    This game is really fun to play, I like the concept! Going through the user generated levels and seeing and playing what other players have created, it is a beautiful community!

    I had this game for a long time now and still don't feel like "playing" it. I really have a problem calling this a game. A game-maker is more like the right word. It's too advanced for a usual gamer and this is not a kids game. BUT i really think that this game is worth supporting.

    Really? This game isn't bad, but it isn't good. Average, i'll say.
    First of all, how this game became top1 on metacritic? What makes it special? I've spent some money on it, and i still didn't get it.
    Meanwhile, some REALLY good games having at least 60-65 score, like Fallout 4, Death Stranding, The Humankind Odyssey and etc.

    Dreams est pas vraiment un bontravail de fusion entre le style et l'action et les mécaniques établies. C'est pas très intense et insatisfaisant, et c'est absolument nul à jouer

    For years before launch, Media Molecule's staff members posted information about Dreams that we now know was completely false.
    They claimed that you could create almost endlessly large levels because of the revolutionary graphics that wouldn't require almost any memory, but instead the "thermometer" that shows how much memory you have left fills up very quickly.
    They claimed that you'd be able to add textures to your materials, when in reality the only available textures are the painterly "flecks" that most users just try to hide as much as possible because nobody likes how they look.
    They claimed that anyone would be able to quickly learn the tools when in reality Dreams is almost as complicated to learn as any other game engine.
    Yet, where is the public outrage? Any other developer would've faced a rage storm over smaller lies.

    But not Media Molecule. Why? Well, you've probably seen the fan-base on social media. They're the ones who post all the ridiculous 10/10 reviews here, despite the many, many flaws in Dreams. They are Media Molecule-worshippers, a sect who pretend that Dreams is this perfect and flawless product despite its many obvious limitations and confusing design choices. Nothing they say or write can ever be trusted.

    One of the absolutely worst things in Dreams is how you vote in the so called "Community Jams" - the competitive side of Dreams where anyone can submit their creations based on themes. Rather than letting you see thumbnails of every submission, to help you quickly ignore all the troll-submissions, you're only given five submissions at a time to vote for, and you can't see any more submissions until you've played every single one of those first five.
    This leads to a voting system that is completely unreliable, because most people just give up voting after having been forced to play dozens of excruciating troll-submissions made only for in-game "imp points". As a result, very few people actually even see the best submissions.

    The so called "imp quest" system is an aspect of Dreams that's already causing many annoying problems. The system rewards you (with in-game points and even PS4 trophies) for completing various quests regardless of how well you do them, which makes thousands of users spam the "dreamiverse" with utter garbage just for the points. In fact, many of the imp quests require that you create a scene and upload it and make it public, which has obviously lead to tens of thousands of awful creations that only make it harder to find good ones.

    The main campaign (story mode), called Art's Dream, is supposed to show off everything that can be done in Dreams, if you have a team of 100 people working on it for many years, and yet it's a sloppy looking 2-hour game about a depressed old dude. Honestly, there is already user generated content that's more impressive in every way. How anyone can be impressed with this campaign is a complete mystery to me.
    The problem with the campaign mode shows the problem with Dreams at large. There are many thousand creations in the dreamiverse, many that small teams of users have worked on for an entire year, since the beta went public in January 2019. And yet there's nothing except some short demos, mini-games and one-level-trials to play. After a year. How many years must Dreams exist before there will be a real game in there? Again, even Media Molecule's own team could only create a 2-hour story with these tools. There's a big gap between what we're told that we can do with these tools and what people actually do with them in real life.

