    I'm sorry ea, this year u make 3 step back, I don't care about licenses, I care about gameplay, the speed of the game is high, the pass, the shot, the movement, just to fast. .. we are in 2019 almost and instead to get close to real football, we getting an arcade game, where there is no way to build a proper counter attack or everything else.     Some minor tweaks have been made. None of the bigger issues seems to be fixed - buggy referees, Kickoff-Glitch and 45min-Glitch are all still here. Along with a host of new bugs. Its disappointing that an update that cost the same as a full AAA-title introduces more bugs than it fixes.

    this game has become like a free 2 play game but with a 60 $ price tag ... the only changes are in EA's cash cow i.e. the FUT mode ... the career mode hasn't seen any changes for literally years .. **** EA

    Awful and pathetic for a real life simulation to become so backward! The technicality you could hope for is in a state of regression, most team have similar play style, the graphics have regressed
    Moreover if I wanted to gamble i would go to a casino not on a virtual game (=FUT)

    I normally disagree with the User scores on meta critic but they are spot on with this review. Honestly besides fancy new menus and the Champions League license there is hardly any difference between this years and last years. It's a tired game and I've had enough of this series.     I think my biggest gripe with FIFA 19, lack of invention aside, is their "half-assed" attempt at making the game feel more realistic, yet again. I would appreciate more realistic collision physics, if it was actually realistic - In FIFA 19, it's nothing but a gimmick that makes the game unnecessarily frustrating, at times. You can often get away with rugby fouling players in this game,I think my biggest gripe with FIFA 19, lack of invention aside, is their "half-assed" attempt at making the game feel more realistic, yet again. I would appreciate more realistic collision physics, if it was actually realistic - In FIFA 19, it's nothing but a gimmick that makes the game unnecessarily frustrating, at times. You can often get away with rugby fouling players in this game, just because. This new emphasis on "more realistic" take downs and first touches also feels really flawed and lacking in it's execution. I, for one, rarely see professional players insist on taking two, three touches on the ball when they receive it in stressing situations where they need to release it quickly, and even the most skillful of players are prone to awkwardly receiving the ball in such a way that it bounces away and gets intercepted by an opponent player that's not burdened by ironically unrealistic animations that you get locked to, as the player receiving the ball. Another thing is player switching when you're playing co-op. This feature should have been improved years ago, if not a decade ago. Not only have they not improved on it, but it seems to be worse in FIFA 19 compared to past iterations in the franchise. Surely, it's possible to create a different algorithm that makes this feature more intuitive and effective?

    This version of The Journey has had a few small improvements added to it, but it's probably exactly what you expected it to be like. If you like it in past games, you'll enjoy this one as well. Nothing revolutionary here, except for allowing the player to pick and play through the careers of Alex Hunter, his sister, Kim, and Danny Williams. Overall, it's a typical, new FIFA release, with largely insignificant updates outside of Ultimate Team. In terms of gameplay, my personal impression is that FIFA 19 is slightly more slow paced than FIFA 18, and slightly more frustrating to play, due to these new features that emphasize "realism", but adds little more than a larger margin for error that occurs much more frequently in the game, than it does in real life - this seems to be a trend in their realism features. As usual, the menus look slick and stylish, and the soundtrack has a few of those classic, bangers that stick to your mind after you've logged out of the game.    … Expand

Каждый год в режиме FUT проблемы которые не исправляются! Счёт в онлайн матчах 5-4, 3-4, в Канаде видимо футбол не смотрят 1-0 вполне нормальных счёт в футболе, но в FIFA 18 и FIFA 19 такого резултата в онлайн матчах вы не увидите. FIFA 19 это не игра, это обман и вытягивание денег, скрипты и голы на 45 и 90
    минутах игры. Игра очень плохая и я настоятельно не рекомендую играть в FIFA 19, покупать FIFA 19 и рекомендовать её другим. Плохая игра 0 из 10.

