    At first I was hesitant to pick up Feist. But this is a real unique gem, thats just waiting to be discovered. The character is likeable, the backgrounds amazingly beautiful and the whole atmosphere is oozing charm.

    Every movement of the game is physics based, which turns the puzzles and chases into a very exciting, delicate acts of trying the environment to get further in the game.    At first I was hesitant to pick up Feist. But this is a real unique gem, thats just waiting to be discovered. The character is likeable, the backgrounds amazingly beautiful and the whole atmosphere is oozing charm.

    Every movement of the game is physics based, which turns the puzzles and chases into a very exciting, delicate acts of trying the environment to get further in the game.

    Feist is a 2d side scrolling platformer where you play as this little furball looking thing trying to rescue your mate from these giant monster fur ball The game is great to look at, it’s simple, and the platforming feels pretty perfect as well… However it’s just not fun to play… There are 10 levels in this game which can take you anywhere from 3 to 10    Feist

    The game is great to look at, it’s simple, and the platforming feels pretty perfect as well…
    However it’s just not fun to play…
    There are 10 levels in this game which can take you anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes each to complete with a good run…
    This game personally took my around 3 hours to complete thanks to the frustrating 2nd half…
    Every level feels very Samey though…
    No change in the art direction, which kind of takes away the initial wow moment when you start playing..
    The beautiful background quickly gets muted as it doesn’t change enough to regrab my attention…
    There’s a noticeable lack of themes here…
    The gameplay here is thankfully pretty basic... you can jump, push items, pick up sticks, logs, and rocks to kill enemies with…
    You can even use some of the enemies as weapons themselves…
    And there even occasional bosses you have to take out with the environment.. Or weapons…
    These are all very tense but rewarding moments...
    Where the game starts to fall apart is the moment it adds these annoying spider creatures..
    They’re completely random feeling and unpredictable…
    And seem to spawn infinitely so killing them does nothing...
    its frustrating having to deal with them while you’re trying to figure out where to go... And really left a bad taste in my mouth for the remainder of the game…
    They just don’t stop showing up…
    Which turns the game from being more about challenging you with small puzzles and platforming... to an annoyance…
    Deaths stop feeling earned and start to feel cheap….
    And death really starts to feel cheap later on in the game when the game starts to lag and chug along when a lot of things start to happen on screen..
    Feist is a beautiful game…
    But the beauty fades fast.

    I started to play it with pleasure. But eventually as I made progress the game made me lose my interest. Puzzles relatively easy and indifferent. Nice try. Small similarities with the inside and the Limbo and if I'm not wrong I do not think that developers will also deny it. Because I found it at a low price I will not say other negative for the game.     I almost missed this gem because initially I assumed it was yet another mediocre copy of Limbo.

    The visual style is similar to Limbo, but Feist is less puzzle based, and more action/combat based. It includes quite a lot of elements not found in Limbo. Everything behaves according to very lifelike physics, so the hostile and primal world feels really natural and organic.     New gameplay elements are introduced at a balanced pace during the 10 chapters, and checkpoints are placed so far apart that it felt like a nice reward when I managed to clear the most tricky sections, but still they're so close together that it didn't feel unfair or stupid when I died and had to retry a section over and over again...

    I experienced some very short frame rate drops now and then, but that was a minor issue.

    I'm really happy I gave this game a well deserved chance, and If you like physics based games with some light puzzle elements, please give this a try!    … Expand

    Quite a challenge, as much because of its difficulty as because of its repetitive gameplay and the annoying lack of a health bar.

    Feist isn’t a bad game, but it wasn’t all that enjoyable at the same time. Most times I just wanted to get through the level as quickly as possible, which I suppose is the goal if you are trying to beat the speedrun times. There are occasional framerate drops in the game, but they don’t really show their true colors until the end of the game. The game is pretty short, so don’t expect a long journey. The game’s longevity can be increased if you care about clearing the levels with the fastest time and without dying.

    If you find yourself drawn to punishing difficulty and savage foes, then Feist will satisfy. But otherwise the frustration will build slow and refuse to leave. Feist is a game that shows you the savage beauty of the natural world, with all the good and bad that this entails.
