    this version of fallout 4 doesn't have many mods, which is why it's an 8, and also the story isn't the best, but this is one of the most entertaining fallout games I've played. Gunplay feels good, most mechanics like perks feel good, and settlement system. It can be hit or miss for players but for me it's pretty relaxing and satisfying when the system doesn't have a stroke. Overall give itthis version of fallout 4 doesn't have many mods, which is why it's an 8, and also the story isn't the best, but this is one of the most entertaining fallout games I've played.     ho provato proprio ora fallout 4 e, essendo un grande ammiratore della casa produttrice, mi sono ritrovato un gioco che non mi ha saputo coinvolgere al meglio, anche se come idea di trama "originale" mi intrigava molto. Sono rimasto un po deluso da questo fallout

Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (8) Very Good. Innovative, but perhaps not the right choice for everyone. This score indicates that there are many good things to be had, but arguably so.

    Who knew exploring a radioactive wasteland can be fun. The Fallout series continues to do a great job with notable companions and NPCs. Just wish they didn't throw camp building and sanctuary missions at you constantly and that the story is arc isn't foreseen from the start. First person shooting has been improved to compared to previous entries of the series, but still could use some work. I also wish there were tough choices to make like previous Fallout games. Now we have a better looking waste land to explore while we wait for the next one.    … Expand

    Just like skyrim this game is shallow...combat is poor,story...exploration is repetitive a loot after a while is boring ..skills in game are fine ...dlc far harbor is better than main game ..nuka world is not that good .....overall poor experience....if you get this game for like 15 euros/dollars then fine have fun more than than noo man

    Bethesda continues to show that they can not keep up with modern times. My first fallout game and I remember how much I loved it, Then I realized other games existed in the series .

    Played it for more than 1000h. Made all endings. Made different characters. I just love everything about this game. Im a sucker for post-apocalyptic games. And this one is MY favorite one. Played all Fallout games but this one is my favorite on!

    One of my personal all time favorite games. The base building really helps separate it from any other open world games I have played. Just so much fun beyond the standard storyline

    Terrible game the build sanctuary SUUUUCKS donkey. It take forever to get going for anything. If you want to play a good fallout play new vegas if you want a good bethesda game skyrim all the way or fallout 3. Anything but this game

    Superior gunplay to prior entries but inferior writing. Response wheel is a downgrade, crafting is way too annoying and involved, central quest is interesting but everything around it feels poorly though-out. Drops a lot of what makes other Fallout games successful in favor of other choices, with mixed results. Still has it's moments though (rad sea).

    This is a good game, but it can't stand the atmosphere of the previous chapters. The main problem is that the interesting side quests are non existent compared to the past. I wonder what happened if more budget went to storytelling and quests writing, instead to the "make your own outpost" mechanics.

    The game had a few problems, which translated into a lot of damage. These problems, moving away from the roots of RPG and the imbalance between RPG and shooter, made it not become a top Bethesda game.
    The problem of the dialogue system and the character not being silent and the very few choices of this game was very good overall game

Cartoonish characters for the most part, weapons who don't make sense, most of them are ugly pipe "guns" (who can shoot .50 cal.... not even a crackhead would believe that thing to be possible). And the rest have poor attention to details. Devs should hire a gun expert to make better guns, tho i believe even simple common sense would"Fallout" except the target audience is 10 year olds. The graphics are not really up to scratch by PS4 standards, looking more like a PS3 game with a lick of paint and the narrative structure is not quite strong enough. You seem to spend too much time picking over the scenery looking for junk for the over-complicated crafting system and getting killed byOne of the original sandbox FPS RPGs, Fallout is starting to show its age a little.     Now what about the negative part of the game that most caught my attention was the repetitiveness of the quests mainly from side quests that are almost entirely composed of go somewhere and kill a bunch of invaders or mutants, another thing that disappointed me a lot was The story of Fallout 4 that tries to be profound in the plot of a father in search of his kidnapped son, but that fails miserably in giving us a sense of urgency or attachment to the plot.

    In my opinion this failure is due to the lack of charisma and development of the characters that often appear to have no personality or life of their own as if their existence depended solely on serving the main character making most of the characters in the game easily forgettable except for A few exceptions like Nick Valentine, the synthetic who works as a private detective in Diamond City with a noir style that charms everyone, and the butler robot Codsworth who served the family of his character before the war and that was the 200 years in which you were frozen Care of your old home.

