    As a PES and FIFA fan I will honestly say this is the best FIFA they've ever made. Below, I'll list off things they did right and things that need to improve.

    Positives+ +Controls are more responsive and fluid than in previous games. +More licenses making the presentation even better. +Improved physics (IMO the ball in FIFA 17 bounced around way too much, it's like they were kicking    As a PES and FIFA fan I will honestly say this is the best FIFA they've ever made. Below, I'll list off things they did right and things that need to improve.

    Positives+
    +Controls are more responsive and fluid than in previous games.
    +More licenses making the presentation even better.
    +Improved physics (IMO the ball in FIFA 17 bounced around way too much, it's like they were kicking around a beach ball).
    +Career mode sees some much needed improvements.
    +Graphics look great as always.
    +Cristiano Ronaldo's run and movements are spot on (even though you can really only notice it with him and nobody else.
    +The game feels much more random and less is determined by scripted animations that take too long to complete and ultimately detract from the gameplay (if you've played PES then you know what I'm talking about and it's about time FIFA pulled this off.

    Negatives-
    -Gameplay is improved, but it's not even close to PES 2018.
    -Goalkeepers are the worst I've seen in FIFA ever. They regularly miss saves they should make and other times they just won't even be close to the ball. This needs to be fixed in a patch.
    -The transfer negotiation cut scenes in career mode are a nice addition, but they get old really fast and you just end up skipping them after a few times of watching them.
    -Huge emphasis on attacking. Combined with terrible goal keepers, games are very high scoring this year. One my games against Real Madrid ended Chelsea 7-2 Real Madrid (career mode pre season tournament). It detracts from the immersion when game after game ends 5-1 7-2 5-3 etc.

    I still give the game an 8 because it is better than FIFA 17 and is still fun to play despite all the negatives. I will say with honesty that PES is the better game. If you can get both, then get both, if you're only getting one, then go with PES, download the option files and you're good.    … Expand

    This game is another GREAT one. It deserves a 9/10 upwards.I would recommend it for anyone that has been following the FIFA franchise. Worth the buy..

    I rated last year's game an 8 & this one is almost the same game, just more biased towards the attacking team. If you're gonna ask for my money again you've got to make it more worthwhile than this (only upgraded so I can keep playing against my bro/mates)

    Another year, another FIFA. Despite minor improvements, they have refined the predecessor to a very high level. The Journey is awesome and graphics/gameplay are stunning.

    best FIFA so far. it could be better if they provide more options in offline modes (champions league etc.) rather then improving money trap FUT modes.. Apart from that everything is good: online mode is great comparing to PES and graphs are amazing.

    JOGABILIDADE - A jogabilidade está parecida com o seu jogo antecessor, porém, mais cadenciado. O sistema de passes, chutes e defesa são bem planejados, mas é nesse ponto que os bugs    FIFA 18 apresentou várias mudanças comparado ao seu antecessor, um dos melhores da série nessa geração, mas peca na quantidade de bugs e nas microtransações (como de costume) no modo Ultimate Team

    JOGABILIDADE - A jogabilidade está parecida com o seu jogo antecessor, porém, mais cadenciado. O sistema de passes, chutes e defesa são bem planejados, mas é nesse ponto que os bugs atrapalham, os passes são extremamente bugados, várias vezes o jogador se ve mirando o analógico pra passar a bola pra um jogador, mas a IA toca a bola pra outro, ou faz um passe extremamente ridículo. Muitas vezes os ''stats'' dos jogadores não correspondem dentro do jogo, por exemplo, o jogador (Ozil) tem stats de passe muito bom, porém, o jogador erra passes extremamente ''fáceis'' de se realizar (isso vale pros chutes também). No geral, a jogabilidade é boa, mas os bugs muitas vezes estragam a diversão durante a partida.

    MODOS DE JOGO - O Modo carreira apresentou diversas mudanças no sistema de compra e venda de jogadores, agora é possível realizar as propostas de transferências conversando diretamente com o técnico do time e o jogador a ser transferido, onde acontece uma cutscene interativa com as escolhas da proposta da transação.
    O modo jornada melhorou comparado ao FIFA 17, com mais cutscenes e uma história melhor elaborada, porém, como em seu antecessor, em algumas partes chega a ser enjoativo.
    Já no modo Ultimate team, a EA disponibilizou um novo modo chamado ''Squad Battles'', onde se joga várias partidas durante a semana pra se obter uma recompensa em moedas/packs. Oque estraga o modo são as microtransações, os chamados ''FIFA points'' são moedas compradas com dinheiro real pra se abrir packs que contém jogadores, na qual esses packs são muito difíceis comprar com o dinheiro ganho do jogo, devido ao seu preço, ou seja, quem gastar mais dinheiro com o jogo, vai ter um melhor time, aumentando suas chances de vencer as partidas.

