    What can I say? Pretty neat.
    Player housing and the story are both great and the reason why I play this game. Both have room for improvement of course, but like others already said, you won't find another mmo with such high quality out there.

    Player housing needs way more placeable items, it should be possible to place items on all other objecs, being forced to stay sub in order to kepp a house is not fun and it should be easier for all players to get a house, not just a handful. Apartments are nice and all, but compared to a house? Not so much.
    In regards to the story, again, I agree with other people when it comes to a certain prince. Why tease such a promising story arc for him with dozens of unanswered questions and then just end it? Major disappointment right here, in case he really doesn't show up again in the next expansion or at least give us hints, that he survived and will return someday. The way it stands now? Just disappointing.

    Though Endwalker and the devs deserve a solid 9, anyway for the joy this game gave me.    … Expand

    Amazing game!
    I love the story.
    Was really sad because of the end of Emet and Elidibus and really hope they'll return. Was very disappointed because of Zenos' end. Like... why bring him back, tease a very promising arc and an interesting development and then write him out of the story again? Really hoping we didn't see him the last time. Please bring him back and continue his story.    Amazing game!

    This is honestly the very best MMO on the market. The story is not just amazing for an MMO... and not just the best story of any Final Fantasy (in my opinion at least).... Not just one of the best stories in all of gaming, no.... of ANY medium!
    The community is sooooooo friendly and welcoming! This game respects your time, you barely miss out on anything when you take a break. It's so    This is honestly the very best MMO on the market.     worth it and glad to play this game again. so much memories and nostalgia within this fourteenth game in the series. this expansion is breathtaking!

    Overall an excellent climax to a 10 year story. Not as consistent or good as shadowbringers in story, pacing or areas but definitely the second best expansion in 14.

    Best MMO of my life, Endwalker is the true conclusion of this entire Hydealyn saga. A MMO never had a good story, but this one, oh boi, this one is a true final fantasy game!

    Pros:
    - Excellent story and characters (tearful, fearsome moments)
    - Ever evolving gameplay
    - On point music
    - Massive content
    - A lot of philosophy to chew on

    Cons:
    - Sometimes the story takes detours that may feel like padding, they aren't but they can be a little tiresome

    Okay so before I start I am specifically reviewing Endwalker, not final fantasy 14 as a whole which would be a 9/10 for me. I’d give ARR 7, Heavensward 10, Stormblood 6 and Shadowbringers 9.5...

    So is this the worst expansion? I think it may be, and I have now quit FF14 after almost 3 years. Why am I scoring it low? Mainly the story. We were promised an ending to the arc so far, which in a way we got however this feels far more like a transitional/filler expansion than a satisfying ending. In many ways the story actually makes Shadowbringers worse by undoing some of that games biggest moments.

    I also felt it was too childish. In Heavensward we fought dragons and in Endwalker we go to the moon and fight silly creatures, none of which really matter because everything was created by Ascians who are no longer the Ascians we once knew but pretty, sympathetic boys who look like they belong in kingdom hearts. We get a glowy space dog, a pop song plays for the generic out of nowhere final boss.. it has Disney elements of story and presentation. This does make it perhaps the most ‘box office’ but I preferred the grittier feeling of previous expansions and Endwalker is no longer the game I fell in love with. There’s also barely anything to do at Max level. I might come back to a later patch but right now I’m all FF14’d out and going to enjoy other games instead.

    I do recommend FF14 if you are a new player entirely, there’s so much to do. But Endwalker, didn’t enjoy it. Finish 5.3 Shadowbringers and everything afterwards just feels like optional fan fiction.    … Expand

    Final fantasy xiv brings out a monstrous banger of an expansion, seriously endwalker is so **** good. Like it sits at the top of Metacritic for a reason, try the game and enjoy the story!

    Atm addon is unplayable. The best queue simulator. With monthly sub!!! Well done, Square Enix! The addon is simply unplayable due to the 3-8 hour queues (sorry, but I only have 1 hour to play in the evening). Best way to waste money... 3 weeks from start and addon still unplayable. And all compensation we got - 7 free days of sub.

