In Demetrious The Big Cynical Adventure you play as Bjorn Thonen an Antique Dealer. Bjorn wakes up to a phone call informing him that he has been robbed. His money is gone and an Important Antique Stone Tablet is missing. Playing as Bjorn, you get the help of your next-door neighbor Sarah and her obnoxiously annoying daughter Caroline. Together, you solve puzzles and find objects Which bring you further along in the mystery of the stolen tablet. With a strange and wild cast of characters and some rather off the wall conversations, you're off on a big cynical adventure.
For the PlayStation Trophy Hunters, there is a total of 37 trophies including a Platinum Trophy. Although the Game has the cross-buy feature on the PlayStation Store the PlayStation trophy lists are separate for the PS4 and PS VITA versions which make for a total of 74 Trophies including 2 Platinum Trophies. I struggled early on with this title while playing on the PS Vita but as soon as I switched over to playing on the PlayStation 4, I was able to move past the features that were causing issues including situations where the small PS Vita Screen was a hindrance to seeing everything I needed to move forward.
I rate this game a 7.5 / 10 score. Written and Reviewed by William F.

I'm a glutton for point and click games this one is a slow burner for me its funny toilet humor to be honest but the grind to solve puzzles was worth it finally beat the game
took me way longer than it should of as the amount of unneeded items kinda distracted me but the cookie hint system saved me as the game makes you revisit places a lot which isn't too annoying
    but despite some

but despite some irritation I enjoyed the game a lot of chatter and fun to be had even the toilet is spot on

Strange game :) Overall - it's nice. A lot of puzzles, and the sense of humor is specific, but from time to time is funny.

Some of the one-liners make me snicker, and the gameplay is decent despite the fact it relies on throwing overwhelming amounts of items at the player to slow them down. But Demetrios is nothing that great. Or special. The crudeness is unnecessary. The amount of things to sift through is unnecessary. And unfortunately, nothing entirely makes up for these downfalls.

Demetrios is a valiant effort from one-man developer COWCAT at reviving the witty point and click adventure game, but ultimately its selling point - the humour - is its downfall. The gameplay is fun and puzzling, the graphics are quirky, and occasionally the dialogue does get a giggle, but the characters are too unlikable and the jokes too obnoxious to make all ten hours (a good amount for a game of this genre) enjoyable.