    GRÁFICOS - Os gráficos estão muito bonitos, as expressão facial dos jogadores mais conhecidos, como Cristiano Ronaldo e Messi, está excelente, já de jogadores não tão populares assim, tal expressão não é tão bem feita. A torcid a cada fifa fica cada vez melhor, deixando o jogo mais realista a cada versão

    FIFA 18 é um bom jogo de futebol, apresenta uma boa jogabilidade, seus modos de jogo são divertidos e apresentou várias inovações, porém, a quantidade de bugs e as microtransações surreais estragam parte da experiencia, dessa forma, fazendo vários players desistirem de jogar o game.    … Expand

    Mucho mejor que el Fifa 17, más completo y con un gameplay más dinámico, pero obviamente igual de básico. Personalmente lo encuentro más agradable por sus nuevos trofeos que implican más juego y dedicación.
    Como todos los años, la personalización del juego es una basura y da mucha pena.

I loved the career mode, it is my favorite in the game now! I enjoyed creating my own character and playing him in a team of my choice.     BUENO: La vida de los estadios a mejorado mucho, los hinchas ya no son pixelados y también se puede interactuar con ellos cuando celebramos un gol. El modo camino a mejorado mucho y nos da una historia bastante entretenida, que simula bien al de un futbolista real. El modo carrera ha mejorado un poco gracias a las cinemáticas cuando fichamos a alguien o cuando hacemos un fichaje poner unBUENO: La vida de los estadios a mejorado mucho, los hinchas ya no son pixelados y también se puede interactuar con ellos cuando celebramos un gol. El modo carrera ha mejorado un poco gracias a las cinemáticas cuando fichamos a alguien o cuando hacemos un fichaje poner un gif de la rueda de prensa del jugador que has fichado.

    MALO: La defensa ha empeorado, se adelanta mucho las líneas y aunque pongas poner el autobús, igualmente se adelantan mucho y esto provoca que te puedan ganar muchas veces las espaldas.
    No hay suficientes estadios, la liga española es un ejemplo, solo está el Santiago Bernabéu y el Wanda Metropolitano. Se que el FCBarcelona no tiene el camp nou por derechos, pero el San Mamés?? Sanchez Pijuan??? o el Mestalla??? estadios europeos que no están en este fifa y encima que tiene la licencia de la LaLiga Santander. El camino tiene cosas buenas, pero, también cosas malas. El camino dispone de solo 6 equipos para que el jugador que controles (Alex Hunter) pueda jugar, quiero decir que solo puede jugar en esos equipos, y no dispone de más. Tiene una apartado de personalización muy limitado.

    Conclusión: Si amas el fútbol como yo este juego te puede gustar, ahora bien si eres una persona que solo juega por jugar, este juego no te va gustar. Mi opinión es que me ha encantado como está vivo los estadios y también los marcadores de las ligas oficiales....hasta ahí bien, pero a la hora de jugar es un poco mierda...como defender en este fifa es una porquería y hay jugadores que tienen una media super alta y son unos jugadores que no son para tanto, y jugadores que son geniales en la realidad y le ponen medias super bajas. También quiero dejar claro que este juego hay equipos muy chetados, pero hay uno en especial que es Real Madrid. En mi opinión me está bien que porqué la temporada pasada han ganado casi todo los jugadores sean mejorados, pero no tenían que haber puesto que si un jugador es lento como el Nacho en la realidad, gane en el fifa a un felipe luis, y cristiano porque sea la portada no tiene que ser más bueno que messi, y hablando de messi en este fifa es más surrealista, no puede ser que solo regate a uno y despues ya esta no puede regatear mas o que un medio que no tiene nada de fuerza, le gana en cuerpo, es como el cristiano también es surrealista pero a lo bueno, es decir esta chetado los tiros,los regates,fuerza y ha messi nada le bajan, y también pierde muchos balones, es increíble. El camino me a gustado es muy interactivo aunque solo sean 6 equipos pero te pones la piel de un futbolista y si te gusta el futbol te gustara mucho, aparte que también se puede personalizar a Alex Hunter. El modo carrera también a mejorado por el aspecto de poner cinemáticas, lo hace mas realista, pero necesita más personalización. Online tambien es muy vicioso, pero ultimate team no a cambiado mucho es lo mismo que el año, pero bueno si funciona se puede dejar tal y como esta, pero aun sigue con el mercado de fifa points, me da una rabia ahora estos años de videojuegos que pongas micropagos a juegos....la industria se va a la mierda....

    bueno en conclusión no es recomendado a los que solo juega por jugar.
    No estamos a un fifa de la ostia, le falta personalización, mejora de la defensa, mejora del camino, i ser mas realista con jugadores    … Expand

    Good game, enjoying it much more than I did FIFA 17. Always loved football games but I would love to see some more improvements to career mode. Maybe a bit more efforts to make you hyped to be a footballer again instead of the same slightly improved game every year.

