I enjoyed the whole game on the ps4 pro with performance mode. It works fine and completely playable. It's still one of my favorite games and one of the best sandbox shooters. ofc it still needed polishing but I guess we get better performance on the ps5

I like it. I played it years ago and I still like it. I didn’t want something different than original Crysis bcs I enjoyed the game in 2007 and this was only my return back to childhood. Graphic is the same or better or worse, whatever. I like it and thanks Crytek for this thing.

A lot of negative reviews about this, but the game looked good, and this is the first time it's available on PlayStation at all.
It was great fun to be able to play Crysis on a PlayStation and it looked decent and handled well.
I'm just happy to get ps4 ports of the game whether they're remastered or not. I've since had to buy the remastered trilogy as i loved the sequels a lot on ps3,

This review is for the PS5 upgrade to this PS4 version.

This game was very fun from start to finish, it's got 3 modes Quality, Performance, and Ray Tracing. I played it in Ray Tracing mode and the game is just gorgeous and the reflections are great.. I want to say the FPS targets 60 but I feel it was more closer to 45 consistently. The story is pretty good, it's definitely been done

The story is pretty good, it's definitely been done before but as a 2007 game it's a high quality story. The best part of the game while also the worst is the gameplay. The nanosuit was truly a gaming marvel back in the day, it showed what was possible for a SciFi type FPS and it is very fun but there are a few problems. The Helicopter AI is FRUSTRATINGLY extreme, even in Stealth mode it will find you and shoot you incessantly until you take it down. The enemy AI however ranges from awful to good depending on the situation, more often however its just not good and you can literally be crouching next to an enemy and they wont see you unless you're in their line of sight but the AI when they do see you will take cover, flank you, call out orders to other enemies etc etc so it all depends on if they have seen you or not. The game has very good variety as well, you can tackle missions guns blazing, quietly, and sometimes you're in a tank or aircraft so I didn't feel often that it was getting repetitive and I always felt I had freedom to do what I wanted. I think Nomad is a pure badass and iconic in his own right, he is a soldier to the end and has a deep sense of honor and loyalty to his fellow Nanosuit friends Psycho and Prophet and other comrades and I just find him to be a very memorable and genuine protagonist. I think purely speaking on PS5's version that its a solid fun tight game with some great memorable moments, a late enemy faction that raises the stakes and sets up the series in a great way, and sometimes very stunning visuals and that's really impressive considering its a remaster not a remake. My final score is a 9.0/10

If you never got the chance to experience the original when it came to PS3 and want to pick this up out of curiosity, it’s probably best to avoid it – it’s outright damaging to the legacy of Crysis. [Issue#181, p.88]

If you loved Crysis once and want to revisit it, but in the best possible conditions, this is a golden opportunity. Possibly one of the best FPS that you will find on consoles if we are talking about games that marked a before and after in its original moment of launch.

There is no doubt that Crysis was a landmark game in the history of first person shooters and some gamers had to take a pass at the time due to its high system specs. Much of what made Crysis fun and innovative still holds up, but it is disappointing that the Remaster does little more than selectively improve the visuals and make relatively minor changes to the controls. Crysis was amazing in 2006 and all shooter fans should play it at least once, but Crysis Remastered is hardly an essential purchase for shooter fans in 2020.
