    Defending broken.

    The game is an unplayable mess. The ball physics are dire and it floats in the air like a balloon. But worst of all is the abysmal defending online. Offline you can switch back to legacy defending, but online forces you to user tactical defending which is broken and completely unenjoyable. Play PES, download the option file and play an enjoyable game of    Defending broken.

    Fifa 21 is an improvement over last years fifa in some ways but still lacks in so many sad ways!!! To start i really wish ea would stop using the frost bite engine, second, pay to win is a game breaker and ea shows its nasty greedy hands once again. still think Pes 21 is better football.

    This is the first fifa I’ve purchased since fifa 17. I’ve been playing PES since 2014 and have continued to buy that game since I’ve seen continuous improvements to gameplay with PES. I decided to buy this one since it was on sale for 10 dollars, so I though “sure, why not?” It’s painful to see how little this game has changed in the past 4 years. It feels like almost exactly the same gameThis is the first fifa I’ve purchased since fifa 17. I’ve been playing PES since 2014 and have continued to buy that game since I’ve seen continuous improvements to gameplay with PES. I decided to buy this one since it was on sale for 10 dollars, so I though “sure, why not?” It’s painful to see how little this game has changed in the past 4 years. It feels like almost exactly the same game as 17 except I’d say the goal keepers are worse than before (I can’t speak for 18, 19 or 20 since I didn’t play those). Defending still feels like your players don’t entirely understand how to play their position since at times they will leave players wide open for an easy goal (I play on world class difficulty so this CANNOT happen). Attacking also largely feels the same, it’s very easy and straightforward to find an opening and thread the ball between the defenders for the most part. Over the head through balls feel really overpowered and way too easy to perform. Since every team plays exactly the same, once you’ve found a strategy that works for you, you’ll pretty much always be able to create chances on goal no matter which team you play. It’s a simple rinse and repeat, the thing that will cause you to lose games is whether you’re able to capitalize on your chances or not. Since there are often times the AI will score on you even though you did nothing wrong, or couldn’t have prevented them from scoring because your AI defense left them open, this is what will ultimately decide if you win or lose in the end. Not because you didn’t play better or because you played worse, but because the AI decided certain things were going to happen. I’m not saying this is “scripting” but you could certainly argue that the AI seems to plan out certain things. Overall, the game really hasn’t changed much. Career mode is largely the same, ultimate team seems to have gotten all the focus as usual. If you see it for dirt cheap like I did, and you don’t have PES (which is a much better game in my opinion), then go for it, it’s worth 10 or less dollars, but any more than that and I’d say don’t waste your money.… Expand

    It concerns me when critics give NO negative reviews on a game that is quite frankly just not up to standard. Frostbite isn’t made for sports games, FIFA has proved this the past few years with lacklustre releases that resemble players ice skating round a pitch rather than running. Whilst both FIFA and PES have flaws, the latter is a mile ahead with gameplay and that’s even with theirIt concerns me when critics give NO negative reviews on a game that is quite frankly just not up to standard. Frostbite isn’t made for sports games, FIFA has proved this the past few years with lacklustre releases that resemble players ice skating round a pitch rather than running. Whilst both FIFA and PES have flaws, the latter is a mile ahead with gameplay and that’s even with their own Fox Engine issues. If you want a soccer sim avoid FIFA, it might look pretty (most of the time) but it’s certainly not a realistic depiction of the beautiful game.

    FIFA has always been flash with very little substance especially at the end of this console generation with it’s only real appeal being it having licenses (which can easily be loaded into PES in less that 10 minutes using an option file). FIFA 21 is no different, it’s pretty much the same game as 21 with a comical “Agile Dribble” which looks ludicrously unrealistic when players such as CBs can do it at will. Players still feel wayward, defending is as bad as it has ever been and the inevitable scripting is there with some very obvious bugs where defenders stop balls with superhuman stretches and balls getting stuck on the crossbar amongst others.

    The fact that so-called journalists are giving this game 80+ ratings is a joke, scores reserved for Good games that aren’t full priced updates of an already stagnant formula that seriously needs a shake up with PES changing engines for 2022. It shows you can’t trust those sites, stick to YouTube and listen to people who aren’t EA influencers or on the end of their ad money.

