    Save £30 and buy FIFA 19.

    EA were supposed to fix the bugs in this game and also give us a new exciting career mode. Instead, they give us some useless rubbish like interviews which have zero bearing on what happens. The same old rubbish is here. EA will never get it unless people boycott buying it, but unfortunately gamers are not wise enough to do so

Witnessed a family member spend 15 pounds on fifa points and the highest overall he got was an 87 rated player. As for volta, it literally boils down to fifa on smaller pitches.     I still enjoyed playing this years FIFA 20 though since I mostly play Career-mode, this game might not be for me since it seems to be so buggy. I don't understand what kind of mismanagement has lead to this.

    In my opinion EA has become a horrible company. The game modes that are appreciated by long-time FIFA players like career-mode are treated with no respect and very little effort. It seems like their software-developers and testers aren't given enough time to develop or improve this mode and it's even gotten a lot worse compared to FIFA 19.
    Volta is the only slight upside/improvement that's at least kinda original though in my opinion the first FIFA street, though more Arcady, was more fun. Whoever is managing EA should be ashamed of themselves. They've managed to continuously lower the quality of almost all of their game-franchises. It seems like there is a pure focus on profits, stock-value and shareholders. If they don't improve things quickly sales will hopefully drop. And fellow gamers, please stop spending money on FUT-packs and other micro transaction nonsense. Since EA won't, if gamers can't, I hope governments will step in and outlaw all of these gambling-mechanics in games, at the very least for all games without an age restriction.     Gameplay has improved overall but the game has released in a dire state.
    Career mode is almost completely broken and not worth touching till its been patched.
    Squads have not been updated to their real life counter parts. And as i write this the transfer market in FUT is not working at all. I've been a long time FIFA fan since 03, so i'm not being bias here when i say that PES 2020 is much better than FIFA this year, the gameplay and graphics of PES is on another level compared to FIFA, Pes is simulation and Fifa is arcadey.     Passing is awful, the players have gone from feeling like they're stuck in mud in fifa 19 to feeling like they're on ice skates. Your teams AI feels like it has no idea how football works which is a stark contrast to the opposition AI which predicts so many passes its actually unbelievable. So dissapointed.

    Fist the game is visually outstanding, I feel as if the passing is smooth and there is some new improved mechanics when it comes to free kicks and Penalties. FUT is solid as usual, it’s EA’s baby and cash cow. There is a new Volta street ball mode which is ok but kinda brings me to my next point. Why create this new Volta mode and that God awful journey for the last 3 years, when CareerFist the game is visually outstanding, I feel as if the passing is smooth and there is some new improved mechanics when it comes to free kicks and Penalties. FUT is solid as usual, it’s EA’s baby and cash cow. There is a new Volta street ball mode which is ok but kinda brings me to my next point. Why create this new Volta mode and that God awful journey for the last 3 years, when Career mode has been broken for years. It has so much potential, but is riddled with bugs.     I don’t know how they did but they actually made an even worse version of 19. Graphic and gameplay wise. I’ve been playing fifa yearly since “97, with only a brief period of PES around 2005. Although the quality have been declining in the past few years, this version is even worse than 19. It’s like a goal carnival with so much unfairness. I really hate playing it, for the first time inI don’t know how they did but they actually made an even worse version of 19. Graphic and gameplay wise.     Despite the critics, better than last year and EA are regularly patching gameplay to improve all the time - something Konami don't do. Love it!

    Im very dissapointed with FIFA 20. Reasons are: in NHL20 you can play made modes and have many season, also franchise mode and others. In fifa 20 the only thing you can play is multiplayer, be a pro and premier league. Nothing more. Just what the heck ea? No international tournament? Only with women, but actually, who wants to play international tournamnent for women? No one. This is badIm very dissapointed with FIFA 20.     This summer we had so many expectations, but many things weren't fixed, like the "kick of glitch" or the last minute goals. The game looks like it was focused only on FUT and not all the other vital gameplay modes. At this point they could have made a game only about that.

    I buyed the game like the most just to play ultimate team and it started very bad for me. Not like my friends i encountered serious bugs which limits my experience. But after hours of phone support I got it fixed (more or less). Bugs aside EA    This game got very hated and I totally understand why. Some other notes: You can't play your personal music and you really can't turn off tracks you don't like at least on my version of the game (which was buggy).     the worst Fifa ever. lost some teams rights. free kicks ridiculous (like a Mortal Kombat's fatality). the same game from 2018. Volta is useless. PSN connection with a never resolved lot of bugs.