    Finally I can say that Fallout 4 is a good game in the direction of bring us much content, however with some errors and bugs dated and failing to surprise and overcome their predecessors becoming repetitive from a certain point other than Skyrim that until the days Has a lot to offer and certainly does not match the great RPGs of this generation like The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age inquisition. Summarizing Fallout 4 is worth to playing but is not a priority in RPG or worth a full price.    … Expand

    My favourite Fallout game to date.

    Why? Because I can basically make whatever experience I want with this game. Survival? Check. Shooter? Check. Base Builder? Check.

    It's not even that buggy, especially with the amazing modding community fixing stuff Bethesda can't be bothered to.

    Is it perfect? No. Is it fun? Yes.

    I would give this game a lower score but since Im a big fan of Fallout 3 I think this game deserves an 8. its just a better improved version of 3(mechanics wise) other than that the story is ok and the glitches are all over the place.

    Compared to 3 and New Vegas, I just think this one is much weaker. Not a bad game, just meh. It's not even nostalgia or bias talking, I just think the setting and characters of 3 and New Vegas are just much more memorable and interesting. Who tf cares about Preston Garvey.

    This game is unbelievable, love the RPG elements, the story is heartwarming and the side quests are out of this world, recommend to see which are the radiant quests and not do too many of them as they are infinite in amount but other than that perfect game.

    I love this game. It's addictive and the world is incredibly fun to explore. The dialogue choices are often absolutely hilarious. The combat is explosive and wild and fun. The UI, as always with Bethesda games, is flawless. The game and world hooks you. The story is surprisingly complex and your choices really matter based on who you side with. This is one of very few games to make me cryI love this game. It's addictive and the world is incredibly fun to explore. The dialogue choices are often absolutely hilarious.     What can I say, I'm a sucker for Bethesda. I love their games and the freedom their games give the players, which is no different from Fallout 4. I have spent WAY too much time on this game, but I enjoyed all the little things as much as the big things.

    Cant see enemies. Dont know where they shooting from. Dogmeat gets in the way while i am looting. Asking me to kill raiders in a factory or some crap but the raiders dont come to me! I must find them and then kill them? Grenade markers are worthless. CRAP GAME WASTE OF TIME. STUPID BETHESDA. EAT 0 NOOB DEVS. CANT EVEN MAKE GAME THESE STUPID DEVS.

    This game is very good. this game has a thing that any other fallout doesn't have (without counting fallout 76) after completing the game you can continue playing it that thing is excellent. Nv and 3 are way better than 4 but, is a very good game

    This game is fun ......is underated ....i play this even today i have 1000 hours in this game and still i find this fun .....and game shud be played in survival not casual(normal) difficulty if you didn't play on survival you didn't play the game...this game is basically skyrim with guns

    A very mediocre game, at best. Visually not so much better than Fallout 3. In all honestly, it looks real bad for a PS4 game.

An excellent example of this problem is Fallout 4 (though most open-world titles are guilty of it), where you're theoretically on a desperate quest to find Shaun, but in practice you keep taking detours to help some **** dirt farmer with his bloatfly problem.

    Ideally, when making a plot-driven RPG, you'd want to pace your story progression with natural downtime periods, when maybe you're chasing leads that might further your urgent goals or you're trying to earn your keep while you're waiting for a previously-concluded thread to bear fruit, thus introducing both the opportunity and excuse to engage with side-content.

    When people say they want choices, they want meaningful choices. All the choices and solutions to quests in Fallout 3 are absolute meaningless, with no affect on anything whatsoever. Not to mention a lot of the solutions are overly simplistic and too easy to achieve.

    Also, Fallout 3 didn't translate jack and **** from the first two games. It's like someone parading around in your favorite series's clothes, telling you that it's totally part of your favorite series. But it's not. It's a cobbled together pretender that uses recognizable iconography and some RPG systems from the series to make people think it's an actual Fallout game.    … Expand

    This was my first Fallout game, and i didn't had big expectations. But it was really a surprise to play this. The atmosphere feels so genuine, the story is interesting and it keeps you wanting to uncover more and more of the story.

    My first real experience in a role playing game and i fell in love with the different characters you could play as throughout the campaign. Looking back now , there wasn't an abundance of choice but the game does give you this freedom to roam free with your imagine despite in game additions.

    I first played this in 2018 and it instantly became one of my favourite games of the generation! I couldn't believe how immersed I became in the building aspect and aside from that, the world and lore in this game is amazing.

    Fun, at times a bit repetitive and a little tiring, Fallout 4 is an overall enjoyable, relaxed and intriguing action RPG. I'm not a big fan of the franchise, but the story and its characters are very fun, very interesting to learn more about. The game, just like other Bethesda games, has its quirky, buggy, but build-with-love DNA.