    Career Mode has gotten some attention which has been sorely needed but when the game is in the state it is, where’s the fun or point of even putting time in? EA wants you to be playing FUT, spending money on a team that will reset next you and you need to start all over again.

    Avoid FIFA, avoid EA’s production line sports titles which are regurgitated every year with very little improvement yet they still expect you to fork out the price of an AAA game. But people won’t, they’ll buy FIFA and will just enable EA to keep releasing rubbish.    … Expand

    Every year we seemingly get very little return on the money we invest into EA's Fifa title, this year is no different. The career mode changes with regards to player growth EA decided to borrow a lot from PES so that every player can have a plan to grow and improve. So, however long Fifa has been around it has took this long for the ability to change a player position it doesn't seem groundbreaking because its not. Once again EA also recycle old content and bring it back to make it out as if they're doing something new, yes the loan to buy option is back. In summary the changes made are minimal and seem lazy.

    Gameplay follows the same trend of Fifa 20, if you didn't have some minor UI changes and new kits you'd be forgiven for mistaking Fifa 21 for last years game. The changes to gameplay are more in the responsiveness of trick moves, last years Fifa had a seeming delay behind tricks and often times they wouldn't register. Some AI changes have happened as well you will see your players make better runs and throughballs seem better for cutting teams open, you can also direct your AI teammates with what direction they run. Minor changes, but overall welcome which improves on 20. Finally, ofcourse, its not a Fifa without the weird scripting this year no different the system is here to stay im afraid.

    Graphically the game is starting to show signs of age, nearly every year and we see little change with this either. Generic non scanned faces are hard to look at, this is something that needs to be upgraded on but for whatever reasons its not. Another issue is not enough scanned faces and EA's lack of drive to add more and give the fans a means to add them themselves.

    I haven't really touched Ultimate Team, but I don't think this detracts from my review. The audio is fine usual old typical Fifa tracks, nothing that really adds to a higher overall score of the game.

    Finally, capping my review off with some important point for you to consider before purchasing this. This game is more like a seasonal update, ask yourself this, is a game with a few years work done on it worth the same as games with 5 year plus cycles? I believe PES 21 did the right thing, they did an update and didn't charge the excessive unfair amount that EA expect you to pay for 21 whilst going through the usual rubbish grind with Ultimate Team pack openings. I am aware iv went down into a bit of a rant, but how far does a company have to delve before the consumers call them out on it? Verdict, its good to see career mode get a little attention but its simply not enough. There isn't enough meat on the bone 4/10. Could have been a 7 or 8 if it was packaged rightfully as a seasonal update.    … Expand

    The gameplay started to be nice, but later on, there comes a lot of patches, making it harder to get along within the game. Just a watch a couple of videos and depending on the latest patches, you will see some laws of physics bending bugs like balls-through-bodies or having your defenders running away from a ball, they most definitely would have intercepted. Whats my point ? It’s not a football / Fussball / Soccer simulation if I am not in control of the action. Will this improve over time ? Probably , but I really wonder if the developers want you to pay a lot or if they want to deliver an impressive simulation. Time will tell.

    There are some things though, that I like about the game and it is the amount of content and special cards I could get in the first three moth of playing. But I beg you , if you love football simulations as much as I do, don’t spend to much money. I had the best season ever without spending cash extra, and it made the experience much easier for me to know that I can proceed in the game without paying. But until Fifa decides , that this game is about skills rather then it being a rail-simulation, we just gotta wait and see. Or maybe we take a glance on a famous Japanese company who came up with a cool simulation a couple of years ago.    … Expand

    This is a true review instead of just trying to bash the game. EA are really trying to promote Volta as the mode to play this year and although it is fun for a few hours, it does not have enough to hold a players interest.

