Jul 23, 2020My personal GOTY, both this one and the original game are some of my all time favorite games.
The soundtrack (seriously listen to the Airbuster theme), the gameplay, the boss battles, the voice acting, everything is perfect.
A lot of people may not like the ending but I think it was pretty decent and sets up a lot of potentially interesting plot lines. -
Jul 23, 2020As a fan of the og ff7 I really enjoyed playing this one and like the new twists in the game plus the graphics are amazing looking forward to part 2

Aug 6, 2020This may be my favorite FF game. It’s right up there with FFX. I really hope they don’t rush the story. I enjoyed having the time to build a love for the characters. The time spent with them really helped to me to get invested in their struggles. I can see myself really growing attached. I hope they continue this amazing quality and story telling. I can’t wait to play the sequel on the PS5!

Aug 9, 2020I not played the original game, so I can't talk about of how good was the remake and history modifications, but as a person who was introduced to Final Fantasy franchise by this game, I can say that was a wonderful experience, history, characters, such a good soundtrack, and the combat was so fun! A must play for PS4 owners.

Jan 31, 2021Not a fan of the combat system. It definitely grew on me towards the end of the game. Absolutely HATE the materia system and not having an ability to have a fast way to change just before a fight. Can defijitely feel the slowdown in some sections to drag this out to a full game. Loved the ending. Looking forward to the next obe.

Dec 27, 2020Animation sucks.
Hit box sucks.
I don't mind if the game is split into 2 parts, but midgar only is pushing it.
90% of ff7 cut out just to sell it to you as a seperate game.
To make up for the cut content, they pad it out. Like really pad it out. A 5 to 10 minutes location is now an hour long.
I do not recommend this if you liked the OG FF7. It is a spit to the face from square enix. -

Mar 15, 2021This is an excellent game that I think which remind me of FF7 in 1997 when I was a child. The characters are exactly the same I though it would be! The fight mechanism is beautifully done, and the resolutions of the game is just tremendous. The open-cliffed ending is also excellent since we players can talk about it after this game!

Aug 16, 2022Only part of the game. The other part will be exclusive for PlayStation 5. I’m not wasting my money on that trash when a gaming pc is simply better. If you release half a game on a console, release the other half. I don’t care about performance, I feel cheated af right now and won’t bother unless I can find a way to scam it on a pc. Not paying a cent more.

Apr 20, 2020Its basically a $60 cgi movie. There's about 15 hours of gameplay, most of it is running down hallways.
RENT DO NOT BUY -
Apr 13, 2020It's a great game but for one it's not a real remake. Also the ending speeds things up too fast. The ghosts/fate beings are just annoying. It's like nothing you choose really matters.

Apr 16, 2020Just to say that, we, as fans of the original Final Fantasy VII game, we must create a petition that demands Square Enix to change the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" title to something else because the game is undoubtedly not a remake. 0 goes for the false advertisement.

Apr 10, 2020People need to understand that FF7 remake is not intending to replace the OG. Its a reimagining of the story and the characters. Think of it like a new game in an alternate (but similar) universe.
-
Apr 10, 2020The game follows perfectly all the story, character evolution, enemies and even conversations from the original.
I recommend to replay the original before getting into the remake so you can see all the little details and big effort they put into this.
But hell, haters gonna hate. -

Sep 14, 2020Final Fantasy VII Remake is the game we've been waiting for from Square Enix for so long. Atmospheric, interesting and exciting all your attention modern jRPG with an interesting story and spectacular battles. To achieve the ideal, the project only needs more even graphics and all the content from the original release. If you were waiting for a turn-based classic with new graphics you will most likely be disappointed, since the game has changed a lot. Everyone else is happy with the release of the first really powerful single-player release from the internal Square Enix studio for many years. Especially after the failure of Final Fantasy XV.
-
Aug 20, 2020A good remake of the introductory part of the cult-favorite Final Fantasy VII. It improves on the original game in almost all aspects, yet lacks in scale and drops the ball at the very end.

Aug 10, 2020What matters is still intact, and that’s the heart and soul of one of the greatest stories in video game history. It’s a return to form that has felt a long time in coming, and what’s even better is that there’s still at least two more games of this quality to come...They can’t mess this up, can they?
