I'm a big fan of the first game and have got everything I expected from the sequel and even more. Storyline is amazing, level design makes this game one of the most beautiful.

The story is simple: you are on a vendetta and kill everyone who did you harm. What really bugged me: the city has something uncomfortable. Somehow its really ugly, but it fits the plot.

Nevertheless, it was a surprise gem for me which I really enjoyed.

I enjoyed this a lot more then the first game. Interesting setting, very interesting plot elements if the overall narrative is weak. Totally recommend it if your a fan of the original. Not much has changed. Just better gameplay options really and much nicer 'crisp' graphics. Also bugger open world lite set design levels.

Dishonored 2 is a great game IF you like stealth or immersive sim games. There are numerous ways to traverse the areas in this game and numerous ways to complete objectives. Many times I was discovered before I even realized there was somebody around me. You do, later get upgrades (should you choose them) that help alleviate this but it still felt a little annoying. I actually enjoyed the game more when I lowered the difficulty to easy. Another thing that holds the game back is the story. The theory of the story is a lot better than the execution. The story ultimately feels shallow. The beats come to fast without build up and therefore no payoff. It reminds me of GOT Season 8 in that the outline of the story is good but the way it's told falls flat. All that being said I really did enjoy exploring this world. Expand

I don't believe there is a single Dishonored game that I don't like, and while DIshonored 2 perhaps has some missions that I found to be a bit too restrictive, and frustrating in some cases, (for my own tastes).

I still think to this day, and after replaying the game on a multitude of systems, and a multitude of times that it is an excellent, master crafted experience.

Everything ranging from the design of the game, to how every system within its gameplay and world blends together is beautiful.

WIth the addition of new game plus, and mission plus, the developers of the game have committed themselves to increase the experimentation, and replayability even further.

If the last game was a joy to replay to witness how some of your decisions affected the world around you, as well as the ending of the game.

In this case the game impulses you to experiment, and replay it simply because of how incredible is the potential of experimentation with each encounter you face.

Every adversity, every door that's locked, every enemy that you encounter, there are literally thousands of ways to deal with every single one of them.

This is where Dishonored 2 is at its best.

The story of the game to a degree isn't that good, given that it is a story we've seen time and time before in multiple pieces of media, even sharing uncanny similarities with the original Dishonored game.

That being said, the game compensates in this sense by having a brutal, beautiful and enrich world around the player at all times.

Every locale that you explore, every npc that you meet, there is a story in most corners of the empire, some of them sad, and tragic, others beautiful, and loving.

    Always complex however, always profound.

Graphically the game is a lot more detailed than the original DIshonored, it still has its unique art style that blends both a cartoony aesthetic, with a fairly realistic one in some aspects, it is alluring for me personally.

I've always liked how this games look and play.

The characters that we know and love are back as well, Corvo, and Emily, now the empress of the empire, are both playable and both offer a multitude of different powers to choose from as well as different outcomes for most of the situations you'll find yourself in.

Overall Dishonored 2 left me with a very strong desire of satisfaction, one however, that also left me desiring to play more and more of it, experimenting with its different systems, and gameplay mechanics, in a futile attempt at perhaps getting to experience most, if not all, of what this game has to offer.

