Good and tragic episode. But I disliked Telltale's behavior to making season 2 . Game didn't end exactly.
The choices doesn't change the game directly but you feel it will be in season 2

Is this an unplayable game? Totally no. But I think I totally lost my interest towards this game and will not purchase 2nd season if there will be any. Here is the reason:
Yes, you are making choices and it has effects to your game-play and scenes. But unfortunately, from the beginning to very end, you did not have any major effect to the consequences. You are just able to change minor

Yes, you are making choices and it has effects to your game-play and scenes. But unfortunately, from the beginning to very end, you did not have any major effect to the consequences. You are just able to change minor details about the flow. At the end of the day, game pushes you to the road it actually designed. I know that all Telltale games have this passive gameplay gap but in this series, game openly cheats within itself to push you to the requested flow of events without any respect to your choices.
This game is good enough to watch but unfortunately not good enough to play. So it is totally your choice to play it or not.

The last episode is one of the best of the season. It really sheds light on what could happen for a second season if telltale decides to make another season.

Episodic games are always tricky to evaluate, since so much of their impact comes from the very end. Therefore, when the decisions made have limited impact on the ending, it's disappointing, but at the same time, I still feel like the journey is more important than the destination with these games. However, there are some pretty big issues with the journey here. One of the big sellingEpisodic games are always tricky to evaluate, since so much of their impact comes from the very end. Therefore, when the decisions made have limited impact on the ending, it's disappointing, but at the same time, I still feel like the journey is more important than the destination with these games. However, there are some pretty big issues with the journey here. One of the big selling points of earlier games was that the three major paths (Mira in King's Landing, Gared in the North Grove, and Rodrick/Asher defending their house) would all impact each other. And, well, they don't. At all. Your decisions with both Gared and Mira have absolutely no impact on the main story, and not a lot on their own stories either.
The game is still visually impressive for a Telltale game, especially when you see the beautiful North Grove. Unfortunately, this is hindered by an often choppy framerate and texture glitches. During fast sequences, it's hard to keep track of what's happening because frames are skipped, and at one point my player character lost all facial features, becoming a terrifying mess.
It's weird how much of an emphasis the late game puts on the decisions you've made throughout the game, given how little impact they have, but I'll at least give the game credit for keeping with the Game of Thrones style and telling the tale in an interesting way.

Overall, the game isn't outright bad, but as both a Telltale fan and a Game of Thrones fan, it's disappointing. I was left unsatisfied at the end, and despite there being many enjoyable moments throughout the 6 episodes, I don't feel like I'm taking much away with it, like I did with other episodic games like Life is Strange or Telltale's The Walking Dead.

This first season doesn't skimp on shocks. [Jan 2016, p.93]

The Ice Dragon delivers a very engaging ultimate episode packed with tense and dramatic moments, where our choices have a significant impact on the way events unfold. Overall, it’s unquestionably a fitting ending to another successful episodic series from Telltale.

A disappointing end to a series with promise, Game of Thrones needs likable characters to engage emotion.
