Fun game, very reminiscent of Burnout 2 and 3. However there's absolutely no music outside of the main menu. If you want music in the game you have to have a Spotify Premium subscription. Frankly this is ridiculous and I'd expect at least an original soundtrack in lieu of the Spotify integration if I'm not signed into Spotify.

Rather than start out with an homage to Burnout 1, a fairly straightforward arcade racer with comparably little spectacle, Three Fields attempted to recreate the mechanics of three entire Burnout games with Dangerous Driving. Given the small team size, it‘s not surprising that the game sometimes falls apart at the seams under the weight of this ambition. The game‘s often glitchy nature can lead to frustration when wonky collision detection robs you of a hard-earned victory. But the market for Burnout-style arcade racing has undoubtedly been underserved in recent years and thankfully Dangerous Driving’s exhilarating sense of speed and wanton destruction is enough to satiate that appetite. Unfortunately, the small development team and even smaller budget really shine through in this finished title. While this game had some extremely talented people working behind it, you just can't help but thirst for something better - A true big budget Burnout successor. The game play here takes many aspects from the first three burnout games, with its presentation taking huge inspiration from Burnout 3. As a fan of nearly every Burnout video game out there (even the less than stellar ones like Burnout Dominator with a laughable 76 on this site), I can't help but have such mixed feelings about this title.

One of the most iconic feats of the Burnout series ever since the 2001 original is the fantastic feeling of speed and brutal crashes. While the high octane racing is surely here and a very welcome change to the usual racing sims we've been getting in recent years, other aspects of the game just fall short.
One of the Burnout series's biggest draws is that even during a crash, the player isn't too disappointed since the spectacle of the wrecks certainly was something to behold. The problem with this game is that the crashes look less impressive than the original Burnout game released nearly 18 years ago on the Playstation 2.

The truly unimpressive crashes tie well into another issue with the game which is the lackluster graphics. Once again, I understand that this title has a very small development team and budget, but I couldn't help but notice that the graphics themselves were still less impressive than the previously mentioned Burnout from 2001. One of my favorite aspects of the old Burnout games was the incredible graphics running at a silky smooth 60 fps at an increased resolution of 480p (with the exception of the original title). While this game generally runs at a high frame rate without many dips below 60, I couldn't help but be let down by the graphics.

Overall as a Burnout fan there is plenty to enjoy with Dangerous Driving, but the $30 price tag for what can only be described as an okay indie game just feels like a bit of a rip.

YOU CAN CONSIDER THIS GAME A BURNOUT 1 2 3 REMAKE

if you are fan of classic burnout games, like the first 3 games even you can include dominator, well this one is very similar of these 4 games. the menu is very similar of burnout legend and 3 and there is not alot of new things in it, but there is few things that surprise me, like when you takedown a car you can find the wreck car

the menu is very similar of burnout legend and 3 and there is not alot of new things in it, but there is few things that surprise me, like when you takedown a car you can find the wreck car again in the middle of the street when you get the next lap,

GAMEPLAY: its very similar of burnout 2 but with speed of burnout 3.

GRAPHICS: well am not huge fan of the graphics in this game, because its like burnout on ps3 example but a remake, it dosnt look like ps4 graphics.

MUSIC : the game have no music, because you can conect it with SPOTIFY well thats alot better you can play hearing your favorite songs, i am slipknot fan but when i drive my car i allways put static x songs and doom sound track or red alert sound tracks.

i highly recommend for who loves the classic burnouts and who prefer the arcade racing and who hates open world racing games like me.

For people like me that missed Burnout Games for long time (for me, the last good game was Burnout Revenge) this is a great game that will make you feel that nostalgia for good times on Burnout 1, 2 and 3. But for people that never played old Burnout games, the feeling is for a unfinished game with a lot of bugs and weird physics.

Ok, we're not talking about a car simulator game but this game take the "Arcade Game" title too serious.

Tha bad points about this game are the physics (as I mentioned above), for example, at one point of the game I saw that I'll collide with a traffic car, the car miraculously slipped to other side. In some gameplays that I watched, the car bounces when they fly and hit the floor, like a ping pong ball. Another bad point it's the lack of music (ok, I have a Spotify Premium Account but I can say that I learned to like the music that I like today with Burnout songs), and some details like when (in Burnout's games) the car crashes, the musics immediately stops, in Dangerous Driving, the music still playing. In the last bad point I can mention that the car don't really damage when hit, they just get some doors opened and kneaded.

And as good points I can mention the the speed is insane like Burnout games (sometimes speeder), the action it's outstanding, Takedowns are really easy to do but the game is totally challenging, sometimes with a single hit you can give up your gold medal. The scenarios are really beatifuls but I miss some urban maps.

But most of all, one thing that really impress me it's that Three Fields Entertaiment made this game with a few programmers and resources. They looked at this people that miss these Arcade Games and focused on them. I know that they will improve and fix these bugs or make a Dangerous Driving 2 (like Danger Zone 2 that it's MUCH BETTER than Danger Zone 1) but the simple fact that they have this initiative it's really impressive.

Dangerous Driving is made by the team that made Burnout and it shows. I can say if you miss Burnout then pick up this game because it is Burnout in everything but name alone. It is a fun experience but I got tired of the crashes and racing way quicker than I thought I would. Unfortunately games like Onrush exist and do the formula better. Wow where to start, bought this for $7...I mean what the heck why not. Mobile driving games have more features and fun than this game.

The PS4 port of this game isn‘t that good. The visuals are mediocre, also on PS4 Pro but at least runs at 60 fps. It looks and feels better on PC. Also, this game has too less from almost all aspects of a modern arcade racing game today. I really like the nitro speed rush, but thats quite not enough.

+1 rating added for supporting HDR (still not optimized for HDR but basically supported)

It is Burnout 3 like but not good for your console health, but is only if you go for the records play for gold and keep record attempts at 3 attempts!! Graphics very good, no car does not crash into bits and pieces, that now compared to burnout paradise or better grid 2009

Dangerous Driving feels just like Burnout, but it doesn't look or sound the part. Due to Three Fields Entertainment's limitations, the game feels like it has a crisis of character. The gameplay is edgy, explosive and violent, while the snowy terrain glistens or the sun peeks over luscious mountaintops in the background, peppered with only the revving of your engine and the pitchy screech of your tires. The solemnity doesn't ruin the experience, but it'll make you scratch your head. At the end of the day, Dangerous Driving scratches a very specific itch that I'm sure many have been waiting to scratch —just like paint against a cold metal guardrail.

Everything a Burnout fan could want is here, but it’s let down by poor AI. If you have the patience, however, Dangerous Driving is a worthy addition to PS4’s bare racing roster. [Issue@162, p.96]

Dangerous Driving simply isn't suited to a mode that won't let you crash. Patched out, or left optional, these wouldn't be enough to stop most from happily reliving Burnout's heyday; currently, however, it would be reckless to recommend. [Issue#332, p.118]
