    The rich environments, fantastic customization options, and decision-focused strategic approach make it a great game to pop into for a bit by yourself or to enjoy with friends, be it on the couch or over the internet.

    On top of the fun gameplay, the art direction is a great stylized approach to incorporating the Voodoo influence and Alistar Lindsay’s soundtrack fits the style perfectly.

    At times Full Mojo Rampage gets its wires a little crossed, and some of the roguelike elements can feel a little forced when they’re not really necessary, but it’s still a fun little blaster with a wonderful atmosphere and stacks of personality. It might be trying to elbow its way into a very crowded genre, but it has just enough pluck to earn its place.

    Still, putting aside the few minor technical issues, the voodoo theme and the wealth of content on offer manages to be the game’s real strong suit. There is plenty of fun to be had with Full Mojo Rampage – even moreso with friends!

    Full Mojo Rampage is challenging, but entertaining. It might have some stiff competition in the form of similar games like Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, and Crypt of the Necrodancer, but its voodoo theme, four-player co-op, and twin stick chops help give it its own identity. Ultimately, it's a fun game that might occasionally be frustrating, but it looks good, sounds great, and plays well.

    Full Mojo Rampage may put some players off if they don’t enjoy rogue-like games or twin-stick shooters but this manages to feel addictive and worth the challenge.

    Full Mojo Rampage isn’t exactly a genuine look at the mythology and aesthetic of voodoo, but the name drop of Baron Samedi and the other Loa lords is a nice touch. Still, it’s hard to imagine you’ll get much from this. Not when there are so many other great roguelikes out there.

    Full Mojo Rampage is simply an average game that could have been a lot better. There are a few good ideas here, but they aren’t fully realised, leading to a game that becomes tedious after a few runs of its quests.

    I can't believe this game got a 67 critic score at the present moment. This game has a lot to offer. I gave it a 9, but in all honesty its a strong 8.5 (I rounded up). It's a lot of fun to play with friends and it passes by the time very quickly. Many of my friends compare this to diablo 3 and fat princess adventures. To me, I can see similarities in both these referenced games, as well as a bit of dead nation -esque gameplay.

    What to expect, the online community is dead. Sadly, you will have to gather friends from communities and forums to play this with others. However, it has plenty of co-op and PvP modes, and you can play this game solo or split screen in couch co-op. There are four main quests in the story line. Yes, the game is indeed short, but there are six difficulties and you unlock a new difficulty by beating the game over and over again. Redundant and repetitive, then? No, actually, this game has randomized quest stages and dungeons, so there won't be any two quests that are exactly alike. Besides the story quests, there is also the daily quest, an endless run, night of the living dead (survival gauntlet single player only), and survival endless. On the PvP side, there are four modes: king of mojo (king of the hill), CTF (capture the flag), team death match, and death match. PvP has up to eight players, and co-op has up to four. I believe split screen is two players for couch co-op, I'm unsure if you can do three or four on split screen.

    There are a total of 112 items in the game, 8 different Loa that you swear allegiance to, and somewhere around 24 give or take pins that you can equip to buff your character up. You can further increase the effectiveness of these pins by investing gold into them. There's also a lot of stylish masks to wear. Some are even gags from other videogames! There's a bunch of masks to choose from. Also, you can get cool codes from certain items. After inputting their specific codes into the codes option on the main menu you can obtain new masks.

    There's a ton of content and the challenging difficulties make hardcore gamers keep coming back for more, making this game have pretty damn high replay-ability. I think it is laughable that some people find crap games like enter the gungeon better than this game. What a joke! This game has a lot to offer. I have really enjoyed my time spent with this game and I will keep it downloaded to my PS4 for a long while to come. It's fun to play alone, with family, and with friends. I would say it's good for ages 10 and up to play. It does have slight alcohol and tobacco references.

    Bottom line is, if you enjoy twin stick shooters, or you like rogue-like RPGs, or you just want to play a really fun indie that won't break the bank: you deserve it to yourself to go out and grab full mojo rampage. It's honestly in my personal opinion better than Binding of Isaac. This game is definitely in my top five for best indies on the PlayStation 4.    … Full Review »

After playing for some hours this game exceeded all my expectations, I was very impressed by the quality of it.

    Full Mojo Rampage is a Roguelike Twin Stick Shooter RPG, with Voodoo thematic, done in a cute and funny way. You play as a Voodoo apprentice serving 8 “Voodoo Gods” who are called “Parent Loas”. Theses Gods represents the classes of the game, so upon starting playing you can choose between them and each one has a unique playstyle and different Spells. You start with only 1 God and you can unlock the others by buying them with Medals (One of the currencies of the game) in any order you want.

    The levels and maps of the game are randomly generated, with lots of unique themes, like Cemetery, Abandoned Houses, Swamp, Jungle, Lava and many others. The maps are huge and very fun to explore, you can find coins and loot on enemies, chests or hidden behind some things. These items can vary from Consumables to Runes with new powers, unique Wands and Relics called “Mojos” that are special equipment that can boost you stats or do something unique.

    As you keep playing the game you earn experience to level up, each time you level up you can raise one of your main attributes (Health, Damage, Movement Speed and Attack Rate).
    The Coins you collect during your playthroughs can be used to buy items on stores or upgrade your Pins. These Pins are Passive attributes that you can select before playing. You can create interesting and unique “builds” combining your Main Attributes, Pins, Gods and equipment.

    The gameplay is very refined. The combat and movement are fun and the AI of the enemies is very well done. There’s also lots of different enemies and Bosses. The Soundtrack and Sound Effects are good and really sets the mood of the game.

    The Roguelike element of the game is basically this: When you die you lose your progress on the Chapter and your equipment, but don’t panic! You can keep your coins, medals, Pins you unlocked and your Level. The equipment and the rest of the items act more like a “temporary” thing, so don’t worry, you can find more equipment next time.

    All of these things I said combined make this game very replayable, because every playthrough is different, every map is random and you never know what you will find. Also, there are lots of different game modes. You got 4 Story chapters with different difficulty levels that change the game with new mechanics. You also got Survival Mode, Daily Quest, Endless Mode and lots of online PVP modes that I couldn’t test yet because there’s no one playing online. You can also play all the game modes Coop online with up to 4 players, except Survival Mode. The Coop can provide some nice funny moments with your friends and works perfectly.

    Full Mojo Rampage is outstanding. The experience of playing this game has reminded me that you can have a great time playing a game no matter if It’s a Triple A or an Indie Game. What really matters is the quality of the product and the good things that it can bring to people. It’s a mystery why this game is so unknown to everyone and underrated or ignored by gaming websites.