A great sequel that has the strengths of Dishonored and improves on it. It is set 15 years after the events of the prequel. Corvo has aged but is far away from retiring. Corvo has aged but is far away from retiring. He trained his daughter Empress Emily Kaldwin well in the skills of stealth, infiltration, fighting and assassination as he knows the time will come when her enemies will make their moves. After a coup by Delilah Copperson it is your decision to chose either Corvo or Emily to be the playable character. Dishonored 2 continued were the prequel stopped as best stealth game in years. The setting is dark and matured. It has also a better story than the prequel. It is full of reveals, plots, twists and the old and new characters never fail to deliver. Fans / players of the prequel know Delilah Copperson and will be puzzled how this could be happened as she should be neutralized (Handled in DLC for Dishonored). It is a tough and intense ride to defeat the traitors. The returning old characters that I wont spoil work well. They have also developed during the years that have past and have relatable personalities / motives. For the new ones I think Kirin Jindosh, Aramis Stilton and the Duke of Serkanos (he counts twice ;-) are great additions to the cast and lore. As in the prequel based on your approach / decisions it gets even darker /more hopeless later on. If you kill many guards in one level then the next level will be guarded heavier with more guards (There are also other changes which I won't spoil). It is possible to solve the game without killing anyone or ever get detected. Lets start with the abilities. Again the Outsider a being who is existing between realms and worshiped by some as god and seen by others as evil pagan demon gives you a choice to receive his blessing in form of supernatural abilities (and a mark). You can of cause refuse but I think the abilities are too fun and awesome to avoid. Both Corvo and Emily have unique abilities so you can replay the game with the other one for a different experience. Because Corvos abilities are close to his in Dishonored 1 I favored Emily. The variety is great as there are abilities for stealth, manipulation and fighting. You can learn or upgrade your abilities during the game after reaching special locations. They improve the levels / environments. Like in the prequel the variety in the levels is remarkable. Most times there are multiple ways or approaches for a task. When I replayed a level I often find alternative ways or set things in motion that even change the outcomes. Here in this games are 2 masterpieces with Jindosh mansion he specially created as challenge for intruders or Stiltons mansion with 4th dimensional gameplay (Keep thinking hard what is possible as you can make mayor changes here if you grasp the possibilities correctly). There are some sidequests added to the game atop on collecting valuables, charms (give small bonuses), blueprints, lore and ability points. This variety and the multiple approaches give a lot of replay value. The graphics look great as they have a special art style for the world and characters. I liked that style as it enhances the game. Overall this is a great game that surpasses its predecessor. There is so much to explore, abilities to test / use and different paths to take. An easy recommendation for lovers of stealth games. Dishonored 2 is the best game I’ve ever played probably the best game I’ll ever play. It was the first game I had played in years that immersed me so much that I forgot anything outside of the game world existed while playing it. It’s a sequel to Dishonored 1: a first person stealth-action game and an immersive sim set in a 19th century setting which is also one of my all time favourites.Dishonored 2 is the best game I’ve ever played probably the best game I’ll ever play. It was the first game I had played in years that immersed me so much that I forgot anything outside of the game world existed while playing it. It’s a sequel to Dishonored 1: a first person stealth-action game and an immersive sim set in a 19th century setting which is also one of my all time favourites. Dishonored 2 is better than Dishonored 1 in every single way apart from the story because if you’ve played Dishonored 1’s DLCs then no.2’s story can be quite underwhelming. The story is still great but not quite as good as the first game’s story though.

What I loved about the first game is how much freedom you get in choosing how to play the game. The levels are so ridiculously detailed letting you progress through them a million different ways (i.e. Go through the front door or scout the building exterior and look for a secret entrance or teleport to higher ground and go through an open window or even possess a freaking rat and crawl through the ventilation system). There was new things I learnt about each level even when playing them for the 3rd time. Dishonored 2 expands on this because the level design is somehow even more complex and detailed than Dishonored 1’s level design which shouldn’t have been possible so you can still play the game however you want but with even more freedom and with more parts of each level to explore.

(Feel free to skip this section if you’ve already played Dishonored 1) If you haven’t played Dishonored 1 and want to know what the gameplay is like, here is my breakdown of the first game’s gameplay: The stealth gameplay is as good as it gets because it has the best level design in all of gaming imo and it’s designed to facilitate the stealth gameplay (hiding spots, places to dump bodies, etc). The AI of the enemies is really good compared to most other stealth games because the guards can become hostile from seeing you very easily and from many angles; they aren’t retards like in many other stealth games, especially on higher difficulties. It also lets you complete the game non lethally and without ever getting detected. Not to mention it’s amazing melee combat system which is brutal and lets you play the game as a full blown action-packed hack and slash game. Because of it, doing front up assaults on all enemies is as fun of a playstyle as playing stealthily and the powers/tools the game gives you make it a fully viable playstyle. You can also get really creative with the powers/tools the game gives you (check out StealthGamerBR’s Dishonored videos on Youtube).

Dishonored 2 has the the same gameplay as Dishonored 1 but with a bunch of mechanical tweaks and some different enemy types that you get introduced to later on. Since Emily is a playable character, you get completely different power sets if you choose to play as her which is way better than Corvo’s power set in my opinion because they cater to stealth more than combat and because they’re just so damn cool. (E.g. A domino power that links the fate of enemies so if you kill one or knock one out, the rest will follow simultaneously).

