So here is my advice, if you really are a football lover then this is the right game for you. However, if you love football but enjoy high scoring games like in FIFA 10 or American Football, then forget about buying it. This is a good game to buy for PS3 or XBOX 360, but is incredible for PS4 and XBOXone.

This is an excellent addition to the series. The game moves a bit quicker than 14, but I think that is good for the players. I love how data transfers over from last year's title. I will not say that this game is perfect, there is still a lot of work to do. I will say that it is a lot of fun and that my friends and I have had a lot of fun playing the game.

Absolutely love the upgrades. FIFA 14 was stunning. FIFA 15 is goat. EA Sports improved on so many details, that it seems like FIFA has nothing else to improve on other than graphics (in the future). Don't get me wrong, i give the graphics a 10/10 as well! The game really feels fluid. The build-up of plays is really satisfying and if you're a fan of complex tactics to wear down your opponent (as opposed to people who prefer to just gun it down the wing every time and cross it in), you will really enjoy this game if you are patient with it.

Find a small group of friends (or random people you meet online) and get into Pro Clubs as well.

The graphics are much better then FIFA 14, the new animations makes the game more realistic and it feels awesome to play. In FIFA 15 you will find a big variety of games, for example: skill games, career mode, online matches and the famous Ultimate Team.
Unfortunately now Sony requires you to pay to play online and I think this is a rip off. Also while you are playing, when you score, commit a fault or throw the ball it takes too much time to restart the game.

Overall, I really like playing FIFA 15 and if you enjoy football, you will certainly love this game.

Emotion of the players is a nice touch although I don't notice it as much as I would like. As a natural instinct I tend to skip through the cut scenes so this could be why. All the extra touches like the pitch wear and grass stains on players kits is a awesome addition. I love playing in the rain now with the extra mud and slop. Water spraying off the ball as its kicked and each step causes a splash. All the attention to detail and added responsiveness to the players makes it much more enjoyable play than Fifa 14. The second big reason to get 15 if you already have 14 is that tournament mode is back. I really missed this mode on Next gen fifa 14 and I am really glad it's back. I love making fantasy tournaments and leagues with my favorite teams around the world. This is one of my favorite game modes to play maybe even edging out career mode as my top. I realize some players have a problem with FUT with the micro-transactions and they feel it's pay to win. My solution to this is if you know you are getting Fifa and know you will be playing FUT then pre order the game. Playing last year I never had to buy 1 pack with real money with the weekly pack I got and the coins I earned from playing. For your favorite players get a 99 game contract with the catalog. Although FUT is not the reason I buy FIfa I do enjoy playing it a bit and really never had to dump extra money into it. The only issue I got with the game so far is something gamers have been Whining about on the Fifa forum. It looks like anti- aliasing is turned off which results in jagged edges. Although I feel it is nowhere near game breaking it can be a bit distracting and is disappointing with all the extra attention to detail they put in. Overall I'm really happy with Fifa 15 and feel it is a good improvement over last year. Not a huge step forward but definitely heading in the right direction even with a case of the jaggies! Expand

Innovative, fantastic gameplay (a significant step up from FIFA 14), superbly presented but it would seem that if they had a month or two more to polish it on issues such as the crowd shake and erratic goal news (how can Arsenal be 1-0 up and then the next report say the game is now 3-3?), this game could have been perfect.

All the usual modes are there, all of the teams you would expect are there and the graphics are a joy to behold. The new presentation style adds significantly to the experience as do the often strange musings of the acceptable face of Birmingham, Alan Smith.

Any issues I have pointed out with this game are purely to justify NOT giving it a 10 out of 10 and to avoid getting sweeped up in FIFA mania, a typically strange illness which hits every football fan around September.

It is as good as virtual football is going to get... Until next year.

A massive fan of CM but mostly ultimate team on Fifa 13, and after stopping fifa 14 to prevent mental health damage, Fifa 15 was a pleasant surprise. I have been greatly impressed by the realism added to the game, especially in career mode which I play 80% of the time this year - which to my taste- surpasses
    UT.

    The visual aspect is fantastic:

The pitch, the players and the many new faces, the movement, and mostly the presentation - Those cutscenes for celebrations and transitions, the slo-mo replays (something that has been seriously lacking to the game for a long time despite appearing in 14 NG) have been improved and add so much to the atmosphere if that's what you like. It's a pleasure to look at, it really is.

Oh and the new ball physics, brilliant.

