    Not bad, but unfortunately it is hard to really hold my interest to keep playing the game. I do like the game but at the same time you are largely working on the game chapter by chapter and there is only so much that can be done in a chapter. After a bit of trial and error I defeated the chapter bosses but all of them are brutal tough which made the game less enjoyable. The chapters can beNot bad, but unfortunately it is hard to really hold my interest to keep playing the game.     Got this game, I think because it was free on PS plus at the time. I played it a fair bit and it’s OK. I couldn’t care less about the story because the cutscenes are incredibly boring, which is what drags this game down heavily for me. The same thing happened in FXVI for me, but the combat in that game was better. In this game combat is OK but gets repetitive and is pretty easy. I only gotGot this game, I think because it was free on PS plus at the time. I played it a fair bit and it’s OK. I couldn’t care less about the story because the cutscenes are incredibly boring, which is what drags this game down heavily for me. The same thing happened in FXVI for me, but the combat in that game was better. In this game combat is OK but gets repetitive and is pretty easy. I only got stuck on 2 bosses in the time I played.     I had times where i loved this game, and times where i got so bored i wanted to drop the game but then it got good again and i kept interest. However this game was pretty poorly optimized, and i kinda didnt finish because of that, which is sad. Still played 80% of it maybe im gonna give it another try sometimes, even tho its unlikely cuz some of the sidequests were so boring i dont want toI had times where i loved this game, and times where i got so bored i wanted to drop the game but then it got good again and i kept interest. Replacing the themes of environmentalism, corporatism and self-identity with a melodramatic brawl between ''destiny and those fated to it,'' makes of the Final Fantasy VII's narrative a juvenile clownfest that is as weightless as it is meaningless.

    one of the most overated games ever, takes a 5 hour game adds a **** ton of filler to make it 40 hours completely botches the story to make it incoherent, and somehow everyone acts like its the best thing ever

Over all a good game would be a 7 out of 10 but have to drop it down to a 6 because of the combat getting boring after a while,chapter 18 being too long,some of the characters and for all the implied rape stuff and the writing really falls off a bit in the last few chapters.
    Story: Honestly aside from a few dumb moments with characters like Cloud not doing things that they really should be aka killing certain characters and pretty much everything that happens in wall market and the end of the game and with all the rape related plot stuff the story was actually pretty good but the writing in the last three chapters really ruin the game. And don't get me started on all the times they don't kill the villains. But for real how did this get rated T with all the rape plots going on.
    Game length: Tho its a somewhat long game 20+ hours, if you're able to play for multiple hours at a time then the game kinda flies by and doesn't feel as long as it actually is barring the last few chapters that feel like they go on for ever due to poor writing, combat getting dull and all the cut scenes interrupting the combat/boss fights all the time.
    Combat: Combat stays the same with almost zero changes the whole game and tho it starts off fine/some what fun at around the 18 hour mark i was getting bored of it and it doesn't help that chapter 18 around the 20 hour mark drags on for too long with it being pretty much just boring combat.
    Cloud: Cloud is too much of a pussi even Aerith is more willing to kill the people i want to kill, i mean he was willing to kill that guy earlier in the game to keep him from talking but stops Aerith from killing the people who should die, so dumb, he's very inconsistent when it comes to killing people flip flopping threw out the whole game from being willing to kill and not wanting or letting others kill very dumb and it makes him a little unlike able.
    Biggs: Honestly went into this thinking i was gonna dislike him as i then not to like male characters but shockingly hes the only character i didn't dislike anything about, not saying he's the only character i like or hes the best character (3rd best) it's just that every other character has something i don't like about them tho mostly just tiny things.
    Jessie: Easily best girl and tho for other characters there "cute" moments don't really work for me and then to be a little annoying Jessie's "cute" moments did work for me and shes easily the 2nd best character in the game.
    Tifa: Over all shes fine but her "cute" moments didn't work for me i think its mainly due to her face seeming a bit off to me same goes for all the kid characters there faces just don't seem right not really sure why.
    Aerith: Over all i did like her, her "cute" moments for the most part worked for me and i liked that she wanted to kill the people i wanted to kill even tho Cloud wouldn't let us for some F-ing reason but there are parts where her writing isn't great.
    Barret: Honestly he's super annoying there was like one thing he said in the whole game i actually liked but over all i didn't like him he does get less annoying as the game goes on.
    Johnny: Honest kinda liked him he's pretty much the best part of the wall market bit of the game aside from Aerith.
    Wedge: Like with Biggs and Johnny i shockingly liked Wedge but one thing i didn't like about him was how the game kept trying to use him as a joke if it wasn't for that i would have liked him as much as i did Biggs.
    Red Xiii: Honestly shocked i liked this character so much he's easily the best character in the game with the only thing i didn't like about him being the forced drama with Barret thankfully that drama goes away pretty quick but would've been better if it wasn't there at all.
    Villains: Only gonna talk about a few as many of them are easily forgotten 1 The bike guy whatever his name was was too much like the Joker with Cloud being his Batman and i wasn't a fan of that 2 Hojo poorly set up like pretty much all the villains tho is the 2nd best written villain in the game tho the gameplay for that bit of the game does drag on a bit and on top of that i really didn't like him mainly due to the implied raping of Aerith 3 Heidegger is the only villain i actually liked because hes a good bad guy whose actually well set up and well written unlike someone like Reno who isn't really set up, poorly written and over all just sucks 4 Don Corneo is a good bad guy whose well set up debatablely well written and easy to hate and want to kill with the implied rape 6 Rude and Reeves both come across as somewhat good people mainly Reeves so i'm not too sure how i feel about them since there some what like able 7 Leslie Really didn't like this guy even tho the game tries to change your mind on him by having him help you and by implying the rape of his fiancee by Don but that doesn't change my feelings for him and i still want to kill him as much as i do Don all it does is make me feel bad for his girl and thats all    … Expand

