If it wasn’t for the delisting and server shutdown, it would be a contender for one of the best racing games on PlayStation 4. Atmosphere was beautiful, car list was great, the handling was amazing, and overall, if you want a Gran Turismo on PlayStation 4 before Sport, then this is the game for you. I give it a 9 out of 10 without the DLCs.

First I need to say: never play SONY Gran Turismo 7 in "Ray Tracing enabled" mode, because the quality is terrible, it seems to be playing on a SONY PS3, the image resolution at the time of rendering seems to be reduced to 720p and it seems to be just stretched to 1080p/2160p.

And even in Performance mode, which will present the best graphics quality and resolution (it appears to be rendered at 1080p) still the graphics quality of the SONY Gran Turismo 7 game is absolutely disappointing, considering the 9.2 TFLOPs of graphics capacity promised by SONY for the SONY PS5.

Just to give you an idea, the Take-Two GTA5 (SONY PS4 Pro version) looks better graphically than the SONY GT7 on the SONY PS5 console.

In fact, running SONY Drive Club game (SONY PS4 version as it was never remastered even for SONY PS4 Pro), through Backward Compatibility mode on SONY PS5, SONY Drive Club still looks better graphically than GT7 on SONY PS5.

When I say GRAPHICALLY, I'm referring to how real (close to reality) the image looks, I'm not referring to frames per second or resolution.

Honestly, my disappointment is such that I would rather pay this price for the SONY Drive Club game remastered for SONY PS5 than this SONY Gran Turismo 7 game that disappointed me horribly in terms of Graphics Quality.

SONY, forget about Ray Tracing, we want Quality Graphics!

When it comes to gameplay, I still prefer SONY Drive Club. The only things I like about Gran Turismo 7 are the Museum, the Car Mall, and the fact that it's the same Car Simulator that follows the pattern of the Gran Turismo series, in addition to keeping the same Tracks from the series, as I did.

But Graphically, the picture is so disappointing that I feel that I was assaulted by the high price charged by SONY for this SONY GT 7 game with these graphics that when playing on SONY PS5, it looks like they are actually being run by SONY PS4 Pro when it is running. in "Performance mode", and appears to run on a SONY PS3 when running in "Ray Tracing mode enabled".

But the worst thing about a game, which is marketed in physical media, is the internet connection required to play, especially Career and/or Single Player mode.
In fact, I really liked being able to play with split screen, me and 03 friends competing, with the screen divided into 04, using the same Console.

That's why it's not worth buying the SONY PS5 or the SONY PS4... oh, how much regret.... The best is GT 6 on SONY PS3, there's no way... Besides, I have a 3D Projector with Active 3D glasses, and I have many Blu-ray Disc 3D movies, but only SONY PlayStation 3 supports 3D.

SONY PS5 and SONY PS4/PS4 Pro will have an advantage over SONY PS3 only in the fact that it supports SONY PS VR, but the graphics quality on SONY PS5 should be much better than SONY PS4/PS4 Pro on VR.

Anyway, the best game for SONY PS4/PS4 Pro & SONY PS5 is without a doubt the game: SONY Drive Club.
The last best SONY Gran Turismo was GT6 for Career mode, and GT Sport for graphics.

But between GT Sport and Drive Club, I prefer Drive Club, especially since Drive Club's graphics are better even than GT7's graphics (which are already better than GT Sport's graphics).
That is, Drive Club is better than all games in the Gran Turismo series, including Gran Turismo 7, Drive Club is better, especially in graphics quality.

GT7 is better than GT Sport in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT7 is the worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
GT Sport is better than GT6 in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT Sport is the second worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.

GT6 is the best game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
On SONY PS3, there is no better racing game than GT6.
On SONY PS4/PS4 PRO, PS5 there is no better racing game than SONY Drive Club, although it has not been remastered even for the PS4 Pro, so there will never be a remastered version for the PS5.

The studio that produced SONY Drive Club was shut down by SONY for making the game stupidly better (in graphic quality) and better looking than any other racing game, humiliating the Gran Turismo series games in such a way that SONY shut it down. the Studio that produced Drive Club, in addition, SONY forbade the remastering of the Drive Club game for SONY PS4 Pro and SONY PS5, as the game was so graphically beautiful that it would make people repulse spending money and play Gran Turismo games.