The gameplay is better, but there is room for improvement:

    - Honestly, infuriating in the beginning. Defending needs alot of practice, and i can say i've learned alot more about the tactics of football trying to get good at it! There is now the possibilty to give individual instruction to players, and i find this to be a great addition, this can really help you get your playing style that way you want it, and change the outcome of those difficult matches.

Experimenting with formations to get the best out of your team and making the subs at the right time. This year i feel it makes so much more difference than previous FIFAs, which you could just blast through and win anyway.

Once you get the hang of it, this game is so rewarding. Sometimes I sit back and watch some of the goals that are scored and I cant help thinking : wow I could be watching the BPL right now.

This brings me on to my first negative point:

The AI has been drasticallly improved this year, but those inevitable scripted AI goals are still there. It's a good thing to get scored against, it's part of the game, but when your players suddenly forget how to control/pass the ball or deliberately run away from their marking to advantage the AI for 10 minutes prior to that Ridiculous goal, it is just TOO blatent to be acceptable. EA have to persist in their coding and get rid of this cheap way to make a game 'challenging". The same goes for UT, i can understand the use of momentum, but it's still a pain in the arse.

Other than that, the balance of play is good, and can be great if you take the time to set the sliders to find that 'realistic' sweet spot. (if that's what you want, of course).

I love this game and I look forward to the next one, which I hope will build on this solid foundation.

In the visuals next year i do hope that they implement more styles of goal nets and better net physics (ex: deep ones like at wembley or at the bernabeu) and sort out their AI issues!

    9/10 for me

But they've wrecked the Ultimate Team. Putting in Price Ranges has wrecked Ultimate Team. No coin buying. Just more pack opening, meaning more money being spent. To get one thing out of the way quickly, there's no way, at all, by any standard, this game should score less than a 5 from anyone. I can sort of understand a 5 or 6 as perhaps people are a bit blunted by the iterative nature of FIFA and the lack of substantial improvement to modes like Career and FUT, so the standards you expect on a yearly iterative game may differ substantially to mine.

But the core game itself is fine (odd random bug aside) with improved AI movement, greatly improved goalkeepers, a smarter aerial system where headers aren't the equivalent of a cheat mode and, last and least importantly, the graphics.

The scripting arguments are, as per usual, stupid, but it's going to happen when a shot hits the post late on or you concede a scrappy goal, because nerd raging at the game itself is easier than looking at where you got it wrong. It's common in the Football Manager community too, it's the nature of the beast with sports gamers.

As noted, bugs exist. I've played the PC and PS4 versions (the PC version, barring FUT, is probably the superior version surprisingly), and frame rate issues are real at times and ruin immersion in the game.

But there's nothing inherently wrong with this title. Metacritic, for all its' plus points, will never reflect with a user score the games quality, so my advice is to ignore what everyone here says (including me) and play the free demo. You'll know inside 5 minutes whether you rate it or not.

It was actually very good, and a lot better than Fifa 13.

I have a "theory" that explains those negative reviews: People don't like change. Every year it's the same, EA changes the game's mechanisms and we need to adapt and change our tactics and our way of approaching the game. Many gamers try it, see that they now suck balls, and go vomit their frustration by giving over-negative reviews of the game. But then, they get used to it over time, and start to feel comfortable again with the new gameplay. That is, until the next Fifa comes out, where they have to do it all over again.

Now the goal is not to sprint towards goal and shoot a cannonball through the GK anymore. Now you need to pass the ball a lot, be quick and anticipates the opposition's movements. I find the game much more realistic, and all the goals I've scored so fare ar closer to how it really is in real football than they were in Fifa 14. I still suck mostly, but I'm sure that those changes will be benefic to the game.

I don't say that EA are not a bunch of greedy bastards, but we need to acknowledge that this Fifa 15 is a good step forward.

One of my favourite aspects of the game is the match presentation, much like watching Sky Sports on a Saturday.. of course the commentary is as terrible as in real life, it wouldn't be FIFA without the often repeated phrases! But they've added some dialogue around past games/tournaments etc to mix it up. I love watching highlight reels at the end of games, and the focus on player reaction/emotion.

In terms if gameplay, for me there is much improvement, although I can't comment on the difference between FIFA 14. Player movement is better, ball physics too. There's more deflections, tackling is more realistic and defending is just better. Players use the correct foot (i.e. left footers use left foot), incredible i know! Shooting is good, more variety in finishing and ball spin, however heading seems a bit op. Goalkeepers are much more realistic. Little things like quick throws are also an improvement. Changes to tactics during the game really make a difference.. go all out attack and you'll find defenders end up in the box etc.

