LEVEL (Czech Republic)Oct 7, 2020Fall Guys is an extremely addictive and accessible fun for the entire family. It is hilarious even when you are losing terribly, which makes it the biggest hit of the summer and possibly also the winter ahead of us. [Issue#306]
-
Aug 11, 2020The existence of Fall Guys is a boon for those who wish to partake in the battle royale craze, but lack the dexterity and fast reflexes a shooter requires. The highs are high and the lows are low. Games flow pretty quickly and there’s definitely a playerbase for the title for now. Let’s hope Mediatonic will develop more features such as new events, the ability to create private lobbies, crossplay and make it available on platforms it didn’t launch on. If this first week is any indication, we’re in for a lot of Fall Guys this Fall, guys!
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a joy to play, fun for all levels of video game players, and will only get better from here...In a year full of big releases like The Last of Us Part 2 and games that are uniquely up my alley like Desperados 3, it’s hard to see anything beating out Fall Guys as my favorite game of 2020.
-
Aug 24, 2020Fall Guys is a family-friendly battle royale and a game of the year contender.
-
Aug 12, 2020It's never ceased to bring me smiles. It's consistent happiness. Fall Guys is why I play games, and if my biggest complaint is that I can't get more people in on the fun, that's a pretty good sign for its future.
-
Aug 10, 2020A fine mix of Takeshi’s Castle absurdity and nail-biting Battle Royale action. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the ultimate palate cleanser, almost always fun and enjoyable over long or short bursts of gameplay. Time will tell whether this hilarious and silly game will have longevity but with new levels, costumes and features on the way, the good times are sure to keep on rolling.
-
Aug 7, 2020Fall Guys is fun, really fun, and that is one of the most important things. Thanks to its fantastic design and its evolving concept, it is clear that it’s here to stay.
-
Aug 7, 2020There is a very good reason why Fall Guys has taken the world by storm already; it is absurdly, addictively brilliant fun. Give in to the jelly beans, you will not regret it.
-
Aug 6, 2020I'm convinced Fall Guys is going on to be absolutely massive. The game has been out for a matter of days, and already seems to have cultivated a massive community of players who, even as I write this, are rushing to social media to share their own hilarious blunders and last-minute victories. Mediatonic have created a party game that's equal parts unpredictable, accessible, maddening, and laugh-out-loud funny. The most thrilling thing about it all? I suspect things are only going to get bigger, better, and infinitely more bananas from here on out.
-
Aug 6, 2020A breath of fresh, bright and breezy air after a summer of hard-hitting AAA’s, Fall Guys cements itself as an essential addition to your party library. Believe the hype.
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys is one of the best online party games of the generation, offering a hilarious and intense battle royale with a ridiculous amount of customisation. A speedy pace and a substantial amount of different modes at launch mean that the game is always fresh and exciting. Even the Battle Pass and store are some of the fairest and less money-grabbing I have seen. Fall Guys is a must-play.
-
Aug 6, 2020Nothing else has ever paired high tension with complete silliness like this, and Fall Guys reveals we should've been doing it a long time ago.
-
Aug 7, 2020Fall Guys doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s hard not to grin after a few rounds of delightful diversion. Whether by yourself or with friends, this refreshing and ridiculous game makes every triumph and failure into a celebration.
-
Aug 19, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a hard game not to love. Even the most cynical and jaded gamers would have to jump through a lot of rotating hoops to call this fun-filled extravaganza anything less than a revolution in online gaming.
-
Aug 11, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout delivers a great party game mixed with the battle royale genre. Mediatonic managed to deliver something fresh and frantic that will appeal to every kind of gamer (and even non-gamers).
-
Aug 13, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is one of the funniest experiences of the year. Despite the connection errors and simple current state, the game has the potential to be as popular as other titles in the battle royale genre.
-
Aug 11, 2020One or two nitpicks aside, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a ridiculously good time and one of the standout titles of 2020.
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys balances frustration and enjoyment perfectly, handing you victory at the expense of someone else whilst snatching it away from you just as much. Despite some irritating, luck-based team games, Fall Guys is a one of a kind experience that will only get better season to season. It's the most fun I've had with a game in years.
-
Aug 5, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is worth playing for multiple reasons. It’s fast-paced, silly, and fun. It’s a unique take on the battle royale formula. It’s great in short bursts or longer play sessions. This is just a really entertaining online multiplayer game, and it’s some of the most fun you’ll have with a game this summer.