Gran Turismo Sport was released to try to make people forget about Drive Club, but the failure of "advance in graphics quality" between GT Sport and GT7 is so massive that it's impossible not to compare it to Drive Club and note that both, GT Sport and GT7, are inferior to the Drive Club, graphically.

I recommend your last GT game to be GT6, only available for SONY PS3. If you have a SONY PS4/PS4 Pro/PS5, I strongly recommend, just play Drive Club & Drive Club VR. Stop wasting time with Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7!

This is the best looking car racing game I have played. Cars and weather is done beautifully here. If you are into driving simulators you probably won't like this one because Driveclub is more an arcade game. It is a shame that you cannot customise and buy cars. You can only change car paint. That's a shame but despite that this game is seriously fun to play.

It's one of the best driving games I have played in a long time. It's very well balanced, it's not too "Arcady" bit just the right amount. I would compare the driving style with Forza. The reason why it only get an 8 on the ratings is because they charge extra for a lot of the cars in the game. Speaking of cars I think the game in general just need some more cars.

The gameplay has a Project Gotham like points system and it's addictive, the graphics are stunning, and the cars are rendered to a near obsessive degree. All of the 100+ cars and Motorcycles (yes Superbikes were added) feel incredibly lifelike and distinctly different.

The weather fx are the best i have ever seen in a videogame and they alter the gameplay immensely. From thunder and lightning rain storms, to blizzard like conditions with zero visibility Driveclub has every type of weather you could ask for.

The season pass is a steal with the ridiculous amount of content and the sheer number of freebies you get with the base game is astounding. The Driveclub BIKES expansion released yesterday (Tue. October 27, 2015) and it's truly AWESOME. The BIKES expansion includes a who's who of superbike manufacturers like Kawasaki, Ducati, Yamaha, BMW, Honda, Dark Horse ect.

The graphics, gameplay, club aspect, and incredible amount of support have made Driveclub the premier racer on the market today. The BIKES expansion just adds that much more life (and fun!) to an already lively game. A 10/10.

The graphic of Driveclub (2014) still looks awesome and is best in class. Neither Gran Turismo Sport nor Forza 7 (both 2017) can beat Driveclub, both look like last generation games compared to Driveclub. Driveclub basically is the Destiny of racing games. The gameplay and progression system is great. The driving experience feels asolutely real, the cockpit perspective is so awesome - I cannot play Project Cars 2, and other racing games anymore, they are all generations behind. Sure the driving physics is in no way as realistic as GT Sports or even Assetto Corsa, but it's a nice middle ground between Arcade a la recent Need for Speed games and Assetto Corsa. Unfortunately Sony closed down the developer studio, though many devs moved over to Codemaster to work on an still unannouced game - so let's hope they brought over their awesome game engine and the great driving model. Driveclub is a good experience either way if you love cars and the thrill of racing like I do. Driveclub isn't perfect though it has it's fair share of issues such as aggressive AI (sometimes) and confusing tracks, but the graphics and sound effects are perfect and well implemented. Driveclub is a good game for racing fans chances are if you enjoy games like the Crew this game will feel more complex but familial. If you are into action packed highway battles then turn away! This game is not for you! I guess I am the rare breed of gamer who can respect Need For Speed's action packed gameplay as well as Driveclubs realistic gameplay and races. The music in the main menu are exhilarating and get me in the mood to race. Driveclub also has a good leveling system while based on how you drive you earn fame that will go to you leveling up and unlocking more vehicles and challenges. Driveclub is a cup of tea that's not for everyone the hardcore racing fans might be turned of by lacking features and easier gameplay compared to the bigger titles out there. While as the arcade racing fans might be turned of by a lack of excitement and nitrous. Casual gamer may simply find the game to boring to play. I say it is a good game to pick up and play because it is as close to a racer you will get without having to buy a simulator and the complex and expensive equipment needed to play with said game. Driveclub can get difficult at times but the game can be learned by almost anyone if just a few games. That does not mean necessarily that Driveclub is a bad game but it is a unique experience. I accept there is no story line and there is no car modification but hey we have to admit, it is only required when core (racing itself) is weak. This game ticks all the primaries and leave very few in secondaries.
The multiplayer section is flooded with events and players where you don't have to wait or queue up, you spend more time in car rather than menu.
Lets admit it, even after two years of its release no other racer has came to close in graphics and sound department (except NFS which is dumb in so many other areas).
If any racing game is going to beat this GEM in future, it will be none other than "Drive Club 2".

