    The Doomguy is back, full of anger, lust to eviscerate demons and wanting to show off his impressive gymnastic skills that can rival a soviet gymnast.
    Technically this game is solid as the Hell's gates and on PS5 is really a pleasure to play, with the last patch you can choose now between ray tracing or 4K resolution , frame rate is always stable no matter how many rockets, demon limbs    The Doomguy is back, full of anger, lust to eviscerate demons and wanting to show off his impressive gymnastic skills that can rival a soviet gymnast.

    The campaign has the perfect duration and takes you through levels with a completely different atmosphere, medieval inspired ,alien, hellish, etc. while blowing up the classical doom demons and some few new ones. The difficult level is really well adjusted and every one apart from the easiest is challenging and rewarding.
    The structure of the game is basically the same as with the Doom 2016, traversing an intricate level with arenas full with demons while searching for collectibles/upgrades.
    Eternal has filled up the space between arenas with platforming sections to break the monotony and they are interesting but I personally disliked them because for me they did not fit the ambience well and were just places to potentially lost a live or get your armour/health reduced before the next arena.

    Due to my personal taste this game is a step below 2016 because I liked the tone, music, demon design and atmosphere there more, closer to the horrific Doom3. Eternal has more Doom2/Quake3 vibes with a more vivid colour palette. Also some new demons like the Marauders are interesting to fight the first 3 times you cross them, but the 14th time they are just annoying and break the combat flow.

    Nevertheless is an excellent boomer shooter that you should not let pass.

    P.D: It's a pity that due MS consolidation and the buy of Zenimax I will not be able to play future titles of the saga :(    … Expand

    you need to change the language of your console or the game does not start but worse you have to create an bethesda acoount or you can only play this game offline which means your console i not connected to the internet and you cant play multiplayer - and no one tells you that before you buy

    Doom eternal is really good game. Every monster type have different weak points so you are not only pressing the fire button all time. You need to be mobile and alive in every second. Maps are really cool in this game. Some bosses are coming as a normal enemy later of the game. and last boss vas very boring.

    What a **** joke, all you guys is able to give this game is an 8/10!?. This game deserves and 9/10 or 10/10. It is just non-stop action = non-stop fun, it improved and already beast of an game, and knows what it is supposed to be.

    Doom Eternal is very great. This is the first fast paced fps game I've played and this is a very good starting point. Although I felt worn out at the end of each level, the adrenaline rush of managing every weapon, ability, and enemy while running at 100 mph is insane. The combat is not only exhilarating but also surprisingly strategic. I was also very surprised by the graphics. When theDoom Eternal is very great. This is the first fast paced fps game I've played and this is a very good starting point. Although I felt worn out at the end of each level, the adrenaline rush of managing every weapon, ability, and enemy while running at 100 mph is insane. The combat is not only exhilarating but also surprisingly strategic. I was also very surprised by the graphics. When the game slowed down I was awestruck by the detail on the environments, and it was electrifying was watching the body parts and guts of demons pour out of them. The only problems with it is that I needed to create a Bethesda account without even playing the multiplayer and the couple of audio and visual glitches. Also this might just be a me thing but I played on Ultra Violence and there were some levels that felt unfair but again, that might just be a me thing. Anyway, Doom Eternal is a great game that I completely recommend.… Expand

    In a genre which is degrading as the years go by doom eternal sets new standards of what it means to be a FPS shooter. Every bullet fired needs to be planned and hold meaning. I have no words to explain how fun and unique this game, just f***ing buy play it already.