If I wanted to play kingdom hearts, i'll go and play kingdom hearts, I wanted to play Final Fantasy VII with modern graphics and that's really not what this is.… Expand

    Tifa, Barret, and Aerith are the only good characters in the game. The rest of the Avalanche group add absolutely nothing to the game and only fodder characters. I found the boss battles to be painfully tedious because of how much of a damage sponge they all are. It's like when the developers were creating the amount of health each boss had, they just hit the pushed the number 9 until the data overloaded the CPU.

    Finally, the thing that really turned me off from the game was having to constantly swap between characters in real time combat. This was such a tedious process. After my 1st playthrough I thought I did something wrong because I was not enjoying the game despite everyone telling me it is a masterpiece. After my 2nd playthrough I realized I just don't like this game all that much.

    The story isn't even all the impressive either. It is basically one of those 'big evil cooperation wants to take over the world' trope. There is nothing special about it. This game does nothing spectacular and everything this game has to offer is mediocre at best.    … Expand

    Но игра появилась в PS Plus Extra и я решил попробовать.
    Делюсь впечатлением. А игра то затянула! Даже без перевода сюжет вполне можно понять, хоть я и не играл в оригинал.     И так сюжет очень хорош, для Final Fantasy конечно. Герои великолепны, особенно женщины. К ним привыкаешь, даже жалко становится в конце. Героини сексуальны, красивы. Порадовал бронеливчик Джесси. Сейчас такого особенно в евро-американских играх не увидишь!
    Игра, в отличии от Final Fantasy 15, абсолютно линейна. Никакого открытого мира нет. Ближе к концу появляется возможность вернуться в те поселения которые уже посещал. Вот и вся свобода перемещения. Но может это даже и хорошо, так же сделали например в Guardians of the Galaxy и игре это только на пользу пошло.
    Продолжительность для линейной игры достаточно большая. У меня ушло часов 25 на прохождение.
    Боевая система смешанная, похожа на таковую в Fallout 3, только от 3го лица. Можно биться самому, а можно набрать очки действия, поставить на паузу и выбрать какой нибудь супер удар, перк или вызвать монстра на подмогу, а можно просто полечиться. Как всегда мы играем за нескольких героев, во время боя можно переключаться между ними.
    Порадовали боссы. Как обычно в японской игре их много и они очень круты.
    Визуально выглядит, ну примерно как Final Fantasy 15, по крайней мере на PS4.
    Что очень радует, в игре есть хорошая атмосфера и если бы был перевод, а лучше озвучка, то Final Fantasy VII Remake вероятно стала бы одной из мох любимых игр. Но увы.
    Теперь о не очень хорошем.
    В игре действительно очень мало свободы, тебе буквально показывают где ты должен пройти, на сантиметр правее и всё, стена. Ещё меня выбесила привычка нашего протагониста ни с того не с сего переходить с бега на очень медленный шаг и ничего с этим сделать нельзя. Особенно меня "порадовал" подъём на 59 этаж небоскрёба по лестнице (из за незнания инглиша не знал, что лифт был ;'-D). И наш герой к концу передвигался уже ползком. 15 минут мы идём и ничего не происходит. Зачем? ХЗ!
    Боёвку конечно подкачали, но все равно как и в Final Fantasy 15 во время битвы иногда вообще не понятно где ты и с кем ты бьёшся.
    И так резюмирую.
    Игра очень понравилась, но как не странно, из за политики разработчиков мог бы её вообще не увидеть если бы не PS Plus. Но оценку всё равно понижу. Нет не самой игре, а Square Enix, которые зажали даже субтитры русские прикрутить. Жлобы.
    На сколько я знаю это вообще только первая часть Final Fantasy VII и скоро выйдет продолжение. К сожалению сейчас на перевод рассчитывать совсем не стоит.    … Expand