    No, this isn't a 10/10 title by any stretch of the imagination. Most people probably love the idea behind Dreams, the philosophy of its creativity, and confuse it with the actual product.    … Expand

İşin keyfi de bu andan itibaren başlıyor zaten. Çünkü Media Molecule bir oyuncuya kendi rüyasını tasarlamak için tüm imkanları bu oyun ile vermiş. Tabiki oyunun olmazsa olmazı iş birliği yapmak. Tek bir kişinin bir bölümü tasarlaması haftalar sürebilir ve oyun size kendi ekibinizi yaratma imkanı sunuyor. Diğer oyuncuların tasarladığı objeleri de kendi bölümünüzü yaratırken kullanabildiğiniz gibi o kişileri aynı zamanda bölümünüzün emeği geçenler kısmına da eklemiş oluyorsunuz onları. Bence kesinlikle bir baş yapıt mutlaka denemenizi tavsiye ederim . PlayStation VR desteği ve online multiplayer özelliği bir sonraki yamalar ile eklenmesi bekleniyor Oyunun geleceği kesinlikle parlak.     If you do want to make games, this is the best game creation tool since Gary Kitchen's Gamemaker. No prior coding experience is necessary!     In this game there are 2 different main modes. “Dreams Shaping” and “Dreams Surfing”.
    In Dreams Shaping you have the possibility to create whatever your mind wants    Dreams is an incredible experience that has most likely never been done before. Releasing a game engine so powerful and allowing anyone to share their creations and give the possibility to make almost anything is something else.
    In this game there are 2 different main modes. “Dreams Shaping” and “Dreams Surfing”.
    In Dreams Shaping you have the possibility to create whatever your mind wants to make. It’s much easier sculpting and doing logic in dreams compared to Unreal Engine 4 or Unity. Dreams removes the scary coding part and simplifies it with special blocks. There are a lot of tutorials in the game that allow you to learn what each thing does and how to use it. It helps a lot with learning and you will be able to make something special at the end of it. The tutorials aren’t borring. They encourage you to do stuff in your own way. Choose your own colours. Make your own strange shapes. Anything is possible in dreams.
    Dreams Surfing is selfexplanitory. You can surf the creations others have made. Play Animations, Games, Showcases and so much more! It’s a blast. You will also find a game called “Arts Dream”. It’s an epic story game made by the creators of Dreams (Media Molecule). They used all the same tools we have access to in Dreams Shaping. I’ll won’t spoil anything. Play the game for yourself to find out what it’s about.

    Dreams has been, by far, one of the longest games in development. There have been a lot of detractors, especially industry pundits, who did not quite seem to catch the potential of this project unfortunately. I first started seeing potential back when one of the first demos came out. What Dreams has achieved is something almost unthinkable. It is an entire creation suite of video game development. Think Unity, Unreal, engines that modern games are made on. It uses the power of the DS4 and the PS4 Pro to create a very intuitive creative experience. I have not, by any stretch, explored it completely. However, I am definitely a believer who is really happy for media molecule and am still gasping at what they have created here. Someone pinch me. For budding game devs like me, this is a Dream come true, pun intended. If you doubt it, go ahead and look at the stuff people are coming up with!… Expand

Lack of multiplayer, which Media Molecule's predecessor LittleBigPlanet had, creates a sort of disconnect for friends who play or create, when this game needs a strong sense of community. VR support has no signs of appearing anytime soon when this game would be an absolute seller of it. Not being onDreams has limitless potential in its create mode, but also wasted potential as a whole. Lack of multiplayer, which Media Molecule's predecessor LittleBigPlanet had, creates a sort of disconnect for friends who play or create, when this game needs a strong sense of community. VR support has no signs of appearing anytime soon when this game would be an absolute seller of it. Not being on PC and Sony's poor marketing means this game will have a smaller playerbase than it could definitely take advantage of. Ultimately, it seems like the type of game for the average player to boot-up for a few minutes, play work-in-progress/tech demos and then come back some time later when some meaty creations actually exist.… Expand

