    This is a fantastic game. The story, characters, setting are so mimmersive. People calling this a 'walking simulator' clearly havent been playing like I have. Scrapping with mules, falling down mountains, clutching my breath as I try and evade BT's. I love just being in the world, wondering what cutscene is going to be next, what part of the story is going to be revealed. The world looksThis is a fantastic game. The story, characters, setting are so mimmersive. People calling this a 'walking simulator' clearly havent been playing like I have. I love just being in the world, wondering what cutscene is going to be next, what part of the story is going to be revealed. The world looks amazing and its a nice change of pace. Yes sometimes its a bit of a slog but vehicles, exoskeletons and the building carry the game and just when youre getting a bit bored the viepoint changes to cinematic and an amazing song comes on. 10/10 for me. This is not an action game or a stealth game, i guess its a delivery game, climbing, rappelling, tumbling, riding, driving to your next destination.… Expand

    People haven't given it the time it needs to flesh out and rushed with their reviews, while i don't think its a 10, more of a 8/10 or 9 i will give it one 10 to combat the poor 0 decisions of the hyped brats. This is called review bombing, by no means does this game deserve a 0, but kids. *shrugs*. At it's    it's been a ride 'oh wow its cool' 'oh **** its dull' 'and oh wow its cool again'

This is called review bombing, by no means does this game deserve a 0, but kids. *shrugs*. At it's worst it's a 6. 0 to me is, can't even start the game.

    I mentioned in another review on google the tedious walking mechanics, lucky some of that gets fixed later on in the game + you get vehicles wich made the game fun from the unbearable long trips on foot. (WICH WOULD OF BEEN ALLRIGHT if not for this SWAY LEFT AND RIGHT mechanic, sorry i cant really get behind it, its TO OFTEN).

    But the game really shines at this asynchronous multiplayer, building the world for others and them for you. Seeing roads/bridges/ ladders when i revisit areea, that were previously empty. It's exciting.
    THere are a few issues about this mechanic however. (UNLESS I am missing some information on how it all works)
    I feel like the people who will get the most out of it are the folk playing in the first few weeks, the ones creating the world. After most usefull paths are built. new guys won't have what to really build or noone will be left in the game to reap their 'like' rewards.
    Tho i think i remember someone saying they decay with time? I hope that's true, otherwise this would be a problem.

    But it's also a solution for the guys having a hard time with it, the PIONEERS will build the path so that new players can have a way easyer time trecking the world.
    If i would score this game for more categories, it'd be as such.
    Graphics 9/10
    Gameplay mechanics: 7/10
    Content/stuff to do:8/10
    Story: 8/10 average sci-fi story, idk why people moan its bad, every game out there is the same, i think they just wanted more. but he is good at keeping some mystery
    Music: 10/10
    A-multiplayer feature: 9/10

    Now i will also score the game as it develops:
    Intro 9/10 (3-4h in)
    Post-Intro 6/10 (8h in)
    Mid-Game: 9/10 unlocking bikes/new areeas and a lot of multiplayer features. Plus more enemies and stuff to do while treking so its not as lonely and empty.
    Late mid game: 20h+ in, 8/10 to much drawn out questing that could of been cut shorter. Think is u get slightly addicted to doing missions, but also that ends up making the game feel drawn out, so at this point i just went for main missions only. (kinda like with MGS5's side ops that got eh after a while)
    Late game: 9/10

    Overall not bad, but not the masterpiece people claim it to be.
    But it is different and the ideea in it is not bad, maybe not done completely right. If some other company picked this ideea up/engine they could make some really cool stuff. This game is like a 'skeleton'.
    I WISH THEY WOULD OPEN IT TO MODDING COMMUNITY ON PC ! HI *waves* we can make wonders.

    A true masterpiece!!! Its not a walking simulator! This game is not for everyone, but unique games like this are becoming extinct, which is a sad thing.

    Eu adorei o jogo, a história é muito cativante e curti o estilo de jogo.
    Tbm tem o review bombing que tá fudendo com a nota do jogo aqui. -_-

    Loving it. The cinematics, story and gameplay not to mention the social aspect. Simply a masterpiece ... Thought provoking film , definitely not made for those who prefer poor entertainment.

