Well it may be ok, but I want game in which when I hit other car driving 200 mph the cars should... just react like they should. See the example Burnout made years ago. I want to drive fast and feel it. Well... I really would love to see another Burnout instead of "Driveclub" "GTurismo" "Forza" tank-car "simulation"...

However the visuals are stunning, every car and every scenery is perfectly executed as they blend into gorgeous settings from all around the world. It's just a shame that every car is so forgettable due to the uninteresting driving mechanics and limited car selection, capped at just 50 vehicles. Apparently the online is the main strong point of this game, but unfortunately having acquired the PS PLUS version, I am limited to an offline version, as well as being denied most of the few cars that are available in the original version. Driveclub is jaw-dropping to look at. It is fun, adrenaline-pumping and easy to get to grips with. The poor release unfortunately damages the score, but afterwards, Driveclub has improved significantly. Purchasing this game at a low price is absolutely worth it.

this game is fun. this is a pure arcade game and with a lot of quality. I advice this game for lovers and nostalgic of PGR. Nice graphics and gameplay with sublime cars.

For newcomers I think the content is more than enough and for old fans of racing games there is a Season Pass at the price of 25 dollars that triples the game's content. It will be kinda hard for people who have not tried racing games before, as the AI is aggressive and the game does not forgive bad drivers. One very important feature that is missing is the local coop which is really a shame for such a game. Highly recommended regardless. Expand

I was excited to play this game since it got comparisons to Project Gotham Racing, but after playing it, the excitement went away. I found this game to be really boring and I honestly wasn't too impressed with the graphics. I just finished Grid 2 on PC, and I felt that the gameplay was smoother (60 fps vs 30 fps) and the graphics were better.

I recommend renting this game before

I recommend renting this game before buying if you're on the fence about it. I bought this due to a lot of positive user reviews, but sadly a 30 fps racing game with no soul just doesn't do it for me. Graphics aren't everything!

Definitely not a bad racing game by any stretch of the imagination, especially considering the relatively low amount of racing games on the PS4 alongside it, such as The Crew, Ride and NFS: Rivals. Honestly I wasn't expecting much from it based on things I heard about it in the past, but once I played it, I put that outlook behind me, What I found was a very solid racing game as a whole. The driving is tight and challenging, encouraging lift-off to aid going around corners, the detail and textures, particularly in vehicles and particle effects are stunningly photorealistic, particularly the rain effects (the best I've seen in a game so far), and personally I loved playing in the first person camera. It felt dynamic, like every little input you made had an effect.
On the negative side though, my one major complaint regards the Tour mode. I've played a lot of racing game careers, and Driveclub, I thought had one of the most shallow career modes I have ever experienced. The progress you make in career is tangential to the leveling system, the latter which measures "Fame" (think PGR's Kudos but in Driveclub) in all game modes, which you earn to unlock cars and liveries mainly. Because of that I felt that there was no reason to play the Career, but just continue racing and drifting again and again. I mean, what are the career stars materially earning me?
Other complaints, the driving can get TOO challenging in extreme conditions, the soundtrack could be more inspired, the damage, while incorporating detailed scratches is generally weak and the events are too strict, deducting Fame for veering off-road and hitting the track or other cars.
Overall thought, if you're looking for a pure social racing experience, I'd recommend getting it at a lower price, maybe €30 or so. Don't expect much from the game though, the single-player experience is shallow at best, play multiplayer for the best Driveclub experience.

I bought it on Amazon for $30 bucks and I rather enjoyed it. It did more right than wrong unlike The Crew. It has nice graphics, decent physics engine, good online interface and a nice variety of race modes. However limiting the vehicle roster to only European Marquees was a little disappointing (I knew this going in) but the vehicles are represented very well in their rendering. Also the online club, modes and challenges are excellent.

This game has 1 major problem though, Mobile Racing games. Yes, Your cell phone probably has access to a better racing game. I refer more specifically to Real Racing 3. While the graphics won't match up for obvious reasons the physics model is just as good and offers a better variety of cars and more of them (50 vs 109) with time shunted multi-player. Also it offers real racing damage that degrades the cars performance offer incentive to drive better and not crash about. Also you can mod and tune (in a limited fashion) almost every vehicle.

I am glad I was not an early adopter and missed its tumultuous release. However it is an enjoyable and beautiful game to play if you want something that isnt too serious simulation like. I recommend it but, again, not for more than 30 bucks.