    I don´t underlook any type of dev software because it can be a powerful tool for very creative people. But like any gaming editor creating is not for all. And like mention in other reviews you´ll have a lot of clunky suff created from brats who are only undertanding and experimenting just to leave it after a while. Even from grown up people who dedicate    Beware. Most reviews smells fishy.
    I don´t underlook any type of dev software because it can be a powerful tool for very creative people. But like any gaming editor creating is not for all. And like mention in other reviews you´ll have a lot of clunky suff created from brats who are only undertanding and experimenting just to leave it after a while. Even from grown up people who dedicate a lot in this stuff you´ll have a mixed experience of ups and downs, most downs. Most people aren´t into this type of games because it requires a lot of time to understand. And once you´ll get used to it can became dissapointing when you see the limitations of the game expecting more. Add to this the fact is having some preassure from MS adressing the consoles battle and Sony haven´t announced their console yet. I will take the reviews with caution.     Confusing menus, impossible to understand what you are doing and where is the cursor, the "game" part is boring, very low and unfunny. Above all, Drems lets you make games in MONTHS when Unity is free, fast and incredible fast to learn. Dreams is very bad done.

    Das Spiel ist einfach Super! Man kann einfach alles machen man kann Musik, Spiele,und viel mehr machen. Das Spiel sollte in jeder Bibliothek hinein der seine Kreativität freien Lauf setzen will und auch jeder der Spiele einer anderen Konsole spielen will denn die Community kann halt einfach alles erstellen und hat es auch haha.

    If you’re a creative person you will love this game if you really enjoy indie titles you will love thus game. If you don’t have patience or like steady action don’t touch it. If you’re on the fence I suggest renting or waiting for a sale. Don’t listen to the 10s it’s not being honest.

    Interesting tool, and some very good creations. But as games, most creations are boring or uninspiring. There are definitely some great ones mixed in though.

    More of a "game" for hobbyist developers rather than gamers

Media molecule was not lying you can create whatever you want, however, to actually Create it how you want is a whole nother story. Dreams PS4 treats everything like a cartoon painting so if your expecting to make aDreams PS4 is a magnificant step in the gaming industry to evolve what is possible, by letting gamers create and share whatever they have in mind that is an amazing thing.     I'll give it a 4 because anyways the rate system on this page seems to be broke, I bought the game digital because of all the 10s and I dont know if people is really loving this game or they're just not being honest but I regret so much buying into the hype. Made some changes because of pony's... The game is pretty much targeted at kids, won't see any grownups playing this. The tutorials are some how fun but using this on a dual shock controller imo is a nightmare. Mouse and Keyboard support is needed, easy to use node structure like unreal and unity. Would like a c# or c++ plugin so I can bring things over from other platforms. I'd like a way to import my own fbx files onto Dreams, if that was possible then **** this would be even bigger. The game deserves more marketing but at the end of the day the community is the marketing strategy, what the community creates is what sells the platform. Is this what you wanted?… Expand

No games deserves 10/10 unless it's perfect in every way, Dreams is not one of them at all. After trying 30 games or more that people have created, I quiting pretty fast because 98% of them are broken and unplayable. It's nice that you have the abulity to createI don't want to be any rude or something, but lets be honest guys, how can a game like this get 10/10? It's far from perfect. No games deserves 10/10 unless it's perfect in every way, Dreams is not one of them at all. After trying 30 games or more that people have created, I quiting pretty fast because 98% of them are broken and unplayable. It's nice that you have the abulity to create your own games, but I see that I just don't have time to spend countless of hours to make one. This game is sorely meant to devolpers, clearly.     Story mode is disappointing short, I mean 2 hours max which is such a shame. If you enjoyed Little big planet in co op don't bother getting this game. Unless uou like to create in create mode.

    What an amazing job Media molecule did with this game. They give us the tool to create something special. We can now dreams of anything we want. U don't have to be a programmer or need some epic game engine to make something special. If u spend time with this tool set n how natural the control felt.