Additionally, each of the many cars available are beautifully rendered both inside and out. To play, I personally feel this is leaning very heavily towards arcade, the narrow roads on some tracks/routes offer an incredible sense of speed but do also lead to multiple collisions with other cars but at least this is not just restricted to the players as AI controlled vehicles can be equally aggressive with each other as well, so it never feels unfair.
All in all a great game for the less serious racer who just likes to have a blast down a road or round a track but likes to be dazzled by spectacular graphics and effects. At the price this can now be picked up for, it's a no brainer!

Expand

    Sound: 8/10

+ car design, weather effects, original car lizenz, a lot of good mixed racetracks, fair season pass

    - no car demolition (only optical), takes 1/2 year to work perfect since release date

Conclusion: Drive Club is the best racer up to date, a mix of a arcade and simulation racer (70>30). The Graphics are awesome and the weather effects with rain and snow looks great by day and night races. The number of cars is ok, a well mixed categorie from small cars to hyper class cars with more than 1200 PS. The online mode is after a lot of patches and updating content good, diffrent modes and a huge community will keep you for weeks entertaining. This game shows how a developer supports a game well, after a bad release, they improved the game a lot and now with some big add´s is near perfect. For a 30$ game now, you can´t be wrong!

This game get a bad rep from its early days, but now it's an entirely different matter.
The game is fun, it works flawlessly, and if you also get the season pass, has an absurd amount of content.

One of the best racing games I've ever played.

It really is a shame that this game was released unfinished. Now that the most problems are fixed and several updates are made, this game has still a bad rating but driveclub has become a really great game.

Stunning visuals, great sound, awesome speed and feeling, fixed servers, collision and controls and many new events, cars and even bikes make this game a must buy now for every racing Fan!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. We all know about the problems Driveclub had a launch I mean the game was slated by all the media but since its launch it a completely different racer. With the constant support from Evolution Studios it has evolved into what it was meant to be at launch a pure beast of an Simcade racer. Note that I said Simcade and not simulator or arcade because it's a fine balance of both. You can slide your car like in NFS or simply drive like a pro its your chose. First off Driveclub is visually the best racer you'll ever see, the rain drops on the windscreen to the heavy snow falling as you drive at over 200 mph in a La Ferrari is simple stunning. The dynamic weather makes racing exciting knowing that at any time a race can go from being sunny to a rain storm in minutes, it changes your perception of the track and how you drive your car. The night racing is fantastic and challenging, I found myself immersed in the challenge of keeping my car on the track. The car roster at the start of Driveclub was 50 cars but with the constant DLC support it has grown with manufacturers such as Lamborghini and Nissan being added as well as cars like the Viper and Corvette. Racing is fun, fast, and fluid, the quick challenges that are available while you race keep things fresh, challenges such as drifting around a corner to get the highest points or beating another opponents top speed through a specific sector make racing exciting. All the cars sound spectacular and look amazing inside and out from a Golf Gti to a Ferrari FXX I haven't seen a level of detail that has come close to Driveclubs. photo mode is also a fantastic feature with lots of options of how you would like to take your pictures with various tints and glares that make the cars and environments look photo realistic. Driveclub Bikes witch is a new expansion to the Driveclub universe is very good, it can be bought as an add-on or as a standalone download. There are a good selection of bikes from Honda to BMW to Kawasaki there is plenty to choose from, with more bikes and cars being added as free downloads each month. The bikes look stunning and the sense of speed you get when racing is unrivalled, it adds a whole new dimension to the game and makes the game even more fun. You can also customise the colours of your riders leathers so your rider looks unique. The career mode is challenging to, each event has a certain number of challenges you must complete in order to collect all of the stars and complete that event. There are more new events being added to Driveclub and at the moment there is plenty of racing to be done both on and offline. Online racing can be difficult with some racers preferring to ram others rather then race clean but thankfully you can set up a private room were you and your friends can race in peace, chose your own settings, what cars to race in, how many laps etc.Overall Driveclub is a fantastic game that's accessible to all yet challenging even to the best of racers and provides countless hours of replay-ability and fun. As of writing this review Driveclub is €12:99 for the full game and season pass combined. If you were on the fence about buying Driveclub I recommend you buy it without hesitation, it's a steal at that price for such a good game. Expand