The game also has an emphasis on backstory in the form of scattered text entries. Ultimately, it's a rift on the Halo tale, but instead of the Covenant taking over planets, its demons. Due to the platforming and exploration aspects, EternalDoom Eternal is arguably the best entry in the series. It amps up the speed and difficulty of its 2016 predecessor while adding platforming sections. The game also has an emphasis on backstory in the form of scattered text entries. Ultimately, it's a rift on the Halo tale, but instead of the Covenant taking over planets, its demons. Due to the platforming and exploration aspects, Eternal feels more like an action-adventure than an old-school FPS. While there are plenty of intense run 'n gun encounters, the pace is slowed down by puzzle platforming. You must figure out how to get to a certain section before using your acquired abilities to do so. This element is bound to be quite divisive to Doom purists. Especially since they can become quite annoying. But like the previous game, you'll find all sorts of hidden upgrades. You'll also discover secret areas, timed challenges and horde challenges. Online multiplayer is no longer composed of Team Deathmatches, but is now a 2-vs-1 survival mode: two soldiers battle one demon for match wins. It's worth playing a few times, but the single player mode is the main thing. There's even Live Events that connect with the campaign. Overall, this is a worthy addition to the series. Even if it is too tough at times. I would rate this with a 9 out of 10.… Expand

    Better than the prequel in almost every way (except atmosphere). One of the most fun games ever made, one of the best combat systems and soundtracks in any game. It´s absurdly fun to RIP AND TEAR. Also you nuke Mars, 10/10.

What it does the best is giving you a plethora of guns and making each and every one of them optimal for one or two uses, meaning to stay alive while dozens of demons are chasing you, quick, clever,Doom Eternal is by far my favourite shooter. It's the only shooter I've played, but I think it says something that every other shooter bores me to death yet I've completed Doom Eternal twice. What it does the best is giving you a plethora of guns and making each and every one of them optimal for one or two uses, meaning to stay alive while dozens of demons are chasing you, quick, clever, decisions have to be made constantly about which gun and attachment to use. Jumping and dashing around the well crafted arenas at high pace and murdering demons feeds into a great sense of power, but the platforming in between fight sections is a bit of a bore. There is a very high skill ceiling for this game, so for those who are good at shooters can stick around and have a lot of fun getting better, and eventually mastering the Nightmare difficulty. My biggest gripe with this game is definitely ammo, of which there is rarely enough of in harder difficulties, and with no auto regeneration, you're going to have to be very good at conserving it.… Expand

After chaos of Doom 3 and Doom 4 and not knowing it's own identity, the Doom franchise was in a strange place, but despite being very apprehensive, Doom 2016 was the absolutely perfect modern Doom game. So I was excited about it's sequel and what might be next.
    Roll on Doom Eternal, recapturing a lot of what made Doom 2016 good, expanding on it by adding some new monsters, a lot of unique boss battles, and an actual story.

    There's a lot that Doom Eternal got right, and a fair bit it didn't.
    I for one like the puzzle areas and the exploring to find all the secrets. I know a few people find the puzzles weak, but I made my peace with them, they're not particularly challenging and break up the combat. I also like a lot of the new enemies, however the Marauders are just painfull, you can only attack at one point in time, and only once or twice if you're fast enough. As a boss they'd be challenging enough, but chucked in with dozens of other enemies is just unfair. I like the grappling hook, the vertical climbing, flamethrower, the new and improved plasma rifle.
    Also this iteration of Doom has added inventory management, which to a degree is fine, but even with cycling through all weapons and being resourceful, there are a number of times I ran out of ammo entirely, and was stuck right at the end of massive combat encounters.
    Some of the boss fights are just masochistic, I'm not sure why they're so much harder than the game itself but fortunately they do give you an option to replay with "Sentinel Armor" which buffs you up a lot, but the bosses are still challenging.

    I really hope for the next Doom, they tone down the inventory management, running out of ammo so often in a Doom game seems wrong.    … Expand

    A crappy 90s first person shooter with horribly outdated controls thought it could pass as a AAA title if they slapped some 2017 graphics on it. Wouldn’t even have been satisfied if I were paid to play this garbage. You basically have two controls and every encounter is the same, so if you have no respect for your time or money then definitely buy this game!

