    Game is genuinely terrible the fact that this game got a 79 shows that critics dont put any effort into their reviews or are EA shills. Broken game mechanics, spamming in ranked, bugs, and missing fighters are just a few of the problems in this game. This game is 100% the worst AAA game ive ever played its a broken mess. For the love of god UFC please do not renew EAs contract and drop EAGame is genuinely terrible the fact that this game got a 79 shows that critics dont put any effort into their reviews or are EA shills. The ping and response in the game is terrible. The graphics are worse than the 3rd part. The realism of the game has disappeared altogether, it has become an arcade game.     Initially the game is quite fun when booting it up and playing for the the first few hours. The fighters look great and animations for moves are as better as ever.

    The career mode is a move in the right direction compared to recent instalments, however most of it is just filler and becomes really repetitive.     Create a fighter is easy to use and you can be as in depth or ridiculous as you want it to be. The fight now matches are typical ones you’d expect and have featured before. K.O mode is your typical fighter mode with each fighter having a health bar and going best out of three similar to your Tekken or MK games. The extra modes again just seem bland and like they are there to fill some space however I’m sure some people will find joy out of them.

    Gameplay wise there are some improvements, however the ground game isn’t exactly tweaked as they may have advertised. There’s just simply been an assist option, whilst this makes it easier to transition on the ground by giving you three options, it also makes it a lot easier and more predictable for opponents to counter transitions. This is the area of the game that still needs work the most.

    The submission system has improved once you figure out how to use it properly as the game doesn’t do the best job of explaining it to you.

    The game in its current form does feature a game breaking bug, occasionally when loading into online fights, ranked, blitz etc, the character select background screen will basically takeover the screen and impede you from seeing the fight your taking part in. This became extremely frustrating as it extended to every mode of the game.

    Overall it’s a fun experience that looks good and is enjoyable but still feels lacking in some areas of the game. Career mode has taken a step in the right direction and hopefully they can further improve on that in future instalments
    If online is where you spend most of your time, you’ll be really disappointed. Best not to pick this one up until the purple screen bug is fixed for this one    … Expand

    Typical EA cut and paste. The last game came out in January of 2018 and all you could add is 15-20 new fighters? There are top ranked guys in their weight classes that are not in the game. UFC undisputed 3 came out 8 years ago and EA still can’t make a game that beats the game play. The gameplay sucks on this one. Take downs are unstoppable and the animations are pretty bad compared to EATypical EA cut and paste. The last game came out in January of 2018 and all you could add is 15-20 new fighters?     All the additions were good in theory but the execution isnt there. career mode is not very good either only immersive for the first like 5 fights and then its just the same as last year

    Same game with a worse skin. And the only changes they made are not only cosmetic but have managed to make the graphics far worse than the last installment. The "improved" grappling is a glitch orgy and EA should be ashamed of this abomination

    I'm a huge MMA fan and have been for over for 20 years. I've played almost every MMA game and get them the day they're released with hopes I won't be disappointed.

    I thought EA ufc 1 was a step back from Undipusted 3 but that's to be expected since it was their first one. UFC 2 was better but UFC 3 was a step back and UFC 4 is yet another step back.     Even such a simple option as: changing the uniform of a fighter in an official fight is impossible
    Why such a short career history?
    What an arcade wrestling system?
    Submissions, where stamina is taken only from the defending fighter, this is generally a complete imbalance

When it does work (never now), CAFs in ranked is a mess, so is forcing people to play in only one division. Roster is small and missing 40% of ranked fighters. Grappling system even more broken than before, especially full mount GnP. Career mode was meant to be improved but afterOnline completely broken from purple screen of death. Спамить клинчем можно вечно - от него никто не защитится, такой функции тупо нет. Я буквально встречаю соперников топа которые просто спамят    1 балл за новых бойцов. The clinch that they “improved” and “revamped” is honestly terrible , you could throw a right over hand and reach out to engage the clinch meanwhile Francis is licking his chops getting ready to Chris brown you.     I wasn’t exactly enjoying the game at launch with the amount of micro-transactions making it feel like the free-to-play mobile version. I am disgusted at the addition of advertisements in game which were not present at launch or in reviews. This is a cheap cash grab by EA and I will endeavour to get a refund as this was not in the product I initially purchased.

    This is the worst UFC game so far, actually this is the worst sports game so far. Animal heads, stupid clothing, backyard fighting. all things that are not in the actual UFC. EA strikes again with another buggy, unfinished, rushed out piece of crap. They are incapable of creating anything decent anymore. I'm done with the series until they find another company to make their games

    Making us watch Ads in a $60 game that we bough just TWO WEEKS after launch? This is absolutely ridiculous. I feel sorry for the people who actually put months of effort into the game only to have its reputation destroyed by EA’s scummy, penny pinching decision. Congratulations on losing yet another regular buyer.

    In spite of sporadic issues with the controls and the monetization model, UFC 4 is a great fighter, even if one bases it solely on the expansive career mode. As I currently celebrate my first championship title and defending it, I wholeheartedly recommend this one, not only to fans of the sport, but to anyone looking for their next fighting game fix.

    Long-time players will be disappointed at Joe Rogan’s absence from the commentary booth this time around, even if Daniel Cormier and John Anik’s excitable tones are perfectly serviceable. And that’s a phrase which perfectly sums up UFC 4 in general. It won’t surprise MMA fans, but it should delight. [Issue#180, p.72]