The score in online matches is 5-4, 3-4, in Canada, apparently, football does not look 1-0 completely normal in football, but in FIFA 18 and FIFA 19 such results in online matches you will not see.     Yes the game-play is    Here we go again, let me start by saying I have been playing FIFA since 1994 ( yeah i know i'm old). And like a lot of others out here I used to love to play Career Mode, now i cant stand it, it reminds me of the huge mistake i made in paying €60,- for a new skin and player roster. And i can't even blame EA anymore this has been the same story since 2012.

    Yes the game-play is potentially better than last year but it is so unbelievably unbalanced that i find it a chore to play, the ball feels like a rubber bouncing ball, everyone online is an excellent blocker of passes, shots and crosses and no FIFA 19 match is complete without a bicycle kick in the top corner.

    My friend found a "new tactic" to help him defend better, he explained he doesn't select the defenders.... sooo he doesn't defend the AI defends for him. I'm sorry but that cannot be the point of a competitive video game. I don't play FUT because i don't like pay to win games nor do i like companies that manipulate children to gamble.

    Career mode is like i said not touched since FIFA 2012 with exception of the board objectives that do not really do anything and transfer cut-scenes with the same 4 generic managers in every negotiation.
    Interaction with the FIFA Career World is basically 0. Haven't done a press conference since 2013 when they were the same as they are now and completely without impact on your team.
    Can only interact with players in the form of playing them in the team or not.

    Online seasons last year was basically Online Real Madrid seasons with 90% of the players playing with OP Madrid and this year PSG has taken their place.

    Momentum is more stormy then ever. When you get to a super dominant 2-0 lead your team will stop playing basically and if your opponent scores the 2-1 before the half time break they will win 2-3 most of the time.

    Goals from kick offs are back with a vengeance, EA said they took care of it in FIFA 18 but apparently they missed it and got it back.

    The graphics look better but we can expect that every year. CL and EL are very nice additions. The new kickoff and player stats system in kick off mode are perfect for keeping the score with friends and also a nice feature.

    Overall i have got give it a 4 because i still think they game has potential to have great game-play. ( if it gets more balanced over time). But the lack of new features and the super thin Career Mode, untouched Pro player/clubs and uninteresting The Journey make this years version a better not buy until it is balanced somewhere in march 2019.    … Expand

    The worst FIFA I've played since FIFA 2000. The ball is lost very easy, the way of playing is very complex. It's a game that is supposed to be for fun, but no, it's just the opposite. It's frustrating. If I could return it and get my money back, I would gladly do it. In my case, it's the last FIFA I play and buy.

The game FAILS to provide real football simulation so the only way it has to increase the difficulty is to use SCRIPTED moments where even the worst teams will play like Barcelona and score an unrealistic goal...Gameplay is pathetic.     2. Passing is very very slow. One touch quick passing is difficult. I need to press the pass button way before the ball reaches a players foot in order to execute a one touch pass. Many offensive quick plays are killed off because of a player taking so much time to pass. i.e. time to receive the ball , adjust the position and then pass, rather immediately executing a one touch pass.

    3. Reaction to any command button is very slow. Eg. A player will take a second to respond to a trick command making the defender always faster to steal the ball before the offense executes the trick . Eg. delayed response to one time passing as in point (2).

    4. Bicycle kicks. Overpowered, overexecuted, unrealistic.

    5. Fast Breaks: Even if the offensive player is all alone approaching the keeper, the defender is very much likely to catch him and kill off the chance...

    Overall,
    Apart from the major issues mentioned above, Fifa 19 is more realistic than Fifa 18 but less entertaining. Fifa 18 was addictive, was fun, kept my friends and myself on our toes focused and excited during the game. Fifa 19 is slow and unentertaining.
    While Fifa has been trying to make the game as realistic as possible, it needs to keep in mind that, at the end of the day, this is a video game. It can't replicate a 90minute game in a typical 12 min video game match.
    Making finishing very hard, making scoring and creating chances as well as other initiatives in the attempt to make the game more realistic, is killing the entertainment in the game

    A division 1 player should clearly look better in gameplay than a division 4-5.
    In fifa 19, the gameplay is so tight and restricted that you can hardly distinguish a division 1 player from a division 5. Again, this kills entertainment and competition between fifa players.