    FUT is the big seller and EA know this, they have added a co-op mode to this which is a nice touch but this is as far as compliments can go about this game. My favourite mode of fifa is pro clubs with my friends and this is the same that has been for the last 4 years, there’s a bug that doesn’t show the right kit that existed in fifa 20 and guess what... it’s still here, how lazy can you get. Career mode has no personality and seems to be bottom of EA’s priorities, with the game having features return and claim to be new additions. Game scanned faces are the same ones from years ago, with only champions league clubs seeming to be the ones that ever get any attention. This game may as well be a patch update from Fifa 20, EA will never change unless someone comes to disrupt the market and with how licensing works I don’t think that will ever change.    … Expand

    Online career mode is good but if you want to buy this game for the Pro Clubs mode - don't bother! Had the game since release and haven't been able to play no more than 20 games. Constant error message saying "Unable to connect to opponent". Fifa need to get their fingers out their ****'s and fix these bugs... £50 for what?

    Juego con muchos errores. Graficamente a mi parecer es inferior a los anteriores y en su jugabilidad defensas torpes. muy enfocado a lo árcade definitivamente no lo recomiendo

    14 was    I bought this game 2 days ago and I already regret the purchase. EA what on earth are you doing? FIFA 13 was my first FIFA and also my favorite, would play the game for hours without stopping, passing worked, tackling worked, crosses and headers worked, defending worked, attacking was awesome and best of all anyone could play anyway they liked, and it all simply worked.

    14 was essentially the same but players couldn't turn quick enough and headers were somewhat OP, so i kept playing 13, 15 was okay too but this was where it started that the game wouldn't let me play how I wanted, it was like I was actively playing against the game itself. Didn't play 16 & 17, 18 was okay but nowhere near as good as 13-15, but i still enjoyed 18 quite a bit, 19 was horrible (time finesse nonsense), skipped 20, and now we have 21.

    But this 21, EA what is this, is this even football? This is not football!! as much as i hated 19, it was still football, i could attack, defend, players could actually turn and move and etc... But this 21, what is even happening in this game?

    Defenders just stand there and let attackers pass them.
    Standing tackles don't work (tactical defending has been ruined).
    Defenders are so slow I just don't understand.
    Players (especially defenders) turn too slowly.
    Player switching is erratic, the right stick switching is more reliable.
    Attacking AI runs are better, but i think this is just because the defense is horrible.
    A lot of times when you successfully tackle, you get stuck to the opponent and he still gets the ball back.
    When I get tackled, my player refuses to recover for a good second, they get stuck in this weird passive animation, i just don't understand.
    A lot of times, players just dont react to loose balls as if they're not concerned.
    Passes a lot of times go to the wrong person, like i was aiming at the other guy, what's happening?
    Interceptions are just weird and inconsistent.
    Feints are ultra OP.

    EA has even managed to automate everything, the game basically plays itself.
    In the controls we have;
    Auto shoot
    Auto block
    Auto dribble

    What's left for me to do if i enable all these? And one cant disable the auto block because all your opponents are using it, if you disable it you'll never win anything.

    Also we have keeper assisted saves, mine is on semi and I the difference is glaring when playing against others, there keepers are just saving everything, now i have to put mine on assisted too.

    Even when i play bad passes the game autocorrects the trajectory and makes it a good pass by force. What's all this?

    Now playing against others is just a horrible experience, i can tell these guys are bad players and I still lose anyways, now why is this?

    1. All they do is run with fast players and do feints, now my defense just cant handle feints for some reason.
    2. Stats are everything in this game, I play online seasons with atletico madrid and everyone else uses Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, PSG or Bayern, that's it almost always these teams. It's so hard playing against these big clubs because the difference in stats is just too much. Eventually i switched to Man City, played against a guy using Athletico, and after 2-0 by 10 minutes he quit the game, I had to message him to not bother using atletico.
    3. Most use constant pressure and well they just wont lemme breathe throughout the match. Sometimes I can swear people are using legacy defending.

    EA, your game does not work, why can't we just have a good game at launch, why? All these mechanics worked when i played FIFA 13, i never complained about passing, defending or player switching, how is it that you're just making the game worse every year, how?

    At this point I'll just settle for a FIFA 13 remaster or something.

