    Another excellent Souls game.More brutality,beautiful vistas,running away,hair pullng frustration,mighty triumphs,oh so close defeats and victories in the most polished game in the series.New mechanics are cool as are the wealth of items at your disposal.Also,damn Farrons keep,damn it to hell.Veterans can find a challenge here,newbies can only pray or be prey.Haha

    Honestly i have been playing from software games since darksouls 2. None of the other games i played i finished and i just eventually loose total interest. Sekrio on the ither hand is truly a masterpiece in every single way! The sword fighting is better then any other sword game period! The environments are absolutly incredible and vibrant, and the graphics on ps4 pro are breath taking!Honestly i have been playing from software games since darksouls 2.     I haven't had this much fun with Souls game since Demon's Souls! While I loved Dark Souls 1 and 2 there felt like something was missing for me...I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Dark Souls 3 seems to have added all the positive from the previous games and a few negatives(framerate).

    Anyway anybody that rates this game less than an 8 needs their head examined..

    I love this game. It feels like Demon's souls had a baby with Bloodborne. It's a faster Dark Souls. Any negative reviews, especially the 0s are just absolutely garbage.

    What a fantastic closing chapter to the Souls series. Miyazaki is a masterful game designer, and the gameplay and atmosphere of this is top notch. I haven't played a better, newer series of games the past few generations. Well done, From Software.

    This is Return of the King of Dark Souls. Improved on every facet of Dark Souls. Now a bigger, more dynamic, more responsive combat. Great fun. Can't stop playing. Played 20 hours and getting better by the minute. Easy 10/10

    I have nothing to say but praise the sun! Anyway I wished it could be harder....The graphic is OK,but the frame is not that stable,hope it will be fix by an update.I ve heard that this would be the last Dark souls game.So enjoy it. Collapse

    There is one very bad thing about Dark Souls 3 - It will never let go of you, once you start playing it is almost impossible to stop.     This is the best Souls game. The level design is really well done. I admit that I died a lot in the beginning until I got back into the Souls groove. What a great game.

    Just started playing this last night, already clocked 9 hours, the graphics are stunning, combat is fluid and the music and voice acting IS PHENOMENAL. I love dark souls so much and if this truly is the final dark souls game, itll be a sad day for us all. But bittersweet, because we're sent off with a final stunning entry in this amazing series. Thank you FromSoftware.

    Just adding a 10 rating to counter the zero one player put in on the basis of poor keyboard support - this is the PS4 version of the game not the PC version. UI is fine on PS4.

    Coming from DS2 and Bloodborne (both on PS4) I love this game. The world is beautiful and it feels like the next logical step for the souls-borne series. Go buy this if you enjoyed any of the other games!!!

Dark Souls III is an action RPG heavily focussed on Combat: you have to attack, roll, defend, run, cover, cast spells, everything under the same stamina bar, which of course limits the amount of actionsDark Souls III is, accordingly to its creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the last game in the series, and what a way to go. Like its predecesors, beating this game is not an easy feat to achieve. Dark Souls III is an action RPG heavily focussed on Combat: you have to attack, roll, defend, run, cover, cast spells, everything under the same stamina bar, which of course limits the amount of actions you can do in acertain amount of time, and that is the most important thing to consider here: resource management and strategy. Every item you use, and every weapon you chose to hold, changes the gameplay: would you rather be a damage sponge tank that cant roll and moves slowly?, or you can be a fast moving/weak attacking warrior that barely stands after a solid hit?. There's an absurd amount of gameplay styles in here, and enough variations to keep you comming back for more, to try to mix up things a little. For every defeated enemy, you earn souls, which are your experience and currency, and upon death, you lose every single soul you have in stock, and only have 1 chance to retrieve them in the place you previously died, so approach very carefully if you dont want to lose them forever.