    If you’re a fan of the game series like I am then you will be more than satisfied with the new additions. If you’re picking up the game for the first time ever then welcome to the party! This may be the best edition yet, with so much to do and finally consistency across platforms so no one feels left out. EA, you have listened to your customers and I thank you for that.

Very fluid gameplay, although still too fast, loads of animations, especially on the dribble. Journey still rocks, that is impressive. Negative aspects are lack of face-scans, some pay to win stuff is still in the UT, but at the end of the day no one is forced toIn my case, or review, I respect everybody's decision and grade.     Once you find the best settings to make the GK better and more realistic, slow down the game and passing, (both for you and the AI) the gameplay is very satisfying.

    Graphics and presentation are very good, commentaries could be improved.

    There is a good variety of teams to play with, however national teams such as Croatia, Japan, Korea, Iran, Bosnia, Ukraine, Nigeria, and Costa Rica should all be in the game, even as generic it would be better than nothing. We could use a few more clubs (two major Brazilian clubs are missing due to licensing, and a few clubs playing European cups are also missing).

    An edit/import teams mode would be a nice addition. FIFA had the creation center and I don't understand what they got rid of it.

    We definitely could also use more stadiums, EA lost the FC Barcelona's Camp Nou last year, this year tno more Dortmund's impressive stadium. That's quite annoying. Adding an MLS stadium (LA Galaxy) shouldn't be a priority over Napoli's stadium, or Feyenoord, Galatasaray, Maracana, Lyon, Benfica, Celtic and many others.

    Game modes didn't change much from last year which is probably not a bad thing, the journey is back so if you enjoyed it in FIFA 17 that's good news for you. I mostly play offline and manager/career mode so I won't review modes such as Ultimate Team.
    The career mode (as a manager) is good but needs new features other than cut scenes, and to fix some things EA got wrong for years. There are for example too many big transfers made by the computer, players attributes start decreasing way too soon (sometimes before they hit 30 years old!).

    I understand how someone can dislike FIFA 18 just like I gave an honest chance to PES 2018 and didn't enjoy it at all, but the fact you struggle to defend and you don't change the settings and sliders to try different things doesn't deserve a ZERO.
    EA Sports game are mostly arcade, many kids who play sports games now only care about ultimate team, speed, scoring a ton of goals, winning games online...that's okay different generation, things change...Fortunately you can make it what you like (more of a simulation) and have a lot of fun.

    I am not a "fanboy", I earn my money and I think twice before I put so much money in a video game. While this game could be much better and I regret EA doesn't seem to care about certain things, overall it's a very good football/soccer game, whether you want to play it arcade, simulation, online, or offline.    … Expand

    This is an awesome upgrade from FIFA 17 and this is coming from a fan who has been playing fifa since 2006. The animation looks much better, the gameplay smoother though still not perfect. The journey adds alot to the game and this time is even better than FIFA 17. Love the fact that we can have transfer talk animation in manager mode.     I am playing fifa since fifa 2000 , every edition , and I can honestly tell You that this is one of the best FIFA games ever if not THE BEST , people that are disliking it are for sure just very bad frustrated players . this game just entered another level , of course there are few things that needs to be fixed but overall the gameplay is very good comparing to previous editions

    Best Fifa so far. Pack luck is insane this year compared to the other Fifa's and the Journey has a great story this year. The defense and crossing is also new and improved.

    I Love this game!! When I was gonna install this game I thought it was gonna be bad but it is fantastic! Ultimate team,seasons,pro clubs are working perfectly Great game ea I love you so much!!! ☺️ BTW It Is So Addictive I Cant Stop Playing It!!!

    The game is very good. The vr, the graphics and all the games mods are excellent. But in FUT the squad battles and the online are strange, because even if the other has all teh players in wrong positions and with no chemistry, the play very well.

    EA has done a lot of bad things and that is still haunting them. All those negative reviews appear to be based on no actual experience with this very game. I dont have the problem that my players cant connect with a pass, i dont have a problem with stealing a ball from a superstar player.     The story is good and immersing. Graphics are awesome. I am pretty much hooked to the Ultimate team. And playing one on one with friends is always great.