    AI Defending and tackling in general as well as just the whole defending aspect of the game is a broken, pathetic mess. AI defenders DO NOT defend the box, there is always a man or 2 making a run and the defending AI just lets them. Offensively the game has a lot of good things going on, but the fact that defending is literally broken, I can not recommend this game to anyone aside fromAI Defending and tackling in general as well as just the whole defending aspect of the game is a broken, pathetic mess.     Terrible game play, started off well, but ruined by patches as usual. Just finished a match a few minutes ago, 14 shots on target, just 1 goal scored. Stupid.

Siempre este juego empieza con buen pie en cuanto a la jugabilidad, pero a los dos parches de la salida (unas semanas después) esta vuelve a ser la misma de siempre (muy simple en el online, basándose en correr y aprovecharse de exploits). El hándicapDecepcionante trabajo de EA en este juego. La menor cantidad de novedades añadida hasta la fecha en un FIFA y la peor jugabilidad en años. El hándicap continúa presente en el juego y eso hace muy injustos los partidos; y además han empeorado la interfaz con respecto a juegos anteriores. A todo esto se le suma el pay to win del online, siendo muchísimo más fácil progresar pagando por sobres de jugadores. Ya puede dar un cambio la franquicia porque actualmente este juego no merece la pena. A pesar de todo ello, posee muchos modos de juego y es entretenido de jugar con amigos. 4/10

    Pese a que era bastante difícil hacerlo peor que la anterior entrega, el FIFA 20, este por casi lo consigue, menos mal que no.
    Estoy muy cabreado con el juego, a pesar de que tiene cosas buenas, me cansó tan rápido que me di cuenta de lo regular que estaba, empecemos:
    Por fin cambió la jugabilidad en el Volta, después del añadido del año pasado, que era como jugar a fútbol 11 pero con 5    Pese a que era bastante difícil hacerlo peor que la anterior entrega, el FIFA 20, este por casi lo consigue, menos mal que no.
    Estoy muy cabreado con el juego, a pesar de que tiene cosas buenas, me cansó tan rápido que me di cuenta de lo regular que estaba, empecemos:
    Por fin cambió la jugabilidad en el Volta, después del añadido del año pasado, que era como jugar a fútbol 11 pero con 5 jugadores, este año cambió la jugabilidad, ahora se nota más dinámico que en otros modos, sobre todo el tiro a trallón, muy chulos esos detallitos añadidos.
    Otra cosa positiva, el añadido del modo carrera, aunque podrían haberlo pulido algo más, espero que sea de transición y que para el año lo vuelvan a mejorar, porque varios años así, se va a hacer pésimo, falta mucho detalle importante, pero bueno, se agradecen los añadidos, aunque es lo mínimo.
    Me parece asqueroso que no puedas tener tu propio estilo de juego jugando online, hay que hacer la dinámica que funciona, y si no, estás perdido, eso me aborrece, de verdad.
    El juego está demasiado lleno de bugs, pero mucho, fatal fatal hecho, con el añadido de mecánicas rotas por todos lados, lo dicho, lo que funciona es lo que funciona, y si no sabes, o no quieres hacerlo porque tienes otro estilo, estás fuera.
    También, me parece absurdo las cartas en Ultimate Team, no tiene sentido, se lo cargaron muy pronto, jodido de disfrutar si no tienes el juego directamente desde el principio, aburrido, un modo pésimo a mi manera de ver, o estás 24/7 metido en él, o no tienes oportunidad, y eso, no mola.
    No quiero añadir que hasta los trofeos estuvieron bugueados durante un buen tiempo, de verdad, un juego muerto para mí.    … Expand

    Argubly one of the worse sports games ever. The defending is a joke, every team you play against plays the same style of play and keeps the ball for ages and then you just counter amd score. Every game finishes 4-5 or 5-3. Such a joke

    Gra git ale w Division źle dobiera przeciwników w lidze 9 nie da się wygrać bo grasz tylko z zawodnikami z grającymi jak zawodnicy z 1 ligi . Na początku roku była fajna ale od lutego się popsuła.

    Let's start with the pros - good soundtrack. Volta is also ok.