    PS. Its known that FIFA players would hardly admit that another FIFA player is better than them. In FIFA 19, the game is limited in its offensive options and is almost impossible to come across as the better FIFA player than your friends    … Expand

    This game is a mess in so many ways, and I really tried to like it and be as objective as possible, I buy FIFA every year on my Xbox 360 before and now on my PS4, but this one is horrible.
    ONLY some of the problems: 1) Gameplay is the worst. It's very unrealistic, unresponsive, lags, messed up. 2) Ultimate    I created this account just to review this game: WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER!
    This game is a mess in so many ways, and I really tried to like it and be as objective as possible, I buy FIFA every year on my Xbox 360 before and now on my PS4, but this one is horrible.
    ONLY some of the problems:
    1) Gameplay is the worst. It's very unrealistic, unresponsive, lags, messed up.

    2) Ultimate Team: So much lag when playing online or on the transfer market buying players/things it's unbelievable. And it's not my connection problem, I play Call of Duty or other games with no issues online.
    In Ultimate Team, there a thing called "Input Lag", you press a button and your player doesn't do anything for 1.5 or 3 seconds, only AFTER 1.5-3 seconds your player does what you wanted.

    3) So unrealistic. Player stats are all messed up. You can take any random defender or player such as Masiello for example and he will run as fast as Cristiano Ronaldo! and then push him using physique and steal the ball.

    4) Online. A disaster! When connecting I have 5 green bars for maximum latency, but as soon as the game starts it's unbelievable lag.

    5) Often players just freeze as if the game froze, and something weird happens: Like the ball hits the bar, bounces upin the sky, comes back down to hit the bar, then sky again, comes back down to hit my goalkeeper in the head and go into the goal.

    ANYWAY there is just sooo many issues, that make this game simply unplayable, a complete disaster and embarrassment if compared to FIFA 18 or other. The game is just not fun anymore.    … Expand

    In LootCrate19 you can play as your favorite Ronaldo as you have the past five years running. The only major change you'll have to endure is the color of his jersey. EA is pretty much the worst, will never buy another game from them.

    EA really need to stop neglecting other game modes other than Ultimate Team, especially in the single player mode (No, The Journey is not good enough).

    I've never been the one for Ultimate Team, which really has a negative effect on me as a FIFA player. This year I have finally lost my patience with EA and they need to stop giving games a paint job and slapping a new title on them. Career mode has not changed at all, apart from some new UEFA graphics and small news videos it is identical.

    Player Career mode hasn't been updated in years, The Journey is simply not good enough. There is so many things from The Journey that could be implemented into Player Career mode, but EA choose to ignore it as it doesn't make them more money.

    Another popular game mode, Pro Clubs, fails yet again to see an update.    … Expand

    Worst FIFA ever!. This game(play) is so scripted It is nausea inducing. Ea has since introduced Frostbite not developed (110% stalemate). The way they treat Career mode is degrading to all users. Do yourself a favor and avoid the game, it has nothing to do with football. EA a company that obviously only thinks of profit, and as long as we buy it, they do not change.

    I would describe myself as an avid fan of football games, and over the last 20 years have owned nearly all Fifa's and have spent many many hours playing them, however Fifa 19 in my opinion is the worse in the franchise since fifa 64, visually it's fantastic the presentation and graphics are second to none especially with the inclusion of CL and Europa League licensing.

    But that's where    I would describe myself as an avid fan of football games, and over the last 20 years have owned nearly all Fifa's and have spent many many hours playing them, however Fifa 19 in my opinion is the worse in the franchise since fifa 64, visually it's fantastic the presentation and graphics are second to none especially with the inclusion of CL and Europa League licensing.

    But that's where it ends, on the pitch where the game truly matters or to me should do it's found wanting, gameplay is unrealistic to say the least, the ball shoots around like a pinball, including hitting the post or crossbar 5 times a match if not more ,the Goalkeepers AI makes Massimo Taribi look like a world beater at times and 50/50's are about as effective as a chocolate teapot, there are so many other areas of the gameplay as well that it feels like an unfinished game (FYI I've spent about 25 hours playing this on my own and with others).

