretext for the Giant to solve Louis’ external, superficial struggles, leaving little opportunity to bridge the emotional gap between Louis and I. Luckily, Ghost Giant has a beautiful world full of charm to help fill that gap.

Ghost Giant is a touching adventure filled with simple puzzles, cozy environments and a story of joy and sorrow. If you are looking for a challenging experience this is not for you though. Instead it is more of an interactive story with simple but enjoyable gameplay. And most importantly; a great and memorable little tale.

Ghost Giant isn't revolutionary. It feels like a VR advancement of a classic PC point-and-click adventure game, albeit one with a great look, phenomenal sound design, and a story I'm not ashamed to admit had me choking up a bit toward the end. You won't be blown away by the immersion here, but it's fun to interact with the dollhouse-like sets and just sort of goof around. Like a lot of VR titles, Ghost Giant is a shorter experience, but it's a solid one that tells a charming story in a vibrant and colorful world.

Ghost Giant suffers from a bit of an identity crisis, in that it can’t quite decide whether it wants to be an adorable, low-stakes exploration game or if it wants to be about capital-B big issues.