    This was my first ever entry in the DOOM franchise, and my god was it a great entry. Everything about this game is great. The gameplay is the best I've ever seen, the atmosphere is great, the different weapons are diverse and accommodate different playstyles. And the music, is one of the best video game soundtracks ever with "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" being one of my favorite songsThis was my first ever entry in the DOOM franchise, and my god was it a great entry. Everything about this game is great. The gameplay is the best I've ever seen, the atmosphere is great, the different weapons are diverse and accommodate different playstyles. And the music, is one of the best video game soundtracks ever with "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" being one of my favorite songs of all time, and the fact it isn't on Spotify angers me. (Also, Justice for Mick Gordon!)
    Now the story was good for me, it is worse then DOOM 2016, but I liked it.

    So basically in Doom Eternal you are a total badass demonslayer ripping demons in half, setting them on fire and blowing them up with a rocket launcher. This is the best shooter ever made.

    Играется очень свежо и оригинально, сюжет прост, лаконичен, но с задачей справляется, новая фракция Ангелов весьма органично вписалась в лор игры, графика, дизайн оппонентов весьма крут, все это помножено на убойный саундтрек, хорошую сложность, и от этого я как старый фанат Дума, в восторге.

    Одна из лучших игр в которые довелось поиграть. Низкий поклон ID software, настоящие мастера шутеров от первого лица. 10 из 10.    … Expand

Another aspect of Eternal I didn't take to was all this slayer2022 retry on console this time. I love playing Dying Light beat it six times console/pc. Eternal parkour/platform elements broke this game for me. Sadly to the point I didn't even want to play the DooM reboot anymore. Well the DooM reboot is a to be continued story. Which leads into Eternal a game I will never finish now. Another aspect of Eternal I didn't take to was all this slayer story stuff. I much prefered when the Doom Guy was just a guy. Not even burnt by the price. Got it pre-owned and trade in price was more at another place. Have to say Doom 3 is still my goto DooM

    Я как то писал про игру Doom 2016 и поражался как разработчики смогли создать такую увлекательную игру основанную буквально на одном геймплее, в которой практически отсутствовал сюжет. При том это было сделано без Кармака. Тогда я ещё сказал, что бы Doom Eternal стал лучше, разработчикам надо сотворить чудо. И........... На мой взгляд это им не удалось!
    Первую часть я буквально пролетел    Я как то писал про игру Doom 2016 и поражался как разработчики смогли создать такую увлекательную игру основанную буквально на одном геймплее, в которой практически отсутствовал сюжет. При том это было сделано без Кармака. Тогда я ещё сказал, что бы Doom Eternal стал лучше, разработчикам надо сотворить чудо. И........... На мой взгляд это им не удалось!
    Первую часть я буквально пролетел за пару заходов. А Doom Eternal проходил....6 месяцев. И даже не знаю в чем дело. Наверное в том, что игра на 99% вторична. Играть в неё сейчас просто скучно.
    Но всё по порядку. Начну с того, что игра выглядит, ощущается как оригинал четырехлетней давности. Да добавили пушку на плечо и кошку к супер обрезу, но пушка полное говно (я думал, что будет как у хищника, но нет), стреляет чёрти как, пока сдетонируют гранаты монстры разбегутся, эффективна может быть против тихоходных тварей, есть ещё огонь, но он нужен только для выбивания брони. При том она перезаряжается секунд 60. А крюк-кошка нужна только в определенных местах, подтягиваться к врагам смысла нет так как через 0.1 секунды враг сам прибежит к тебе.
    Ещё разработчики усложнили геймплей. Монстры стали сильней и жирней, и даже на лёгком уровне они более упругие чем в Doom 2016 на среднем.
    Тем более к концу игры авторы практически перестали выдавать боеприпасы на аренах, а взрывные бочки из которых можно их выбить исчезают где то после 8ой миссии. Так что пополнить боезапас можно только бензопилой, а её ещё зарядить надо. Поэтому после той же восьмой миссии иногда просто приходилось самоубиваться об какого нибуть импа, так как остаётся только удар рукой, а он в этой игре бесполезен опять таки если не заряжен.
    Да, появиляется супер меч, но заряды для него тоже очень ограничины и вместо кровавого экстаза на экране получается тоска. Зарядов то нет!
    Может кому-то мазохизм на экране нравится, мне нет. Я хочу веселиться, а меня заставляют страдать. В Doom я чувствовал себя суперменом, а в Doom Eternal Фродо Бэггинсом который должен всю игру бегать от врагов. Может игра рассчитана на кооп? Тогда можно было бы объяснть сложность, но это не так. Авторы просто сделали врагов более жирными и сильными.
    Как по мне чуда из игры не вышло.
    Нам обещали сногсшибающую графику, переработанный геймплей, крепкий сюжет. На PS4 графика точно та же, что и в 2016м, как я говорил геймплей почти не изменился, по мне так стал даже хуже, сюжет.....м даа.

