    Unlike most people who have rated it, I have actually finished Death Stranding. Death Stranding to me is an absolute masterpiece and one of my favorite video games I've ever played. Its so freaking unique and I love it! Its such a nice of breath air from my years of shooters I've played. A common description you could see is "Death Stranding is boring" or "Death Stranding is a walkingUnlike most people who have rated it, I have actually finished Death Stranding. Death Stranding to me is an absolute masterpiece and one of my favorite video games I've ever played. Its so freaking unique and I love it! Its such a nice of breath air from my years of shooters I've played. A common description you could see is "Death Stranding is boring" or "Death Stranding is a walking simulator". Before the game even came out even I was worried I would be too bored of the gameplay but I ended up actually loving the gameplay! To me it is fun, challenging, engaging and quite frankly addicting. I absolutely love the Social Strand System where the players structures show up in others worlds! It is such an innovative and awesome idea to me. Reaching my destination is so satisfying especially when it includes a piece of the game's amazing soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard! Also an underrated part of all games is the sound design, which Death Stranding also has one of the best I've ever heard. Sound design is so hard to nail down and Kojima Productions has incredible audio design and incredible artwork. At some points in the game, it is the best looking game I've ever seen. The story I also love, especially the ending. It is absolutely mind blowing to me how much effort was put in to make this world feel real. So much detail in the history and descriptions.

    I really don't have any negative aspects I can even think of. I kinda wish some of the characters were more interesting and more complex but Sam Porter Bridges and Clifford Unger, especially Cliff, make up for them. I totally understand why people don't like this game because they don't like the game play or the story is too slow or confusing for them.     … Expand

    Finally a game that isn't run of the mill, its hard for developers to break from standard practices as they often know its a $ risk. While certainly not for everyone. The atmospheric approach in this game to thrust a player into a world that doesn't exist is quite impressive, all the while reminding them how human we are.

    It isn't your flashy game that grant you instant gratification like many other games do these days to attract more audience. Nor is it fitting within any catergory of games.     Nor is it fitting within any catergory of games. Most of the time this game has its quiet moments and those moments are absolutely fantastic. While the surrounding and environment makes you truly feel like you're alone. Manifestation of other players can be seen or heard. This makes the game less lonely but yet it feels so desolate. The devs and directing did this absolutely brilliantly.

    The transition within this game is just outright fantastic. Including the acting and cutscenes. Its a very well polished game and very well excecuted. While situated in a serious environment, this game does not stop to show and express the absurdity of what gaming is. A good reflection on life how we shouldn't deny the absurdity of life.

    Ita unique to it's core and there is no other games like this. Which is good.
    Kojima is pushing for something here. And rest assure that in the upcoming near future, many games will apply and use elements of Death Stranding to into their own.

    Great game, great story, best I've ever seen yet. This game is something different that others, this game has it's uniqueness. This game is not for stupid people, this game is made with meaning, with its own message to all people. Very emotional story, unpredictable plot twists. I really loved this game, it touched my heart.     Wonderful immersive experience. Story was excellent. Never got bored. Only thing I didn't like was the repetitive cutscenes linked to delivering packages, entering your room, etc.

    Perfect. I can’t imagine another game that would have such an interesting plot. I think that the gameplay was specially made so meditative so that you could think, understand, feel the plot and its ideas. This game has it all, an interesting and often unpredictable plot, incredible music, humor, the beauty of the game world and it’s not only about the graphics (it’s magnificent). I havePerfect.     Simplesmente perfeito. Famoso jogo ame ou odeie. História linda e cativante além de gráficos maravilhosos. A ação fica em segundo plano para um jogo que te desafia a todo instante em cenários devastados e desafiador.

    Absolutely amazing. We should celebrate the merely existence of this game. Bad reviews are just expecting an action game, and this is not one of those. It has some action parts, though, but the most important mechanic is go from A to B. This seems pretty simple, but every delivery is a journey. You never know if you are going to be surrounded by BT or attacked by MULEs.
    I recommend to play    Absolutely amazing. We should celebrate the merely existence of this game. Bad reviews are just expecting an action game, and this is not one of those.     I recommend to play it in hard mode. It gets really difficult to traverse some MULE camps and defeat some of the enemies. Technically is the best videogame I've seen in my ps4, the music is mesmerising and the story is well driven and very interesting, more intense than we are used to.
    This is simply a very beautiful game. I finished yesterday and I'm going to keep playing it at least until I get the platinum. We need more "authors" like Kojima. This is a very different game that will become a game of cult, if it isn't yet. Masterpiece.    … Expand

The gameplay is slow, methodical, and quiet for a vast majority of your time, but the stunning visuals, soundtrack, and impressively deep weight management/movement controls, along with bursts of stealth or action when you encounter other forces, keep it an engaging and very enjoyable experience for some. However, if that kind ofA fantastic game that is definitely not for everyone. The gameplay is slow, methodical, and quiet for a vast majority of your time, but the stunning visuals, soundtrack, and impressively deep weight management/movement controls, along with bursts of stealth or action when you encounter other forces, keep it an engaging and very enjoyable experience for some. However, if that kind of gameplay loop doesn’t sound appealing, I would recommend holding off on buying for now, or looking into things more. This game definitely will not appeal to all, but for those it does it is phenomenal. The story is masterful, world and lore interesting as all hell, and gameplay an amazing mix of many different aspects. If you think you may enjoy something different and special like this from what you’ve seen or read, I completely recommend picking it up.… Expand

    Great game, superb soundtrack and very good acting. Original setting and great feeling of movement on foot, maybe best in any game (I really can get there on foot?). The walking or climbing passages were captivating and needed bit of planning (it was best without using the map - simply by looking at the terrain.     I'm gonna keep it short and sweet. Most of the game is fairly slow and chill but it can be tense at times. There's a lot of cutscene and weird moments. The online helping aspect is cool and interesting.

    There's a lot of walking around in this game and a lot of people don't like that. I personally do and enjoy it a lot. Going out and delivering packages has it's moments. Unlocking new items and gadgets is fun and always interesting. The whole tone of the game is a breath of fresh air and i love it.

    In the end, this game isn't gonna be for everyone but that's okay. I recommend this game if this is the sort of thing that you are into.    … Expand

    Let me first start out by saying that it is very evident from some of the lower scored reviews and what they are saying that they have only played the very beginning of the game or haven’t even played it at all. The first 2 episodes are rather slow, and aim to lay the foundation for the story and expose the player to the fundamentals of traversal and cargo management. Like other Kojima games this game is huge and opens up after some initial slow chapters. The sheer volume of content from customization, tools, vehicles and weapons you will come across create a varied non repetitive experience. I advise anyone to get to chapter 3 and will in to it before forming an opinion on this game. There is a lot more to it than just going point A to B. That is a review for the first chapter or so. Also like other Kojima games, new abilities, tools and customizations are not spoon fed to you, you must explore the game and help the people in this world before they return the favor and provide you with useful upgrades and tools to help you on your journey west. I very much like this approach, it makes very new tool, vehicle, weapons, etc. feel earned. There is stunning imagery, music and a fascinating story here too. There is a lot under the surface waiting to be discovered. I can say after about 12 hours in this game I feel for it the way I did for Phantom Pain. It is an amazing, detail rich, well thought game that inspires the imagination and encourages the player to really play the game.… Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it. [Issue#299]

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