    Graphics wise, the game looks incredible, filled with medieval epic vistas, to hellish deeps and dark catacombs and forests, even magnificent looking castles wich sometimes reminded me of Bloodborne. On PS4 there are few instances of framerate drops, but then again, PS4 is not a PC, so dont expect the ultimate visual experience in this version. Controls are rock solid, responsive and sensitive, so there's no complaint there. Sound design is incredible and immersive, specially when played with a headset: the distant hidden foes arround the corner, the backstabing enemies behind you, the sound design in this game can save your life many times if you do pay atention. Level design is complex and has enough variation to keep you on your toes, though the overall world is nowhere as near as genious as it was in the original Dark Souls, but not as linear as Dark Souls II, its more like a "Bloodborne" overlay. The game is lengthy, and it may take up from 30 to 50 hours to beat, deppending of your skills; as a subjective perception i would say is longer than Dark Souls and Bloodborne, a little shorter than vanilla Dark souls II. The soundtrack, is filled with bombastic themes, and some others are sad, a couple of them will resonate with long time fans of the series.

    In the end, Dark Souls III feels like a crowning achievement of the developer and Miyazaki, and a really well placed game with tons of content, gameplay styles and very high (very very very high) levels of challenge, specially on new game plus, thus giving us one of the most solid and replayable trilogies ever concieved.    … Expand

    What should I say? It's another top quality experience from From Software even though it doesn't achieve the dense athmosphere of Boodborne. Not quite as hard as previous entries, it is a highly satisfying and beautiful conclusion to the series that made the biggest impression on me in recent years. Thank you From Software!

    Dark souls 3 is my new Skyrim. Couldn't get past one third of Dark Souls 1 / 2 or Bloodborne
    Just stopped playing because theres never a moment when youre on top of the game. It's a constant struggle and theres nothing driving you to continue.

    Every cool enemy has a chance to drop their armor / weapon.
    The bosses arent insanely difficult and if youre having trouble you can summon an offline npc to help
    It's still crazy deep. After some time you'll start to appreciate the complexity of the menus and stat scaling

    I cannot bring myself to start new game+ becuse i feel compelled to level up all my gear beforehand. But i desperately want to. The Last of Us and Shadow of the Colossus are the only other games i waned to immediately restart    … Expand

    Just amazing! It's my first dark souls game( I played Bloodborne and wish to try more from From Software) and all I can say it's that everything in this game shows dedication and love for videogames.

    Fantastic game! The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is addicting, and story is well told. The story is souls games has never been shoved in your face. It is there if you want to experience it but you can just ignore it and just focus on collecting items, leveling up and experiencing the atmospheric world.     It can be devilishly hard, last night it took me at least 12 deaths before I made it to the 1st bonfire in the catacombs. I very nearly gave up when I got invaded just round the corner from the bonfire and lost my souls! But 5 mins later I was back on, taking it cautious, using the knowledge I had gained on my surroundings and the types of enemies I was fighting, finally making it to the bonfire and then the Boss.

    This is what I love about DS3, it is hard to master but fair. The deaths you encounter are your own fault. You learn to become the best, the game makes you learn everything about it or you will not survive. But you can tackle it in a style that suits you, there are many options to build a character and style that suits your play style, adding replay value if you wish to start again with a completely different fighting style and weapons.

    The graphics are stunning, the environments brilliant and the world is a magical and terrifying place that will stay with you long after turning the game off, the controls are perfect. Enemies are varied and grotesque and bosses are intimidating and creative.

    The music score ranges from big epic themes to dark brooding and menacing sounds, each score fits the level wonderfully.

    I highly recommend this game to all PS4 owners. Even if you haven't played a souls game, put the time in and eventually it will click and you will have one of the current greatest gaming experiences.    … Expand

    A fitting end to the series, and I'm not even close to being done with it. This game is beautiful and everything I've come to expect and desire from a third entry in this wonderful serious. I look forward to not only DLC, but From Software's next title. If it's anywhere NEAR as refined an experience as Dark Souls has been, then they have my support.