-
Aug 7, 2020Fall Guys is a crazy and cozy take of the battle royale concept. Mediatonic did a brilliant job in creating a social platform with 11 hectic events, with the classic “easy to learn, difficult to master” party gameplay. If the British studio keeps supporting the game with new content, it has the chance to become a proper classic.
-
Aug 10, 2020Net of some small defects that can be filed without particular problems by the small development team, at present the game represents the perfect basis for a sort of platform that can be expanded in the years to come with increasingly crazy mini-games and costumes resulting from collaborations involving famous brands (in this regard there are already those who are coming forward).
-
Aug 6, 2020Simply put, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is brilliant. Its creative take on a much-loved genre will keep fans coming back for more. Although there are teething issues, these are minor concerns that will be resolved. Featuring 25 mini-games with more in the pipeline, expect to spend plenty of time with Fall Guys.
-
CD-ActionOct 15, 2020Sixty funny characters crammed together on a small area, competing with each other, while avoiding various traps and causing all sorts of unpredictable, amusing situations – what’s not to like here? The rules are simple and the entry threshold is low, so pretty much anyone can pick up Fall Guys and instantly have fun. [10/2020, p.60]
-
Aug 28, 2020Fall Guys is an excellent chaotic multiplayer game that can be played by people of any skill level, and that is its greatest strength. Sadly repetition has well and truly set in after several weeks of play, but if the developers at Mediatonic keep dishing out updates and new content on a regular basis, this could be just as influential and essential as Rocket League.
-
Aug 20, 2020Entertainingly chaotic obstacle course à la Battle Royale.
-
Aug 13, 2020Despite its low price tag, the vague roadmap and bare bones nature of Fall Guys is hard to ignore, raising some sustainability questions as the game aims to remain relevant in a crowded market in the weeks and months to come. But for now, Fall Guys is easily one of the most widely accessible and consistently amusing massive multiplayer games of this year, as the race for the next crown continues to remain just as thrilling after hours of matches.
-
Aug 12, 2020If Fall Guys can keep up its current momentum with a steady stream of skins and minigames, I see no reason why it can’t be one of the top contenders in the battle royale genre. It’s got the charm, the fun gameplay, and the multiplayer communituy focus that’s as fun to watch as it is to play, and these beans don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
-
Aug 12, 2020Fall Guys takes a bit of skill, a lot of dumb luck and a truckload of frustration, mixes it all together and produces one of the most imaginative multiplayer experiences around. Sure, I still might suck at online games but it’s never felt this good to be so bad.
-
Aug 10, 2020Fall Guys is an exhilarating online competition you can enjoy in bite-sized chunks; a distillation of the joy and accomplishment present in other battle royale games without the violence or high skill requirement. There are some fumbles, but it has the potential to grow.
-
Aug 10, 2020Not all its levels were created equal, but more often than not, Fall Guys delivers a fun, unique and quite often hilarious gaming experience, perfect with friends or by yourself.
-
Aug 10, 2020Fall Guys is a quick breath of incredibly fresh air, being both fun and infuriating but always hilariously amusing.
-
Aug 10, 2020Fall Guys is an absolute delight. It feels like a natural evolution of the battle royale genre that abandons the expectation of violence and exchanges it for a bright, colourful multiplayer experience that sinks its hooks in and refuses to let go.
-
Aug 7, 2020This is not only the game we want in 2020 — but it's the game we need. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a comfort blanket that provides some warm, friendly fun with friends.
-
Aug 7, 2020Prolific server issues and slim bonus settings are holding Fall Guys back for now, but for the time being, the wobbly obstacle course battle royale forges its own path. It's easy to envision the game only getting bigger from here on out—especially considering this launch era has been declared as Season 1, battle pass and all. As a foundation, Fall Guys is an endlessly engaging one. I'll be chuckling as I fumble to finish lines for quite some time.
-
Aug 7, 2020Full of cute and cuddly jellybean dude bumbling into each other in a race for the crown, Fall Guys is just about the most wholesome battle royale imaginable, and a whole lot of fun.
-
Aug 7, 2020A collection of exciting minigames and a smattering of every colour under the rainbow makes Fall Guys a consistent delight, even if it can also be a frustrating one at times. A few quality of life annoyances aside, it sets itself apart from both the party and battle royale games that inspired it in its own ludicrously fun way. I may only have a handful of crowns to my name so far and can’t wait to get hold of more, but most importantly I’m looking forward to the excitement, yells, and laughs I’ll have on my way to them. Joining the frosty, war-torn Verdansk and the wild, looming cliffs of King’s Canyon is an ocean of pink slime that stretches as far as the eye can see. I know where I’d rather be.