Además, parte de la gracia de este sistema de combate, al englobarlo en el juego completo, es ver cómo empiezas siendo un mindundi, y acabas pasando por la derecha al gran Sefirot... ¿qué van a hacer ahora? ¿en FFVII Rebirth volver a empezar? No tiene gracia.

    Gráficos espectaculares. Música preciosa, incluso las nuevas piezas. Escenas fieles al original increíbles. Incluso alguna misioncilla secundaria que expande el lore de personajes secundarios está bien verla y conocerlos más...

    Y por último... la basura woke. Cloud no puede bailar así en el Honeybee Inn. CLOUD NO. Cualquier otro personaje hubiera colado, pero el Cloud de este momento de la historia no...

    En fin, una lástima para los que llevábamos 25 años esperando y soñando en cómo sería uno de nuestros juegos favoritos en la generación actual, y hemos acabado teniendo un pariente lejano de ese juego en su lugar...    … Expand

    I've never played the original FF7 so I went into this completely blind. I had a great time playing this game, however, you could easily cut off about 7 hours of filler from it. There's just way too many slow paced walking around sections and the side quests are very dull. The combat is fun af though. Even on normal it was a real challenge.     Good graphics but the combat is very repetitive which makes the game become boring, especially at the end, and story-wise it wasn't that special compared to nowadays games.

    I never played the original so I thought I'd finally experience the FFVII story with this one. Until I learned that it's not the original story AND the bulk of it is just Waifu Walking Simulator.

    It's a shame, because there's a lot of cool stuff about it visually, the combat (mostly, anyway), etc. but there's just so much fluff and filler. The original was long enough apparently, why    I never played the original so I thought I'd finally experience the FFVII story with this one. Until I learned that it's not the original story AND the bulk of it is just Waifu Walking Simulator.

    Un muy buen juego con gráficos de locura y una jugabilidad perfecta. Pero no me gustó nada que se tomarán tanta libertad en cambiar tantas cosas y que no sea fiel al original eso y su estúpida manía de hacerlo por partes.

This is an amazingly well presented version of part of the story, and although I am not completely sold on some of the changes yet, I certainly wasn't screaming that the sky was falling when I noticed deviations from the original.     The story has a lot of good parts, the characters are better written than I anticipated. however most of the game is so padded with irrelevant faffing about that the pace just ends up downright terrible. As for the actual gameplay, the entire game is basically a really long corridor with some very simple environmental puzzles or side-activities. Combat is functional    Very mediocre.

    Combat is functional and has some variety and strategy to it, but it is very much style over substance, and dramatically overstays its welcome. It basically plays like a much worse version of Kingdom Hearts which decided to have the animations look cooler at the cost of not feeling nearly as good to control.

