Sep 12, 2018Despite all my gripes with the game, I still can recommend Detective Gallo. It really starts to take flight as it goes on, and it has a greatly paced plot. The hard-boiled detective Gallo was a lot of fun to play as, and the surrounding cast and environments all blended well together. The typical difficulty of the genre does rear its head at times, but fairly linear progression makes it manageable. Detective Gallo is definitely a game that you’ll want in your lib-rooster-y.

Oct 20, 2018With great characters, good writing, and a fun story, Detective Gallo does well. It’s only marred by a few shortcomings such as a short run-time, illogical puzzles, and lots of backtracking.

Aug 20, 2018The cartoonish art style, the dark sarcasm, (most of) the puzzles, and the unpredictable story all heavily suggest this game has the makings of a hit. It’s unfortunate that a few bad eggs spoil the experience a smidge.

Sep 14, 2018Detective Gallo looks like Howard the Duck met a 90's adventure, and both ended up in an episode of Ducktales. It might have it's flaws, in terms of writing, but it still is an enjoyable experience and a feast for the eyes for fans of the genre.
-
Sep 7, 2018An entertaining point & click adventure which offers you plenty of humor. The story has plenty of plot twists which makes for a refreshing, visually appealing game. Playtime is relatively short and the character development is very limited by consequence. Nevertheless, Detective Gallo is a fun diversion while it lasts.

Sep 5, 2018In the end, if you're looking for a modern take on classic games like Monkey Island, Sam & Max, or Broken Sword then Detective Gallo will certainly do the trick but it definitely doesn't bring many new and exciting elements to the table.
