Moreover, it is extremely difficult to know what kind of motion your character is doing due to the game design that you can not see the battle situation unless you pull the camera so that the character is not visible in battle.
Also, even though this game is complete, the equipment gained through its efforts will be easily available in a few months. The latest end content is good to play with the intention of competition, but if you do not intend to do so, it may be a waste of time. However, I do not think that it will be recognized as e-sports even if I play for the game.

The places where the cityscape, fields and dungeons are easy to see are made in such a way as to make the graphic look beautiful, but if you look closely you will often find that you use rough textures.

The story might just be out of my favor. War is the subject. In the case of war, it is natural to think that the fellow may die, and I think that it is a natural judgment to try to protect the fellow. However, this game does not seem to think that way. Although I defeated an enemy commander who has a lot of war situations and information, I can escape without getting prisoners and killings without hearing information, and there are many alternatives, but I am in vain There are too many actions based on unreasonable judgments or actions that only seem to be the choice of strategy.
In addition, it is unnaturally felt and can not be helped because it is a way of speaking that would not normally be the same amount of text as if the text was read out as it was while the voice was attached to the character. Even in battle, he speaks long lines in unnatural tone to the leader, so he feels even worse.

The character's motion is also quite beautiful in the trailer, but in the game it's only rough. The motion in the story's event scene feels really bad.

In addition, this game is a Final Fantasy series, or often cites settings, stories, etc. from previous works of the Final Fantasy series. There are many other things I've seen in movies and other games that have been incorporated into the story and settings, but because of these citations and inclusions, I have made it as Final Fantasy XIV. I can not feel the originality. It feels like I should invest time in more originality games.

The point I thought was good was that I enjoyed the fun of just starting a new game.

I can not recommend this game to others.

While ultimately it is a new story featuring new and different lands, enemies, and characters from what we have known, the developers have gone above and beyond to make everything feel fresh, with smart reworks of every job, a complete overhaul of the existing pvp. and fun, *varied* dungeons. The story takes place directly after the events of "Heavensward's" finale patch "The Far Edge of Fate," and hits the ground running. I don't recall a recent game in which they explored so many aspects of war, be it the enslaved, the endangered, or the bystanders, this story is dark to say the least. It brings new cultures and ideals to the already lore heavy game without any need for a retcon. All in all this is the perfect representation of the best of 14, it is truly something special, and an adventure you won't want to miss. Expand

The pacing is tighter and more streamlined than Heavensward, almost no filler or unnecessary detour in the main quest. Although I prefer the setting and setup of Heavensward, Stormblood has various twists and unforgettable moments, I'm excited to see where the story will unfolds in 4.x patches.

    - Gameplay:
The two new Jobs (Samurai and Red Mage) are AWESOME. Tried both of them a lot in Palace of the Dead and they play very fluidly with interesting mechanics. Red Mage in particular seems very enjoyable to play, they got the jack of all trades role right. While Samurai is pure DPS monster with zero utility to the party, skill wise it is a bit harder than other melee DPS since you have to keep track a lot of things. The battle system changes they introduced is also mostly a success and make old jobs more streamlined (a bit dumbed down, but understandable, WoW had worse skill pruning).

    - Music:
No comment needed here. Still reign supreme as the best MMO music.

    - Endgame:
Can't give full impression on the endgame since raid is not out yet (2 weeks from now). The only endgame content currently is 2 Extreme Primal which I haven't tried yet.

The increase in fidelity is apparent with the PS3 console support dropped for 4.0. Major issue with logging in to combat instances to progress the main quest storyline has been resolved. Overall I chalk Stormblood up as another victory for Yoshi-P! Expand

The new story quests and side quests are engaging, although pretty much the standard fare as far as quests go, they do add to the story and lore while introducing you to the new areas and their monsters. I must admit that many times in games I am one of those who skip a lot of dialog and cut scenes so I can get right to the action, but in Stormblood I am actually compelled to follow the story tying everything together. So far this expansion seems massively bigger than Heavenward. Every time I turnaround I open up a new area. Lots of exploration. Lots of new creatures and races. And if you're like me and are a fan of the Final Fantasy universe, you'll see a lot of nods to monsters and creatures from past games in the series. We definitely got one of the best expansions I've seen on an MMO. And we got major bang for the buck. Expand

    Summary:
For me, my favorite MMORPG just got way better. I still love it's visual style, the new classes are amazing, as are most of the new areas. The story is a blast to play through and leaves pretty much all other MMORPG's in a big shadow. Best thing to me are the class revisions. Everything plays smoother and needs less focus on some debuff or cooldown management, you can concentrate on having fun more. Love it :)
With this, all the new content is a blast - not only visually, but gameplay-wise as well. I can really recommend this game!