    Career mode
    Career mode has gotten a few new features, but the majority of these features get boring after a while. The only new feature that doesn’t get boring is the new manager customisation, but players will most likely not use the feature after they have already created their manager. The new press conference were fun the first few times you did them, but you just get the same questions and answer them all the same way you did the last 100 times. Player Morale and the new Player chat feature is completely broken. For example, I have a player that constantly complains about not getting enough game time (despite him getting more game time than a majority of players I have) but his player morale is still very happy. There are also broken glitches that ruin the experience. Examples of these glitches are; Multiple teams getting 100+ points in one season, Teams putting out their weakest possible teams in every single game, League lasts 60 games instead of the usual 38, the Champions and Europa League will stop working after a few seasons and many more ridiculous glitches. Career mode was so broken, #FixCareerMode was trending on Twitter early on in Fifa 20’s lifespan.

    Ultimate Team
    Let’s face it, Ultimate team is basically just an online casino. Microtransactions are one of the worst things to be brought in to the gaming industry. Now, I will admit that some of the new features in Ultimage Team are pretty neat, like new challenges, new friendlies modes and even a new battle pass. However, the chances of getting anything amazing in packs are very low and EA keep adding broken cards like Ryan Kent, Ben Yedder and Adama Traore. Plus, kit SBCs are sometimes extremely overpriced, and for no real reason. Also, Divison Rivals and Weekend League are tideous Modes that are just full of annoying players and No Loss Glitch merchants.

    Volta
    No one cares about Volta. It is such a pointless mode that barely anyone plays. Hell, you couldn’t even play with your friends in this mode, but you could play a dreadful story mode instead, which was somehow even worse than EA’s other sorry excuse of a story mode; The Journey.

    Pro Clubs
    Pro clubs has a little bit of a cult following. I’ll be honest, I don’t see the appeal. However, there are a lot of players who love the mode, but EA neglect it so much that there isn’t really any point of the game mode being included.

    Others
    There are a bunch of minor modes in Fifa like online seasons and skill moves, however nobody really plays them. The Soundtrack is pretty good, but I think every Fifa game has a good soundtrack. The create a player mode hasn’t changed much and The Women’s football mode still has only 2 uses; play as them in Kick off and play a women’s international tournament.

    Conclusion
    Even though I think this the best FIFA since FIFA 15, it is still a colossal failure. Just play PES 2020.

FUT requires tons of micro transactions to even compete on the lowest of levels, so unless you have a lot of your parents money at disposal, good luck on winning one game against some kid who plays for 5 hours a day. This is a rent only, unless you have a die-hard group of Fifa friends that know how to play the right way, otherwise this game is just constant frustration and a reminder of how shi**y now a day adolescents are.… Expand

Stupid AI, out of position, specially in defense, a lot easier to play against the CPU ultimate compares to last years professional. Still not a huge rework of career mode and pro clubs which both are largely needed. Volta nothing like the streets games we love.

    I've bought every FIFA since 06 to 19, but not buying this one, 5 hours in the ea access, and the rest ill just use up for some pro clubs. I'd rather continue my 19 carreers and still booting up the ps3 for some street action.     So when they were on the right path (The Journey was an awesome idea) they killed it and introduced Volta which is useless, repetitive, boring and pointless. Despite the huge advertising EA did, Career mode is still full with bugs and is the same since 4/5 years. If you dont give a **** about UT like I do then it's a NO GO

    A slower pace that to me is good. Nevertheless handicap is still there and to be honest, it always will be. Pay to win is stronger/clearer than ever. So in conclusion, same Fifa we get used to.

    Volta (street football) is horrible boring.
    As always many activities in FUT make this game not so bad despite not very interesting gameplay and scripting moments.

    The gameplay is much improved, however that means nothing when the career mode is a buggy mess that is difficult sometimes to even load into, let alone enjoy. Very disappointing, another year of the same issues.

    I'm sorry but PES is better this year, more leagues, more teams, actually has the Juventus logo, the ultimate team in pes actually rewards you and doesn't require you to spend money, the gameplay is fast and you feel like you actually make a impact. Also this is the opposite for FIFA 20. The only thing good about FIFA 20 is Volta but it's not worth 60 bucks

If you try to play in a different way than the game wants you to, you will be very frustrated, so it's still a matter of learning what EA wants from you. So, don't use your football intelligence, because you will lose, and your rating will suffer due to either being out of position a lot of the time or passing where a player should be, only to find he stopped his run.

