Dexed is exactly the sort of game you'd expect at this stage of PSVR's development. An on-rails shooter with nods to Rez and Ikaruga where the VR gimmick carries the game. It's too short for sure, but we're suckers for its floaty charms.

Dexed is worth getting some time with for the unique ideas it provides, but don’t expect to spend a ton of time in Ninja Theory’s VR world.

Dexed is a valiant first attempt by Ninja Theory in the VR space but it suffers like many other early VR titles by feeling more like a tech demo than a full game. When you factor in the price, you are getting an okay package, but it’s unlikely you’ll want to head back once you’ve played through the stages on offer for a few hours.

    It's double-handed fun while it lasts. [Apr 2017, p.90]

If the result sometimes feels more like a robust proof of concept than a complete game, it's a reasonable outlay for an afternoon's fun. [April 2017, p.121]

Dexed is one of the most boring virtual reality experiences I've had.

Dexed is the kind of thing you might play a few times, in short sittings, and never return to again. There's not enough here to earn your continued interest, and while the on-rails shooting works well and seems promising at first, the game it's attached to fails to build on that initial seed of an idea.

This game is a passable, not great on rails shooter. After 30 minutes I felt like I was done with it.