    If somebody tell me, that MMO have strong story with powerful ending, i'd never believed. But FFXIV with Endwalker expansion showed to me, that its possible. Also FFXIV has comfy battle system, perfect craft mechanics and gathering activities. Here you can do many non-battle activities and fulfil your enjoy.     An amazing experience, one which rivals or may even exceed the previous expansion, Shadowbringers. Despite some issues with server capacity, SE has been very good at keeping negativity in the community down, with a combination of solid explanations of the problem and solutions being attempted, and extra game time to make up for the lost time, to the tune of 21 days free so far.

    I have never been so satisfied with a conclusion to a story as I have been with FFXIV: ENDWALKER. The new expansion follows the same formula as the previous ones, adding in various zones, dungeons and trials, as well as 2 new classes.

    Endwalker is one of those games/ expansions where I am genuinely suprised by how well everything is made.
    The narrative somehow manages to tie 11 years or storytelling into a whole package that manages to engage and surprise at almost every point. I expected a well written story but not one that manages to avoid the typical video game problem of having a fun story that lacks depth or a deeper meaning.
    The MSQ aside, Endwalker introduces a lot of changes to presentation and quality of life. And with minor exceptions like the newly introduced trailing missions, they all improve what was already a great experience. In the end, Endwalker is all that I hoped it could be and more. And the fantastic soundtrack not only offers one great song after the other but also perfectly accompanies every moment and carries all the emotion and atmosphere that are needed at that moment. I don't know how Soken manages to outdo himself with every expansion but he somehow does it every time.    … Expand

While it isn't without fault; and its' foundations may even be a little too shaky or rocky given it's newest antagonist, the introduction of Dynamis (lampshaded or not aplenty without a proper name until now), and a few questions or new questions on prior elements like Time Travel; it performsIn a incredible tour de force; Endwalker manages to proceed to a rather satisfactory ending. While it isn't without fault; and its' foundations may even be a little too shaky or rocky given it's newest antagonist, the introduction of Dynamis (lampshaded or not aplenty without a proper name until now), and a few questions or new questions on prior elements like Time Travel; it performs incredibly well.

    I will say that Mare Lamentorum's second-half, and Labyrinthos had weak points within them (primarily the Loporrits), and Garlemald took a smidge to set-up, but otherwise the plot proceeded with characteristic aplomb. Though a touch heavy-handed, the expansion begins immediately to build upon the core theme that will run through it's course.

    Is life meaningful?

    In this regard; I found there to be pay off for years of playtime, acknowledgement of investiture, and a fitting conclusion to all that came prior.

    Alphinaud and Alisaie obtain their own subplot and grow just a little bit more. Urianger too has a strong plot.

    G'raha Tia and Estinien both have great moments as well with their own flavorful charms.

    Thancred's arc resolved in Shadowbringers, but the threat ahead does eventually reach home with him.

    And even Y'shtola, who is by far one of the least-developed of the Scions, claims some moments to her pile of treasures.

    Krile astoundingly has a stake in the plot once more, and Tataru shines in an unforeseen way.

    Zenos will be polarizing, but I believe we've seen at the very least; a taste of what his writing led toward. Simple, but fun.

    And of the questions of Hydaelyn and Zodiark; well...

    If you believe that the story has a clear-cut ending in which you embark to slay a God of Darkness, and then put down a tyrannical Goddess of Light...

    You would be mistaken. It's an easy assumption and many would presume to be the natural path.

    Endwalker endeavors to go beyond the anticipated and expected to provide something more succinct and more fulfilling.

    Every encounter is akin to a Final Boss; and the stakes have never been higher. A hackneyed saying, true, but I believe FFXIV has reached an apex.

    From here on, the threats will need to, on some level, deescalate. Even the hinted at 'Void Expansion', that looms in the distance; while grand in scope, shouldn't surpass the grandiose endeavor we've just wrought forth.

