    Awesome free game , best fishing game on ps4 . menus take a minute to get used to but quickly adjusted to them , paid content is optionable you can easily reach the highest levels without , graphics are clean as is gameplay if you like fishing youll love this game tons of gear to choose from

    Thiis game is for the hardcore fishing fan. so you want arcadey crap try any fishing game in the last 20 years. this is for the serious fishing fanatics!

    Fishing Planet has to be one of the best examples of Free To Play that I have seen in awhile.
    The paid elements of this game are by no means essential to have fun or to even reach the highest areas of the game.
    If you truly love fishing and the wonderful aspects that come with it, I believe you will indeed enjoy what this game has to offer. I have already brought several people to this    Fishing Planet has to be one of the best examples of Free To Play that I have seen in awhile.
    The paid elements of this game are by no means essential to have fun or to even reach the highest areas of the game.
    If you truly love fishing and the wonderful aspects that come with it, I believe you will indeed enjoy what this game has to offer. I have already brought several people to this game and plan on bringing several more, as it has a rich experience that really anyone can enjoy with a group of friends.

    This game is truly the go to for fishing enthusiasts and also does a great job of introducing newbies to fishing. I really recommend this game for anyone who has the patience to take it on!    … Expand

    Fishing Planet is a free to play online fishing game where you can buy all of your fishing equipment, fishing license and then go out to the pond and catch some fish
    but the fishing here is in no way exciting or challenging whatsoever, and therefore not fun
    weather and specific spots at a pong or lake will determine the kind of fish you catch and you can alter the line length and even get caught on items and have to cut your line…
    but this is more of a fishing supply management simulator than it is actually fishing..
    All you do is cast out, wait for a bite and reel in...
    That’s it that is the game...
    there is no struggles…
    you’re honestly better off just buying final fantasy 15 for its fishing if nothing else
    then again this is free..
    I had the most fun being annoyingly romantic with other fishers
    getting my rod all up in their face while they’re just trying to level up to unlock new areas to fish it…
    watching them dance around trying to lose me made me laugh..
    So there is at least that…
    This game is just boring, everything about it is a snooze fest

    I'm a big fan of simulators and bought almost all the simulators on the PS4. So I could not ignore this game. I was pleasantly surprised by the simulation work of this game. And although it has bugs and minor flaws. But I believe that the developers will fix these troubles and the game will please me for a long time. Therefore, all fans of simulators and fishing should    Fishing Planet

    Tried playing the game on PS4. Got to the tutorial and the game glitched so no fish would bite...which was what that section of the tutorial was trying to teach. So I restarted....had to recreate my character (which is no big deal since the game only provides you with 12-16 different options for customization), this time the tutorial went on without hitch. It was when I needed to changed gameplay settings that I quit and deleted. Nothing I did would allow me to enter the settings to change from imperial measurements, change music volume ect ect. Not X, not O, not Triangle....nada. Pure waste of precious minutes of my life.… Expand

    I tried this out in May of 2021, well after it came out by several years, in my book that's PLENTY of time for them to iron out any bugs and polish up all the annoyances...

    Sadly they seem to have done absolutely nothing in that amount of time except release more cashgrab DLC. Graphically the game suffers from screen tearing if you turn too fast, repetitive textures on plants, and    I tried this out in May of 2021, well after it came out by several years, in my book that's PLENTY of time for them to iron out any bugs and polish up all the annoyances...

    Sadly they seem to have done absolutely nothing in that amount of time except release more cashgrab DLC.

    Graphically the game suffers from screen tearing if you turn too fast, repetitive textures on plants, and overall just looks like someone bought all the assets from the cheap premade section of the game dev resources store.

    Controls are limited and clunky, your movespeed is a snail's crawl unless you sprint, casting your line isn't explained in the tutorial and you have to figure out how to do more than dangle the line into the water yourself, and the ingame menus are absolutely atrocious: using both the L and R sticks as well as the D pad for completely different sections of menus that are absurdly un-optimized for console.

    Sound wise the game's design is virtually non-existent, I had to check if my TV was muted more than once out of concern that I couldn't hear any splashing or really anything. Even after turning the game's internal volume settings to maximum the game still sounded too quiet, and there wasn't much to listen to anyway.

    There are plenty of pesky bugs in this game, as well. I experienced frequent hang-ups that made me think the game had frozen, both in menus and during fishing, which is pretty absurd when almost nothing is happening on screen, there's no real excuse for this either since they've apparently known about these problems for years.

    Catching fish in "Fishing Planet" is a boring repetitive chore, and many games where fishing is NOT EVEN THE MAIN FOCUS do it leaps and bounds better. you'd be FAR better off playing that Final Fantasy fishing mini-game or the VR game than this.    … Expand

    This is the best angling simulator for now. Fishing extremely detailed. Tackle, fish species and how do you need to catch them. Nature is beautiful and realistic. Water is the best of any fishing game. You need to be an experienced angler to achieve the trophies, but they're so in real life. If you are fishing, this game highly recommended!

    Отличный симулятор рыбалки, затянул не на один месяц, потом как-то надоело, но в целом для фанатов. 7/10 и огромный плюс - она бесплатная!

    Fishing Planet is a solid fishing simulator with plenty of depth and variety to its gameplay and mechanics that still make me want to come back for more. But the horrendous menu and UI on console, lackluster presentation, and occasional bugs and hiccups bog down the experience.