    Now time for the cons:
    The gameplay is disgustingly awful. Nothing has weight to it, the scripting is absurd, players are flying all over the place, you need to attempt a body slam to get a foul and the skill moves are pulled straight out of shaolin soccer - this is not what football looks or feels like.
    The presentation is actually awful. I had gotten used to people telling me that PES doesn't have good presentation but I decided that I was making a trade - presentation for good gameplay. But nah, most of the players look NOTHING like their real life counterparts, a hefty amount are using VERY OLD (we're talking 2015) player models and a very small fraction are actually up to date and looking like the real deal. Menues feel laggy and the graphics have this "coated in vaseline" feel to them.

    The only game mode that has received any attention is FUT which has always been a waste of time to me. Everything else is more or less the exact same as it was back in 2018.

    EA have once again managed to hit a new low... and no one is surprised.    … Expand

    Im big fifa fan but for some couple years this game is soo **** im career mode player so I really appreciate changes for this mode but in general I Cant play this game its really pathetic playing againt AI and game looks horrible

    Defense AI is one of the ugliest seen ever in a sport game, there is always a man free to shoot in the penalty area, and it happens both for you and for the opponents, making the matches finish at unrealistic results like 4-4 or 6-5.
    In conclusion i think that those were the 69 euros worst spent in videogames of my life, leaving me with big disappointment.

Any hint of realistic game play has been done away with to appease players that were unhappy last year with the pace system. Games can still feel scripted. Defender A.I. is still lacking and the career mode has changes but they are ones that no one really asked for. Goal Keepers are atrocious at every level.     Played FIFA for years, at this point have entirely given up on FUT due to the canyon sized gap between players who spend real money and those who don't. This review deals primarily with career mode or games vs. the AI. The rating is only a 3 due to the options and diversity available in career mode. Ending games with 16-23 tackles, 0 fouls, but significantly less possession because the ball bounces back to the Ai every. single. time. Not to mention the number of incredibly cheap fouls on the last man or a man in the box that either do not get called or don't produce a card. AI defending is solid at times, at other times hysterically bad, but the worst aspect of defense this year is the case of the always missing full-backs. It simply does not matter what your LB/RB's work rate is, what his/her positioning rating is, the instructions you use, or the position adjustments you make. No matter what you do, one or both of these players will track to the very center of the midfield, almost to the CDM position. The AI will receive the ball high up the pitch, make two below average passes, and then blast a full-field through ball down the wing which, regardless of who you've brought back to defend it, will work. Then comes the classic sprint to the sideline and retain possession because every steal goes out of bounds. It's no exaggeration to say this happens, minimum, 15-25 times a game depending on AI possession. Even when it's not threatening or even when your fullbacks are pacey, it still ruins whatever realistic feel might have been there originally. The only defense is spamming offsides trap. Maybe just one attempt to attack up the middle, out of the hundreds and hundreds of attempts to the exact same spot down the wing would be a good idea. It is possible, through significant manipulation of the sliders, except for the GK slider which is broken (yours will always get beaten 90-95% of the time and the AI will always save it 90-95% of the time except on rare occasions against bad teams) to enjoy a season or two on career mode. Granted, we sound a tad spoiled considering EA's FIFA is one of the best soccer simulations available but there are obvious, obvious errors with the new features promised each year. If a collection of gamers on reddit and twitter can figure out how to patch those gaping holes with only things like sliders, it shouldn't be that hard for EA to do the same. Overall, if you're looking for a calming experience with a game, you're in the wrong place. But, if you're hopelessly addicted to this series of games as most of us are, wait for the next title. Hopefully it'll be better.… Expand

    It's more FIFA again, if you aren't bored of it yet then you might like it but there's very few gameplay updates. If you told me it was FIFA 20 i'd believe it.

    Probably the most annoying part is how bad some players still look, there's barely any updates each year but still so many players look nothing like they should.