    A gem that not a lot of people will play, and I'm ok with that . I want to say they're missing out, but at the same time they're really not. A lot of unique creations by users, that will keep people who enjoy short 2-3 minute games ( for the most part..there are some exceptions obviously) coming back daily or weekly to check out new games made by the community. I think the diversity of community creations is what's really amazing, from remakes of games, to driving, combat, music, art, scenes, sports, mini-games, the games are endless. It's really like a youtube for games, they weren't lying. The only negatives of this game are hit and miss quality of user created content, which is really not that bad because of the trending and most liked games that are front and center when you surf user generated conent. Who this game is not for is for people expecting 30 minute- 2 hour games made by the community/ or triple a content made by them... its not realistic, so this game is probably not for you. As someone who mainly just plays the game and doesn't create, game is amazing to me.

    Pros:
    Story mode is short, unique, and has a fantastic ending.
    Youtube for short user created games
    Every genre for games imaginable.
    It will only get better as time goes

    So-So:
    Creation tool still feels overwhelming for me.

    Cons:
    Hit or miss ugc.
    short games and mostly demos.

    Dreams is everything. Literally, one the best game i've ever tried. Playing the other creations is as fun as creating those. It's really a work of art. I cannot wait to see what is going to be in the future.

    Tal vez no haya tenido el recibimiento de otros Blockbuster que han debutado en la consola de Sony, con las grandes ventas que se esperaría de estos AAA; sin embargo, esto se debe a la gran medida a que el título está dirigido a un público muy específico, El Creativo.

    Crear en Dreams va más allá de lo que otros títulos de creación de niveles ofrece, ya que en este título podemos encontrar las herramientas para hacer nuestros sueños realidad aunque debo destacar que para poder pulir nuestras creaciones debemos conocer Dreams a fondo y esto se logra de una sola forma; con las misiones del Duende.

    Las misiones del Duende son pequeños tutoriales que nos van adentrando a conocer el funcionamiento de todas las herramientas que dispone Dreams, desde el uso correcto del control hasta las más intrincadas herramientas que nos ayudará a contar nuestras historias.

    Aunque el público objetivo sin duda es el que gusta de crear, Dreams tiene mucho que ofrecer a los que no, ya que dentro del Dreamverso podemos encontrar todas las creaciones de los jugadores que podemos probar, desde lo más simple, como una una pequeña cinemática, hasta los escenarios más increíbles , como un buen RPG.

    Otro gran acierto de Dreams son el uso de controles, ya que podemos elegir entre usar el Dualshock 4 o los PlayStation Moves; a pesar que, para mí fue más cómodo usar el Moves, he platicado con muchas personas que lo llevan mejor con DualShock , esto ya va de gusto, pero resalta la adaptabilidad que tiene para que el jugador pueda crear sus aventuras.

    ¿Es muy difícil crear en Dreams?

    Sinceramente sí, lleva algo de tiempo poder crear algo, más que nada porque lo mencioné antes, primero debes terminar todos los tutoriales que hay en las misiones del Duende, ya una vez aprendida toda la creación va a depender mucho de lo creativo que seas y la paciencia que tengas, ya que aveces crees que hiciste un mecanismo correcto pero no funciona y tienes que repasar el tema. Por ello, la paciencia es fundamental en el juego.

    Dreams es una joya que esta infravalorada ya que nos ofrece la oportunidad de crear, podemos probar los miles de mundos que ya están disponibles dentro del Dreamverso, estos meses que he pasado dentro del título se me va tan rápido el tiempo tratando de crear cositas para mi universo y probando miles de experiencias que van mejorando con el tiempo, un título muy recomendable y a un precio que está por debajo del promedio.    … Expand

    This game is absolutely amazing, even if it can be complicated sometimes. It's basically a game engine made into a PS4 game, which allows for almost limitless creative possibilities.

    Dreams gives you the opportunity to make your dreams come true. Seeing the impact of this game is indicative of its quality and is a title for somebody who loves community supported games like Forge in Halo, Mario Maker and Media Molecules own LittleBigPlanet.

