A good game with 23 levels to pass the time in. Lots of upgrades to purchase ,and some cosmetics earned through completing optional objectives. My only complaint is having to do the mission from the beginning in order to finish one optional objective.

The game is nearly exactly what fans wanted. Controls take a moment to adjust but didn't hamper much. I already want the second game!

We LOVE it when developers do remakes like this, give us the same game just polish the everloving heck out of it. Maybe some added side missions for new content. That's it, do that and you will succeed almost every time. Spyro is another good example of this.

pretty great game for a low price, i found this version easier than the old one, that i bought 3 months ago on ps4, aiming was feeling old , and some others things bothers me.
but in the remake things like the skate thing to run away is awesome.
its crazy that dialogues from 2005 are attacked by "journalist" (they should go play on the highway),such crap times..
    dope game!!

Still a great game! Looks awesome and plays smoother then in the past. They do have to fix some bugs but they aren't totally game breaking.

Same situation as SS:BFBB. It's a good remake, feels dated because it's a bit too more faithful to the original.

This is a remake done right. "It plays like how you remember it" thats' what the Developers set out to do when they announced they were remaking this cult classic game. with some added new content a new mission never played before and story mission challenges to add replay value, This game offers mindless fun at a quality price. it's the same audio from the original with some new dialogueThis is a remake done right. It is a great remake of the 2005 game, it does have some glitches here and there but I’m sure that will be fixed with an update.

It’s fun to just mess around for hours, probing people

This was an awesome and well made blast from the past. I played all destroy all humans games back in the day and this was so nice to see actually come out and be incredible. Amazing destruction. Tons of laughs, just excellent.

Proof that games made during the 5th and 6th generation we're the best as this game joins many others as a remake or remaster. The aesthetic was very drastically changed for the character models, but I feel the more cartoony character models work better with this game. My only issues with this game are that after completing it and achieving all the trophies, there isn't much replayability. You unlock everything and then there isn't much to do that you haven't done before. Though it is replayable if you leave the game on your shelf for a while and come back to play it again. A simple fix could be to have a mission creator for the community to establish. Overall though, I hope the rest of the destroy all humans games get the same treatment this one received. Expand

Brilliant remake, a new classic, having so much fun with it, I loved this game as a kid and Black Forest and THQ have done a fantastic job of reminding me of that with updated gameplay mechanics, graphics and additional content. Bring on Destroy All Humans 2 remake!!!

I really enjoyed the original version of this game That I played on the original Xbox. I then played the somewhat recent re-release on PlayStation 4. I also enjoyed that version. At this point, I am more frustrated than I have basically ever been at a video game. The worst part is, is that I am a huge completionist with trophies so now I am going through absolutely miserable, poorly check pointed, rage trying to beat this game. The worst part is probably the fact that I have had the health bar of the final boss completely empty two or three times now and that isn't when they die. Expand

Destroy All Humans! is and always will be my favorite franchise, there’s just nothing else like it out there. The animations and movement are stiff, combat is held back by restrictions like the contextual menu, the sandboxes have nothing to do, the side challenges were an afterthought, and so on.

Black Forest Games didn’t just want to remake the game but our memories of playing the game. Did they succeed? In my opinion, yes, in fact, I believe they made the game better than I remember. It’s not perfect, there are still a few disappointments and annoyances, but great galaxies the remake not only managed to subvert my expectations but even exceed them! It surprised me in so many ways, and overall I had a blast with it. I can’t wait to replay it over and over just as I did with the original back in the day!

Fans of the series have no reason not to pick it up. It’s the game we love with a few changes to keep it fresh, a lot of fun new bells and whistles, and a gorgeous new coat of paint, for twenty dollars less than what the original game cost. If you’re a newcomer and you’re looking to try something unique and fresh, you love sci-fi, destructible sandbox environments and want a game where you can just load up your Spotify playlist and cruise around causing chaos or a fun weekend killer, give the game a look!

    7.5/10 - Very Good/Recommended

    Positives

A well-made faithful remake of a fun, solid cult classic
    Decent challenge for completionists
    Very enjoyable gameplay loop
Absurdly fun psy powers with funny ragdoll physics
    Enjoyable boss fights
Corny story and fun, campy dialogue
Fantastic voice acting, from Richard Horvitz especially
    Gorgeous destructible environments
Actual unlockable rewards, no microtransactions or loot boxes
    More replayability than the original
    Great ‘stress ball’ game

    Negatives

    Some disappointing missed opportunities
Great moments, lines and easter eggs from original not present
Challenges and missions can become repetitive
Potential frame drops on older console versions
    Technical issues, bugs & crashes
Occasional frustrating difficulty spikes, particularly in Capitol City

Personally I adore the remake, it would easily be an 8.5 without all the issues and disappointments, but I do absolutely love the game and I sincerely hope BFG gets the opportunity to remake DAH!2 as I’d really love to see what they can do with it. But I do also hope they get more time to work on it because it’s easy to tell this remake could have been even better than it is if they just had the time. I still weep internally for what could have been a 3D, explorable Mothership.

Here’s hoping THQ Nordic greenlights some patches and DLC, and that humanity isn’t totally wiped out before that can even happen! Fingers crossed for a remake of DAH!2 in 2022!

Such a rad remake!! Destroy all Humans takes you back to the days when game developers put their love into a game and took chances that would be deemed heresy nowadays. This game is a breath of fresh air even for being a remake and anybody who loves or misses that old ps2 feeling should give it a shot!

a trip to childhood, improved the graphics without forgetting the soul of the game.
a lot of improvements that makes each choice feel unique, the bad thing is that it is too stealthy and has a repetitive dialogue, but taking that out is pretty good.

    The graphics were good...
    But it's so boring.
The background of the game is American boring.
It would have been more interesting and interesting if aliens came to harass mankind against the backdrop of the Middle Ages, Egypt, Mayan, and Vietnam.

Another masterfully done remake from top to bottom. Jump into an aliens skin and reek havoc upon the humans with blasters and space saucers. New and old players should definitely look to picking this remake up.

Mission objectives are simplistic and the multiple sandbox maps are small by modern standards, but creative abuse of the game’s destructive weapons never fails to raise a smile. A welcome reinvasion. [Issue#179, p.70]

A decent remaster. Despite some shortcomings it still is fun to join the destructive alien on his adventure, that not only appeals to a new audience, but to old Crypto-fans alike.