One thing that annoys me about the gameplay is the difference in AI between pro and world class, I easily win on pro, but on world class the opposition are like Barcelona every time! It feels like they are gimping your own team to play worse.. maybe its just me being crap though.

Graphically the game is odd to say the least.. there are glitches a plenty. Some players look excellent, others not so, and quite often there are jaggies. For a game that is developed so often, and there isn't much to work on graphically, you'd think crowds would be a little more realistic. Also players walk very strangely, like they've got piles or something.

In terms of replayability, I have to say i'm pretty addicted. I play career mode mainly, but have dabbled in Ultimate Team, and then there's obviously multiplayer.

The soundtrack is great as usual.

Overall this is a very good game, not perfect but a great improvement for someone who doesn't buy every iteration.

However, they have made some significant improvements in this years version. For starters, they have completely re-made goal keepers from scratch to make them more realistic and better in-game. BUT, this has led to them being so in-consistent, with them at one point being impossible to score past, to them letting in the most ridicules goals. Another noticeable change is the defending, with you no longer able to jockey a player, making defending more challenging for the player. This game is beautiful displayed, with great visuals, and with the EPL License it helps make the game fill more alive and real. However, this game has its faults, such as the EA SERVICES that has never changed, noticed pop ins and lagging (mostly online). I love the new crowd animations, making a home game feel like a true home game with the supporters playing a key 12th man. Also, if you score an important goal, such as a 90th min winner, almost the whole team will run to you as you celebrate the goal. The gameplay is a more fast and fluid football experience, and benefits the smaller and agile players. There are still your usual features such as career mode (manager and player), tournaments and of course the addicting FUT. This year's Fifa is visually upgraded from last year with a lot of new high-res faces having been scanned, Premier League presentation, new addition and varity to player moves, etc. Overall it's all fine and dandy but you can't help but feel that they can do far more. (Even though the animated ads along the sideline are brilliant..).
According to EA's ad campaign keepers have been upgraded and this is immediately apparent when it comes to high power shots from distance when they make dramatic saves to prevent that late winner. However EA has seemed to have made keepers completely oblivious to close range low powered tap-ins.
It's agonizing seeing the ball role past a keeper like Lloris when you know he could have just picked it up.
A patch is needed here a.s.a.p. Great improvements but lacking.
The physics systems is one that I haven't seen in any sports game anywhere else. It's fantastic to see a sliding tackle where the attachers last foot that hurdles the tackler get caught behind a leg or a foot. Brilliant and it really adds to the realism. Only downside is that you can sometimes see players of the same team run into each other as though they were blind.
Computer and teammate AI has had multiple great updates over the last years and this year you can see that attackers no longer twist and turn (back) but actually either evade your charge or pass it off to a teammate. Defensively however your teammates seem not to pay attention to their surroundings. On many occasions you are caught having to quickly change player and dart after the attacker that AI has just failed to put any pressure on whatsoever.
There is a lot to say, both good and bad, about this year's FIFA. Thing is, it's an improvement upon last (however small it may feel) and it's still far better than the competition. Having played every FIFA since it's first itteration back in '94 I know that EA always takes one or two years after the start on a new console generation to really get its game going on the new next gen but they're not there yet.

Online modes are as fun as ever wth Ultimate Team once again a addictive and enjoyable experience with hardly any server problems for me when playing online and the offline single player seasons still very addictive.

The depth of leagues/teams is second to none on a console football game and I think the difficulty curves are fair. The keepers have improved and the new keeper animations are nice and the crowds/sound are good and the game boasts a great soundtrack.

There are a few negatives though referees in this game tend to be biased towards the AI which really grates at times the number of fouls that get called against you compared to the AI really rack up. The passing and control can be a bit hit and miss as the AI nearly always has a perfect first touch compared to you when the ball will simply rebound off you or a short simple pass can go straight to the opposing team.

Overall Fifa 15 is a really good football game and an improvement on 14 and if you want a game with a deep pool of licensed teams/players and competitions then this is the football game for you.

You could say all that stuff is fluff and what matters is the game on the putch and you are right that is what matter but ea made a big deal out of it so it should matter, and it needs a lot of improvment.

