A good game with 23 levels to pass the time in. Lots of upgrades to purchase ,and some cosmetics earned through completing optional objectives. My only complaint is having to do the mission from the beginning in order to finish one optional objective.

The game is nearly exactly what fans wanted. Controls take a moment to adjust but didn't hamper much. I already want the second game!

We LOVE it when developers do remakes like this, give us the same game just polish the everloving heck out of it. Maybe some added side missions for new content. That's it, do that and you will succeed almost every time. Spyro is another good example of this.

pretty great game for a low price, i found this version easier than the old one, that i bought 3 months ago on ps4, aiming was feeling old , and some others things bothers me.
but in the remake things like the skate thing to run away is awesome.
its crazy that dialogues from 2005 are attacked by "journalist" (they should go play on the highway),such crap times..

My only issues with this game are that after completing it and achieving all the trophies, there isn't much replayability. You unlock everything and then there isn't much to do that you haven't done before. Though it is replayable if you leave the game on your shelf for a while and come back to play it again. A simple fix could be to have a mission creator for the community to establish. Overall though, I hope the rest of the destroy all humans games get the same treatment this one received. Expand

The worst part is, is that I am a huge completionist with trophies so now I am going through absolutely miserable, poorly check pointed, rage trying to beat this game. The animations and movement are stiff, combat is held back by restrictions like the contextual menu, the sandboxes have nothing to do, the side challenges were an afterthought, and so on.

Black Forest Games didn’t just want to remake the game but our memories of playing the game. Did they succeed? In my opinion, yes, in fact, I believe they made the game better than I remember. It’s not perfect, there are still a few disappointments and annoyances, but great galaxies the remake not only managed to subvert my expectations but even exceed them! It surprised me in so many ways, and overall I had a blast with it. I can’t wait to replay it over and over just as I did with the original back in the day!

Fans of the series have no reason not to pick it up. It’s the game we love with a few changes to keep it fresh, a lot of fun new bells and whistles, and a gorgeous new coat of paint, for twenty dollars less than what the original game cost. If you’re a newcomer and you’re looking to try something unique and fresh, you love sci-fi, destructible sandbox environments and want a game where you can just load up your Spotify playlist and cruise around causing chaos or a fun weekend killer, give the game a look!

    7.5/10 - Very Good/Recommended

    Positives

A well-made faithful remake of a fun, solid cult classic
    Decent challenge for completionists
    Very enjoyable gameplay loop
Absurdly fun psy powers with funny ragdoll physics
    Enjoyable boss fights
Corny story and fun, campy dialogue
Fantastic voice acting, from Richard Horvitz especially
    Gorgeous destructible environments
Actual unlockable rewards, no microtransactions or loot boxes
    More replayability than the original
    Great ‘stress ball’ game

    Negatives

    Some disappointing missed opportunities
Great moments, lines and easter eggs from original not present
Challenges and missions can become repetitive
Potential frame drops on older console versions
    Technical issues, bugs & crashes
Occasional frustrating difficulty spikes, particularly in Capitol City

Personally I adore the remake, it would easily be an 8.5 without all the issues and disappointments, but I do absolutely love the game and I sincerely hope BFG gets the opportunity to remake DAH!2 as I’d really love to see what they can do with it. But I do also hope they get more time to work on it because it’s easy to tell this remake could have been even better than it is if they just had the time. I still weep internally for what could have been a 3D, explorable Mothership.

Here’s hoping THQ Nordic greenlights some patches and DLC, and that humanity isn’t totally wiped out before that can even happen! Fingers crossed for a remake of DAH!2 in 2022!

Destroy all humans is a 3rd person shooter that takes place in 1950s America, and no this isn’t why this game is stuck in the past.. This remake of the 2005 game of the same name is one little revamped collection of everything wrong with video games.
Here you play as an alien with one mission.. destroy all humans!
This game takes place across a nearly 5 hour long journey and is comprised of a bunch of individual missions..
Here in destroy all humans you have a gun that can be used to electrify humans, and youre able to pick them up and throw then.. you also have a saucer that does about the same as your gun, and throughout this games missions youll be goin back and forth between the two..
Destpory all humans starts with promise, but ends with problems..
Its charming and humorous, but this care into world buildings deteriorates as the game goes on.. quickly turning into repetitive slog of mission structure games of today have thankfully fixed…
You feel handcuffed here from start to finish.. youre forced for the most part to complete missions the way the game wants you to.. especially in the beginning, tons of stealth missions where youll be taking the form of certain humans to sneak into areas like a hitman game, but the moment youre seen its game over… something that plagued the assassins creed series and has since been fixed.. its frustrating and annoying to try and get lucky enough to take the identity of a human without being seen trying to do it.. it isn’t tense or fun like a stealth game should be, and the instant fail makes it even more annoying… speaking of annoying.. the bosses in this game… 3 tier bosses with no checkpoints… all feeling ridiculously cheap, and you don’t have much of an arsenal to deal with them, you do get new weapons as the game progresses, but theres not enough ammo given for you to properly even get to play with these weapon upgrades. And upgrading your weapons and character doesn’t do enough to make any significant changes in the feel of this game or your power… really making the overall gunplay unsatisfying for both gun and ship…
that being said, destroy all humans does again have its charm, especially during its first half..
There is potential in this game with its mechanics.. but destroy all humans never lets you have any fun with these mechanics and doesn’t use them to their full potential…
    I give Destroy All Humans
    a 6/10

It retains the same feel and the graphics are so well done. This is a genuine attempt at a remake and thank you so much Black Forest, they have executed excellently and sets a standard. Crypto 137 is probably one of the most hilarious, likeable and playable, "bad guy" in any video game. His dialogue and the way he acts is what I imagine an Alien who truly doesn't give a crap about Earth or his missions. Well maybe not talk perfect English but I digress.
Set in 1950's America, you and your forces travel to Earth to find another member of your species but soon discover a bigger plot on this planet and it's up to you to uncover it and destroy it before the whole world finds out.
Not much else I can say except I would recommend this to anyone because it's a super fun game that is truly easy to beat but rewarding especially if you want to complete every side missions and stuff.

The controls are solid and the open world feel makes it fun. You can travel back to certain areas before you complete the game too. Finding the collectibles and doing the various challenges are possibly one of the best features in the game. Although, finding drones, for instance, is going to require a web tutorial unless one wants to scour every inch of every level. At least one level has 50 drones to find. The difficulty level was solid also - with the exception of at least one of the challenges and the Silhouette boss fight which was just a ridiculously disproportionately more difficult fight compared to anything leading up to it. The game could have scored higher if not for those kinds of cheesy difficulty aberrations.

The upgrades are attainable and the weapon variety gives each battle or stealth mission a degree of freedom in how to approach, which makes it fun and replayable.

The visuals are nice and the terrains and settings are large and fitting. The humans and government are a little stereotypically dumb, but in a way, that fits with the silliness of the game. I also do have a preference for games with recharging energy and health, and this game delivers.

It can be a little crass at times, but nothing compared to some of the foul-mouthed and worse obscene games out there.