    If the above still leaves you undecided this might help, the Fifa franchise to EA sports is now quite clearly developed to be its cash cow, Ultimate Team which generates huge revenue for EA has been revamped but all other modes in my opinion have fallen to the waste side, an example of this is the career mode which has had no changes at all except everything now has a tinge of blue and the champions league music is in the game due to the new licenses.

    So in a summary, Fifa 19 is a repackaged Fifa 18 with poorer gameplay, lack of game updates especially career mode where there are none and slightly improved graphics    … Expand

    Very disappointing right from the off. No improvement on career mode - EXACTLY the same as last year. No idea what EA are playing at but this needs to stop. Their full focus on loot packs targeting kids is disgraceful!

    Graphics and its attention to detail is fantastic, hense why i have given it a 1. But sadly thats where it ends.
    I buy this game in the hopes they will rectify the issues that have plagued their last 2 games and i will admit some aspects are better... heres a list of cons . Tackling- better than 18, imo... but still leaves alot to be    This game has the potential to be fantastic.

    I buy this game in the hopes they will rectify the issues that have plagued their last 2 games and i will admit some aspects are better... heres a list of cons

    . Tackling- better than 18, imo... but still leaves alot to be desired. I tend to find half the time my player will make the tackle and the ball will just end up at the feet of an opponent... this isnt desirable when your defending. Or you will just foul either or

    . The icon above the players to switch players is terrible,most times it will go to a player behind the person with the ball, useless. Or the other direction that your player is running away from the player with the ball

    . The fact your players are horribly slow at reacting and just turning,they have the turning circle of a bus

    . Your defenders cannot catch their attackers, but somehow their defenders are like the flash, and catch your attackers racing towards goal

    . Heading is terrible, most of the time, you dont get anywhere, even in a defending situation

    . Pretty much just the double standards, you will foul, and you will get carded. They will do the same thing, and nothing

    . They will kick the ball with ease, from one side of the pitch to the other. But you have no chance of doing the same thing

    Sometimes you will pull off the perfect pass, to a player in some space. Other times you will pass straight to an opponent

    . Passes tend to always go to the wrong player, you have one player running into space, and another covered with defenders, but you will pass to the one with defenders everywhere

    In short, do not buy this game.... you will get so fustrated you will smash more controllers than you wish lol    … Expand

    Never played FUT before, so I decided to give it a try. Grind through the weekly challenges to get some packs, open those and realize there is not a single player you care for. rinse and repeat. Squad builder is even worse. Every reward pack I have got contains worse players, than the ones I exchanged. Disclaimer - There is less than 1 percent chance I will rate this game above 3

    In the normal game the player that players better wins but in fifa 19 its exacly the opposite, the game makes your players play bad and the other team op. Doenst matter if u are winning 2 or 3 to 0 because u can tell if you are going to lose, u fell the difference. Also the physics are the worst ever.

    Attacking is also equally difficult largely in part to changes in pace mechanics and passing mechanics which is a double edged sword. I get nerfing pace but in reality if I slip a through ball to a 90 odd pace player I do not expect him to be caught as easily as they will be caught in this game.

    Passing is a frustrating affair also with how pressure works in this game (It actually does work and you will be pressed hard) any erroneous pass will result in devastating counter attacks but while most of the time it was mostly my error, the trapping and lack of urgency when moving the ball quickly just makes simple A passes lead to the opponent countering.

    Creating chances is harder also but the lack of movement honestly kills me at times when trying to maintain possession you will have to keep the ball for an extraordinary amount of time before somehow one of the players decides to make a run through a defence to set up an opportunity. There's just no real flow.

    Deflections and bounces are varying degrees of unfair from mildly frustrating to controller snapping rageaholic. Whenever attempting some form of tackle the ball just bounces around and will end up in a dangerous position and it makes no sense, I hate the fact we have to charge a tackle, just tackle the ball and get it away not let it bounce several times and the opponents forward simply just rugby charge through my defenders to get the ball and score. That is not football.

    Ultimately the reviews before you speak for themselves. The lack of changes to Pro Clubs and Career Mode is shambolic and I completely agree on that front but I have to talk gameplay wise and its frustrating.