The no.1 difference between Dishonored 1 and 2 is in the art style and atmosphere because it’s set in Karnaca instead of Dunwall (there are still a couple of missions in Dunwall though). The new art style is based off of Southern Europe and Karnaca is a beautiful city compared to the grimy and dirty Dunwall. It has really cool visuals, architecture and culture which is a breath of fresh air after leaving Dunwall. The atmosphere progressively gets creepier and eerier towards the end of the game to take you out of your comfort zone and there are a couple of levels which are creepy af and borderline horror. Just like the first game, each level has different iterations of the game’s art style. Whether you’ll like this change is down to personal preference but I absolutely loved the art style in no.2 to bits. It gave me such strong nostalgia always making me want to play the game again when I hadn’t played it in a while and imo there’s just no better setting to be completely immersed in. Check gameplay out to see how it’s different.

I can fanboy over it all day but you probably won’t know if you’ll like it until you try it out because it’s such a unique game.

That being said, Karnaca does have some pretty great levels (the Clockwork mansion in particular). If you enjoyed the first game, you’ll enjoy this one (and vice versa if you didn’t like the first one). Emily plays very similar to Corvo. I like the play without getting detected, so the only powers I really use are the blink/far reach and dark vision which both characters have so they were almost the exact same thing to me. The best immersive sim and stealth game. The plot, unfortunately, is much weaker than the first part. But it would be unfair to the genre to downgrade the rating because of the plot.

Лучшая игра в жанре имерсив сим и стелс. Сюжет, к сожалению, сильно слабее первой части. Но снижать оценку из-за сюжета будет несправедливо по отношению к жанру.

It feels more like a continuation of Dishonoured 1 rather than a fully new title in itself, with most elements carried over as is. This time the setting is post-rat plague, but the city is no less rotten.

This time as advertised you can play as either Corvo or his now-adult daughter Emily Kauldwin. The other will be locked in stone for most of the gameplay so the decision is permanent unless you start a new game. Emily also has some different powers than Corvo and cannot possess animals and humans. “Blink” becomes “Far reach” though they are basically the same. As with the first game you have the same choose your playstyle and you will be rated for how violent/peaceful (chaos level) your actions were which affects how the world looks.
No rat hazard (usually) this time, instead the buildings are infested with bloodfly nests, The red honeycomb-like structures are swarmed with the flies and you can choose to destroy the nests and risk attack of the bloodflies or slowly sneak past. You get money from a gem from the nests so there is a benefit to the former. Bone charms and runes are also often located in the same area if you want to take the risk.

Some particularly interesting levels in this game are the clockwork mansion full of shifting walls and rooms, stairs, and tables that change at the pull of a lever or press of a button, and you can sneak around the walls and back ways ‘like a rat’ and see how it works (it’s also part of the intended route). Beware the clockwork soldiers however, powerful robots who can look both in front and behind but will not distinguish between enemy and ally (guards) when the head is destroyed.

There is also the time travel piece that allows you to instantly warp between the present, a crumbling mostly abandoned mansion, and the past when it was a place of luxury, and see what happened and perhaps change history. You lose most of your powers on this level so have to rely on time travel to dodge around enemies, especially if going for low chaos.

I played it (mostly) twice so I think it’s good. The levels above make it particularly unique, the time travel one especially.

Overall solid game. It's a series I will hope to see more of if anything. I did feel like some things were kind of annoying to do in regards of gameplay, but that's personal preference. Hopefully more fluidity and different choices of abilities in the next one? I know DOTO came out and I have yet to try that, but we'll see.

I played as Emily and went with a no kill run.

    Pros:
    - Cool that you can play as two different characters with different powers
    - The powers were just fun to use
    - The clockwork level was awesome
    - Great stealth overall

    Cons:
    - The load times killed this game for me, coulda been epic
    - Personally I think the setting is too dreary

The gameplay is really fun, with some awesome quality of life improvements after Dishonored 1 and Death of the Outsider, like the quick save and quick load buttons. They did the level design well in general—although most of my complaints concern the game’s design, the levels are still really fun to wander around, and tracking down enemies and slowly taking them down one by one is a blast as you slowly unlock more areas you can safely explore.