    Fallout 4 has a good story, good gameplay and solid graphics. Overall , Fallout 4 is a really fun and enjoyable game(although its terribly bad optimized on PS4). I had hours and hours of fun playing and collecting trophies until I got platinum. For sure not the best game ever, but still, worth buying

    One of Bethesda's biggest missed opportunities, so much of this game could have been great but as with all Bethesda games it was released in a state resembling half finished and had things that should have been day 1 pushed on us with DLC and the rest left to modders. Microsoft please save this franchise.

    It's a good game if you love the Fallout series. The bad reviews are mostly about the price, which has dropped in the meantime and the Creation Club of Bethesda. I do not like the CC move either, you don't have to use it. If you're new to Fallout 4 I recommend to take a look at Nexusmods.

    The first and only fallout game I have played (sadly) and I had a lot of fun looking back at it. I plan to play other titles thanks to Gamepass so my opinion on this game could change, but for now it’s a solid 7. I would say it’s pretty good but doesn’t excel at anything.

    The add-ons really add a lot of depth to the story. I do wish they could be more thoroughly integrated into the main map instead of being totally separate locations.
    Mainly, after playing it for so long, I'm roughly 98% sure that the main character is supposed to be a synth. It's definitely more interesting to think of it this way when you realize just how advanced technology is becoming in contrast to the wasteland that still exists.
    Overall, the story itself is ambiguous enough to be interesting, though the dialogue can occasionally be more engaging than it is.
    The settlement building isn't bad, but I feel like it breaks the gameplay flow a little bit to be so focused on junk.
    Overall, I had a lot of fun sinking into this character, especially in Survival mode. If you play this, you must play it on Survival mode! It makes the role-playing aspect much more engaging as you need to eat, drink, and sleep, you can get ill, and ammo has weight so you have to be strategic with what you carry. It's honestly fun to be scared of half the creatures at low levels.
    I definitely recommend this, though it may not be for everyone. But I'm enjoying my no-VATS, anti-factions playthrough...

    I love Fo4! I'm not sure why the ratings aren't higher. I see people pouting about the story and things like the dialogue not saying what you select it to. The storyline is awesome. The only thing i wish was that the endings had a bit more substance to them but over all it's an excellent game. I love fallout 3 NV and now 4.     Добавили это идиотское строительство, кому это надо? Хотели объять все жанры - не выйдет!
    Производительность на PS4 так себе, fps часто сильно падает.
    Опять таки та атмосфера апокалипсиса, какая была в третьей части, пропала, толи из-за картинки, толи, почему то ещё, не знаю.
    Ещё нет русской озвучки, а жаль, погружение в мир игры страдает. А для таких атмосферных игр это очень важно.
    О, эти возрождающиеся противники. Это же Fallout, как я понимаю, очень дорогая игра, а не какая то бюджетная инди разработка. Так навскидку. Я зачистил от супер мутантов один дом, когда вернулся в эту локацию из соседней, дом был опять полон этими же мутантами и так много раз. Хотели заполнить жизнью мир игры? Ну замените мутантов на рейдеров, а за тем на каких-нибудь гулей. А то замочил мутанта, ушел, вернулся, а он опять живой, на своём же месте, трупы пропали. Ё маё, это же портит всё ощущение живого мира! И куда исчезли мои любимые кентавры?
    А в остальном вроде ничего, шутан подкрутили, анимацию тоже, броню проработали, а так же.........всё.

The leveling up system is no longer enjoyable either, and the writing and plot are so bad and downright insulting to the intelligence of the player that it feels like Bethesda just gave up caring. Fallout 3 was a love letter to the original Fallout games, while this felt like it was just an excuse for Bethesda to keep their hands onto the Fallout IP.… Expand

    I Really like the fallout series and have played all of the previous games and to say i was exited for this one would be an understatement. i was really hoping that 4 would be as good as 3 and i am exited to say they are very close in quality. I highly recommend this game even if there are some parts that aren't amazing.

    tbh it was my first open-world game that I played and boy oh boy it was legendary the only thing I think is not good in this game is The Minutemen missions it forces u to complete them by Preston Garvey
    only talks about those poor settlements that need help and if u chose to do it later the mission just fails in a matter of time but great game after all

    Fallout 4 leans to the Shooting side of things. It strips down the gameplay from the actual RPG elements and offers a meta-nuclaer shooting gallery which of course keep its charm and gameplay wealth but also feels a little too friendly for the new comers. The Base builder mode is unnecessary, boring and irritating. Unfortunately, overall, there are no steps forward for this Nuclear Holocaust Behemoth of the video games industry. Only steps sideways.
