    I purchased this game after skipping the last two for one reason only, custom teams. I bought Fifa 19 only for The Journey.

    Custom teams is a feature that should have been in years ago but has finally been added. I enjoyed this mode and was happy with what we got. The reason for my rating is all of the issues that are in the game. 1. The game engine is outdated and needs changing.    I purchased this game after skipping the last two for one reason only, custom teams. I bought Fifa 19 only for The Journey.

    1. The game engine is outdated and needs changing. Patchwork updates won't cut it anymore.
    2. I haven't played FUT since Fifa 12, it's garbage. A frustrating grind-filled experience unless you're willing to use real money, on top of the purchase price for the game and even then, there's no guarantee you will get anything good. FUT, IS PURE GAMBLING!
    3. The ungodly lag between screens, pisses me off.
    4. The game needs innovation in matches, gameplay, cut scenes.

    One question how do you expect to have a completive online game with constant lag and button delay? Until the fundamentals are right it really doesn't matter about anything else.

    this was my 1st Fifa that I played and this one is just not good. It's so broken and I never get anything good on Ultimate team. Just not good.

    Banned Russia, but has a bazillion Ukrainian fascist teams included... the hypocrisy is immeasurable.

    I only casually play futbol games anyway, so I wouldn't be able to critique this properly, and I am basing my review off of PS+.

    game mechanic is best its have been. However, the server quality is dog sh1t. Will not play this game anymore after this year.

    Same blady game every year I don't think ea is ever going to listen to there fans I just bought fifa 22 for 63 dollars in December and played it for 60 hours it was the worst 60 hours of my life playing the game I recently gave the game in for exchange for two games goodbye fifa will not be playing fifa anything efootball from now on onwards

    Got Fifa 22 for PS4. Only scoring a 4 on the basis that the Switch version is abysmal and literally hasn't been meaningfully updated (other than players and kits) since Fifa 19 (which had bugs in the first place) so couldn't possibly be scored higher than the PS4 version which is bad enough in itself for new gameplay. Gameplay is good in itself (when not glitching) and feels realistic butGot Fifa 22 for PS4. Gameplay is good in itself (when not glitching) and feels realistic but the lack of effort put in to career mode is telling. EA have sold themselves out to microtransactions and have made it clear through the lack of effort they put into their games that they are only interested in FUT and appealing to those willing to spend more money than the £50 disc. You can't even play offline divisions offline now in FUT so the only option is squad battles or play with your friend. For that reason this will be the last Fifa game I'll purchase until things changed. I didn't buy it last year and nothing much has changed from the year before and year before that for the casual, offline player.
    The biggest frustration of all however is that even in career mode the game was running really slow and glitching as if it was being played online with a bad connection.definitely would not recommend. If you have a PC version, I'm sure you could download a player update patch for Fifa 21 and have the same experience as players playing this year's version. EA are rip off merchants and players need to stop accepting mediocrity.    … Expand

    This game is not football. It blows my mind that EA after all these years still can't make a great football game. it generates income off a gambling machine. If Konami don't get it right on the pitch there is no hope for football games if this is out only option.

    This is an update (downgraded) version of FIFA 20. New players, menus, music. Same awful AI, same **** bugs from FIFA 20. I thought they would have fixed some bugs ... it's been 2 years. Even 50% of the full price is shameful. But hey EA loves our money on don't give a damn.

    I can see why this one went straight from release to the bargain bin (less than half price) at my local Target store. Don't get me wrong - its a very good game but even at less than half price you're buying a game that - if you've bought any FIFA game in the last few years - you've already got! It's the same old EA Sports con - pay full price for updated rosters and poor menu design.

    A few things that really annoy: menus are clunky and jerky, colour palette is garish, stadiums with sun/shadow on the pitch are unplayable as the ball and players disappear in the shadows, commentary is repetitive and cliched ('the atmosphere is electric' - really?), PLEASE bring back Martin Tyler, the layout within e.g. Tournament assumes players have no interest in reviewing their results in games played to date - it is truly awful - to simply see the results of your last few games is a fiddly time consuming mess where you can only see one result at a time then you have to scroll up/down through days and side to side through months to find the next one. And what is it with the absurdly clunky standing tackle?