    I was hoping that FIFA 21 would be the title to get me excited about next gen, about getting PS5 or new Xbox but it's far from. Its minimal, the story mode has been pretty much removed (yeah Volta is a cheap trick and a joke). The changes in Manager mode probably took a week for some junior designer to come up with. The menus are sad, boring and uninspiring, depressing almost. There is the excitement of soccer, the motion, the action and dynamic energy of players? So much missed opportunity. I am guessing and hoping its all due to little investment from EA in developing this game rather than skill of individuals working on the game. The game is a good replication of how football is experienced during this pandemic, there are some great moments of good football, buy overall its pretty lifeless and the energy is missing.    … Expand

    Anything that goes in the air is almost impossible to defend. The bots are extremely slow and you can't play like that. DEFENDING IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE. you have to score 5 goals a match in order to properly win a game

    Zamanına göre oynadığım en kötü fifa oyunu. Defans yapamıyorsunuz, topa hiçbir şekilde müdahale edemiyorsunuz, rakip oyuncuya omuz koyamıyorsunuz. Kaleciyle bile rakip kaleye kadar gitmek çok kolay. Tek güzel yanı aşırtmalar çok hoş olmuş. Onun dışında oynanacak gibi değil.

    FIFA 20 durant le mois d'octobre 2019 était vraiment bien calibré entre l'attaque et la défense il y avait un jeu bien réalisé et équilibré dans lequel on pouvait prendre du plaisir.... MAIS!

    Suite aux pleurnichards venant des anglais qui s'en sortaient pas, le jeu a subit une MaJ détruisant tout le gameplay mis en place dans le but de satisfaire les english wales (et ouais c'est l'argent qui drive le gameplay) du coup on a eu un jeu avec une vitesse de jeu augmentée, tellement que le GameEngine ne suit même pas, on peut le constater en regardant les animations des joueurs qui glissent sur le terrain, symptomatique que l'animation est trop longue par rapport à la vitesse du jeu, du coup l'animation est accélérée ou n'a pas le temps d'être jouée.

    Pourquoi tout ce bla-bla, tout simplement parce que FIFA 21 hérite de tout çà, ce n'est plus un jeu de football. Ça fait 3 années que c'est de pire en pire, le dernier jeu vraiment bien étant le 17. Avec cet opus le jeu est méga speed et full arcade (tu tires dos au but, t'inquiète le joueur va faire un 180° en calant une lucarne, ce n'est qu'un exemple parmi tant d'autres...). Le moteur de jeu gérant la physique est le même et commence à être à bout souffle, les joueurs patinent sur le terrain, font des dingueries avec la balle aimantée à leurs pieds... bref ils ont pas sorti de démo, on comprend mieux pourquoi. J'ai très peu d'espoir pour la version next gen, dev un nouveau moteur de jeu prend du temps (minimum 2 ans).
    Testez-le en EA access (c'est 4€ versus 50€), 10h c'est amplement suffisant pour se rendre compte de la nullité de cet opus.

    (perso j'ai annulé ma précommande direct, rdv FIFA 22 en espérant revoir un jeu de foot, l'année 2021 va être longue)    … Expand

From 2016 I dont buy this piece of sht. And every year i read here the same negative review which of coure fair, but nothing changes from year to year.     Aber ansonsten ist es wie die Vorgänger auch schon, einfach nicht gut. Seit der Alex Hunter Story Mode nicht mehr existiert ist der Reiz auch komplett verschwunden. Für ein Wochenende ausgeliehen und wieder zurück gegeben. Noch immer keine Empfehlung.

    there are some issues, every year the quality is going down, i mean, this is a pay to win game. there are features that are usefull, like the L2 for defend, is scripted, no matter if u play good, u will loose. i think this is a disgrace.

Cooperation seasons are so buggy that we cant play (why there is no option 2 vs 2???). Really very disapointment, Dont boy this now, its not worth it

This is all aside from the fact that EA is a ruthless, greedy company with no desire to make good video games. For a game that used to be so popular, even among people who didn't care about the pro leagues, there's literally no hype around it anymore. This game is made for little kids that have never played any other video game, anyone else would have high enough expectations to know this game isn't worth touching.     CM finally got a decent upgrade, but it's still so far off from being a solid mode. Two thirds of the additions over the last decade have been horrible, so each year half the game is just fixing the broken stuff introduced in the game from a previous year.