    There are a lot of bad reviews about this game but most of them are pissed that there are hardly any changes from the last FIFA edition. But if you look at the game from a holistic point of view, FIFA gameplay has come a long way. I    The story is good and immersing. Graphics are awesome. I am pretty much hooked to the Ultimate team. And playing one on one with friends is always great.

    There are a lot of bad reviews about this game but most of them are pissed that there are hardly any changes from the last FIFA edition. But if you look at the game from a holistic point of view, FIFA gameplay has come a long way. I have played FIFA 02 to FIFA 18 and trust me....this is one of the better versions of FIFA    … Expand

    é um jogo que no seu marketing prometeu muito e entregou parte, não houve tanta mudança na gameplay, os gráficos estão bonitos mas não estão lindos como prometeram, o modo the journey vem com mais recursos porém sua historia é bem abaixo da do fifa 17, o modo carreira de jogador continua a mesma coisa então é pouco atrativo, o modo carreira manager vem bem modificado, atrai bastante e daé um jogo que no seu marketing prometeu muito e entregou parte, não houve tanta mudança na gameplay, os gráficos estão bonitos mas não estão lindos como prometeram, o modo the journey vem com mais recursos porém sua historia é bem abaixo da do fifa 17, o modo carreira de jogador continua a mesma coisa então é pouco atrativo, o modo carreira manager vem bem modificado, atrai bastante e da para gastar muito tempo nele, talvez o que estragou um pouco a experiencia com o fifa 18 foi a hype que criaram em cima dele.… Expand

    I really enjoy this game although it has one rather substantial defect. Sometimes, I will be playing a game of the ol' footy and I will be leading by a goal or two. And I'll be really happy and enjoying myself. And then the opposing team will score a few goals, and then they'll be leading by a goal or two. And then I'll be really unhappy and not enjoying myself. If it's some kind ofI really enjoy this game although it has one rather substantial defect. Sometimes, I will be playing a game of the ol' footy and I will be leading by a goal or two. The graphics suck, I see barely any change from its predecessors.

    I only played online, but defending is a mess - AI players just stand around as the ball rolls past them to the opponent, teammate contain is useless due to them marking like 3 yards away and not pressing, keepers are retarded and will let in everything shot from within the box. Still can't switch quick tactics when not during active play.

    Most people in online seasons just pick Real Madrid and cheese with Bale and Ronaldo outrunning every defender.

    Attacking consists of mostly luck it seems, as balls either go your way all game or they don't. That's probably the scripting that a lot of reviews on here mention.

    Overall a big let down. I'll check out what 19 is bringing to the table, but i doubt i'll be buying that one either judging by how little improves each year.    … Expand

Instead of just focusing on milking money from FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT), the additions of FIFA WorldFIFA 18 seems to be a return to form for this series. The gameplay seems to have improved with better defensive AI which presents a challenge, but is not impossible to defeat. The level of scripting (code rigging by idiotic developers) in this game seems to be much less than in 16 and 17. Instead of just focusing on milking money from FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT), the additions of FIFA World Cup 2018 and Squad Battles to FUT were great. The second part of "The Journey" trilogy is actually quite entertaining and compelling. Finally, the new features and additions to career mode make that section of the game (which I play a lot) much more fun and rewarding.     For me, an incomplete game. It can be an 7 if his cost be near to $20, a 9 if they take more time to the development of the game.

    This is the first FIFA I played since 99 and 09. Graphically these games have evolved a lot, and it looks great. But now it's just a business aimed towards multiplayer and loot boxes. Even the World Cup update was lackluster. I was a big fan, but football games just aren't what they used to be.

    The new defensive system in this game just ruins the whole FIFA experience for me. EA is focusing too much on realism that they forget to focus on the fun about the game. FIFA 18 is a downgrade from FIFA 17. They're getting worse with each game release. Though the graphics is better than the previous, everything else is a downgrade for me.
    Probably the worst FIFA game to date!

Example... nobody ever wins the championship in a division unless it is the last game...always! If you are 50% on control of the ball at half time you will win.... even if you are worse. I can't comrehend how EA can't afford a few more server locations to make the game playable, while FORCING us to play on their servers in certain gamemodes (including a current "professional" gig, where you have to qualify based on WL results on their servers located too far away and too busy to be playable) as opposed to PvP where my connection is often perfect.