    There are so many controls that some have to be mapped to L3 and R3 which means that you are going to be frequently using up resources by accident - and there are LOADS of different resources. Armour tokens, weapon tokens, XP, Praetorian tokens it has more resources and more resource management than your average free to play mobile game - at least there they are the game. I don't know what neverending inventory management was meant to bring to Doom.

    The gameplay is a massive step backwards from Doom 2016 and it plays a lot more like Ratchet and Clank. Run around small arenas in circles looking for ammo and spend more time in weapon wheels trying to find something with ammo than actually aiming and shooting.

    Oh and the neverrending tutorials. I returned Xcom 2 for the same reason - a game, especially doom, shouldn't be stopping every 5 minutes 3 hours into the game with another tutorial. Is this really what modern gamers want?

    I absolutely hate Doom Eternal with a passion and it should be stripped of the name.

    It is 1/3 flight sim, 1/3 free to play mobile game and 1/3 ratchet and clank.

    The graphics and sound are amazing but the game is otherwise an enormous disappointment.    … Expand

    Doom Eternal is Doom, but better in almost every single way. Doom Eternal’s biggest accomplishment is somehow giving you more options on how to approach each encounter. If you liked Doom (2016) then you are definitely going to enjoy this.

    DOOM Eternal, is probably the best fps game I ever played. The movement system is very smooth and satisfying, and the Doom Slayer moves fast, which is good in such a fast-paced game. Also, all the parkour elements are worth mentioning, as they are a key base in this game and you cannot move further in a level without using them. Speaking about parkour, it is also very smooth and I think itDOOM Eternal, is probably the best fps game I ever played. The movement system is very smooth and satisfying, and the Doom Slayer moves fast, which is good in such a fast-paced game. The locations are beautifully shown and colorful the gun play is very fun. When you shoot a gun like the Super Shotgun, Rocket launcher, or just using a normal pump shotgun its fun to fight demons. The Doom Slayer can hook shot into a dangerous demon, shoot, double dash out, and double jump up to avoid an otherwise devastating counterattack. The game's levels are massive and gorgeous. Each level contains cinematic set pieces like corpses of massive demons or otherworldly castles and vistas. Further, each level contains challenges like superb slayer gates (a subzone full of demons to slaughter), or purple combat zones (timed kill demon challenges), or hidden secrets, and upgrades. These make the levels even more fun by adding depth in level exploration. Secret hunting is aided by a fantastic map layout that is readable and easy to use. Another great addition is the ability to teleport to any level subzone once one has neared the end of a level. I often cleared an entire level and would teleport around picking up any secrets I missed or fighting any demons I accidently spared. Doom Eternal is riddled with multiple systems that are not overly complex but a bit overwhelming initially. The Doom Slayer can burn enemies to gain armor, chainsaw them to gain ammo, and glory kill (activate a cinematic kill when a demon is close to death) to gain health. The Doom Slayer is allowed one of two mods per weapon unlocking unique firing modes. These mods are found off little robots in the game’s levels. Each mod can be upgraded through arsenal points obtained through clearing demons in levels. The Slayer’s armor can be upgraded with tokens found throughout levels. The Slayer’s health, ammo count, and armor can be upgraded by finding crystals hidden in different levels. The Doom Slayer can equip three runes that provide different perks such as faster glory kills or more control while airborne. The Doom Slayer is also equipped with ice, explosive grenades, and later a crucible blade that can slice through demons. The Doom Slayer also has a massive ship called the Citadel of Doom. Power nodes collected in levels can power up the ship allowing the Doom Slayer access to mod upgrades, armor tokens, and crystals. Initially, I thought these systems felt unnecessary and detracted from the fun gameplay, but in the end every system provides a helpful benefit that was not overly complicated to employ. The game's narrative is not the most interesting thing in the world but honestly it does not matter when the gameplay is so engrossing.     The port on next gen is top notch. Doom Eternal itself is simply fantastic and has love bursting at the seams. The movement is fluid and quickly becomes second nature. The campaign is endlessly charming, its level design pristine, and its plot compelling. Its peaks are sublime and plentiful, and the worst it has to offer is still perfectly competent.