    Hard to put number on this "game" its more creation engine then game it self. But it can give you many hours of creation your own game or playing other people games. I would tell take it on sale and have fun with it :)

    Not just game that allows you to play others creations but also a whole too set to create really anything on your PS4. You can create music, sculptures, paintings, logic systems, characters, instruments, demos, showcases, short movies and of course full games. This is an incredible achievement and I’ve started to become a game developer. Already released two fun games. Yah! I’m hooked.

    O que mais me impressionou nesse jogo, foi a ideia: por que não fazer um jogo onde os jogadores conseguem criar seus próprios jogos dentro dele e compartilhar com a comunidade que possui o jogo? Adorei em todos os sentidos, achei que faltou alguma coisa, mas não consegui perceber o que é, porém recomendo a todos que não tenham dúvidas, se você gosta de criar ou jogar algo criado porO que mais me impressionou nesse jogo, foi a ideia: por que não fazer um jogo onde os jogadores conseguem criar seus próprios jogos dentro dele e compartilhar com a comunidade que possui o jogo?     I was hoping to create the game I had in mind on dreams but it turns out that dreams is more of a painting of cartoons and acts like your a little child, I could not create the game I wanted to create and the tools at hand are very frustrating to use in the game and it has left me extremely disappointed and leaves a bad starts for 2020.

    Una obra maestra del diseño de videojuegos en general, que aunque les duela mucho a los trolls de xbox, (como los de abajo XD, páteticos) es algo que solo Sony tiene y espero que llegue a PC despúes, pues aumentaría los posibilidades aun más. Una excelente compra.

    Dreams is an incredible creativity tool, it has undoubtedly marked a new milestone in terms of content creation from the comfort of your console. It has a series of easily understandable but long-lasting tutorials. This is an experience that requires patience and time, but ends up satisfying any player. Excellent!

    Though game to rate. If you're into this kind of stuff it's definitely 10/10, if you're not into creating and expect great games you'll probably looking at a 6-7/10. If you're something in between and you want ocassionaly check what are new, unique lindielike games than you'll safely get 8-9/10 from Dreams

    Dreams is def a game changer and a positive step foward in growing creativity within the games industry. Nothing else like it out there. Its just nonstop fun no matter what genre you prefer theres always something to satisfy your gaming fix. I hope it gets the support it deserves.

    This game is a joy to behold, the campaign included is relatively short but does well to highlight what can be achieved with the creation tools. Browsing other people's creations is incredibly easy and they load up very fast. My only real gripe is the controls for creating. It will take several hours of practice to get competent enough to control the tools before you can create anything close to a "dream" as most of my attempts ended up closer to nightmares or an Escher painting. That said, my own weaknesses asside, many people have gotten used to it and are creating some really cool stuff. I doubt I will ever have the patience or time required to get used to the tools, let alone create anything but there is still a lot here for those who cannot pour copious amounts of time into creating, and it will only get better with time… Expand

    Es la herramienta o juego mas perfecto , desde pequeño que me encta crear y dibujar cosas, en papel, arcilla, en paint ,en plastilicina,etc, crear tu mundo,tus personajes, todas esas cosas que siempre me ha encantado, con dreams lo puedo llevar y materializar de una manera vivida, en serio le tenia poca fe a este juego y para mi esta siendo una maravilla !!!!!     Dreams’ creative mode might not integrate with PSVR as naturally as hoped, but its cemented position as a hub of invention makes it an easy recommendation. Paired with the platform’s inherent comfort issues, its sprawling, untamed ecosystem can prove to be a minefield to navigate, but for every unwelcome rollercoaster ride (literally and figuratively), there’s another wish waiting to be fulfilled or something genuinely original to discover. The only way to truly judge Dreams is by the strength of its creations and those already speak for themselves; if you want to embrace VR’s experimental side, you shouldn’t miss it.