Driveclub follows what became a very worrying trend in 2014. Games constantly over promising and constantly under delivering. The true problem with this trend is that it immediately sets a game up for failure which is sad because most games which underperform still have many elements which are worth praising. Whether it be AAA titles such as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin'sDriveclub follows what became a very worrying trend in 2014. Games constantly over promising and constantly under delivering. The true problem with this trend is that it immediately sets a game up for failure which is sad because most games which underperform still have many elements which are worth praising. Whether it be AAA titles such as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin's Creed Unity or even other driving games such as Ubisoft's The Crew, 2014 was a rocky year which saw many fan expectations go up in flames mainly due to the unrelenting power of the HYPE train. 2014 saw many underperformers and Driveclub is certainly amongst them.

Driveclub looked to be this amazing next generation online driving game that would push the boundaries of a virtual driving experience. The graphics looked close to reality and the gameplay smooth and enjoyable. However this wasn't to be. The graphics whilst good underdelivered and the gameplay feels clunky and not quite complete. The driving mechanics are poor and personally I believe they can't even compete with Forza 4, a last generation title. It is so easy to lose control of the car that drifting becomes a massive challenge and a rare sight when done properly. Don't mistake this for being an enjoyable challenge. This is poor development and the fact that Driveclub was delayed so that the game could be polished makes it even more of an embarrassment that it is more fun to drive on a last generation xbox exclusive title than on the system seller racer that Driveclub was supposed to be.

I could criticise Driveclub all day, believe me. However as with most things these days, there are things that it gets right. The progression system is particularly satisfying and gives reason to keep playing. I have a fond memory of unlocking a Maserati at level 5. The sense of achievement you get with every unlock is one of the big things Driveclub does well. The tracks are also very good. The simple variety you get from just reversing the circuit is often more than enough to ensure Driveclub doesn't become tedious, however it far from makes up for poor driving mechanics in a DRIVING game. The driving really is poor and shockingly unrealistic. It feels like your driving a box on wheels.

In conclusion Driveclub is a mediocre driving game. The satisfying progression system along with good track variety and good graphics, all encourage replay value. However the good graphics are not as good as we expected and are undermined by the gameplay anyway. The gameplay is clunky and in no way does it feel like your driving an ACTUAL car, you can easily tell it's a game is what I'm saying. Mainly though all of Driveclub's negatives emphasise one thing clearly. Even as a hardcore do or die driving game fan, you don't have to or even need to buy it. There are much better driving games about. Funnily enough a lot are on last gen. Go and pick up any Forza game and you'll be happier. If you want to stay on next gen though, just buy Project Cars or wait for the new Need for Speed because in a driving game, driving mechanics are everything.

I accept there is no story line and there is no car modification but hey we have to admit, it is only required when core (racing itself) is weak. This game ticks all the primaries and leave very few in secondaries.
The multiplayer section is flooded with events and players where you don't have to wait or queue up, you spend more time in car rather than menu.
Lets admit it, even after two years of its release no other racer has came to close in graphics and sound department (except NFS which is dumb in so many other areas).
If any racing game is going to beat this GEM in future, it will be none other than "Drive Club 2".

Neither Gran Turismo Sport nor Forza 7 (both 2017) can beat Driveclub, both look like last generation games compared to Driveclub. Driveclub basically is the Destiny of racing games. The gameplay and progression system is great. The driving experience feels asolutely real, the cockpit perspective is so awesome - I cannot play Project Cars 2, and other racing games anymore, they are all generations behind. Sure the driving physics is in no way as realistic as GT Sports or even Assetto Corsa, but it's a nice middle ground between Arcade a la recent Need for Speed games and Assetto Corsa. Unfortunately Sony closed down the developer studio, though many devs moved over to Codemaster to work on an still unannouced game - so let's hope they brought over their awesome game engine and the great driving model. This is the best looking car racing game I have played. Cars and weather is done beautifully here. If you are into driving simulators you probably won't like this one because Driveclub is more an arcade game. It is a shame that you cannot customise and buy cars. You can only change car paint. And even in Performance mode, which will present the best graphics quality and resolution (it appears to be rendered at 1080p) still the graphics quality of the SONY Gran Turismo 7 game is absolutely disappointing, considering the 9.2 TFLOPs of graphics capacity promised by SONY for the SONY PS5.