The art is the same great art from before, and the music was a treat. The sound design in general in all the Dishonored games is top shelf.

There is a LOT of lore, so if you’re a completionist and you know you can’t find a scrap of paper in a game without reading it or you feel like you’re not getting ‘the full experience’, this game will feel like a grind. Personally, I read the stuff in level one, and after that only read the things that directly concerned the mission. There is an indicator on the game’s HUD that lets you know if something is really important. It’s a nice feature, and that meant the lore never overwhelmed me. Props to the devs for including that indicator, very nice idea.

Now, there were a few issues: One, you will need a guide to do all the things you will probably want to do. Nonviolently eliminating certain key figures (no spoilers) can be very complicated, making it all but necessary to be shown the answer rather than figuring it out yourself. In my opinion, that is poor game design. It should be a little bit easier to accomplish main mission objectives in the way I want to. Collectibles can be really challenging, sure, but not main mission objectives.

Two, certain levels were really hard unless you knew in advance what upgrades to buy. I did the whole game without a guide, and without giving anything away, two levels were a slogfest without having the right upgrades installed. There should have been a warning or some more sneaky ways for me to avoid combat that would have kept these levels from being as hard.

Lastly, the nonviolent takedown trigger was finicky. Sometimes, probably once or twice a level, I would not be able to take down an enemy even though I was in the correct position, and it would often trigger a detection and call all the other enemies to my position. It’s not the end of the world, but a stealth game really benefits from having tight nonviolent controls.

No more negatives. It’s a great game, with interesting levels and fun little challenges, with awesome music, distinctive art, and a satisfying flavor. Be warned, all ye who enter here: You will have fun.

This game is great, the story was interesting and the gameplay is pretty good. While the clockwork mansion was quite a chore, and the game can go a little overboard with it's security areas, the gameplay overall was quite great. The narrative so far reminds me of Alice in Wonderland: A Wrinkle In Time where two sisters have been at odds since their mean little girl games long ago which made the younger sister big-headed and turned her into the queen of hearts. Of course this game like the previous follows every known steampunk work back to Jules Verne yet adds the punk spirit to the story so it isn't just another simple family adventure or Disneyfied story. So far there hasn't been any sexuality (like the golden cat in the first game) but there is plenty of violence, crude characters, uses of drug or alcohol and clear attempts at villains spewing propaganda (which is considered something only adults can handle since understanding the difference between bubble perspective and reality isn't something adolescence is equipped for). In some ways the story struck me between Jessamine and Delilah as a Lily vs. Petunia in the Harry Potter novels style rivalry only Petunia didn't orchestrate the darkness in Harry's life as Delilah did for Dunwall. Still one cannot deny the amount of Steampunk in Dishonored 2 which makes it now only right that CDProjektRed now has to make a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, a sort of continuum of where the city left off and maybe a character who attempts to diffuse another big war. Anyway, different topic, different game. I had a lot more fun with the non-lethal playthrough though the clockwork mansion had one upped a simple geek like me as math isn't my forte. Again if I see not one brothel or courtesan or any other mentions of an orgy throughout the game I'll call it an accomplishment, the most M for mature this game gets is the violence and practically being as violent as any horror or Mortal Kombat game, then again not every R Rated movie or M Rated game has to have sex to merit the rating!!! It's all about context here and the context so far has largely been squeeky clean apart from the violence and otherwise. Expand

The first game is still better in my opinion, but Dishonored 2 brings so may new things to the table that for the most part work that it's hard to hate it.

The main problem I have with the game is the comparative looseness compared to the first game in mechanics. Enemies sometime seem to be able to spot you from lightyears away and when you're directly above them, somehow, and some ways you get caught can often feel unfair and not at all the fault of the player. Further there are several bugs that didn't exist in the first game, such as Emily's Far Reach instant killing you for no reason, and an arc pylon that didn't shut off even though I had removed its power source entirely leading to another instant death.

It was due to these that I despised the game at first, putting it down for three years until a repeat playthrough of the first game and its DLC rekindled an interest in giving it another go. The finicky nature of the game compared to the first one set me off just as much as it had before, and by the third mission, the one I'd clocked out on the first time, I was still having an experience that ranged from lukewarm to terrible. After that, however, I slowly began to get a feel for how the game worked different from the first, and outside a few weird hiccups I began to really sink into it, until by the end I was absolutely hooked.