After the **** that was everywhere I admit I completely ignored the game, I downloaded the Plus Version (just played one race and quit) a while ago, and since the whole game with the season pass was on sale a few weeks ago I just downloaded it because from what I heard (and played in the short one race) I was extremely fired up. Now, after several hours in the game, I can fullheartedly say that DriveClub now, after all those patches and DLCs, has become what it should have been at his release - the ultimative PS4 racing game so far.
The graphics are simply put stunning, the weather effects and cars just look breathtakingly aweseome, so is the soundtrack and sound effects. The overall presentation is extremely stylish and polished, menus look very good and are well organised, very short loading times too.
Controls are smooth but need some practise, very good sense of speed overall.
For me, DriveClub is the predecessor of my beloved Project Gotham Racing Series - it plays and rewards exactly the same (no Kudos here though, but something quite same ^^).
The only real downside and complaint I have is the difficulty - DriveClub is very very hard, sometimes unforgiving, the AI is mostly flawless and AI drivers stick together like glued (hello NeedForSpeed) - this leads to some frustration, although I heard a rumor that an "easy difficulty" might be added in soon.
The variety of cars is good, so are the tracks, although there is a real lack of "city"-tracks.
Cant say a thing about the multiplayer though, I dont play games online anymore, so my rating is just for the single player!
All in all, at such a low price, theres hardly any better choice for PS4 racing fans - and DriveClub looks and plays so stunning that it also appeals to people that are not so into racing games. It belongs to the PS4 library!

The amount of cars available is crazy, and although this game may not be to the car development fans likes, there are enough cars and varied performances to keep any racing fan interested.
The online racing is fast and frantic, with different types of event for variety, and although any racing game will attract the hoonatic who likes to crash, some penalties for their actions tend to nullify their worst excesses. Saying this more balance to these penalties could be developed to make the ardent racers experience better and for them to feel less aggrieved when one of these hoonatics hits them into a corner and the less respectful racer comes off best. The club aspect is also a good feature allowing like minded friends to work together with a shared goal, not often seen in any game other than co-op shootem-ups. overall a good game which has developed well.

Game play is awesome fun, each car has its own cons and pros. it is playable with the controller but steering wheel is highly recommended to get the best out of it. I have dedicated, probably close to 250 hours to this game and i will say hands down its best fun i had with a racer since Hot Pursuit 2010 (not including simulators).

Great selection of cars out of the box, plus loads of DLC cars, personally i will wait until all DLC is bundled together at the right price.

Graphics are stunning, especially during rain races and its not just eye candy, rain really affects game play in a big way.

Online play can be chaotic in a way that that people will slam full speed into sharp corners or use you as a brake which could make you end up last BUT unlike other games this one rewards you non the less, you gain points for you and your club. if im running last and no chance of catch up i drift and complete challenges. Still online is mad fun either way, even if you end up last you can still overtake those who play like retards and have proper racing with good players.

Do not let user score of 5.9 scare you away. You see when the game came out it was reviewed by many Xbox owners who do not even own PS4 or the game or ever played it. but this is modern gaming for you. i usually do not decide on a buy by the review unless its lower than 5/10.

The mere fact that this is the first racing game I've liked after Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (The latest one, of course) is surprising, even for me.
The club system needs work though, there isn't incentive enough for players to actively participate in club activities. Give out new cars, or something like that as rewards.
Content-rich updates and free DLCs could strengthen the game even more.

Back when the game came out I would probably have given the game a 7/10. It was fun, but needed something extra. I bought the season pass, craving for more. The season pass is so worth the money. You just get so many new tours and lots of sweet new cars to play with. Evolution studios, is also really dedicated, to listen to feedback, espcially on their facebook fansite. They do frequent updates to keep us informed on the new stuff they are working on and responds to peoples feedback. This dedication is what have helped making this game a 10/10 from me. The love for the game they have made really do shine through with everything in the game. Time trials is so addicting, as I always want to beat my friends best times and try to beat the global leaderboard. Multiplayer is also alot of fun, and there still keep coming new multiplayer modes, which is great. Driving online with your club is fun espcially if you are in a party with your team and talk together while trying to win against the other team or if its just free for all fun. Sure there is some **** races once in a while, but that is not something you can prevent, because some people are just **** drivers. Not the developers fault, The controls of the game is responsive, the weather effects are amazing! And overall this game is just a great arcade racer with loads of hours of fun. I still play it till this day, for the multiplayer, time trials, the continued added new content (cars, tours). I can not reccomend this enough if you like arcade racers. But you have to dedicade your time into perfecting your driving. If you do so, you will have a great time with this game. If you are on edge, to buy this game, download the PS Plus version, and feel free to add my on PS4, my psn is : Sinink . We can do some multiplayer then, or just challenge eachother. It most certainly is an arcade racer, however, prior to release we were led to believe it would be a simulator comparable to that for Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo or the recently released Project Cars and so many people felt cheated and disappointed with the end result. The game is stunning to look at, the choice of cars is adequate although there is a serious lack of American muscle cars and the online and club services work well enough at this stage. Looks like a hugely underrated game. Thumbs up to the developers! Expand

