    I've just finished the 23 hour campaign of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for the first time and have started playing Draksiders II: Deathfinitive Edition and honestly I can’t believe I never got into the Darksiders series earlier, but honestly I'm kind of glad I didn't because the remasters of both games are absolutely fantastic and for memory I believe the reason I never got round toI've just finished the 23 hour campaign of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for the first time and have started playing Draksiders II: Deathfinitive Edition and honestly I can’t believe I never got into the Darksiders series earlier, but honestly I'm kind of glad I didn't because the remasters of both games are absolutely fantastic and for memory I believe the reason I never got round to playing the original games was after seeing some review footage on youtube and thinking that the graphics were rubbish even for that time period. But the remasters have flipped that on its head. The visuals, art style, level and character design are all fantastic here and the performance at 1080P, 60FPS on the PS4 is rock solid. The technical issues that other reviewers mentioned in the past must have been patched out by now as I don't recall having one single glitch my entire play through. Simply a solid fantastic looking game.

    Gameplay wise this game is a blast to play and its almost hilarious how much Darksiders borrows from the God of War franchise, right down to the combat style, loot system and platforming, but does it all so brilliantly that it’s a cut above it in every way. As I was never a big fan of God of War and couldn't understand why that franchise was as highly rated as it was. Darksiders is a classic case of take what’s already been but build on it until perfection.

    But knock-off's aside Darksiders earns tones of creative points in its level design, characters, puzzles, diverse environments and intriguing boss battles. The art style is superbly done and in this day and age with the Triple-A games industry focusing too much on realism there is something refreshing about playing a game set in a quirky over the top hi-fantasy world where nothings real but everything just looks cool. With the post-apocalyptic feel of nature reclaiming the decimated city streets being taken over by demon lords at the same time, the visual style falls somewhere in between 'The Last of Us', 'Lords of The Fallen' and 'Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’. The large diversity of the environments is another sparkling gem and they all connect together in the overworld seamlessly. Unlike most puzzle based games the puzzles in Darksiders are actually unique to any game of this genera, and fun to traverse and conquer require a fair amount of thought without pushing the player to give up and look up the quick guide on Youtube.

    The only two major flaws in Darksiders are firstly the fact that although the game is bursting with rich story and lore that begs to be explained and uncovered at every turn, the game does a pretty rough job at telling the story for the most part and I often found myself reading the plot line on Wikipedia as I went along just to keep up. Second is the voice acting of the main character War. While the rest of the supporting cast do superb jobs in their respective roles (Particularly Mark Hamill as The Watcher)War's actual voice may be suiting to his character but his lines are very trite and dull as well as bleak and ominous throughout and his tone remains completely unchanged regardless of what's happening around him.

    All in all Darksiders gets a 9 out of 10 as its not perfect ... But it is friken awesome. If you’re like me and missed out on the original game you would be an idiot not to give Warmastered Edition a try now particularly at its current price, IT'S A STEAL!    … Expand

    DmC and God Of War have always been references in the hack'n'slash style of play, and for a long time it was just that until Darksiders arrived.

    If you like this style of game, you will probably love this game, different scenarios, enemies, skills, a good story being contacted and especially those epic scenes of a protagonist who knows he is strong and will demonstrate it.     The original Darksiders was a very well put together game. This remaster uses the original and improves upon it quite allot. The textures are up-scaled and look great as well as well as the performance. The remaster is also a huge improvement on Darksiders: II The Deathinitive Edition, which is not as polished as this remaster.     El mejor juego de aventuras y hack and slash que he jugado en mucho tiempo, una mezcla perfecta entre Zelda, God of war y Devil may cry, con unos gráficos y animaciones que son una gozada, se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

    This game series is one of my favorite of all time. I love each and every entry.
    As the first game in the series, it does a great job of hooking people in with its interesting story, characters, and most important of all its combat.
    Recently got the Blade and Whip edition on PS4 and played it again.

    I passed with pleasure, got a dose of nostalgia and good emotions. In our time, such games are a rare find, so I advise everyone to try it. The first time it was held back in 2010 on the Xbox 360. Then it was littered with a bunch of other great games, but now, when there are no such games at all, you get even more impressions and constantly say to yourself "damn, where are these games now?"

И вот второй раз я её проходил уже на PS4 в 2016 и черт подери, а игра то самое то! Хороший сюжет, запоминающиеся персонажи (особенно боссы), не плохой слешер. И вообще после выхода Darksiders 2, в игре появилась атмосфера, которая меня, почему то, не зацепила в 2010м.
    Да, кстати, сейчас продолжительность кажется даже не достаточной :), по сравнению с Death Stranding, NieR: Automata, да и с той же Darksiders 2!
    Резюмирую: с 2012 года серия Darksiders стала одной из моих любимых франшиз.
    Darksiders Genesis ещё не прошел, не знаю уж очень она отличается геймплейно, посмотрим!    … Expand

    были проблемы с оптимизацией в локации с пауками, вплоть до вылета или перезагрузки.
    Сама игра норм.