It gets a bit frustrating at times but once you understand how everything works, it plays like a dream and it's undoubtedly one of the highlights of the game.
    Another highlight of the game is the music; it feels like it's part of the gameplay, and it's awesome!
    Also, the graphics and the audio design are amazing too.
    Despite being a solid FPS game though, DOOM Eternal features platforming elements, however, they're not executed well; there's too much unnecessary platforming.

    Pros:
    + Exciting, fluid & challenging gameplay
    + Fantastic music
    + Beautiful visuals

    Cons:
    - Very weak narrative
    - Excessive amount of platforming

    This game is good. it has realistic and accurate physics in fighting, and is very satisfying to beat on harder difficulties. the unique AI in the game is like no other in FPS games. This is a very creative game in my opinion.

Then I was so close to rage quitting so many times because of one demon there Marauder when you first fight this guy you are still starting out and he so much different then the others because you can’t be too close to him or you get shot by his shotgun but you can’t be too far away or he throws a axe projectile you have to stay in the sweet spot of him and wait until his eyes glow to shoot him yeah you can’t shoot him regular he blocks your bullets. But other than that it’s just bullet dancing and that helps with the music oh my god the music I stoped after I died sometimes just to listen to the music it brings so much energy just to a regular fight and I love it. Overall DOOM Eternal is a amazing follow up to the 2016 reboot it’s definitely worth getting a full price buy this game now or watch the play through on the YouTube channel.… Expand

The pace is awful, it's like they want you to be technical, making every demon require specific weapon-mod-weakpoint combination, but also throws at you a horde of 20 demons on a close space with infinite respawn... And that doesn't combine well with the ammo mechanic of this game. Doom 2016 manage these a lot simpler, better IMO.

    Music is good, but not as good as Doom 2016.

    It has some good things tho:

After going back and playing the main doom releases (we don't talk about doom 3) This game is a love letter to all doom fans no matter when you joined the fandom. Not interested in the story? You can skip almost every cut scene want more read the codex still not satisfied purchase the DLC's game to easy? Play ancient gods part 1 ultra-nightmare is stupidly difficult but good fun and amazing challenge finding the game too difficult? Ancient gods part 2 or play on an easy difficulty then move up per play through it sounds annoying but it is rewarding and great fun. This game is an action paced love letter and masterpiece one of my favourite games of all time fun i could keep going all day. Great purchase i would snatch this game up whenever possible it is on sale a lot if you are a bit strapped for cash but the replay ability you will get all of the money you spent back and more in entertainment. Dashing allows you to escape a tight spot or bash opponents while the meat hook can be used to quickly reel into a fleeing enemy or swing yourself into the air like a pernicious pendulum. These tools, once mastered with the rest of the mostly-familiar weapon wheel, allow you to become a greater and more effective deliverer of destruction than in Doom (2016).