    A great game like its predecessors, according to me, the world's best games. If this is the end of Dark Souls, I hope that From Software next game will be a new King`s Field games. Love from Sweden to From Software, you are the best.

    It's really early to say but this game is just amazing. The graphics look fantastic and the sound is just stunning. I really took 30 minutes to listen to its soundtracks. Overall, as I spent only 4 hours on this game, it still feels great ... totally worth it

    What an amazing game, 5 hours in, fought that first big boss, the map design is very reminiscent of dark souls 1 which makes me a happy man. Graphics are stunning, worth the framerate sacrifice on consoles by miles. I love this game. The framerate would take it down to a 9.7 for me, but since you can't do decimal points here, we're rounding up to that 10 happily.

    Phenomenal game. I constantly stop the very constant and frantic combat to take in the scenery which speaks to the detail of the game. This is one of those games I actually don't regret pre-ordering and almost DO regret not getting the season pass. 10/10 anyday.

    My game of the year - kept putting Uncharted down to play this.

    Played well over 300 hours completing the game multiple times with various character types. Simply awesome!

    One of the few games where I couldnt wait to play it again immediately after I finished it for the first time. Difficult yes, but s worth it. About the difficulty; if you have the grit to kill the first boss you're fine, you can finish the game.

    Played an hour and a half. Just what I wanted it to be. I've played DS 1, DS 2, Bloodborne and DS 3 is amazing and better than all 4 when it comes to gameplay and fps so far. The music is amazing and the view as well.

However, this is offset by the fantastic game play and surprisingly pleasant loading times (similar to Bloodborne post patch). It is also very light with a 19.4 GB install size as of patch 1.03 on the PS4.

    Weapon arts are great for the most part and add a lot of flavour to the game play (as well as fashion souls in some cases, particularly the long-sword stance) but thankfully aren't essential and as far as I am into the game , I'd say if you are not too keen on the idea you can play without them.. but they are fun!

    One thing that has struck me is the difference between the starting classes, you really do feel like you play your class, more so than the other Dark Souls games, however this may be as I am coming from hours upon hours of Bloodborne where each starting story was just that - a back story for your character.

    So be you on the PS4, Xbox One or PC, if you love Dark Souls or Bloodborne - get it!

    If you are unsure if you should buy it or not - get it!

    I'll start by saying this game is not for everyone. It's just not meant to be. If you've never played any Dark Souls or Bloodborne and you almost never pick the highest difficulty on your first try no matter what game it is then look away. There are plenty other good games for you.     I love games and I always seek a challenge. Game for me is not finished unless I did it on the highest difficulty level. Shortly after getting a PS4, my first console, my girlfriend convinced me to buying DS3. She heard it’s a difficult game and she though I might like it. I started with Thief class and the boss during tutorial just wiped the floor with me. After few hours of trying I stopped and took a break for couple of weeks. Then I came back and after many tries managed to beat the boss. In next few days I made probably every possible mistake one can make playing this game. Picking character with weapon that has shortest possible range, check, fat rolling, check, no upgrading weapons, flask, or even souls level, check. Yes, I just went straight to second location without doing anything with NPCs. I had no idea about sneaking. Enemy knights with spear were almost unkillable. When I couldn’t beat second boss with my tiny knife I took another break from the game for few weeks. Before coming back I read some tips and then started again but this time absolutely falling in love with this game. 48 hours and I finished for the first time and another 50h for second play through with both DLCs and I think about playing it again.

    This game rewards you, your skill and not character level or gear. If you want to be a badass, YOU need to become one, not your character. In most games, even on highest difficulty level once you pass some point, it gets really easy. In Dark Souls, if you’re fighting a dragon that is a size of a building and you’re just a tiny human, it’s going to be hard. If it punches you, your armour doesn’t matter and when you punch it with your toothpick don’t expect to inflict too much pain. Strength in such case is irrelevant, you’re just a tiny fly for them.    … Expand

Having never played a Dark Souls game before and hearing how difficult they can be, I came in with a sense of wonder...and with my guard up. I got BRUTALIZED by the first boss and asked myself if I could even continue playing.     I could go on and on about the good things in this game, but I'll just mention a few gear grinding faults, which do take some of the fun out of the whole experience. - Netcode is poor. It is quite a struggle to play co-op, when being able to connect is more dependent on stars aligning than clicking on all the    Dark Souls III has it's faults, but despite them, it is a near masterwork.