    Great game great update. Well done guys! This was one of my favorite games last generation and to play it again on my ps4 with better visuals is a joy. Great graphics, great combat and a good long campaign. Just kinda weird this wasn't released before the Darksiders 2 deathfinative edition lol. But honestly peps go buy this as it's really well priced plus we all want and need Darksiders 3!

So I figured why not give them a try before I go out and spend money on a series that I have never played before? The first two games are on Xbox game pass so its stupid not to take advantage of that.

    Before I even started to play the game, I kept hearing and reading comparisons to the Nintendo series, Zelda. While playing it, it didn’t quite feel like a traditional Zelda game. I think a big reason for that is the combat, the combat felt better than any Zelda that I have ever played. I realize that’s going to upset Nintendo fans but that’s just my opinion.

    The more that I thought about the game, the more I do see the comparisons. There are dungeons all over the place, when you go into a dungeon you get an item. You then have to use the new item to solve some puzzle and it’s sometimes helpful in defeating enemies. Also a lot like Zelda, when you solve a puzzle it makes a sound. Its hard to describe a sound in an article but when you hear that sound, that pitch you know that you have defeated the boss or solved the puzzle or you know that you accomplished something.

    This game came out 2010 and the remaster was released in 2016 so the remaster is a couple years old but the original game is only 8 years old. I can say with absolute certainty that the game seems to have aged well or at least the remaster is very well done. If you haven’t played Darksiders yet, it’s definitely worth it.    … Expand

    Darksiders is the best Zelda game I've played thay wasn't developed by nintendo. I'm not going to pretend the game doesn't have issues. Plotholes, a cliffhanger ending, and a difficulty curve that goes up and down on a whim. It could be argued that it borrows too heavily from other titles (Zelda and God of War primarily) but being the first game from a new studio I can't blame them forDarksiders is the best Zelda game I've played thay wasn't developed by nintendo. It could also be argued that the individual aspects of the game are somewhat medicore (combat, puzzles, level design), but I'd say that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Look past Darksiders relatively small flaws and you'll find a game that is perfectly paced always giving you something new and fresh to do every hour or so. A game by gamers for gamers, Darksiders is an absolute classic in my eyes. The remaster is a noticiable improvment over the original version but the original still looks fine so no extra points for that. But the remaster does have a bug where sometimes the cutscenes will skip automatically, but it should be easy enough to find them on youtube so this issue is an annoyance at worst… Expand

    Excelente juego de accion al mejor estilo, GOW y DMC, con una buena historia y un amplio abanico en las posiblidades de skill realmente este juego merece la pena, una lastima que no haya tenido la trascendencia que merecia!

На пс4 прошел ее сегодня.На прохождение ушло 16 часов, игра показалась несколько затянутой, под конец стало слишком много головоломок, как будто я играю в портал или мега мэн. Так же немного бесили некоторые локации, к примеру левел дизайн локации с Плакальщицей. Очень запутано, по карте ориентироваться тяжело. А так игра - Бомба. Война -Играл в нее на пк давным - давно, люблю эту серию.     I personally picked this game up as a child and for the time it provided satisfying combat and nice puzzles along the journey, I understand how people may see the game to be lackluster in comparison to games at the time but considering the developers hadn't many games to there belt it's a really good attempt at making an engaging story and environments waiting to be explored. In comparison to most games, its story does fall short and leaves the viewers in the dark for a large majority or the game but where it lacks in story, the game excels in making the player feel powerful as the hack and slash through demons and Angel's alike. There are also collectables to find which can make you more powerful by upgrading your health and wrath or providing you with souls to buy new combat moves and other helpful things. You also explore a wide variety of areas-from cities overrun in vegetation and demons to desertous regions with large sand worms keeping you on edge. The game borrows heavily from other games like the legend of zelda with its puzzles, and devil may cry with the aesthetic and combat. If you like those sort of genres then you should give this game a try as it will provide you with around 30 hours of fun gameplay. Also, I think this game gets alot of love by the atmosphere which is truly great, you play as one of four horseman on his path to redemption during the end war between the legions of heaven and the dregs of hell and on your journey you truly feel like a force to be reckoned with and to me, this game deserves a 10 out of 10.… Expand

    Buen Hack and Slash, si eres fanático se esté genero te lo recomiendo bastante, la historia no es la gran cosa, pero no lo necesita, su gameplay es bastante divertido y es lo que seguramente buscas en este título.

    This game is one of gems of the past that i think is a great experiance for anyone
    Great story, great gameplay, great characters
    But as with any game there are some glitches that won't ruin the experiance but it's just a little annoying

    this game inspired me to play this type of genre more, I liked it a lot, the story is good and the gameplay is very good, the maximum difficulty is a good challenge

    I’m glad we got two wonderful action games out of the Darksiders property, even if that’s all we ever get, and I’m really glad I played them again, because they’re not lost a step.

    Darksiders Warmastered Edition is a fantastic game that maintains all of what made it great in 2010. Its visual upgrades and smoother gameplay experience makes for a fun time at a very reasonable asking price. Maybe this will prompt a sequel? One could only hope. Until then, enjoy the hell out of this one.
