Apr 23, 2019I’m a big fan of From Software, but this slow paced VR walk around a house is just plain boring. The story is uninteresting and makes little sense, and while the atmosphere of the house is well done, the game does little with it. I struggled to spend the 4-5 hours to beat it, and when I did, it went immediately into the garage sale.

Jan 13, 2020The graphics are nice enough but it is a point and click adventure and I just didn't have any interest in the story.

May 13, 2020Unusual game for VR. Kind, family, dramatic. If you want relax and not shoot, if you was child. Fairy quest. Very easy platinum trophy.

CD-ActionMar 25, 2019The only link between this and previous FromSoftware’s games is pain. Deracine is not painfully hard though – it’s painfully boring. It does tell a good enough story, looks fine and does VR well, but interactions it offers are very limited and it is simply not much of a game. [02/2019, p.32]

Dec 17, 2018Déraciné has equally surprised and disappointed me. It's a gorgeous, story-driven experience, but the story has a few pacing issues and can drag along while not making the most of its gameplay mechanics. It's a slow burn, but if you enjoy eerie stories and atmosphere, Déraciné may be worth checking out. It certainly pulled me in and punished me for my naivete as the story grew darker by the minute.

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 12, 2018While mechanically stiff, like an automaton, this is still a compelling VR fairy tale. Lore hunters are rewarded, but even the less dedicated will want to go digging. [Issue#157, p.89]