    I could go on and on about the good things in this game, but I'll just mention a few gear grinding faults, which do take some of the fun out of the whole experience.

    - Netcode is poor. It is quite a struggle to play co-op, when being able to connect is more dependent on stars aligning than clicking on all the right settings. Invading is also a such a pain in the arse, it's not even fun. If there is a fight club going, that's great, but try invading and you'll get lag stabbed to oblivion nine out of ten times.

    - Save the Earth-level of recycling: I do enjoy the continuity in the series, but items, enemies and boss fights feel quite recycled. It just takes that something away from feeling accomplished, when you've done the same thing with different skins many times before.

    - Balance issues: I'm quite disheartened about the weapon balancing in the current version. Sure, like in all souls games, everyone will have their favorite club to swing, but there two to three weapons that are too OP to be replaced. As a long-time halberd user, I was a bit irked I was forced to go the sword and shield route simply because there are easy to acquire options that are just too much better.

    Overall, this game is one of those that you can't miss. If From fixes some of the issues in the next game series, beyond Bloodborne, Metacritic will need to turn the score bar to 11.    … Expand

It's the sum of all parts, and the experience combined with god powers FROM has amassed over the last series of releases. Firelink is the Demon's nexus, complete with a new Maiden.     Having played the first two games and their respective DLC's, I come here with some scepticism as to how this story would fit in. The standard's were very high, expectations to the roof.

From the most common merchant, to the secret boss, everything is thought out and planned in classical Dark Souls fashion. The gameplay is familiar enough to scare you exploring, but inviting just a bit, to make you want to test different play styles.
    It's an adventure that packs 60 hours of gameplay in your first try, maybe even more if you dare go far off the beaten path. And speaking of such a path, maybe it's only downfall is the linear story towards the end. For Souls fans who always sough the mystery of where to go next (I myself have spent hours on youtube figuring that out) It is a bit of a disappointment.

    The bosses in this game are the most diverse in the entire Souls franchise. Big, scary, fast, unforgiving, there is a favourite boss for everybody. I might go as far as to say that there is one boss that gives Artorias, and OnS a run for their gold coin.

    In the end, Dark Souls III answers many lore questions, but raises quite a few knew ones. A beautifully incandescent addition to the Souls franchise, and a great stand alone game. You need not know, the stories that came before this, enjoy and praise the sun.    … Expand

    Within the first 30 minutes of laying I had died 4 times. Oh how I've missed you Dark Souls. So far not only is the combat a huge step up from DS2 but it is a bit slower paced and tactical compared to Bloodborne which is really refreshing if you are a fan of DS and DS2. The visuals and music are both top notch as well. If you are a fan of the Souls series, you'll love this game.

    Great among of weapons, spells, armors, items and secrets make you want to explore each corner of every area. I've already beat the first areas but i can't feel that i miss a lot of stuff, make me wanna go back again and again, and it's rewarding cause i actually find new stuff. That's one of the charms of the saga after all.

    If you are new to the saga you can still have a thrill; man i wish i could forget the first DS so i can playing again and feel amazed and surprised; is one of the best feelings i've ever had while playing a videogame.