Took a bit for me to come around to it, but if you just stick with it, chances are you'll fall for it just as hard as the first one. I'll still hold the first game as superior in my heart, but I'm planning on putting in multiple playthroughs of its sequel just the same.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, there is a wonderful choice to either play as the original protagonist Corvo, or his daughter, the new empress Emily. Both characters have their own specific powers, which can be used to defeat enemies, or circumvent obstacles. Each character also has a different voice actor, and their lines will be different depending on the situation. If you play a mission with Corvo, for example, and then play the same one with Emily, it will be completely different from a character’s perspective.

This is the game’s strongest suit, and it’s where the game truly shines: differences and choices. You can play non-lethal stealth, or completely obliterate your opposition. It’s entirely up to you. It’s what makes the game so appealing and unique. There are a lot of possibilities, but the downsides start to appear when you uncover the rest of the game, which consists of story and lore to explain the gameplay choices. Unfortunately, if you choose to play a “high-chaos” run as it is known in the game, you will be consistently felt as though you are playing incorrectly.

In true Dishonored fashion, any way but non-lethal seems to be an issue. So much so it’s almost as if the game wants you to play stealthy. If I have a choice, I need a consequence, and there just aren’t any for taking a non-lethal approach. The world loves you because you’re not killing anyone, and it smiles at you, giving you more and more choices. Start killing and the world of Dishonored becomes bleak, almost unbearable. There are more bloodflies and they will attack you more often. The city decays. Overall, this is the “bad” version, truly. Playing the game stealthy makes the game much easier, on top of that.

Dishonored 2’s biggest problem is exposition. If you aren’t reading every single piece of info you come across, whether it be a book, or a song, or a note, or a scrumpled up newspaper, you will only get half of the story. The other half is told to you in large chunks, which always feel either rushed or slow, but never keeping the right amount of pace. It’s almost as if it doesn’t know how much or how little you should know.

On top of that, the story as a whole is strange when it isn’t cliche. It’s a typical story of the ruler being overthrown and said ruler taking down the people responsible. However, the antagonist attacks at the beginning and the character you play as thinks the best course of action is to ignore that person completely and start attacking other important figures, most of whom you aren’t even aware they are even crucial in any way, shape or form aside from them being associated.

In the first Dishonored, Corvo knew exactly who was responsible and attacked them head-on. He didn’t lag about biding his time. On top of the pacing and exposition issues are the problems with the characters. Because of the poor exposition, you aren’t really given enough information to care about who it is you’re tasked with murdering. Emily isn’t a good empress. Often she acts as though she is right and everyone else who disagrees is wrong. Whereas the one who is attempting the takeover is the rightful ruler. What are you saying about monarchies, Dishonored 2?

Arkane has released a New Game + mode, which should have been included from the beginning. In spite of the glaring problems, Dishonored 2 is a worthwhile game, and an excellent sequel.

The soundtrack is as epic as the first Dishonored's, but there are traveling duos across Karnaca that truly gild the lily. The "Brigmore Lullaby" is as good as "The Drunken Whaler", and so is the song of the credits.

In terms of level-building, Dishonored 2 has set an example of how to create solid and not particularly large levels while offering a huge number of possibilities (both in high and in low chaos, which everything they imply by separate). The movements are now smoother, there are a significant quantity of new powers and combat options and, more importantly, you can play either with Emily or Corvo (which does make a difference, especially regarding the magic powers).

Last but not least, the artistic design of settings and the storyline are simply top quality. I do not recall a game with so many text excerpts, audiographs, posters, hidden places to be discovered, etc. distributed across the nine missions. It is impossible to see/read everything with just one playthrough. The storyline unfolds gradually and is perfectly connected to the events that occured in the previous Dishonored (DLC included).

Unlike the first Dishonored, which I disliked at some points, I can say nothing negative about Dishonored 2. It is spherical, almost flawless; one of the five best games I have ever played, as I said above. Highly recommendable.