-
Aug 6, 2020The game does exactly what it promises: It's a fun and entertaining game show in a colorful look and, thanks to the small minions, a lot of good humor. The big problem - and the developers want to address this as quickly as possible - is the lack of variety. More mini-games, variations of the rounds and one or the other new modes are needed. At the moment, despite all the fun, you can't shake the feeling that you are still in the early access phase of a future multiplayer hit. But I am hopeful that new content will follow very quickly.
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a crazy party game based on the Takeshi's Castle TV show: guaranteed fun on PC and PS4.
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys is the Battle Royale game for those who don't like Battle Royale games. This is enjoyment and positivity in its purest form with a long list of events that are primed to put a smile across your face, no matter whether you're playing alone or with friends. Your family will catch you chuckling, your buddies won't forget that time you cried with laughter, and you'll do it all over again because there’s nothing else like it. Fall Guys is just the best.
-
Power UnlimitedAug 23, 2020So is the hype surrounding Fall Guys justified? Yes for sure. However, it will not be very durable unless the game is regularly updated.
-
Aug 13, 2020Fall Guys is a big hit and it is more than justified. The bizarre minigames lead to wonderfully chaotic situations. It's a shame that not every game is equally fun and the team games often feel unfair, but the fun is too great to let that ruin it.
-
Aug 7, 2020Much like a goofy game show, the zany antics of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will appeal to gamers of all types. Though the first season has some nasty bugs and Show duds, those that bring some patience into this battle royale will enjoy their race to the top.
-
Aug 5, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a little bubble of happiness in a genre - battle royale - that easily boils down to gun battles...The simple fact of having tasted it makes you want to see more. The result is a good game, which will undoubtedly become very good with the arrival of new challenges and the correction of small technical problems.
-
Nov 9, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a game that bets on simplicity and entertainment, with very good sensations and awaiting tweaks that enhance it even more.
-
Aug 10, 2020Fall Guys is a fun, wholesome minigame mix that anyone can play. There’s something really unique in its physics and battle royale combination, and it’s easy to understand why there’s so many people loving its action. However Mediatonic and Devolver will probably need to keep adding new mechanics and minigames every so often if they want to prevent it from turning… genuinely repetitive.
-
Aug 7, 2020With its short games and easy-to-grasp mechanics, Fall Guys is easily the most approachable and welcoming battle royale yet. Its bursting color and varied game modes do a good job of reeling you in and keeping you hooked, even if a handful feel at odds with the easygoing nature of its premise. It can be disheartening to have a game end prematurely due to uneven team matches and, worse still, when you're forced into one of Fall Guys' unsatisfying finale modes. But neither are enough to derail the fun Fall Guys consistently generates, with its chaotic obstacle courses and earworm soundtrack ensuring you'll be coming back for more.
-
Aug 6, 2020Exactly the sort of fun, colourful, and purposefully silly multiplayer game the world needs right now, even if it’s not exactly the most polished video game of the year.
-
Aug 6, 2020Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a grotesque battle royale dressed as a party-game, which gives hopes to 60 poor candidates to triumph over all the others every five minutes or so. Fun, colorful and justly unfair, Mediatonic's game just need to bridge the distance with new stages and a better interface with its second season.
-
Aug 5, 2020Fall Guys is a fun party game that wonderfully replicates TV’s silliest game shows, but replaces the boring humans with lovely bumbling egg monsters. The speed with which it catapults you through rounds means that you’ll see much of what it has to offer early on, but I always felt compelled to keep playing regardless. Hopefully, Mediatonic is able to regularly update it and keep the party going long after its launch.
-
Aug 10, 2020The funniest game of the summer. The perfect party game. A mix between Takeshi's Castle and Ninja Warrior. It has a lot to improve on (A LOT), but if it does, it also has a bright future.
-
Aug 7, 2020There is a very promising kernel at the core of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. With some more game mode variety, some basic controller and accessibility options, and a stable player base, I could see it being a great alternative to other live-service games. It just isn’t quite there yet.
-
Aug 10, 2020Even when Fall Guys is working perfectly as intended—no server issues, quick matchmaking, good teammates, balanced levels—its appeal is limited.

Aug 7, 2020A must-play if you already subscribe to PlayStation Plus. A hearty party-game recommendation if you can convince online friends to join in. A tough sell for loners or couch co-op players.