    Really disappointing. Wish I didn't bother. If you've got any FIFA game since 2018, you've got FIFA 22.    … Expand

    A mecânica e Jogabilidade ficou muito ruim os bonecos tudo lerdo os zagueiros conseguem buscar atacantes que são mais rápidos que eles, a máquina cpu pega a bola e fica só passando a bola pra lá e pra cá e jogo não anda chega dar raiva, o fifa 21 e melhor.

    malísimo mucha handicap poca simulación con situaciones raras , usan un sistema de stats poco reflejado en el gameplay donde un jugador se 70 de ritmo puede alcanzar fácilmente en defensa a tu delantero con ritmo perfecto ,contenido malo donde se repiten los mismos jugadores del año pasado solo que en promociones ,pay to win

    Seit Jahren ist FIFA nur noch kacke. Zum Glück war das jetzt "kostenlos" in PS Plus enthalten. Selbst wenn ihr Fanboys seid holt es euch nicht. Es ist ein großer Haufen dampfender Mist.

    Tired of the same graphic since FIfa18 and the stupid AI doing the same dumb moves causing stupid off-side faults and it's just a mess do NOT waste your money on it !

    Usually when you are playing friendly matches just for tedious objectives the game starts laging like cyberpunk 2077 mking it totally unplayable so basicallly EA kidnaps you 20 mins, 20 mins of pure agony, im not buying it never again dont care anymore

    Abysmal game, nothing new other than the sloppy basic programming of some career mode stuff. None of the actual game plays any better and nothing new on the looks either. Another number added onto the basic game of FIFA 15. Avoid.

    This game is more or less the same as FIFA 21, with 1 exception, the gameplay is slowed down to an often painful level, making it almost unplayable, unless you are using a team with a lot of pace (like PSG). This is a waste of money for the same game made worse, do not give EA your money.

    I play mainly career mode and this version offers little evidence of noticeable improvements over last year. In fact some menu tweaks have degraded usability and information presentation. The match commentary is worse, and bizarre things happen in game play like the opponent doing crazy back passes when through on goal, and play going into slow-mo during tackles.     Although the game is the latest installment of the popular franchise of FIFA games, and is the official license of the aforementioned-- this feels like it's an absolutely incredible game for its time, if it was the early 2000's that is.     Although the game is the latest installment of the popular franchise of FIFA games, and is the official license of the aforementioned-- this feels like it's an absolutely incredible game for its time, if it was the early 2000's that is.

    The gameplay changes every match, one game you're springing off passes as if you're prime Pirlodinho (yes I did just cross Pirlo and Ronaldinho) and then the next match your players can't find the proverbial lady to in an establishment of ladies, that alone is absolutely unforgivable-- but there's more. The glitches and A.i in this game are absolutely awful, with the famed kick off glitch where your opponents players stand around like statues whilst you twinkle toe your way passed their 90 rated defence as you take your kick off to score a very dirty bad tasting goal-- there is also the fact that your players randomly do things in the wrong order of which has been put down to button delay, there are 10's more unforgivable glitches and pure awfulness of this game but the one that takes the cake for me is the fact that if you are lucky enough to have friends and those friends are also masochistic in their gaming and agree to play rivals with you, and you're absolutely destroying your enemy-- I mean opponent to where they forfeit, you COULD possibly come away from that with one of you winning that match and the other recording a match loss, ending your win streak and costing you a division promotion (yes this has cost me promotion on multiple occasions, my friend who pretty much exclusively plays co op with me is in the division higher than me because of it).

    Summing this up, I would suggest not buying this game at anywhere close to full price, and waiting for it to drop to what it is actually worth which is MAYBE £20 at best. Also just a note, the keepers went from being amazing in this game for the first time, to absolutely awful brain dead Bambi on rollerskates. (The keeper stats don't actually matter, look for the hidden in game stat called REACTIONS, this determines whether a keeper has half a brain or no brain)

    FIFA 22 makes the leap to the new generation in a conservative way, with slight changes in its gameplay that lay the foundations of what the saga may become in the future. Lovers of football simulators will enjoy its fast pace and large amount of content.

    After many hours spent on the next-gen version of FIFA 22 (PS5-Xbox Series) and its old-gen bent, the conclusion is there: PC, Xbox One and PS4 players will have a version with the flaws of the new generation, but cut off from its strengths.