    The art & audio is fantastic though, as you'd expect, but frankly I see those as force-multipliers of the gameplay & story, and with gameplay this weak, and story this dragged out it just isn't enough to amount to more than "good". And frankly there are lots of great and amazing games out there, so I'd suggest playing those instead.

    In summary:

    I'd honestly suggest you just watch a lets' player play it instead. The story is too padded out, and there are many much better games if you want roughly its style of combat.    … Expand

    No doubt, this is a AAA game with some fantastic exterior graphics and a very beautiful recreation of Midgar which adds a lot of points and value due to the nostalgia factor. I understand that it is not an easy task to recreate this legendary ps1 era game but the designers did overall a good job. The game has many many flaws but also a lot of strong points which will keep your interest.No doubt, this is a AAA game with some fantastic exterior graphics and a very beautiful recreation of Midgar which adds a lot of points and value due to the nostalgia factor. I understand that it is not an easy task to recreate this legendary ps1 era game but the designers did overall a good job. The game has many many flaws but also a lot of strong points which will keep your interest. Throughout the game you become the feeling that many parts of the original game got stretched only for the sake of adding gameplay hours. Some dungeons are definitely tedious and many aspects of the original story were changed. Personally I didnt like these changes. But still the quality of the production is so good that you will still keep playing without losing interest. Is it the remake I expected? No. Is it a masterpiece like the original ff7? No.
    But still it is a quality product every final fantasy fan should not miss.    … Expand

    There is a LOT of padding and filler, and at times just felt like a FF15 reskin, especially with the poor camera angles; however, it was still an enjoyable experience and I look forward to the next chapter. I just hope they cut all the unnecessary padding and filler, and stick to the main story line while flushing out the character development.

    Un juego muy decepcionante.
    En primer lugar, este juego no es una nueva versión real, sino un reinicio reescrito del original. Y en eso es un poco estafador.
    En segundo lugar, el juego es completamente lineal y el 80% se compone solo de escenas.

    Profundamente decepcionado después de la espera.

    The plot is very unfriendly to new players. If you don't know anything about the original Final Fantasy 7, you will find the plot abrupt in many parts of the game.

    I was hoping the remake is the same original FF7 with better graphics so it can be played with the new generation. But I was disappointed. They did a massive effort in graphics which is by the way is the BEST! , but did not introduce to us the all storyline of final fantasy 7 .
    Now I wish if they did a remaster version instead of this.

    I played it with high expectations, but it ends up boring me, I completed the game 100%, and I found it very tedious and tiresome. The performances seemed very childish to me. I think it's a very overrated game.

    1. This is an interactive movie, there are so many cutscene interruptions that it gets down right annoying. SE can I have some GAME with my video?
    2. Playing on standard combat is pathetic, your NPC companions are dumb as a box of rocks stuck in cement. Give me the old FF& combat style any day over this.    The only thing this game is, is pretty, it's stunningly beautiful and THAT IS IT

    3, Story plot at points are down right stupid... how your characters don't take action to stop something they bloody well can as they stand there and WATCH! go back to the writing desk and make a sensible story you hacks!

    A disappointing game to play, and not a true Remake at all.
    They have should called Final Fantasy VII Reboot. Because this is basically what the game is, in the end.
    The graphics is excellent, but the exploration is barely minimal, and definitely more similar to a corridor simulator game, rather than a true jrpg...

    Final Fantasy VII Remake is the game we've been waiting for from Square Enix for so long. Atmospheric, interesting and exciting all your attention modern jRPG with an interesting story and spectacular battles. To achieve the ideal, the project only needs more even graphics and all the content from the original release. If you were waiting for a turn-based classic with new graphics you will most likely be disappointed, since the game has changed a lot. Everyone else is happy with the release of the first really powerful single-player release from the internal Square Enix studio for many years. Especially after the failure of Final Fantasy XV.

    A good remake of the introductory part of the cult-favorite Final Fantasy VII. It improves on the original game in almost all aspects, yet lacks in scale and drops the ball at the very end.

    What matters is still intact, and that’s the heart and soul of one of the greatest stories in video game history. It’s a return to form that has felt a long time in coming, and what’s even better is that there’s still at least two more games of this quality to come...They can’t mess this up, can they?