I've played this game probably over 100 hours to date, and while it's a mixed bag, it still comes out on the better side of soccer games. For my review, I will mainly concentrate on gameplay and things that have a major impact on the user experience, because those are ultimately what determine the replay value of a sports game.

On that note, here's what I've found to be good in FIFA 15:
    - shooting is much improved and is more enjoyable than before. There's still a lot of shots (particularly volleys) that go off target, but on the whole you have better control over your shots than ever before. I've managed to score some absolutely stunning goals in FIFA 15.
    - Passing is also quite good, and the computer AI has been tightened up.
    - ball control is better than ever before, allowing you to pull of some nifty dribbles.

As for my gripes, there's plenty of those, many of which have been carried over from previous FIFA titles:
    - player switching on defense is still maddeningly random, causing you to pull players out of position because the AI assigns a relatively random defender for you when you tap L1. (PES is SO much better at this).
    - your computer controlled team mates still don't care about loose balls, at all. They'll just jog blissfully ignorantly in a random direction instead of dashing to the loose ball to create or prevent a scoring chance. Combine this with the faulty player switching and you've got an explanation for a couple of swear words in every game.
    - the computer controlled defenders play way too passively, no matter what setting you put it on (I've tried to put the AI on 100% pressure and 100% aggression, and it only makes a relatively minor difference.). This makes it frustrating for those of you who (like me) want to play high pressure defense and force quick turnovers a la Barca or Bayern Munich. Put another way, the defense is designed to play with a more patient and conservative approach, but come on, this is a video game!
    - the menus are still SO slow. I was sure this would be fixed on PS4, but nope, looks like that's just the way they've been coded. Bizarre and maddening.
    - while the gameday updates to squads are a great feature, most of us don't want to play without our star players even if they're injured or on international duty in real life. Forcing us to manually put all the top players back into the starting lineup takes 2-5 minutes of precious time before every game. Really, EA? You want us to fiddle with the lineups that much every freaking time?! Why not adopt a feature from PES that made the computer put all the best players on each position by a single touch of the button?

While I am waiting for these faults to be fixed in the future, I have to admit that although they are all quite maddening, they are all relatively minor and don't distract too much from an otherwise very solid football game.

For FIFA 16, I just wish EA don't just keep adding new features for the sake of marketing, but actually go back and fix the most glaring ones from previous versions.

Having said all that, if soccer is your game of choice, this is as good as it gets, and it's very good. Just don't buy it expecting perfection.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last time I was addicted to football games was during the PlayStation 1 era. I didn't think that would happen again any time soon, but I took a chance and bought FIFA 15 anyway. Needless to say, I don't regret my decision at all! The game play is excellent and the emotions run high every time I'm in the middle of thrashing Liverpool in an all-out competition. The movement is realistic and the commentators are spot on with their analysis of the games.
I guess the only problem I have with the game (and thus the 8 rating) is those instances in the Manager role when a player gets homesick and there's very little you can do (short of breaking the bank) to keep them at your club. The game can actually make you lose a vital player and sell that player off without your consent. I mean, come on!! Well, I know that it's nothing new to this instalment of FIFA but I really think it's a bad move on the part of EA Sports. It just really throws a spanner in the works when you're trying to build up to a successful season.
Other than that, I can't really complain about the rest of the game. I would definitely recommend it to any sports fans out there.

FIFA 15 is an improvement on the lacklustre first PS4 entry the year before it. Whilst the graphics only improved slightly, it is the games fast paced gameplay and innovated crowd mechanics that put the series back on track.

    It isn't a 10 because:
-Where is the Brazillian League? -Why can't I play with my created player on modes like quick game? -Isn't time to join to the game leagues like the Ucranian or Greek instead of Saudi Arabian (LOL)? -What about making available teams like Dynamo Kiev, Steaua Bucuresti, APOEL, Maccabi Tal Aviv, Dinamo Zagreb, BATE

This is the first Fifa game I have bought in over 10 years.
I am enjoying playing it. My knock against it is they don't include every country for tournaments. Even if they used randomly generated players for those countries roster that would at least give us the option of playing as a country that did not qualify for the last world cup.

Defending is a lot harder now, you have to wait like 10 seconds for the right moment to attack an opponent or he will easily spin around and go through.

I started playing Ultimate Team for the first time ever in any FIFA game and was a bit suprised that I liked it.
I thought it's pay to win like, but even without buying any "fifa points", it was not very hard to reach League 1.
To my mind it's full of people how don't know how play to football. I mean when I see them trying to rush right from the kickoff through my entire defence with one **** player. So dumb.