    Thats all it is, its frustrating you will get frustrated to no end because every time you lose you will find several key moments where you ask yourself "What more could I of done?" and 9/10 the answer is nothing, its just bad luck and thats not good.

    I mean the fact that this will be a eSports game is laughable.    … Expand

Career mode has not changed other than they got champions league. What a new color scheme for it and got some new commentators.     No one cares about the Journey - stop wasting time on it.
    Focus on Pro Clubs and Career mode.
    This year is the first year I've bought Pro Evo instead of FIFA since the ps2 days. Pro Evo feels so much better than FIFA that it'll take hard work from EA to win me back. Unless they improve I won't buy FIFA again.

    If you feel like you have no actual control over a game why would you be playin it right?
    Offline is playable but not fun anymore because they did nothing to give us a better career mode
    Overall what they did was give some additions like they timed shot and better animations, nothing more script still on and stronger than ever since FIFA 15.
    I recommend EA to put some work into the gameplay and career mode cause the online content is already perfect, FIFA 19 just shows that many people stopped buying copies because of FIFA 18.    … Expand

    On the game page it reads 'Positive: 24 Mixed: 16 Negative: 165'
    On this page it reads 'Positive: 74 Mixed: 33 Negative: 540'

    The critic reviews don't change from page to page.
    The same is evident on the Xbox, PC, pages etc.

    Why? Who is paying you what to do this? How can this review site be trusted?

    19 years, the advancement from EA Sports Games '00 to '19 is embarrassing. Even modes like "franchise" or "gm" have actually reduced features in recent releases.

    EA is successful based on licensing rights and pay to play gimmicks like Ultimate Team (which can be addictive). EA is not successful because of game play, they are successful in spite of poor game play.

    After spending a lot of money and time building up my team in FUT 19, only to experience a lack of consistency from game to game in how my top rated players behave and react on the pitch, all I can do is hang my head in shame that I was suckered into buying another EA game.

    And it's not a lack of chemistry or fitness or lag. It's likely due to FUT handicapping or something like that which creates the inconsistent experience. Other posters have noted that when playing against the AI in more difficult modes the AI doesn't get smarter, the game makes your players worse, it decreases your players stats and ability.

    Simply put, games should be fun to play. EA Sports Games are not. I'll be exchanging FIFA 19 today for any game that is not developed by EA.    … Expand

    It's only a DLC with features changes who nobody ask for. Graphics are poor yet, with no changes. I love 2vs2 cooperative mode. The last year EA removed cups and you can't see your thropies with no reason to remove it. The new licences looks like only a commercial strategy for taking advantage of Konami, but it doesn't for giving a better experience to its customers.

You are leading with 1-2 goals -> your attack stops playing -> on 75min your defence stops playing -> joystick player easily scores 2 goals -> the match lost. That's unbearable. I was playin Fifa since 2004, but I think that would be the last.

FUT is simply not a mode about skills but a mode you pay to win. I can only say EA is EXTREMELY CREATIVE when it comes to milking players' money. Online mode feels really inconsistent (here comes the old scripting/momentum issue) - with the same team of players, sometimes they all play like Messi and Ronaldo, another day they might be as sluggish as an oil tanker (sorry oil tankers). I doubt FIFA would impress any player at all and the critics ratings are just a joke. 100% would not recommend anyone buying this game, even if it's on sale. Really hope EA can improve things for FIFA 20 but I doubt that would be the case… Expand

    I play Fifa regularly since Fifa 12 and I can say without a doubt that this is the WORST game of the franchise. Lousy controls, horrible gameplay. Every game seems like a bad match between 2 bad teams. I'm really sad to see how EA has ruined my best PS4 franchise. So sad.

    With initial excitement having died down a few months after the game's release, FIFA 19 stands exposed for what it is: another recycled iteration of a franchise that sorely needs refreshing. Both off the pitch and on it, FIFA 19 is a hollow experience, yet another broken promise and a slap in the face of what we have come to expect from good game development. To truly compete in the gaming arena, FIFA must lace its boots and pull up its socks if it is to achieve what it too lazily sets out to each year.
