    This review is from the point of view of a father of 2 boys who are 4-6 years old.

    I was very skeptical about buying this game at first, because we had the old Cars game for PS3 and neither of my sons enjoyed it. Me even less. But my youngest son kept asking me to buy this game, despite me trying to tell him (based on the last game and many reviews) that it will most likely be very bad    This review is from the point of view of a father of 2 boys who are 4-6 years old.

    I was very skeptical about buying this game at first, because we had the old Cars game for PS3 and neither of my sons enjoyed it. Me even less. But my youngest son kept asking me to buy this game, despite me trying to tell him (based on the last game and many reviews) that it will most likely be very bad and boring.

    Well then came the sales and I bought the game for a good price just to try it out, and I'm so glad I did.

    The game is not without it's faults, and my first impressions weren't good, but when you play for awhile there's a ton of content opening up. The biggest enjoyment you get from this game is trying to open up more content, and boy did we have fun with my two sons trying to get Mack or Jackson Storm unlocked.

    Most games that include couch multiplayer let you unlock stuff only in single-player modes, but what makes Cars 3: Driven to Win great, is that you can try to unlock the next track or car together with your friends or family.

    Now that we've unlocked all the tracks and cars, we still play this game, because it has so many different game modes that are so much fun to play together. If you have kids who love Lightning McQueen, you should ignore the rest of the reviews and just go ahead and buy this game! My kids love this game, and let me tell you, I have plenty of games they could be playing, but they still always choose to play this game.    … Expand

    The score is mostly based for the amount of family time fun I've had with this game. The game has been fully translated to Dutch (including voices), which is rare for games (and I usually don't like it) but for my 4 year old this really works well. The voices are pretty decent, and my son finds it funny and there's a lot of recognition of scenes and events from the Cars movies. The only downside is that even easy is a bit on the hard side for him.

    The content is pretty big (many tracks), and quite a few cars although the difference between them is minimal. As a single player game, it's not the greatest to be honest, unless you really buy it for the theme.    … Expand

    THis is the best Pixar game and movie franchise in my opinion even if cars 2 was meh but cars 1 is the best Pixar/Disney movie as cars 3 didn't come out but seems promising as cars 2 didnt

    This game does not go over the movies plots nor replay or give flashbacks of those projects. What it does is expand the world in showing what happens after that where Chick Hicks makes you go up against some of the racers in their respective race fields to see if you are the best!

    Overall this game was a good game in general, growing up loving the cars franchise I just knew this was gonna hit me different and I’m glad I spent the money I did to get it. The way it adds to the story almost makes it feel canon which I still don’t even know if it is.
    The game sponsor’s amazing graphic design and innovative mechanics, humorous voice acting and great player co-op.
    Overall top notch game for cars fans or anyone willing to give it a try!    … Expand

    Quality split-screen titles that bridge generation gaps are few and far between. Cars 3 achieves this, but it’s a bit of a tough sell for solo-only players. [September 2017, p75]

    Like its predecessor, Cars 3 is a decent tie-in that shouldn't have any trouble entertaining a younger audience, although it's a little hard to suggest the purchase to more expert gamers.
