Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is nothing more than a cash grab by Vicarious Visions, in a pathetic attempt by Activision, to try and make Crash Bandicoot himself relevant again, when he's been forgotten and irrelevant since the PS1 Era ended. Do not buy.

Completely unplayable. Hitbox are weird, jumping and other moves are imprecise. This game was a waste of money and it brings no fun at all. Graphics are kinda ok, music also brings memories of old times but this is one of the worst remakes of the series i have ever played. I give 0 to warn people - it’s not worth its price, whatever it is.

Why no 60 fps for PS5?
When you (Activision) has the accountability for one of the greatest franchises in gaming history, and you just neglect it, you are not worthy of such a title. How hard can it be to unlock framerate on PS5? The game has unlocked framerate on Xbox and PC. Come on

Good idea to remaster this game but disappointing!

The main issue is the mechanics. The developers wanted to make the game more challenging but instead, they made it annoying and frustrating! Especially the JUMP! you lose even on a simple jump in the game! (forget about the boxes!) why? A jump??!!

Frustrating control and overly repetitive levels. The game seems lazily rushed together with no focus on actual game play.

An otherwise excellent remake tarnished by trophies tied to time trials. Shoehorning this into the game adds nothing but frustration and ruins what could have been a compelling trip down memory lane.

The sensitivity of the controls have completely ruined this game for me. For something that used to be aimed at kids back in the day, you certainly wouldn’t recommend that they play this trilogy.

I love this game, is happy and funny, but the gameplay is broken. I understand that they wanted to keep the original experience, but come on boys, it's unacceptable a gameplay like this in 2020 (or in PS4 in short.). The game has an artificial difficulty, it's not hard because the levels defisn is hard... it's hard because the gameplay is broken, and thats so sad...

I’m posting here because the jumping mechanics in this remake are atrociously bad. You have maybe a few pixels to spare when jumping between platforms. This issue is compounded by the fact that x performs a different length jump depending on how long you hold it down. (or hard you hold it down?) So there’s about a 50/50 chance the controls will work, and my character will do a long jump instead of a short one. So even if I am able to correctly time/execute a difficult jump with very little room for error, I’m still going to miss half the jumps because the controls are so unresponsive. I am truly baffled to be playing a PLATFORMER game where the dev team managed to **** up JUMPING. I can’t speak to any content after 1-4 (The Great Gate) because I strongly recommend against buying this game. Spending $20 on hard drugs is a better life decision than purchasing this remake Expand

To say this game is "slipshod" is probably doing it favors. Like the rest have stated - utterly garbage hitboxes, loose gameplay, and having difficulty where you actually are within the depth of the level makes this game genuinely frustrating and not fun to play. This game has some of the most arbitrary hit detection I ever seen and that's putting it lightly. In the dino chase level, I jump ahead before the lava pit and I land into the lava, I jump right before the lava I somehow step into the lava and I don't jump but end up getting burned, what the hell. In the dino chase level, I jump ahead before the lava pit and I land into the lava, I jump right before the lava I somehow step into the lava and I don't jump but end up getting burned, what the hell. I don't mind being tough. Hell, I was stuck on Dark Souls 3 with the Lothric boss fight for a while but I made it through and I managed to beat the game twice. But making arbitrary hitboxes that don't make sense is ridiculous, especially for a jumping platform.

This does not just happen in Crash 3, this also happens in all games. In Crash 1, the Native Fortress level, you're forced to hold to jump to move from one iron box to another but if you don't hit right on the head, you're going splat. And the shield natives on the levels as soon as you jump, they sent you backward, you have to jump onto the ledge and then jump quickly again and try to spin in mid air in order to get the shield natives to raise their shield above their head to block. This game has some of the most insane hit detection in that a lot of times the natives will send you back as soon as you try to do the second jump. Try doing that when you're stuck between the shield native and the flaming lamp and see how you'll like the game. Some of the levels are fun, but a lot of the levels are tedious because of the mechanics and insane hit detection, this game is not good.

It lost sight of the basic elements that make a collectible platformer enjoyable. This game doesn’t promote curious or keen gameplay, the movement isn’t smooth, and gathering collectibles never feels rewarding. Ultimately, the game winds up being an unpleasant nostalgia trip that nobody should pack their bags for."

I remember being frustrated as a kid when playing the Crash games, that was expected since it was a great franchise yet you needed a lot of skill. Yet in this remaster, as the game description states, the developers decided to mess around with the slide jumping, WTF? Such a needless emphasis on a function that wasn't so important in the original. Crash cannot respond to fast button movements at all, so why make a double jump and slide motion the same action? All this does is create needless frustration and takes the genuine fun away from any of the games.

I can't fault the graphics on Crash 2 (the one I played the most) at least, as it's more or less a spitting image of the original. I had also noticed that crash was larger in the original...more than likely to compensate for the precise movements need for the game play. Of course this isn't honoured in the remaster either.

In the level, The real Eel, the comparison of the game play is dramatically different. One example is the two machines that float vertically. You must jump over them then they descend. In this remaster that is not a remaster but a remake, the machines are rendered way too large to make even a competent jump to safety. The rotating fan blades are far too thick and fast to dodge without needlessly losing a life.

This is also the same for enemies that require jumping on to destroy. The spitting plants, machine octopi and spiked turtles are a prime example, and not the only ones. The area in which to jump on is way too small to adequately destroy these enemies.

The last straw came when playing the bonus round of the Piston it Away level. You must near the end of the bonus round and spin on the exclamation mark box. Then you must take a U-Turn and bounce on a deliberately unbroken box to be able to jump over a tower of instant death Nitro boxes. Of course this crucial box does not have the bounce it needs to jump the nitro.

I wish i could refund this game, but "unfortunately" the PSN network will not issue a refund for bad game developing. Crash Bandicoot is no longer fun; negatives outweigh the positives way too much and this is the last game that I ever download digitally. I paid £17.99 for these games (unbelievably, it's a sale price!?) and it's £17.99 too much,

    I feel cheated and poor.

Graphics are good but that’s it. The gameplay is awful. Terrible hit boxes. Unrealistic enemies. Crash is one of those games that should be left in the past as a fun child hood memory. This crap remake has ruined the franchise. Garbage controls makes it unplayable. Save your money and buy something else.

When I played the first level on the first game (I don't know what it's called) abd it was alright. Then the game, as well as the three other games became intolerable and rage inducing, even remembering getting headaches out of sheer stress, to the point that I almost gave up, but put the game down for a long period of time.

Eventually, I managed to reach the final boss of each of the three games through some cheap tactics and cheating, but just reaching the final boss is a chore in all three games.

After beating the games, I honestly forgot 92.7% of the three games. Probably because many levels were sometimes carbon copies of existing levels but either stretched or added stuff.

I didn't bother with getting all boxes in all levels, nor time trials, nor bonus levels, not even the dlc levels.

Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy has got to be the most shallowest remake of recent times. Literally all you need to do across all three games is to run from point A to point B, avoiding enemies and/or breaking boxes with nothing else to do. Some of the levels reuses the same designs from other levels, so it's very hard to distinguish from levels such as toad village or gee whiz. Plus, some of the boss battles are forgettable.

The controls are decent, but Crash felt a bit heavy, even when you press and hold the jump button to gain extra height. In my experience, I felt like playing through the trilogy to be quite of a chore for me from the start of each game to only beating the final boss. After beating the game, I just chucked the game in my shelf and never touched it again.

I'm going to say that when I got the PS4 Pro, after copying everything from my original PS4, I deleted the game from my PS4 Pro.
