If you like your fan service games to be about panties and collecting girls, then this is the one you want.

I was a little disappointed in Gal Gun Double Peace on PS4. Besides the story, it is identical in every way to the original Gal Gun game. But for Gal Gun 2, we get different mechanics and updated graphics. Gal Gun 2 no longer feels like playing an upscaled vita game.

Like in the previous games, you move through the story while being attacked by nearly every girl in the school via their confessions of love for you. You shoot them with your angel-provided cupid-like powers, which basically makes them orgasm and pass out. Or new for this game: you could also suck their clothes off with your angel vacuum gun (when sufficiently upgraded). You'll also be using your vacuum gun to suck up cute little demons, which make girls much stronger if they're attached to them.

Missions include going place to place while shooting all girls along the way, protecting girls from little demons teleporting in, searching areas for items, shooting various parts of a girl to extract demons (and clothes) from her, and boss fights. There's also special story-related stages that are a little different.

The movement stages are different this time around. You're stuck in one spot and can't move to the next spot until all girls have been taken out. The boss fights are more simplistic this time around: each one is basically the same fight with minor differences. Also, the special story stages are much less involved. So overall, the gameplay is less interesting and easier, but it isn't bad.

The story is silly, but good, and works like a dating game. There's three main girls and a couple of endings for each. Also, none of the endings rely on your conversation options, which could be good or bad depending on what you like.

The panty variety is great. You get bikini cuts and full cuts. And within those, you get plain and two types of lace (which are unfortunately just flat textures. Most girls change their panties every day, so you'll get a different pattern or color on the next day. There's also a good variety of socks, pantyhose, and thigh-highs. There's not much for breast lovers since they're almost always covered. It's too bad, since the girls wear matching bras.

Costume variety is okay, but could have been much better. I supposed they've saved the good costumes for DLC.

I'm happy to report that the number of polygons in the girls' rears have been increased since the last game. They're also nicely shaped, being not too small or flat. Some variety in rear-end sizes would have been great, but I'm happy with what we got.

Collecting girls involves getting their phone numbers, which you get from completing side missions. Call them any time to talk to them or look at them. Conversation is limited, but they do say interesting things if you stare at certain body parts for too long. There's not much interaction you can do with them. After giving them enough candy (obtained via mission rewards), you can look at them from all angles, make them do one of about 10 pre-set poses, or suck their clothes off, which always results in them becoming angry with you.

I wish there was more, but at least this game was released before Sony went on its censorship rampage. What we got here likely wouldn't be allowed on Sony platforms these days.

I don't like the game's repetitiveness, which becomes apparent after one full playthrough. If you want to get all of the girls' phone numbers or get all of the endings, you'll be doing a lot of replaying of the same missions. There's not enough variety in missions to keep them interesting for 3+ plays. Also, there aren't separate save slots, so you can't return to a previous save after getting an ending: you must start from the beginning each time.

So yeah, great game. And even if you don't like staring at panties, the premise alone should be enough to keep you entertained for a while.

What started as a somewhat pleasant experience at the start, quickly dissipated as the game continued to objectify and demean it's female characters while aggrandising and glorifying it's one main male character who happens to be the "protagonist".

First thing's first, it's quite obvious from game trailers what the game aims to be and what purpose it serves. However, I will say the game

First thing's first, it's quite obvious from game trailers what the game aims to be and what purpose it serves. However, I will say the game is moderately relaxing as there is very little stakes at hand: no score ranking and fairly simple/basic "combat". This opinion only lasts for about an hour or so as you discover it's the same 3 main missions types (suck up all the demons, search for an item or a defence mission) that you constantly endure with the odd sprinkled "boss battles" and the cringey *shudders* doki-doki missions before the monotony and tedium set in.

I would not recommend this game at all to anyone. Women are constantly objectified and are continually intruded upon by the player by crawling through vents, entering the changing rooms and bathrooms all while swooning and overtly overjoyed as you "liberate" them from the affliction of demons that reside within.

Gal Gun 2 is a special game, in the way that it’s all about half-naked girls moaning every single time they appear on screen. But curiously, it’s kind of fun and there are some good ideas in it.

With a few decent plot twists and likeable characters, Gal*Gun 2 is a satisfying relationship comedy with a solid rail shooter at its core. With multiple endings and dozens of girls to meet there’s a robust amount of content, never falling for the trap of offering just a handful of missions with no reason to come back after a couple of hours. As games about supernatural romance go, it will be difficult to find one cuter or sweeter than this one.

Gal*Gun 2 is a sequel that improves the gameplay of the first title but that is not enough to make it a worthwhile follow up.