    FUT is a toxic and exploitative game mode that is only rewarding if either you have boat loads of time to trade in the market or if you're willing to spend money on packs. And the game modes aren't even that much fun.

    Can't wait to see what PES does next year after taking a year off.    … Expand

I had Inaki Williams who has 90+ pace, but somehow Alderweireld with 60 pace caught up with him, pushed him off the ball, and lobbed a 50 yard pass over the top to Bale who smashes it in with his right foot from the edge of the box (Bale has 2 star weak foot).

    The only positive from this game is Career Mode. Many good changes which makes career mode enjoyable, from training your players separately, Simulating matches which allows you to watch without having to play, official licenses for the Champions League and Europa League.     Compared to Fifa 20, there are minimal changes. A couple of improvements in Career mode and that's really it. Gameplay this year is absolutely ridiculous.     Gameplay this year is absolutely ridiculous. The defenders now seem to be stupid and can't track runners. You have to manually flick your way round the defenders to the one u want to control and hope that you are still in time. Everyone relies on the through ball and pace which is unstoppable now. Early games online have them ending like 5-6, 6-8, 7-5. Everyone is just trying to outscore each other. After some practice in defending, you can keep the score down but it's really not realistic as the games are still like ping pong games and you just want to defend and counter all the time.

    Against the CPU, on World Class, games are ending 8-0 or 9-0. You just have to exploit the through balls, and contain the CPU.

    It's not even a good simulation of the beautiful game now. It's a ping pong game of high scores.

    I don't even want to talk about micro transactions.

    Graphics - 1 (Low low score as nothing has changed for many years)

    Ful of bugs, momentum, servers are broken despite EA lying on ping values... The meta is to run straight as quickly as you can... Since this fifa is basically a slightly modified fifa 20 it is a total scandal that more bugs have been introduced and that the gameplay gets worse. Yet people will give tons of money to EA for this disastrous game

    This has to be the all time worst fifa, and personally the worst game I have ever played. The mechanics the way fifa used to be played doesn’t exist anymore. The game isn’t about football anymore, position and timing don’t matter anymore. Everyone plays the same because the game only favors one type of play style. Absolutely terrible, really regret spending my money of it.

Onestamente, per concludere, credo che le aziende interpellate nel valutare questo schifo, aborto mancato, prodotto dalla EA, abbiano ricevuto qualche compenso o altrimenti abbiano giocato ad un'altra versione di questo gioco, non ancora disponibile al pubblico, rimarrò col beneficio del dubbio anche se in cuor mio conosco già la risposta. Se negli ultimi anni FIFA arrancava ed era più simile ad una creatura moribonda che un gioco divertente, posso concludere in estrema sicurezza che FIFA 21 sia la definitiva pietra tombale su un gioco ormai morto da tempo e una ulteriore conferma della incapacità lavorativa della EA, che IMHO faceva schifo da ben prima. Spero vivamente che un'azienda così ottusa e criminale (il pay-to-win a mio avviso è un sistema al pari del gioco d'azzardo e per tale motivo proibito) trovi presto un epilogo rapido. Quando quel momento arriverà solo allora i videogiocatori potranno sperare in un videogame fatto da gente che capisca non solo di videogame, ma anche e soprattutto di calcio.     It's not even the same game as last year. It's a worse game than last year. And for the people that say "learn how to defend£", it's supposed to be a causal football game where the AI needs to have some intelligence and not act like a racoon on cocaine. I can't control 4 + defenders.

    I regret buying the game, it’s literally feels like the same game and graphics, there isn’t much difference. Plus the difference that they’ve added is the fact that defending is horrible in this game, if a defender isn’t fast then you can forget about not getting a clean sheet; pace is so OP here !!!     A great disappointment this year FIFA. I was hoping for more this year as EA should have known already what the players complaints are from last year. Basically it is the same game with a little gameplay change which is making this game to look worse. Passing, defending is so unreal and collision sytem is so bad...

Also animations and movement is poor and ball physics are poor. Also hardly any fouls by the AI.     Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