    As a seasoned player I'm disappointed with the way the game is developing: gameplay decline + seemingly no effort put in testing and no effort in making simple things comfortable. All the attention and effort is being put in bright lights, posters, and making people slot machine addicts, sorry I mean: big Ultimate Team players. Which in itself WOULDN'T have been an issue for me, if the substance of the game wasn't neglected like it currently is.     Absolutely idiotic scripted game. I was played over then 1000 games in UT mode and still have a problem with unfortunately slowing players moving. Even, if i have better physical form (99) and better raitings (each player over 7-9 level more then each player of computer) in a Squad Battles. It's a script nightmare for all players

Common, it's no where near 0,5,6,7 if you know what you're doing. Adjusting the slider setting actually made a big difference, more realistic football and difficult to score.     Since 2004 I buy the new Fifa every year. Fifa 18 was seriously the worst version I have ever played. The gameplay didn't feel right and was totally out of balance as well as the AI. Because of this the game was sometimes literally unplayable.

    Very good game in general, fast gameplay, it does not slow down if the internet connection is low. My only complain is that I lost wins because after the matches, i lost the connections with Servers!! But my brother was playing from the same PS4, and he didn't have any problems. I contacted EA, but nobody seemed to be able to compensate me. THAT IS DISGUSTING FOR BILLIONAIRE COMPANY.

Your players at tines cant even pass to a player a yard in front of him and instead pass to the heavily marked player. Did the guys at EA even play test the game?     7/10 - Nunca he sido fan de ningún juego de esta franquicia (FIFA), sin embargo, aunque el juego no me atrapó ni fascinó, me gustó lo suficiente. No sé que tanto varía con sus versiones predecesoras y sucesoras pero la inclusión del mundial Russia 2018 y las ligas femeninas me parecieron geniales.

    As a big soccer fan and FIFA enthusiast since 2002, I was deeply disappointed about the 2018 installment. Nothing new, micro-transactions behind every corner - all in all a big cash grab. At least, the controls, graphics, soundtrack and overall feeling are still on point.

    Literal una basura lleno de fallos le e puesto mas de 300 horas y en lugar de mejorar mi experiencia solo es mas asquerosa en especial cuando solo elijes a un jugador (para el modo carrera de jugador) ya que literal los compañeros no dan ni un paso bueno solo se quedab como inutiles y uno como Delantero tiene que ur a bajar para robar el balón por que los defensas no hacen ni una entrada

At the same time ur opponent team become crazy - they can hit long shot goal from 40m with a player with 60 long shot stat. And its not just random moments, based on composure of a players or usual mistake chance - its a periods of time - not single moments, that proves its not random at all. This game have same bugs years and years. It looks like developers just didnt test it, bcoz i dont know how to explain such a dumb things in career mode, like its impossible to grow balanced young player. Even if u'll have 90 overall youngsters, they'll be total imbalanced. Some their stats will be 99, and many others (like stamina, strenght, composure, aggression etc) will be 40. I decided to try old Fifa games and downloaded Fifa 18 and I was so surprised. For me Fifa 18 is the best football game now .I am a Career Mode player and I enjoy it so much.It is a great improvement on Fifa 17 basis. Additionally World Cup 2018 is very enjoyable and licensed. Regarding online I will not comment because I did not play much.
    This game is hundred times better than Fifa 21 and Fifa 20 and better than Pes 2020 and 2021.

    In conclusion, even today in 2021 January I strongly recommend all players to give Fifa 18 a try. A final hint will be that for Fifa 18 EA finished gameplay title updates in January 2018 (4 months from launch) whereas in last Fifa games it continoues till May. It shows how gameplay is better in my opinion.

    FIFA is always the same - a big cash grab to buy it every year full priced. But if you wait for some months, you get a good soccer game for a low price. Overall rating: 7.3.

Pelo visto a EA vai melhorando o FIFA a cada ano que passa, é como se o jogo tivesse lançado há anos atrás e sofresse atualizações anuais, como essa de gráficos, onde deixou o FIFA 18 como um jogo de geração PS4. Mais uma vez tendo o The Journey brilhando como o principal motivo para se jogar esse jogo, desta vez com uma história bônus de outro personagem, o que pode abrir portas para mais personagens no futuro, isso se o modo continuar existindo. De resto, é o mesmo jogo de sempre que dá angústia de jogar, mas pelo menos deixou os gráficos mais realista, o que me deu vontade de jogar bastante o Modo Carreira de Manager!… Expand

    Un juego muy bueno, en LATAM pusieron muy poco empeño (sus ligas, equipos, estadios, jugadores).
    El modo del MUNDIAL zafa, esta bueno, pero no está a la altura de sus antecesores (FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 Y 2014)

    By rebuilding the animation system the developers managed to significantly improve footballers’ responsiveness, which results in more fluent gameplay and lets you perform tighter maneuvers.