My favorite racing game ever was NFS HP2 for PS3. While that was very arcade like, I loved the sense of speed and racing it gave. With that in mind, lets jump into this review.

Driveclub is that exceptional balance between Arcade and Sim racer; while the physics and controls may not be true to life as some hardcore SIM racers, it is definitely NOT an arcade racer, and they did an incredible job with the physics. You can't just drift mindlessly through turns or correct oversteer in a second. You will spin out trying to floor that SRT Viper out of a tight corner, going 150+ down straightaways on an uneven road environment, not a racetrack, will take some finesse to maintain stability, and your drifts lose momentum very quickly instead of rocketing you at 10000mph through turns. There is definitely a difference in the physics between different cars. And while some are more obvious than others (the F Type R is definitely more tail happy in this game than an AMG GTS, and both are less stable compared to the AWD Huracan), you need to realize that most 500+hp rear wheel drive cars have similar physics when being pushed to the limit, as due most FWD hot hatches, and most AWD supercars. But I will say there is a detectable difference in the feel and physics throughout the cars in this game. And if you're in a race where the weather is dynamic be prepared; you may start out hugging the road in dry conditions only to be sliding around carelessly as rain and snow begin to fall a lap or two later.

The car selection is spectacular. Yea many cars can now be found in added DLCs, especially the American cars everyone was so desperate for (myself included), like the stingray, Viper, Camaro, Charger; yea those can now be had with a DLC, suck it up, you can find this game cheap anyway so it was worth it for me. I've added that, the lambo pack, and some others b/c I want my McLaren 650s and Jag CX75 concept. But the car selection is phenomenal even without the DLC's, and some cars and packs are free to download. I was worried about a lack of recent cars since it was released last year buuuuut not the case. Lambo Huracan, McLaren 650s, AMG GTS, and some amazing hyper cars like the Lykan Hypersport, Koenigsegg One:One, and the La Ferrari, JUST TO NAME A FEW. The car selection is phenomenal. Customization goes as far as paint and livery which is pretty extensive, don't care for all the modding and crap in a game like this. How do you throw a bigger wing on the One:One anyhow?

The graphics, sound, and level of detail in the cars and environments is mother effing mindblowing. The cockpit views are incredible. I typically go with 3rd person views in racers b/c I like to admire the cars beauty as I race, but I find myself trying to master the narrowed vision from the cockpit views or just driving casually in Time Trial modes to enjoy the fanatical level of detail and move the camera around in the cockpit. Even the driver oriented details like flipping the paddle shifters (the hand begins to float in preparation for a shift as the tach climbs, and the feet actively move to hit the gas and brake pedals). Seriously, the detail blew me away. I love getting a sense of what it feels like to be in the cabin of some of these exotics, and this game delivers and delivers and delivers. And while there may not be an extensive list of real world racetracks, there is a beautiful selection of real world locations and tracks which offers an enormous variety of racing conditions, from insane mountain passes to flat out straightaway race tracks.

There's also an extensive single player mode in the form of the Driveclub Tour which is littered with progressive events and subevents for you to progress and increase your level, earning new cars and livery in the process. It offers a lot of fun and challenges. You've also got your quick race, time trial, and drift events you can just jump right into with a car (that you've unlocked) and track of your choice. The menu is beautifully done and easy to navigate, and they've added to the settings to allow you to tweak the smallest things like having a visible tach for the cockpit view to increasing the volume of engine noise vs. environmental sound during races. Turn engine sounds to +3db and get goosebumps from the sound of these machines. Like the interior car views but prefer the exterior engine and car sounds? Settings allow for that as well. Replays can be saved and photo mode is a thing.