    This is the first Dark Souls game I've played. I really enjoy RPG and especially fighting bossses. The boss fights in this game are the ones you'll never forget, especially the Lords of the Cinders and the last bosses. The DLC content and bosses are impressive. The level design and soundtrack of this game is also impressive, made to feel epic. I played on PS4 Pro and almost all game IThis is the first Dark Souls game I've played. I really enjoy RPG and especially fighting bossses. The boss fights in this game are the ones you'll never forget, especially the Lords of the Cinders and the last bosses. The DLC content and bosses are impressive. The level design and soundtrack of this game is also impressive, made to feel epic. I played on PS4 Pro and almost all game I enjoyed 60 fps, which gave beauty to the game. I spent around 81 h to finish the game as sorcerer. I've played around 10 hours so far and am astounded at the way they were able to nearly perfect the souls formula in this game. The enemy design is great, the level design is very good (although it doesn't reach the heights of the first Dark Souls), and the graphics are more than acceptable.(TL;DR at the bottom) As far as the souls' series goes, this is it's highest point (in my opinion).     I came from Bloodborne which was great and this one is more of the same, exactly what I was expecting for. Of course it has a different story line and new environments, but the gameplay is quite the same. You have to use the shield now, which gives you a fresh combat at the beginning.
    By the moment this franquise has the games with the best combat system.

I can't compare to the orignal games (and you shouldn't, anyway) but this is a EXCELLENT game in every single aspect: The gameplay is just perfect, challenging of course, but the game gives you all the tools to succeed (the game WANTS you to succeed!); beautiful, with an amazing lore (forI am not a tradicional gamer of the Souls series, since I started this passion back with BLOODBORNE.     Amazing game, From Software is by far, one of THE best developers in the world. They make top of the line quality games, like Bloodborne, which definitely should be getting game of the century awards. Dark Souls 3 is so much fun, so challenging, so lavish with art, rewards, gear, quality. I HIGHLY recommend this game.

    Where do I started? Ive died 6 times already in an hour. I only pick deprived so at any point i can switch up my build. This game is so much fun and the only thing Im getting out of negative reviews are its to hard or its just another dark souls game or no story. Pretty much things only people who like playing games on easy would say. This game is amazing and im so glad its finally out

    I've played every Soulsborne game. Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Scholars of the First Sin, Bloodborne and now Dark Souls 3. I had extremely high expectations for this game and I have to say... it blew me away. I had extremely high expectations for this game and I have to say... it blew me away. Each game in the series has had it's own flaws, but Dark Souls 3 really feels like it took the best parts of each game and fixed any remaining issues. That's not to say the game is without flaws itself. It certainly has it's own quirks, but overall I feel this game is the masterpiece of the series.

    The best parts:
    - The level design is insanely good. It's intricate and twists upon itself constantly. There is an abundance of shortcuts with well placed bonfires (checkpoints).
    - The environment design is some of the best I've ever seen. It feels like they took some inspiration from Bloodborne but added more variety.
    - Enemy and boss design are aesthetically fantastic. I was constantly pausing to admire them before attacking. Adding onto this point, I'd say a larger majority of the bosses and enemies were fun for me. Each game has their good and bad bosses and their overly frustrating enemies. Dark Souls 3 seems to have done a great job making enemies challenging without being frustrating, as well as making each boss feel unique and interesting (with a couple exceptions).
    - The music, graphics and PC port quality all exceed previous entries' quality by a landslide. (Though Bloodborne, which isn't technically Dark Souls, does have about the same graphics and music quality.)
    - The combat is just as strategic and challenging as always, but now with much smoother movement and increased range of possibilities.

    The 'eh' parts:
    - As always, there are still a couple mediocre boss fights and a couple frustratingly annoying enemies.
    - At least on PC, there are a few bad bugs that give people a hard time (such as crashing the computer if lighting is on high for some people).

    In a couple months when all the bugs are fixed and this game can be more fairly compared to the other games in the series, I'd say this game is damn near perfect in my eyes.    … Expand

    After the slightly disappointing sequel that was Dark Souls 2, From Software came back strong. This game captures everything that I loved about Dark Souls 1 with interesting world, good world design, great combat, fun fights, and great PVP.

