Considering the low price and the fact that this is a solo effort, #Funtime is a surprisingly polished and gameplay-packed experience. We've got minor niggles when we compare it to the best games of the genre but this is still a very good twin-stick shooter that is easy to recommend.

Judging from the trailers and gameplay, it's pretty much what you'd expect it to be. I like Assault Android Cactus, Nex Machina, Resogun, Geometry Wars 3 and this game. So if you like any of those, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

I won't get into specifics (game modes, game mechanics, etc...) of the game (I'll let you discover stuff and experience it all yourself).

The soundtrack is amazing and I love it. A different song starts up each time you start a new level or re-start a level. Which is nice. The only problem is that it feels like there's only 3 or 4 different sound tracks. I haven't looked into it, and there probably are more than 3 or 4 songs that play.... but it doesn't feel like it. The songs do get repetitive, but they are really catchy and fun to play this game to.

The gameplay is very polished. I haven't experienced any lag while playing. The controls are tight and they're what you'd expect them to be in a game like this. Very responsive.

Ok, onto the three major issues with the game (2 of which are game breaking):

    1. This game has already quit out to the main menu on me several times.... which is very frustrating, since the challenge levels can take upwards of 20-30minutes each.

    2. A certain game mode has you facing waves of enemies. You kill a bunch of enemies, then a new wave spawns. On many occasions the game glitches and there are no enemies on the screen (at the end of a wave) and no new waves begins. This has happened to me A LOT. I found a work around for it though: You get 3 bombs per wave. You're forced to have to save 1 bomb for the end of the wave in case the glitch happens (leaving you with only 2 bombs to actually use per wave). Setting off a bomb when the glitch happens will kill the last remaining "invisible" enemy. A bomb is what you use to kill all enemies on the screen.

    3. This isn't game breaking like the first two, but the music will all of a sudden make a very loud scratching/skipping/record scratch sound. This happens quite often. It ruins the flow and enjoyment of the game a bit for me. But it's not a big deal for me.

I would probably give this game a 9/10 easily, if it weren't for those game breaking glitches. My recommendation is the wait until the game gets some patches/updates.