    That said; the feeling of an ending does not eclipse the future. A rather hamfisted bit of dialogue, albeit touching, does ensure that the future of FFXIV is without a doubt, endless and boundless. That between the remaining worlds, and the untold tales within the Source, we've only scratched the surface. Let alone things like meddling in history's flow, or alternate timelines.

    And so to that end; I am excited in a new way.

    The ending was tremendous, and in a few fashions, I feel it was shackled. Shackles it wore without shame, but bound by what it built.

    Now the game is free to tell a new story, a new plot, a new overarching grand tale that can head in any avenue it so wishes.

    That said; the game's age will undoubtedly arise. And at this, the most delicate of junctures, a transition will transpire.

    14 may be in it's golden age, and time will tell if this expansion will usher in the next with applause and more players than before, or if we begin to see the the end of this MMO's grand sprawling journey.

    But what can be said, in the here and now...

    The ride took many risks. And I believe for the majority, it will pay off.

    For the road we've walked to get this far, was nothing but delightful. Worth it. And fulfilling nearly every step.    … Expand

Sure the queues to get into the game have been annoying but it was worth it. One of the best FF games I've ever played and what a game it is!!!… Expand

    I have played many MMOs throughout my life. American, European, Japanese, Korean, and none of them ever offered what this game offers: Storytelling that is perhaps one of the best (especially with the budget and engine limitations) if not the best in the past decade, coupled with an array of songs that flesh out what can only be described as a perfect conclusion to a 10 year saga. Add to it the fact that the gameplay, from the dungeons to the trials to the ballads (as of 6.0) were on par with some of the best the game has to offer, and you have a perfect game here. Every fan of Final Fantasy must play this game, every fan of good stories as well, and any fan of videogames must play it too.

    As a sidenote, I started playing halfway through Stormblood, so I am in no way shape or form a fanboy nor a veteran. All I am is someone with very high standards, and after mocking the game for being a cashgrab and an insult to the franchise, I was hooked as soon as I played it, I was mindblown by Shadowbringers and after constantly saying "this will never be topped", I admit that Endwalker did the impossible and made the game peak once again.
    This is a game I will play for many more years, and it deserves my time and effort, because the development team showed time and time again that they truly care for the fanbase and the content is never disappointing.    … Expand

    This game is just amazing. One of the best experiences of my live.

    If you like RPG, even if you dont loke MMOs, you should try it.

    More than 3000 hours into the game prior to the launch of Endwalker, I had thought that the upcoming expansion was going to have a bad time overcoming the success of previous expansions; but Square Enix has proved me wrong.

    Shadowbringers was already a 10/10 for me, I never expected anything better and yet they managed to surpass it. Best conclusion to a story I've never experienced. I can't imagine how good it is on PS5 or PC...

    Final Fantay 14 Endwalker is the highlight of the best MMO ever. And the story is SO GOOD. It does things to you even story focused single player games struggle to achieve. Its mor than a game, its an experience.

    Endwalker brings together a nine year journey, multiple characters, expansions and sees an amazing payoff for those all involved, from the developers who put in thousands of hours of work to correct their initial mistakes, to the players who stood by their side thought the bad and into the amazing, to the new players taking their first steps.     Its hard to say where they go from here, or how they top this. It might not be possible. But we said that about Shadowbringers.

    Perfect ending for the 10 years grand saga, the story itself can be 6.3 length compare to previous expansion, must give my perfect score to the developer team for giving a masterpiece in hard time like this, please continue to deliver us more or more grand saga ^^

    A well paced expansion with incredibly gripping narrative set pieces, accompanied by strong dialogue, stellar voice acting and cohesive plot. The sheer spectacle of certain newer featured zones, battles and cutscenes make the expansion an absolute treat visually, especially considering how high Shadowbringers had set the bar. The music is easily some of the best the game has to offer as well.

    With the Endwalker expansion Final Fantasy XIV becomes an even more "Final Fantasy"game with its world building, super writing and great characters. At the same time it expands its foundation as an MMO thus becoming a superb game that probably has no equal at this moment in time.