I avoided the souls series for one reason or another, but had to give this latest installment a try after seeing all the hype. All I can say is wow it has quickly become my favorite ARPG of all time and may even be my favorite game of all time.     La duración para saber todos sus secretos ronda las 100hs, yo lo jugué 135hs, el online es muy divertido, las invasiones, los pvp, jugar cooperativo. Tiene tantos secretos el juego que no te aburre, es un poco difícil, en realidad requiere de concentración y un poquito de paciencia.     I think that the moment I finished the final battle, apart from letting the controller fall down, I truly realised the significance of the souls saga for the video games medium. Start your pilgrimage with dark souls 1, don't let go until you finish it, then play dark souls 2 and finally play dark souls 3.     Dark Souls 3 takes the themes we know and love from the original and it’s sequel, and adds fluid, refined combat and movement to the game. It’s a breathtaking achievement in the Souls universe; rich in lore and beautifully composed soundtrack.

    Absolutely love it, although I've only gotten through 3 bosses, it is everything I want from a Darkosuls game and a fitting end to the series. The Graphics are obviously great, I'm loving the fast-paced nature of Bloodborne aswell, Musch smoother gameplay than previous Darksouls with less stuttering makes it an overall great game so far. I;m hoping it gets more difficult, so far it's notAbsolutely love it, although I've only gotten through 3 bosses, it is everything I want from a Darkosuls game and a fitting end to the series. The Graphics are obviously great, I'm loving the fast-paced nature of Bloodborne aswell, Musch smoother gameplay than previous Darksouls with less stuttering makes it an overall great game so far. I;m hoping it gets more difficult, so far it's not as hard as the others. In my opinion, it will be easier for new players to jump into the series, but that might be due to my previous experience with the series. The music and voice acting is phenomenal, I can see myself playing this game for Months to come :D… Expand

    From my point of view, this is the best game ever created. Graphics (colors, lights, concept), music, gameplay, combat, multiplayer element, everything is amazing and absolutely perfect. Thank you FromSoftware.

    I always avoided starting the Dark Souls games because I heard that they were so hard and I get frustrated easily. When the remastered version of the first game came I out, I decided to give in and give it a try. The last six weeks I played through all three games, all of the DLC, every optional boss - everything.     In the short time that I've been playing this game I've already been blown away with the return of a true Souls experience. The Combat is quick and responsive and the enemies feel much more intelligent. The artificial difficulty of Dark Souls 2 has been replaced with a challenging yet rewarding experience and I cant wait to put many hours into this game.

    This is very much so a high quality game. Good graphics, great textures, and amazing style. I love dark souls so much and if this truly is the final dark souls game, itll be a sad day for us all. But bittersweet, because we're sent off with a final stunning entry in this amazing series. Thank you FromSoftware.

    This game is flawless. From the gorgeous graphics, to the fluid gameplay. It's an amazing RPG! You will die lots of course, but it is without a doubt one of the most rewarding game experiences in recent history. All I can say is enjoy :)

    This game is a love letter to long time fans, is beautiful and full of challenge. Even though the beginning can be a little forgiving and not as hard as previous iterations, that might be perfect to newcomers and easier for them to fall in love with this amazing Saga.

    A+ for atmosphere, music, graphics, level design, combat, boss design...so far it's perfect! Everything I hoped it would be and more! I can understand people complaining and giving it negative reviews though...not everybody is cut out for Dark Souls. Some people just don't have the grit, determiniation and iron will required to scratch and claw their way out of the pit of ash that isA+ for atmosphere, music, graphics, level design, combat, boss design...so far it's perfect! I need a game that is both challenging and fun to play...and that game is Dark Souls 3. I am having so much fun playing Dark Souls 3 and at the same time, Dark Souls 3 is not holding my hand. The difficulty is harder than most video games but it is fair. When you beat a boss or move onto a new zone, you get a sense of accomplishment. These qualities make this game very unique and one of the best games that is out there. I rated this game a 10/10 because I have had more fun playing this game and been more challenged than any game in the past year, since Bloodborne.