So far I don't get the feeling that it's scripted to much. Meanwhile I figured out, that some teams even when they had absolutely no chance in the first half. Then surprisingly play better in the second. So I think it's getting a bit harder, when you have just a 1 or 2 goals lead, but it's not unplayable. You still can win such a game.

If you played FIFA 15 Demo and then you decided to buy it, forget about it. The problem is not the game itself, its marketing strategy. I think camera wobble effect, emotions and related animations and other little details are designed for demo as a part of EA's marketing strategy. AI's momentum or handicap (scripted AI) features could be good balancing elements for FUT or PRO CLUBS. But these are not enough to improve career mod experience and satisfy old school fans. I understand FUT policy of EA but they need old school fans too who have loyality to their product for years. first of all, the presentation is pretty good...nice atmo in the arenas, physics are great(most of the time) and the game itself play pretty smooth....for anyone who isnt a fifa nerd, this game is just awesome.

    why 7 points?

first of all, SO MANY BUGS!
especially if u play with a friend, if the 2nd player has to take a goalkick or free kick the camera wont change...he has to kick it blindly...sometimes the player change 4times in 2seconds (with the option set to "only airballs")...this also happens on penaltys...good luck with that!
i once took a corner, but i was standing at the commercial banners :D
the physics showing some sick collitions sometimes...

like to play on a snowy pitch? better don´t, played twice on a snowy pitch at ultimate team online...twice we played with a white ball ;D

changed the commentary to english, played a game...changed back to german...also i had to set up the controller options a few times now for the 2nd player...why?

alot of players have the wrong stats...for example jefferson farfan, who didnt play for almost 2 years has 82 overall!! thats a lot! german talent timo werner who is 10million € worth, has 70 overall, his teammate mohammed abdelloue played one game last year and is the strongest player of his team with 76. Also, a player with overall 65 can´t be a good free kick striker?

    gameplay
for me as a fifa nerd, it is really really frustrating and annoying...cheap tricks are still working all over the game...for example at kickoff...one long ball, nobody react but the receiver...even the goalkeeper is able to kick a 70meter pass and sometimes the attacker is able to pick it up without any trouble...defense sleeping...same with free kicks...it´s really hard to play this safe, most of the time u will not only lose the ball, you will be countered...

    graphics
it´s not ugly...yes...but for next gen, there is a LOT MORE possible....ea is smart, updating the graphics only alittle every year so we believe they work on it, if they would spend more money on the yearly update, it could be so much better! especially for next gen!

playing FuT with hard earn coins is more frustrating, if u spend real money you get better player, pay to win.

as a fifa nerd, after a few games you will realise it´s the exact same game in disguise...
    i bet there is more....
    final words
good soccer simulation with good graphics, but nothing special

Whilst FIFA 15 retains the core elements that makes FIFA a standout title amongst sporting franchises, it is becoming increasingly obvious that "cashing in" on the FIFA franchise is being made a priority over revolutionising. I do not take issue with the "same game, different year" argument, both sides to that are probably right. On one hand it is in reality, the same game, different year - yet - on the other hand, the argument that other franchises such as Call of Duty are the same every year also holds water. The core problem with FIFA however, is that EA monopolise the sporting franchises of the gaming industry. Unfortunately, unlike Call of Duty there is little risk of "moving elsewhere" to the likes of Battlefield or Halo - the single realistic alternative to FIFA is PES, and those who would threaten to move franchise or prefer PES are, in all likelihood, probably already playing the game.

FIFA 15 certainly can't be faulted for the range of game modes it offers; career, seasons, co-op seasons, PRO Clubs alone or in parties and Ultimate Team. The latter the greatest cash cow of them all, and where the flaws are most apparent - it will also be the focus of this review as it is this mode which is the most popular of all. Certainly from the games I have played, the "over the top from kick off" or, KSI tactic to the younger audience, seems to be less apparent - I have yet to have anyone try this against me, but have been duly informed it is still possible. Instead it is replaced by the "run through the whole team from kick off" ability. Now, if the teams were significantly unbalanced, and by unbalanced I mean Ronaldo vs. 1-2 star bronze team unbalanced, then it would be borderline accepted - but this isn't the case. Case in point, a game I lost 8-7. This was bronze team vs. bronze team, and had this tactic succeeded one or twice, it could be written off as good play, but this was able to be done at least four times... by each player. Could this potentially able to write this off as bad defending? Perhaps. I will admit that defending in my ultimate team certainly isn't my strongest ability. This though, was followed by the ability to use the same tactic against a four and a half star all-rare-gold team. When a bronze league two striker, rated fifty three is able to bounce off established international squads game in, game out then this clearly becomes a flaw in the game. The problem being that at times, the ability to move defenders around and actually defend feels beyond sluggish, almost to the point players feel like they are trying to run through water. Coupled with times of comical goalkeeping and depending on whether you are on the receiving side or otherwise can feel anywhere between apologetic and infuriated.

