    This game is definitely not for everyone, though I liked it a lot. If you don't enjoy particularly long cutscenes than don't play this game. It's a very confusing story and the gameplay isn't the best in the world, but I liked it a lot. The music is good and the scenery helps with that.     Is a very monotonous game, it has great music and world detail, but no more. The story is compelling but not enough to compensate for the immense boredom.

    Just make a movie already! I made it about 2 hours into this before I realized I've only actually been in control about 20mins. Between that and the disjointed, borderline homoerotic nature of the perception of the main character Sam, I realized this game just isn't for me. Journalists will condescendingly tell you "you just don't get it", but at the end of the day this game really is aJust make a movie already! It' also exists purely as an ego stroke for Kojima, who inserts his name in the credits at the beginning and end of every scene. Dude we get it, this is your game. I'd rather see the name of the character artists at the beginning and end of each scene because they're the real MVP's. They did such an awesome job at recreating what these actors actually look like that it's stunning, which is why I score it 4 out of 10. This game is also incredibly derivative of the Tom Cruise film Oblivion. From basic aesthetic, to some of the plot and character design. Kojima shouldn't be so proud of stealing. The rest is Kojima fluff wrap in a Prime delivery sim.… Expand

    Es un buen juego pero no una obra maestra que cambio la industria, aunque claro si cambio algo al ser un indie con presupuesto alto.
    Es un juego que no ha muchos les va a gustar y es entendible por lo monótono que se vuelve en ocasiones o el nulo acceso de armas durante parte del inicio del juego.
    La historia es lo que engancha al espectador para seguir adelante y continuar jugando.

    Kojimas masterful storytelling aside I understand the gameplay may not be for everyone but by the time the credits rolled I was thoroughly converted. The gameplay mechanics are strangely addictive and I have had hours of fun. The story is beautiful and bought me to tears and I recommend putting the time in.

    I didn't like this game at first because I thought it was just a delivery simulator with ghosts. But after coming back to it, I fell in love with the story and got addicted to the deliveries. In chapter 3 you get to use a vehicle and it makes a huge difference!!! Give this game a chance, this game will grow on you!!

    gameplay: No, it is not a walking simulator. The game largely focuses on crossing terrains, there are numerous ways and as the game progresses you gain new and useful technologies to customize your map making your life easier and helping other players. There are also several action sessions where you can use firearms and other weapons you use ... well, other things like projectiles. Enemies range from humanoid soldiers to giant creatures that look like they came out of a Japanese movie. There is a lot of variation in what you can do, from basic needs to leaving various fun interactions for other players while you find the ones they left for you.

    art: While the game has a more realistic footprint, it is interesting to note that several designs and scenarios are extremely more beautiful and more interesting than real landscapes. The characters also have an unusual design that is very well done.

    soundtrack: Imagine Bloodborne meets Cyberpunk, boss fights have this type of synthwave music in epic proportions, the songs from other points in history can vary well between drama and the wonder of discovering new mysteries and places. ALSO, we have Hideo Kojima's playlist that brings us unique experiences with real bands in reflective moments in the game that you will never forget.    … Expand

    The game is fun to play for about 10 hours. The graphics are majestic and capture the player's attention from the first minute of this post apocalyptic world. However that's it, after a while it becomes monotonous, you get used to graphics and lose interest immediately. The plot once again like Metal Gear has supernatural mumbo jumbo enemies, however it is not even close. Boring game,The game is fun to play for about 10 hours.     Love this game! It has a slow beginning, but once it picks up your hooked! You need to give it about 10 hours and then you can see why it's so addictive, only thing I dislike is how fast enemies respawn.

    Wow!! picked this up for the PC on release day. I've enjoyed every minute up through Act 2 (I think I'm nearing the end...:) ). I don't get the negative reviews...seems alot of folk need a ton of blood and death in their games. The story is fantastic and the interaction between your character and the BB is well done.     I liked Death Stranding, I think this game should have been made exactly that way and the game world needed this story and gameplay.

    96% positive review on Steam and someone review bombing just for a Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration. You must be Harvard graduate i guess. Blame this website too to letting these ignorant people to do this.

    An amazing game from start to finish. Beautiful near photorealistic scenery matched by some of the most detailed characters I've seen. The story is the real highlight as it kept me intrigued throughout and still resonates long after. Gunplay and melee combat can be frustrating. The inability to lock-on especially. This is where Death Stranding falls short in its execution. I alsoAn amazing game from start to finish.     PERFEITO!! Gráficos, história, Jogabilidade, Trilha Sonora etc.. Death Stranding é uma Belíssima música clássica, que não agradará aos funkeiros. Quem só joga tiro, porrada e, Bomba. Não entenderá a proposta do game.

The story is good but I feel has way too many elements in it and could have been a bit more simplified. The gameplay.....o the gameplay, this game is not fun to play, its loop of you delivering stuff gets old real quick. Plus the pacing and mission structure is not goodFirst of all!     I have never experienced a game like this. I don’t think we will experience another game like this for quite some time.

    The story is in true Kohima fashion - mysterious and extremely unique. As a completionist, I felt at times disconnected from the complex story.     I got the platinum for this game. If you had asked me my score up one completion it would have been a 10/10. However, after sitting on it for some time I have realized that this is not a game for everyone. You can not pick this up like you can an Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, Mario Kart, or Spider-Man and love it. It takes patience, appreciation for a story, and time (something that professional game critics do not have, in my opinion). I spent 200 hours in this game.

    This game deserves a good score for its beauty, unique story, and attempt to do what others have not done before - and for doing it decently.    … Expand

    Alright, I am absolutely in love with the world Kojima has created in this game but holy crap could he make it anymore boring? I found it an absolute chore to go through the story even though after finishing it I find myself looking up some of the scenes. I don't know how you could manage to make a story as interesting as this extremely boring. I got tired of the exposition dumps 1/4 in. I can appreciate expositions dumps as much as the next guy but at least give it to us in an interesting way rather than have some guy in a hologram talk for way too long

    The gameplay is literally go from point A to point B and if you're unlucky some of the **** muck people will grab you and drag you 200 meters away from your cargo. A lot of people will tell you there are guns and grenades that surely would make the game fun but they don't. They still manage to make shooting boring. The only good thing about this game is the performances done by the amazing actors who deserved to be in a better game

    Anyway, if you really want to try this game then get it when it's on sale (at least 60% off) or rent it    … Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it. [Issue#299]

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