    On the PS4 the graphics are beautiful and I did not have any frame rate issues. My only issue with this game is the target lock on function which can sometimes be frustrating, but this is the case with every Soulsborne game that I have played. That being said, the target lock issue is such a minor complaint for this game.

    I would suggest for any player to go into this game "blind" (meaning: Don't look at any videos or wikis on your first play throughand) and you should just explore and learn everything for yourself. By doing this, you will have the most satisfying gaming experience.

    Overall, Dark Souls III is a masterpiece and it is currently my Game of The Year Pick. I am a long time fan of all of the Souls Series games and this one is one of the best in the series. If I had to compare Dark Souls III to another game in the series, I would say that it is closest to the original Dark Souls, but with much better graphics. If you are a fan of any of the games in Souls Series then you will not be disappointed.    … Expand

    Ds2 was ok, had fun with it, but ultimately lacked some "soul" in comparison to the other games.

    This game is awesome, woth litlle issues, but is not a problem, the true problem with this game are casuals gamers, I have the 5 tittles of FS, but this is tthe best of the series, levels, desing, weapons and armors, this game is awesome, maybe like the first DS with better PvP.

    Dark Souls represents the best aspects about video games. The game is hard but is worth it! It is a masterpiece that gives the supreme example of video games as an art form. Atmosphere, level design, combat, exploration, soundtrack...everything is fantastic! I feel like everyone should have this unique experience. Thank you FromSoftware!

    Oh my God . Where to Begin. By it self the music travels you , the gameplay is as challenging and as brutal as u would expect from a souls game , the atmosphere great . For souls players this is a MUST game and actually for any gamer. Its pure gold and i have been enjoying every damn second of this gorgeous game . Shame its the last of this amazing series but what a way to close this franschise :(

    Just started playing this last night, already clocked 9 hours, the graphics are stunning, combat is fluid and the music and voice acting IS PHENOMENAL. I love dark souls so much and if this truly is the final dark souls game, itll be a sad day for us all. But bittersweet, because we're sent off with a final stunning entry in this amazing series. Whereas in the Dark Souls franchise you are rewarded for strategic styles of attacking, waiting for the right time to strike, defending yourself, and are heavily punished for mistakes.

    Okay, time to get off my high horse.. Dark Souls III is a beautiful game. The graphics are not 4k by any means but are still elegant and foreboding. The Class system reduces wasted levels for pure builds and all other types as well. The "Power Stance" ability also adds another dimension to every weapon/shield/item and is a welcome addition to the game. DS3 trades Bloodborne's agility fundamental in favor of the more tank-like evolution of the player, although it is possible to maintain a Bloodborne style of play through, given the right build for the job.

    Level design is still ridiculous, giving and awe-inspiring feeling of "This game is huge.". I have always enjoyed From Software's approach to level design, a somewhat linear adventure but also not linear at the same time.

    Overall this game will give Dark Souls fans another fantastic installation in the series while also providing many hours of exploration, collection, questing, boss fights, optional areas, and punishment that we all have come to love. A fantastic game to play!!!    … Expand

    Dark Souls 3 is an epic sendoff to the series. The areas are rich in mythology and the enemies are truly unique to each of them. The boss fights seem to be a bit recycled from the previous souls games but they still are extremely fun and a challenge. The multiplayer is nice, but gets annoying at times because of the lag.

    Graphics are much better than either older game, invasions finally return as a main mechanical feature after being corralled in both dark 2 and blodborne.     The best of the series so far! Amazing world, improvements to the combat. All weapons have a neat weapon skill. The magic is a blast (pyro, sorceries, or faith) and the PvP is just intense!

    Love it. Amazing, and job well done FromSoftware.

    This game is really awesome, the gameplay is really fast, the graphic is nice, the map design is good, the lore in this game is also really awesome and the Boss fights are really badass. If you want to play such a great game then you should buy Dark souls 3.

    this game is really awesome , I dont know how to describe it but I can say this is one of the best souls series after demon souls , but I think bloodborne still is better than dark souls 3 . this game is the best hack and slash category