I can happily say that for the moment - and I say that loosely as luck will eventually turn - with the exception of my goalkeepers missing crosses and punching the opposition striker in the head resulting in a "WTF just happened!?" replay and subsequent penalty, goalkeeper blunders have been few and far between. Unfortunately for one of my opponents, his goalkeeper just stood bewildered at why he did not move - and I mean literally, did not move - and let the ball bounce off him and into the goal. Whilst the the FIFA Gods can be thanked for balancing the seriously overpowered headers of FIFA 14 - I'm looking at you Ibrahimovic - pace is still a serious issue that is killing the game, allowing the ability to turn what is clearly a mediocre player into a somewhat suspicious looking "Invincible" of the 03/04 BPL season. Again, if this was limited to the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Messi et al, it would be somewhat accepted - but we are talking Ibarbo. A brief look at the ultimate reliable source of Wikipedia states 15 goals in 174 club games, not exactly reaching the same heights as Ronaldo's 273 goals in 260 for Madrid level - but equally as difficult to defend in Ultimate Team. Remove the element of "pace beats everything" no matter the quality of the striker or defender and the game almost becomes, dare I say it... balanced.

The element of FIFA Points, should in all reality, be boycotted. It is a cash cow of the highest degree. Those in favour of FIFA Points and EA themselves will probably argue that nearly all games in the current era offer additional content for real money. Wrong. It is equivalent of gaming gambling. If I buy DLC maps for Call of Duty or Uncharted, I know what I'm getting - whether I will like it or not is with everything in gaming, hit or miss. If I buy additional story content of Assassin's Creed or Mass Effect, same as above. FIFA points, however, is a gamble. You spend £5.00, £10.00, even £20.00 on FIFA points. What you get for them may, and likely will, result in a complete waste of money in a very short period of time.

Solid game, but still deeply rooted flaws.

Prior to FIFA 15 I had only ever played FIFA games with friends and we had always had a great time with it and in terms of the game, it's more or less the same as ever with possibly slight tweaks to game play and noticeably improved graphics. Ultimate Team is a great mode that is a lot of fun and can be addictive. At least, at first.

Having never played the Ultimate Team mode before, I was initially having a great time building my own squad and so on and I quickly won the division 10 title and moved onto division 9. Then suddenly, I hit a brick wall. I was being put up against full gold teams with 90% or higher chemistry in every single game (Keeping in mind, this is the 2nd lowest division). My three and a half star team of mixed bronze and silver never stood a chance. It turns out that players who performed well in UT in previous FIFA games are awarded with free packs and FIFA points, more or less allowing them a high quality squad from the get go. What this means is that UT is a great, competitive mode initially but it's rather inaccessible to new comers once they progress past the first division unless they're willing to grind match after match until they can afford to buy a high quality side with the coins they amass (Which, seeing as many players cost tens of thousands of coins or more. Will take a very long time.) Many will be put off by this, getting sick of suffering one demolishing defeat after another and end up giving up on the mode which is a shame.

Besides that, most of the online features work nicely although lag can be an issue, sometimes only minor but I've also played games I would compare to power point presentations so bad was the lag.

Overall, FIFA is a fun game to play with friends and with improved graphics and tweaked game play and online can also be quite fun but the fact ultimate team is more or less inaccessible to new players is a pretty large fault as it's probably one of the most fun modes to play when matches are somewhat even rather than massacres.

    + Looks great
+ Controls mostly work as intended
+ A lot of fun with friends

    - Ultimate Team is inaccessible to new players
    - More or less the same game we've come to expect every year
    - AI can be extremely stupid at times, which can cost goals and matches

First up, Fifa 15 is a solid game and one that I would recommend to anyone looking for a sports game they can jump right into and hasn't played the series recently. For those people, I give the game a solid 7 out of 10.