Your choice is important because whoever you pick has a huge impact on how the story unfolds. If you have played the first one I strongly suggest playing as Emily. She really offers a different perspective in the series that is quite refreshing to say the least. In D2 Emily is forced off the Empire's thrown thanks to the antagonist and being framed for a series of murders who all happen to be enemies of Emily and Corvo. Naturally, there is a conspiracy to uncover. I had a blast with Dishonored 2, and I am soon to start new game plus. I know upon release a lot of players were experiencing some bugs and glitches. I am not quite sure if it has all been patched but I saw nothing that was super obvious. That isn't to say there are no bugs. I saw several youtube videos of gamers experiencing some game-breaking bugs, nasty frame rate, etc so just make sure you have the latest update. I'm not sure if this goes for digital copies as well but I was quite surprised when I picked D2 up from gamestop (it was on sale for $39.99) little did I know that inside the case was a code for the Definitive Version of the first Dishonored! I was super excited because I traded my original copy in so I was really happy to start from the VERY beginning. If you have never played Dishonored then I would suggest you buy a copy that comes with the original and play through the first one. Granted Dishonored 2 does a pretty good job with catching you up and not leaning too heavy dialogue wise on the original game, but the lore is actually well-written and totally worth your investment. In a time where the gaming industry insists on making every game open world Dishonored 2 is a refreshing change of pace with it's original art design and world building. Dishonored 2 is an instant classic. Give it a go. Expand

its the games mechanics, and gameplay I love, the choice of stealth or full on attack, or a mixture of both, with many powers you can experiment with in multiple ways is fun, the game does have its flaws, their can be long loading screens, some minor bugs and glitches but i wouldnt say anything too troublesome, overall if you liked the first or have seen it and enjoyed watching, try it for yourself, but do go and play the first if you havnt already.

Having beat the first installment I was thrilled to play the second. I was not disappointed. The story is a classic revenge tale that we've seen a thousand times before but with a twist. The developers saw fit to allow us to choose which perspective we wanted to play the game from (Corvo or Emily). I chose to play as Emily as it felt like that's the way the developers made the story to be.

LEVEL DESIGN: The levels are each very unique with so many secrets that you'll spend all your time searching every little nook and cranny to make sure you didn't miss anything. The environments are vibrant and feel very lively.

ENEMIES: The AI in this game is actually better than I expected. The enemies really react to everything you do and are not your typical wait-to-be-killed stock characters. The difficulty they present will really challenge you to use different approaches to each area.

STORY: The story is engaging enough to make you want to play through it. Its by no means the best RPG story but it is more than serviceable. The characters are well developed and each have vital roles to play. I was surprised by how interesting the in-game world was. There are numerous documents to read to further flesh out the backstory and enhance the experience. The best new thing was the fact that you can go through the entire game without killing anyone. This plays into the stealthy approach that the game has and I liked it.

CUSTOMIZATION: The weapons are similar to the first title with a lot of new powers and the chance to craft your own unique bonecharms. I found this to be particularly interesting when I came across two or three bonecharms with traits that I wanted to fuse into one bonecharm. The level up mechanic is also pretty cool to play around with. It encourages exploration which I enjoyed a lot.

This game borrows heavily from he first Dishonored formula and while some think that more of the same, its sooo good to have more of this good stuff!!! Think of it as Bacon, more is the right way to go XD.

The setting of the world is fascinating, Karnaca is more colourful than Dunwall but its still as sinister in their alleys as the Capital, i enjoy a lot the atmosphere and the overall aesthetic of the world, pretty nice concept art there, gonna get the artbook soon jeje.

The game shines in its gameplay and combat, is good, variated and very satisfying, especialyl with executions, they are fast and furious, plus the gun and bow has impact and its also a blast to shoot all up!! that of course if you want to play a high chaos gama, because Dishonored 2 has the great approach of stealth!! every mission can be taken in a number of ways and you have plenty options to play as a non lethal character. its dam good to be a badass killing witches and the royal guard as its great to stealth the ºººº out of them as well. Also it have a very good arrange of magic powers that are different between the 2 playable characters, which can add a little extra on a second playthrough.

Regarding the story i think it plays very safe, maybe the least interesting aspect of the game, but its more like a vengeance story. Yet its good enough to enjoy. On the bright side they are some amazing missions, particularly one in which you bend time and play the same mission in present and past at the same time and its veryyyyy niceeeeeeee!!!

Level design is also great, filled with rooms and places to discover, in a way this helps the multipath aspect of the game and makes you feel like shadow, nicking and learning the secrets of both common and important people of the game.