This game was definitely released in a hurry before it was complete and polished, but the fact that it's all been ironed out should allow this game the credit and reviews it deserves. It is a fantastic racer for absolutely anyone. Don't whine about how you were expecting Grand Turismo. You want to race a Daihatsu around Silverstone at 15mph? You do that. I prefer to fly in a Huayra through the treacherous North Sea hugging highways of Norway with some stormy weather and rain.

It will be kinda hard for people who have not tried racing games before, as the AI is aggressive and the game does not forgive bad drivers. One very important feature that is missing is the local coop which is really a shame for such a game. Highly recommended regardless. Expand

Season pass adds a lot (Cars, tracks, single player races) and is definitely worth the money unlike a lot of other season passes.

Multiplayer runs okay, could be better but it's pretty much the same to a lot of other racing games.

Cons: Lacking cars(Although they add a free car every month plus a bunch of DLC) lacking music, only 30 fps (Which surprisingly isn't horrible) Aliasing can be pretty in your face sometimes but it's not too bad, could do with some more race tracks though. AI can be pretty goofy. More paint and visual customisation would be nice.

In the end, overall fun game just missing a few things.

If you want a score that reflects how the game stands today and not how it was when it was released, then add +2 points to the user score.

    Solid 8/10 now
I would have given it a 6/10 when the game 1st came out.

racing games are all very different. i have long since lost trust in the idea that what i am controlling feels like the real thing. but driveclub feels good. feels like im throwing a giant piece of metal along the asphalt at some ludicrous speed. then i get better at it, and am satisfied. the game facilitates this.

many are slamming the difficulty, but this bar is set by the player. i have never had more fun playing a racing game when i am trying to break some ridiculously low threshold on my lap / track times in driveculb. and the time i spend in this game is NOT in the tour modes, because getting gold stars just doesn't do that much for me. finding the right racing line does. not for hours at a time, but as a relaxation tool (usually listening to some new music while i play - ingame music is, ahhh, repetitive).

if you currently own, and are whiny about, this game, i recommend turning off the minimap, setting the event crowd size to none (removes turn warning flags), changing the gear type to manual, and seeing how well you can do against yourself. you just might find some combo of track and car that satisfies in a big way, however subtly.

so, ahm, yeah. rant done. go chase some ghosts ;p

Driveclub is a beautiful racer, the best I've played in years. Ive enjoyed every race I've completed, and will continue to enjoy them more. The server issues when the game first released did damage the experience, but only very slightly. The original single player tour was large enough to keep your mind from them. Recommended if you are looking for a racing game that is semi serious. This is not a simulation, nor is it an arcade game, it lies somewhere in the middle; Which is exactly what I was hoping for. There are so many things to consider, such as how the night, rain etc. affect the view up ahead and whether someone will bash into your bumper. These all add to the tension, just as you can bump someone off the road too.

Being someone who's got this game after a few patches and a recent content update I can tell you it's one of the best games on the PS4 right now and one of the best console racers I've played.

Let's take a step back from all of the reviews here and get this clear - Driveclub IS an arcade racer, that is immediately apparent on your first drive so if you're expecting a sim then wait for Project Cars or GT. If you want a casual racer that looks beautiful, has been built around an online experience and you aren't bothered that this game isn't trying to be a serious racer then you'll enjoy yourself - very much so.

Driving physics are relatively simple, cars brake quickly and turn very responsively. You can easily handle when it goes into a slide and you're rarely see yourself arse wrong way on the track. They don't feel heavy, it's like a mix between Ridge Racer and GRID.

The graphics, especially weather visuals are amazing - in this sense Driveclub is in a league of it's own and I think this has distorted peoples views on what this game was trying to be, despite is achieving a stunning realistic look it is still trying to be arcade at the core.

There are two points that lose the perfect 10 from me though and it has been mentioned a few times; the online racing is dirty and there is no motivation to try and take the corners properly. To give you a normal scenario, someone can just use you as a brake and usually come out of top to your frustration and it's something I sincerely hope is patched.

The online experience isn't bad now from a technical point; I've been kicked out of my session a few times but not often, but this for it's still shaky stability loses it a point. I'm impressed by how easy it is to use though and this does give it massive scope to improve.

Driveclub is a must-have for any PS4 racing fan. It’s ideal for anyone who enjoys a good arcade racer. It’s challenging, but teaches you how to overcome every single one. Because of this, Driveclub is far more rewarding than its peers. This coupled with fantastic graphical fidelity, impressive sound design, and adrenaline-inducing sense of speed makes Driveclub one of the best racing games available on current-gen systems.