    However, with an enhanced arsenal, Doom Eternal meets your power with greater demons and more difficult scenarios. New additions like the pain elemental, prowler, carcass, and more offer new challenges in discovering their weaknesses and exploiting them when faced with near-overwhelming forces. One of the various skills needed to excel in Eternal is learning which enemies are a priority to kill because if left alive they will make managing the forces of hell even more of a nightmare.

    It's this core mechanic of receiving a new tool, meeting a new challenge, and learning how to use it to your advantage, that makes Doom Eternal so much fun. Towards the latter half of the campaign, this cycle tapers off and culminates by letting you loose on the forces of hell to test how well you can play.

    For all the game excels at, it seems the developers focused so heavily on how it plays, not in vain by any stretch, but they neglected some other aspects which, in my opinion, made Doom (2016) so special. I love lore: anything to get me immersed in a game. Doom Eternal very much so expands on that, but almost to a fault. If you read my Doom (2016) review, the Doom Slayer's penchant to ignore the "would you kindly" archetypal voice is such a fun and freeing experience. It's a type of immersive humor that fits with the unknown that is the Doom Slayer. In Eternal, however, the slayer's character comes off nearly neutered. He follows orders, is more sparing, and not enough computers are smashed for hampering his wrath. His visor, to say the least, has been internally illuminated in cut scenes to reveal the face of a man behind the praetor suit that once felt immortal and mysterious. What seems like small changes serves to diminish the power felt when driving the main character. In addition, the environments and demon models in Doom (2016) felt more grounded in a dark reality than the more cartoonish ghouls of Eternal. I preferred the grotesque post-humanoid appearance of the mancubus in its predecessor to the more toned-down, less revolting model in this installment. The role that Dr. Samuel Hayden played in the first of the reboot dilogy is also severely less impactful in the second.

    For the immersive lackings that the game holds, the gameplay more than makes up for it. There isn't much time in between fights to think on much else than how to survive. Doom Eternal is a frenzied orchestra of weapons, enemies, and gore with a core gameplay mechanic that encourages quick-thinking, tactics, and skill.    … Expand

    A Complete Regret to Buy this Game.

    Not because of the gameplay which a hell lot of fun but due to the performance on PS4 is sucks. My PS4 is heating way too much which create a very loud fan noise the most than any other game I've played. Completely drop this game down, otherwise it will damage my PS4 for sure. Disappoint by the developer as they didn't optimize it well for PS4    A Complete Regret to Buy this Game.

    I tried to get into this, and there's some intense action and decent backdrops and graphics... I personally couldn't get into the platforming portions, as the actual design of the levels seemed excessively rigid; Every time I considered I might be able to do something clever to reach an unlockable, it turned out I was overthinking. This game is not really about thinking as much as reacting. Just get your adrenaline pumping and get ready for shooty gory goodness.

    Personally, I preferred the other modern Doom title over this one, as the flaws I perceive here weren't flaws in the other game. The closed off gauntlet-style portions are both good and bad; Being locked into an area that randomly feels like a deathmatch map sectioned off can make the intensity more personal, but it also makes the level lay-outs seem either formulaic or simplistic. Kind of comes off like being in a hellish playground. If that's what you want, then this game is absolutely for you.    … Expand

    One of the best first person shooters of all time. It’s still a game that I revisit every so often. The gameplay is challenging and very skill based, and the learning curve is very well executed as the entire game is challenging but not overwhelming (for the most part). It also brings back a lot of retro gaming vibes, as you have to learn the moves of some of the bosses so that you canOne of the best first person shooters of all time. You’ll unconsciously start mastering the movement and the rotation between all of your weapons so that you feel more powerful as the game goes on. The story is fine, the graphics are pretty good, but the music is masterfully done. The combination of the ridiculous faced paced combat with the metal music in the background really gets your adrenaline going. When the game ended, I was ready to go right back in a second time on a harder difficulty. Truly one of the best shooters, and is one everyone has to experience.… Expand