Just to give you an idea, the Take-Two GTA5 (SONY PS4 Pro version) looks better graphically than the SONY GT7 on the SONY PS5 console.

In fact, running SONY Drive Club game (SONY PS4 version as it was never remastered even for SONY PS4 Pro), through Backward Compatibility mode on SONY PS5, SONY Drive Club still looks better graphically than GT7 on SONY PS5.

When I say GRAPHICALLY, I'm referring to how real (close to reality) the image looks, I'm not referring to frames per second or resolution.

Honestly, my disappointment is such that I would rather pay this price for the SONY Drive Club game remastered for SONY PS5 than this SONY Gran Turismo 7 game that disappointed me horribly in terms of Graphics Quality.

SONY, forget about Ray Tracing, we want Quality Graphics!

When it comes to gameplay, I still prefer SONY Drive Club. The only things I like about Gran Turismo 7 are the Museum, the Car Mall, and the fact that it's the same Car Simulator that follows the pattern of the Gran Turismo series, in addition to keeping the same Tracks from the series, as I did.

But Graphically, the picture is so disappointing that I feel that I was assaulted by the high price charged by SONY for this SONY GT 7 game with these graphics that when playing on SONY PS5, it looks like they are actually being run by SONY PS4 Pro when it is running. in "Performance mode", and appears to run on a SONY PS3 when running in "Ray Tracing mode enabled".

But the worst thing about a game, which is marketed in physical media, is the internet connection required to play, especially Career and/or Single Player mode.
In fact, I really liked being able to play with split screen, me and 03 friends competing, with the screen divided into 04, using the same Console.

That's why it's not worth buying the SONY PS5 or the SONY PS4... oh, how much regret.... The best is GT 6 on SONY PS3, there's no way... Besides, I have a 3D Projector with Active 3D glasses, and I have many Blu-ray Disc 3D movies, but only SONY PlayStation 3 supports 3D.

SONY PS5 and SONY PS4/PS4 Pro will have an advantage over SONY PS3 only in the fact that it supports SONY PS VR, but the graphics quality on SONY PS5 should be much better than SONY PS4/PS4 Pro on VR.

Anyway, the best game for SONY PS4/PS4 Pro & SONY PS5 is without a doubt the game: SONY Drive Club.
The last best SONY Gran Turismo was GT6 for Career mode, and GT Sport for graphics.

But between GT Sport and Drive Club, I prefer Drive Club, especially since Drive Club's graphics are better even than GT7's graphics (which are already better than GT Sport's graphics).
That is, Drive Club is better than all games in the Gran Turismo series, including Gran Turismo 7, Drive Club is better, especially in graphics quality.

GT7 is better than GT Sport in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT7 is the worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
GT Sport is better than GT6 in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT Sport is the second worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.

GT6 is the best game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
On SONY PS3, there is no better racing game than GT6.
On SONY PS4/PS4 PRO, PS5 there is no better racing game than SONY Drive Club, although it has not been remastered even for the PS4 Pro, so there will never be a remastered version for the PS5.

The studio that produced SONY Drive Club was shut down by SONY for making the game stupidly better (in graphic quality) and better looking than any other racing game, humiliating the Gran Turismo series games in such a way that SONY shut it down. the Studio that produced Drive Club, in addition, SONY forbade the remastering of the Drive Club game for SONY PS4 Pro and SONY PS5, as the game was so graphically beautiful that it would make people repulse spending money and play Gran Turismo games.

Gran Turismo Sport was released to try to make people forget about Drive Club, but the failure of "advance in graphics quality" between GT Sport and GT7 is so massive that it's impossible not to compare it to Drive Club and note that both, GT Sport and GT7, are inferior to the Drive Club, graphically.

I recommend your last GT game to be GT6, only available for SONY PS3. If you have a SONY PS4/PS4 Pro/PS5, I strongly recommend, just play Drive Club & Drive Club VR. Stop wasting time with Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7!

Driveclub is a must-have for any PS4 racing fan. It’s ideal for anyone who enjoys a good arcade racer. It’s challenging, but teaches you how to overcome every single one. Because of this, Driveclub is far more rewarding than its peers. This coupled with fantastic graphical fidelity, impressive sound design, and adrenaline-inducing sense of speed makes Driveclub one of the best racing games available on current-gen systems.