For the veterans out there... well even... for anyone that has played Fifa 14, I give it a solid 5 out of 10. **Do not pay full price for this game.** I regretted it not 30 minutes after playing it as I realized I had paid $60 for what should have been DLC. Sure there are a lot 14 players saying great things about it, but I can guarantee you that many of the reviews were written either before they played the game or before they put a day of play into it. I just can't imagine how any 14 player could accept 15 as a good buy. It is, without exaggerating, 14 but with **slight** graphical additions.

But EA added the Emotional Intelligence, the biggest marketed feature of 15!! ... EI does not affect game play whatsoever, and only amounts to cut scenes during breaks in play. It is cool to watch a few times. After you've played max 10 games, and I'm being really generous here, you will never watch them again. To put it another way, how often do you watch the intro's to the games? It was cool at the beginning, but in the end you just want to play the game and skip it. Same thing.

So if the biggest feature of 15 is something you will skip after the first few games, how about the next one? Next Gen Goalkeepers were marketed pretty heavily. What's the end result? Shockingly bad goalkeepers, as well as shockingly good goalkeepers. About 1/4 of the time, the goalkeepers are terrible. They dive the wrong way, make saves that actually increase the chance of a goal, let balls go right through them, or just bug out and don't do anything. 1/4 of the time, the goalkeepers are insane good. You smash a ball to the top corner and they superman across the next to get it. You smash a ball low on the ground and their arm glitches like lightning to make a save. Unrealistic reflexes and saves. The other half of the time, the goalkeepers are actually pretty good, making saves that you I admit were pretty damn nice to see. Overall? It seems like it's one step forward, but also one step back at the same time.

So what else is there if the two biggest features weren't actually that good? Well I can't say anything good about Manager Mode, because it is EXACTLY the same as in 14. No joke. FUT? nearly identical. Other game modes? The same.... so what's left? They now leave foot prints in the grass. Is that worth $60? How about a more lively stadium atmosphere? It's cool, but is that a game seller? Then perhaps the improved game play. It is improved marginally at best, and actually has transitioned into an even higher paced counter attacking game (with the **exact same scripting/handicapping** as seen in 14).

So in the end, I can't speak too positively about the new additions to 15. The big things that were supposed to sell it just weren't executed well.. or even really mattered. The things that should've improved either didn't improve at all, or saw marginal changes. I've been a long time Fifa player, and have had great memories with the series. Unfortunately, these memories are getting older with less and less new ones being made as the series goes on. I've found it hard to enjoy 15, and really just get more frustrated and angry the more I play it. EA obviously has priorities out of sync with their continuing customer base, and this is something I won't support anymore.

Its a big improvement on the absolute piece of garbage that was FIFA 14, but there's still much room for improvement. The physics (ball and player) are poor, keepers are broken and dribbling past defenders is too easy. Despite the flaws, the game's pretty balanced and the overall look of the game is great, so its a solid installment.

Graphics and presentation is great and the new physics system for players adds alot of difference from earlier games, but its also here the flaws being to creep out. The game handles for instance colliding between team players in one way, and opposing players in another. Also, small players are quick as lightning and hard to take the ball from, so there are ALOT of short people playing as forwards in multiplayer. There is lso some really wierd AI handling when it comes to defending, with AI being passive in multiplayer matches, especially in the penalty area. Also , the referee hands out penalty shots to players blocking the goalkeepers path in corner situations which is both frustrating and wierd.

There are issues, and im hoping the will get patched, because underneath this there is a great football game with awsome gameplay to be enjoyed.

Again EA have decided to focus mainly on Ultimate Team with other modes like Career and Pro Clubs not being upgraded as such. Tournament mode is a welcome return but in terms of large scale changes they stop there.
In game goalkeepers are either extremely good or bad with no middle ground. Defending does take a while to get used to but once you can handle it, it really improves the game mechanics. Shooting in the box and in one on ones is easy as a low powered shot to the near post will go in 9 times out of 10.
Overall Fifa 15 is a solid if unspectacular experience.