    -----------------------------------------

    More in depth:

    Tech / Visuals:
First of all, the game looks nice but not like the typical new triple A title. It is a rather dated MMO that still got a style that is rather pleasant to look at. With the discontinuation of support for PS3, we got faster travel, faster load of characters and a solid support for the PS4 Pro, where I personally enjoy the higher performance mode most.
Visually, they created some incredibly beautiful dungeons with various themes and a lot of active dynamic animations and stuff going on.
When it comes to the new zones, its a mix between incredibly beautiful and at parts a little bland. Possibly due to the chosen environment. A lot of the expansion plays out in a desert-like area, so don't expect much variety everywhere you go. So the contrast between some incredible Asian themed and underwater content to the latest areas is kinda stark.
The characters are as beautiful as ever, with the new classes having amazingly animated skills with some truly spectacular effect work.

    Story:
I won't be spoiling here, so keeping it simple. The original story of FFXIV was ok'ish. Heavensward did improve upon it. Stormblood though really made it some awesome Final Fantasy experience. In my opinion, simply the best story for any MMO I know of out right now.
Only downside: Though a lot of Job quests and even a few sidequests got nice storys as well. A lot of not so complex side quest simply are your generic fetch this or move there stuff. But guess that's to be expected when considering the amount of content. Nevertheless, I would love to simply skip stuff like this or make those quests better, so I comment on this not so good part as well.

Amount of content / difficulty / accessibility
Well, the amount of content is decent. Especially for people that enjoy playing multiple classes and playing with their friends will surely spend a lot of hours in Eorzea. If you only want to focus on one class though and power through everything, the game will soon no longer have anything to offer for you. Reason being simple: This is no grindgame where you just keep on grinding levels for hours and hours. At some point you got max level and max gear, simple as that.
Difficulty wise, the content is balanced very well right now. It is more accessible then ever, with mechanics being fair and easy to understand while still punishing enough to wipe the careless and unprepared. Maybe the game overall got easier. It is hard to say, because a lot of players are very experienced. But the big change with Stormblood seems the highest level of accessibility for all kinds of content yet.

    PvP:
The changes were drastic and now I enjoy it. I mean I never enjoyed PvP before in this game. But now, with everyone being equal and PvP feeling fair, its a blast. Specially since they steamlined PvP skills and made some incredible adjustments to the bars. Now it is easy to handle your skills and focus on the actual combat. Makes for some really enjoyable 72-man battles!

Although it is in itself a great expansion,it fails to understand itself. The highlight of the expansion was its middle eastern theme, if it was just souly based on this i believe the expansion would have easily surpassed heavensward. But unfortunately as it rotates between its beautiful eastern landscapes and its depressing maps, it does give the emotion that there is a real struggle in the world which is its intention, but makes the player have mixed feelings from their experience. it will go from beautiful and amazing, gorgeous scenery with a compelling story and then take you to a depressing yet barren place making you wonder how much you would have preferred just having the expansion souly focused on the middle eastern theme as that is where its main appeal is.

7/10 just because of its middle eastern theme, if the game was just focused on the middle eastern theme entirely i believe the score could have reached a 9 quite easily,as of what it is as a whole it is just simply,a little above average.

To this point, I'm not sure if Stormblood has better story or flow than Heavensward, but I can surely say that it maintains that height that was set by the last game, so I think is just a matter or preferences.

The main story of this expansion is about revolutions and geopolitical stuff, if you're like me and like that kind of thing then this is going to be a big hit, but, that's not to say that it's a bad story, it's a great one but certainly is a different beast than Heavensward, this time you focus on other characters (new and old) and it still delivers in character development, the main antagonist while maybe a little one-note it does its job and does it amazing, I'm not sure if its the acting (voiced by the incredible Kosuke Toriumi) or the writing but I was so invested in him.

By this point you know how is this, you go to one map, uncover it by quests, beat some dungeons and bosses and repeat, is more or less the same, de difference is that the boss and dungeon mechanics were tightened, making to really interesting and challenging battles.

As far as music goes XIV always has had a very good selection, but I think this time the composers took it to the next level, there are some tunes that I will listen for the years to come, I'm sure.

While is debatable if its better than its predecessor, Stormblood maintains that incredibly high bar set by Heavensward, so I think you'll not disappointed, as, for me, I will always remember that final moment when you finally finish the last boss battle, it was a truly beautiful and powerful moment.

While my time with Stormblood started off slow, once I got into Doma and met the characters there, things really took hold for me. What initially seemed like a dull liberation story quickly grew into a full-on, worldwide revolution with characters worth caring about. While the party interactions never match up to what was offered in Heavensward, the world building, villain motivations, and general sense of purpose for the heroes quickly took center stage and never let up. The build-up was worth the trip, especially the final boss, and all of it left me excited to see what's next.