In short you can be a badass fighter that bring noise and rightful vengeance to your foes, a lethal assassin never spotted but deadly still or a ghost like the wind and still regain your throne and tip empires

Its a damn good game to play :)

One of the most exquisite world-building exercises ever. Each level is varied and crafted, offering multiple ways to solve or escape or kill your way out. This and Deus Ex Mankind Divided were both such amazing open worlds. I enjoyed Mankind Divided's graphics and controls better, but Dishonored 2 had the better levels and world building. Both amazing.

I would have put 10/10 but i totally disliked the way the game ended. The final "boss" is alright, tho not revolutionary, but the story and the story-telling afterwards are not.

This is just so extraordinary game! Can’t get enough of it, I enjoy every moment in this masterpiece so much. Graphics aren’t top notch, but stylization and creative art is at top level for me. This is GOTY in my humble opinion. I am explorative type of player, I have already 7 hours of gameplay and just 2 missions completed. If you love the prequel, this is a must have.

Highlights: Superb map/mission design (especially the Clockwork Mansion, and the time-shifting device used in one mission), high replayability, great stealth mechanics.

Lowlights: weak story, cliched character development, insultingly brief & underproduced endings, boring swordplay.

Dishonored 2, like the first game, specializes in stealth and the mastery of using your special abilities to transverse the lay of the land and dispose of opponents. As a gamer you can decide on if you’ll take the ‘fight first ask questions later’ approach or ‘avoid conflict and sneak around’ method – each giving you a different challenge to the way the game unfolds.

The original Dishonored was filled with intrigue and wonders to explore and Dishonored 2 continues on that same road. In many ways Dishonored 2 feels more like a continuation of the first game and not so much a sequel as the controls and visuals look and feel the same. This time around you can play as either Corvo (hero from the first game) or Emily Kaldwin – who was a child in the first game and is now all grown up complete with her own unique abilities. The skill tree has been modified to allow gamers to be more precise on how they want to level up their abilities and for those who want a real challenge it is possible to play the entire game without powers giving you both bragging rights and a special Trophy/Achievement.

The original Dishonored game was quite an achievement as it was fun exploring levels and taking out bad guys with either sword, magic or by sneaking up behind them with a choke hold. Dishonored 2 doesn’t add much new as for the visuals or gameplay but there are some new elements to combat like being able to do a charged strike attack which will render enemies helpless long enough for you to put them to sleep and also Emily’s new abilities. Ultimately we would have liked to have seen an improvement to the dialogue scenes and loading times decreased as part of the upgrades but that doesn’t deter Dishonored 2 from being one of the best games released in 2016.

The freedom dishonoured 2 gives you is unprecedented and even after two play throughs I still find new ways to approach each missions and new clues to discover.

The world of Karnaca is stunning its like a painting in motion, it is totally immersing and real, the NPCs are frightened by the tyranny of the new duke, the guards are ruthless and the gangs merciless. Dishonoured 2 is an upgrade to the first one in every way possible and is definitely worth picking up.

Its only draw back is the forgettable and simple story/characters, and in any other game that would be a huge downside but because the moment to moment gameplay is so good the simple story does not get rid of the enjoyment.

My father's laptop however, I can't play the game on. It lags. The mouse is very slow and unsteady. So I've given up on that system. I think the problem lies in the fact that you need to have a supported graphics card. I play everything on high except shadow detail and other things like that and have no problems.
The game itself is awesome!! The graphics are steller, the AI is engaging and can be challenging at times. The different combat elements are interesting and never boring. I've found a bone charm called Seperation Trauma which renders your possessed humans and dogs unconscious when you leave the host. AWESOME! Love chaining from one host to another rendering them unconscious, saves on sleep darts. There are so many different ways to eliminate threats either killing or unconscious that it is never boring. Looking for loot and other items is challenging but fun. I don't see why the metascore is not higher on this game, it is truly a winner and a stellar game.

Dishonored 2 fixes a few of the minor issues that affected the original title, such as the poor AI of the enemies, but in truth it rarely strays far from the template it laid down. Fortunately that template remains very enjoyable and the game offers a selection of, almost playground like, levels for the player to explore and complete using a wide variety of methods.