FIFA 15 is not bad. But I find myself going 15-0 and running past the defenders much. FIFIA 14 was great, and FIFA 15 brings some good stuff to UT with keeps me playing. scoring goals is harder and more rewarding then Iv ever seen in a FIFA game. If you buy FIFA every year there is a bit of new add ones that will make you smile but nothing so big that changes the way it plays. Remember itsFIFA 15 is not bad. FIFA 15 is an improvement from its predecessor, but once you start to play the game for a number of weeks, you start to realise that the game has issues that perhaps older football game didn't have even back in the Playstation 2. For example, it is much easier to score right from the kick off, particularly with a highly-rated player.

The game appears to becoming more of an arcade game rather than a simulation. The graphics & multiple game modes are without doubt the best a football game has ever featured, but what happens on the pitch is where it matters, which unfortunately is where FIFA 15 shows its faults.

I think it is a really good game for football fans, however Pro Evolution Soccer is better. But this one is for gamers who are not very much interested in football. If you would like to play 1 or 2 games twice a month, this one would be perfect, because FIFA 15 isn't demanding. It's full of schemes and irrational combinations, when defenders are acting like total beginniers. Still,I think it is a really good game for football fans, however Pro Evolution Soccer is better. First of all, I should mention, that I have played fifa on the PS3 since 2008. In the last two games (2013,2014) there was the momentum, that really broke it for me.
Fifa 2014 was even worse. It was a mess and anyone, who is not closing his eyes from this, knows about the momentum. It was so bad in Fifa 14, that I even sold my PS3. Before I sold my PS3, I started playing Fifa 2012 again

Well I bought a PS4 3 weeks ago and I was really skeptical about Fifa ever since Fifa 14 and bought pes 15 instead. Well that game just isn´t my thing and after thinking a lot, I decided to buy Fifa 15. I expected the crazy momentum that was in Fifa 14 but thanks to god, it is different now.
Yes there still is momentum. All of your players get weaker again, mistakes happen and so on but not in the slightes as bad, as it was in Fifa 14. I am so relieved. Even when the momentum kicks in (there are different momentums: In the game where your players are full power but your opponent gets a strong boost or when your team is weaker and dumber in general for like 2 or at most 3 rounds) , you still can win every match. IF you are good in the deffense. I am the best example for that. You really can´t blame everything on the momentum now even though I would be so much happier, if there wasn´t anything like it. But I expected so much worse and I am so relived now. If you are a really good Fifa player, you will be very good in this game. In Fifa 14, you could be very good and the momentum would bring your statistics down to the celler but not here.
I will give this game a 7 because it really is mostly in your hands if you win or not. Furthermore I think, that EA aknowledged, how annoying the momentum was in Fifa 14 and tried to change it. They definetely did not take it out completely but it is not half as bad anymore. I hope EA will change it completely in the next Fifa. They are on the right way.
Well it doesen´t get more points from me because of the still existing momentum. I think it is wrong to implement such a thing. Either you win because of your skills or you lose. There shouldn´t be a machine in the background manipulating a game. That is so wrong. I could never give this game more then 7, when there is such a mechanic.
I don´t know about the momentum in fut and I am actually not interested in it. Maybe I will try it in some time. There was crazy momentum in fut in Fifa 14 though. I guess it is not as bad anymore too.
Graphics are good, I like it. The animations are great. The AI could be a bit better but most of the time (when the momentum is not breaking your game. It makes your AI stupid intentionally), the AI does a good job. I have never wrote a review about a game but I thought this would be important because EA really did change the intensity of the momentum, which should be mentioned in my opinion, so we can expect a even less momentum ridden game next time. I really hope EA will change this completely. Or at least don´t go back to how it was in Fifa 13 and especially 14. Enjoy the game people, at least you can now control the game even when the momentum kicks in.

It's not the best FIFA game ever, but It's very well done. The ultimate team this year is absolutely horrible, but the career mode is maybe the best ever. It can give you so much emotion winning the champions league to scoring a 90th minute goal to win the league title.

Great things, it has a great narrative, and you have a great time playing the be a pro mode. Other than that it has several other modes which are all fine for the most part.

Well, FIFA. The game is ok, I have both FIFA and PES because you never know which friend of mine is visiting me home and it is a must have just because of that. When I'm alone, I only play PES. But I do enjoy FIFA when playing with friends though.

I could not shake the feeling that gameplay changes were introduced only to justify publishing a new FIFA. I launched brilliant FIFA 14 for comparison and could not believe how much the designers lost their way. Why try too hard to reinvent something almost perfect instead of just polishing it? Is it overflowing with newness for anyone that’s already gorged the past year’s soccer bounty? Nope. But it’s still the very best soccer game in town.