    Le pongo un 10 a razón de que hay un problema con muchos gamers inmaduros que le están poniendo un 0 de manera muy injusta, incluso segundos de haber salido el juego, solo basándose en los trailers, NO todos los juegos tienen que ser fornite, me parece increíble la estupidez de la gente. No cambiaré mi review ni mi nota hasta que se borren la mayoria de reviews injustas.     Jogo extremamente inovador e original. Nada como isto até hoje. Gameplay interessante e curioso. Traz uma nova linha de pensamento a todos os jogadores por aí fora. Gráficos excedem as expectativas e trilha sonora linda e tratada com cuidado e carinho. Volto a dizer, nada visto assim até hoje. Poderá não interessar toda a gente, mas certamente que me interessou a mim.

    Absolutely breathtaking. In a market where developers have been playing it safe with game design for the past 10 years this throws the rule book out the window and makes video game exciting again.

    After 15 hours of gameplay all i can say is this is an amazing game, kojima did it again, every detail in this game is absolutely fantastic, the soundtrack makes the game feel so alive like you’re inside it, i can’t stop playing it... i absolutely recommend it 100%, you can’t go wrong with this game.

    This is the best thing that has happened in game dev over the past 10 years, the level of gameplay and immersion is just amazing, add incredible music, physics and graphics here. Just brilliant, no comment!

    Something NEW and FUN that has brought the intrigue back to my video games. If you want a run of the mill generic open world game don't look here. If you want a super interesting world with a lot to learn and digest, with a satisfying and relaxing gameplay loop where you go on lengthy journeys. Get this

    What a unique and beautiful experience. A slow burn which rewards patience. A unique story with a moral message that only kojima could tell.

    This game is not for your average gamer who sits around playing fortnight or cod. This is a experience. If you want something truly different then this is your game. Take your time, explore and take in the world of death stranding.

    Очень классная игра с глубоким сюжетом. Недооценена лишь из-за того, что игроки привыкли к очень динамичным играм и не видят красоту death stranding

    Death stranding takes like a 7 to 8 hrs to get started, but after that it's story and gameplay progress faster.Its soundtrack is amazing along with many of other songs.It has 14 chapters and an epilogue. And grqphics are great too.

    Gorgeous graphics, stunning landscape and an emotinal and spiritual story. Hideo Kojima is an exceptual story teller as seen through the metal Gear franchise. This is the start of a new and compelling genre

If you go in thinking you’re going to have “fun” in the traditional sense of video gaming, you’re going to have a bad time. This is a revolutionary sci-fi movie that uses the gameplay to enhance it’s theme. It teaches you to think of others and help them out. I had fun building things for other players toI’m going to give you the real deal for this game and why I think it’s a masterpiece. If you go in thinking you’re going to have “fun” in the traditional sense of video gaming, you’re going to have a bad time. This is a revolutionary sci-fi movie that uses the gameplay to enhance it’s theme. It teaches you to think of others and help them out. I had fun building things for other players to use. Most people who are giving it low scores are judging it as a video game, not the immersive interactive cinematic experience that it is. I love the movie-length cutscenes, and thinking about the overarching themes behind the game. Give it a chance, you may love it or you may hate it.     Death Stranding reinvents how video game design can work. It takes you through an experience you didn’t expect, doesn’t hold back with its design intentions and execution, and takes the gamer through a journey like no other. This is a masterpiece that only Kojima could pull off.

    The game contains extremely hard but simple gameplay and very strong philosophy in the same time.The game gives you time in your travels to think. It's like when you stop reading a book for a moment to think harder about it's main point, but it gives you some simple and physically hard gameplay which is not interrupting your thinking process. Not for everybody. For me - excellent.

    Very large spaces that are perceived differently than in other games. Amazing mechanics that deepen the gaming experience. Very interesting story and staging in cut scenes. Beautiful graphics and excellent optimization.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
