Not a great game feels more like a mobile game than an actual full blown out game. It tries and wants to be like a new version of rocket league for kids, but falls short on all regards.

Terrible game from a developer that's become known for failed games this generation. The price is ridiculous for a broken game with server issues that haven't been fixed weeks after launch. Local split screen is also a broken mess with black boxes consuming screen space. The always online aspect means you'll be disconnected even playing locally. So many reasons to avoid this mess.

Nice game from a great developer that could be fun if there would be enough players to play with. Cute and quirky but probably too weird of concept to be successful. If only Ready at Dawn would make The Order 1887 instead!

Deformers feels like a mobile game sold at a ludicrous price. The content that is there is visually polished, though there is a very strange graphical blur over everything that constantly ruins the otherwise pretty game. Besides that though, everything is just too sparse. There's no tutorial, not enough game modes, not enough customization, and the game itself is not fun. It's hard to hit people, it feels bad to even move around, and it certainly doesn't feel fair at all either. On top of all this, the game has microtransactions, so you can waste your money on useless decorations for your little pug ball for the five minutes that you play before you get bored. Overall not a great game, its strengths cannot overcome its flaws by any means. Expand

Despite the amount of cool and interesting features this game has, the game isn’t enjoyable, and it never wants to work properly. Deformers is pretty interesting in concept and really changes up the arena-based shooter genre with quirky graphics and unique gameplay elements. But the game is mostly broken, and all of the players have pretty much already abandoned ship. For a thirty dollar game, I couldn’t ever recommend giving it a go. It’s a waste of time and money, to put it quite simply. If the bugs were cleaned up and the game was free to play, I could see Deformers standing on its own as a pretty decent game. Perhaps if they also added some additional content or single player modes, it could hold a bit more value, but I don’t think it could save the game. Ultimately, considering the number of currently active players and lack of initiative to fix the game by the developers, I think the damage has already been done. There is simply no reason to buy this game, period.

The concept in itself is fine, but De-Formers never turns a promising idea into a worthwhile experience. Shame.

Deformers provides some off-the-wall fun with an oddball cast of kooky characters. However, with such a limited selection of available content, you'll be better off waiting for an updated version to arrive before starting your roly-poly combat career.