    Gameplay is still shockingly poor, although entertaining at times (on an arcade level). Ball and player physics are unfortunately far too unrealistic. AI players are extremely arbitrary. Sometimes you can run past defenders like they were cones, escpecially as they tend to run over to mark someone else when you run down the middle, whereas in the next game they're rock solid and tackle through you (yes, literally!) to win the ball, or even clear crosses with fab bicycle kicks.

    Honestly, 20 feels like a downgraded version of 19. All the annoyances and errors from last year are still present in ProClubs, only now you have to start over with your Pro. They have even added a new annoyance, in the form of pain-in-the-butt free kicks and penalties. They have also introduced new errors, which will hopefully be ironed out during the next 300 2 gig updates.    … Expand

Truly awful. Endless bugs and flaws that take away any emersion and make this mode unplayable and to be honest an absolute disgrace.     Again all ea sports care about is the extra money with ultimate team.. the only additions to the gameplay seems to be ridiculous tricks. Yet again the people who play offline in career mode have been left with one minor addition (interviews before and after games) had this game 2 days and will probably not play it again.

    The game has definitely taken a step back in my mind. Although the game has a slight more realistic feel when it comes to the pace and style of the game it is ruined by one Werner or Salah run. It does not matter if you set your defense to sit back farther or to pinch in giving away the outside of the field, or vice versa to stay wide giving away the side lines, this game demands the ability to stop every ball into space and you simply cannot. And I know someone is going to read this and blab about how easy it is to solve that and you know?.. good for you guy because I cannot afford to buy the fastest and best CB and I'm definitely not going to throw my money away for EA.

    More importantly they have once again done almost nothing to fix the career mode as many of these other reviews say. None of us care about the press conferences or the ability to change what our manager looks like. While they are nice added touches its like not a single person has ever read any complaints.

    The one thing that I think I will disagree on with many players is the pro clubs. Most people like the changes that were made here but I have to say I think its cheap to just give everyone an 80 to start off. Not that having to start in the high 60s was that desirable back in fifa 12 or 13 but it was for sure better than having to put in no work at all.

    Basically, the game is 1000% geared towards those that are willing to throw away money and do not want to put work into the game like they used to. I hope that pisses people off but I know there are some older players out there that agree with me.    … Expand

Seems like if both of the players are approximately at the same level, the rebounds will decide the final outcome. Other horrible thing to mention is the heading mechanic. If they would fix all the stupid and scripted things then this game would have been the best yet.     Don’t enjoy gameplay, engine isn’t great for FIFA , very aimed towards pay to win however it probably has never been easier to get better players with sbcs and rewards at times however some of the requirements for squad builders are baffling . Never improve enough stuff on pro clubs or career mode.

    Fifa 20 is probably the worst Fifa of all time and it deserves every bit of hate. The only reason why i won't give this a zero is because of the great ultimate team content. The gameplay is absolutely dreadful. At least you can still have fun with your friends but not because the gameplay is good, no , just because they are ur friends and its fun playing with them.

    I love football games.. I bought this one discounted PS4, and received the Xbox copy as a gift the following week. And I had to fake being happy and say thank you. I had to fake being happy only because the game, and it's mechanics (and all the micro transactions) were a huge turn off.

    Please spend your money on games that are worth the money and time you spend.

    Ball control and passing is significantly harder this year. Instead of being a game where someone with little experience can pick up the controller and score some nice looking ,and well crafted, goals. You will find yourself asking "what, how did that happen?" On a positive note, the new Volta football is very nice addition to the game.

    Look away from FIFA 20. It's really not worth your money, time or storage space on your Playstation, Xbox or Switch.    … Expand

They are basically charging 60$ for updates, not to mention the pay-to-win microtransactions and lootboxes that ruin any kind of skill, effort based progression.     Juego exclusivamente al modo carrera, así que para que el juego sea un poco más realista modifico los sliders... y si el juego está roto de por si al modificar los sliders es imposible jugar. A eso hay que sumarle el Handicap (momentum).
    No lo recomiendo para nada.

I also rage quit every other game over the bad keeper movement and sheer amount of mistakes the keepers make. Every game a goal is scored against me from a keeper bounce back after a save. This has gotten worse since last year. I think I might consider quitting this game for good. It seems ea could learn a thing or two from Konami these days.     Liverpool players are too good to be real which makes everyone choose Liverpool in online mode.
    It seemed like Im playing against superhumans. and the defense system is very very very bad!

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.

    The new Volta mode is loads of fun, especially with some mates. But the overall FIFA experience is starting to creak, despite an impressive array of bells and whistles.
