It's almost impossible to play. Game crashes all the time. Is very bad. And what's worse, because it's an independent game, they probably won't try to fix it. And the fact that the game is crossgen does not justify a poorly done job. Metacritic doesn't even have an expert review, so there's no way for a person to assess whether the game is good to see if it's worth buying. The game mechanics seem good, but the game is graphically awful, crashing all the time during gameplay, so I gave up playing. If they ever fix it I'll try again, but for now it's not worth my time. By the way, it is audacity of the developers to release this game at full launch price. Expand

Sooo many glitches, and trying to restart the stage, or reload checkpoint doesnt fix it, so you gotta go back to your dojo then select the stage again. Cutscenes play during the loading screen AND are also choppy as hell. Cannot complete all valley tournament because the game freezes after the first match. This game would be fun if only it worked the way it should Expand

The first game wasn’t a groundbreaking game of the year or anything , but it was fun enough that I went through it several times co-op with my son. It was a great throw back to the Streets of Rage/Final Fight days and I really enjoyed it, which is why I bought this game for my son as a Christmas gift. We got around to playing it today, and wow… It is garbage. PS2 era graphics and N64 style animations. It’s a laggy, glitchy disaster. Honestly, what happened? It’s as if the entire studio that made the first one was canned and they brought in a bunch of people who have never played a video game before to shart this one out. The worst part is there’s no more co-op in the story mode, or at least I couldn’t figure out how to access it if there is. Very misleading as the game is advertised as 2P right on the box. That was the main reason I bought it, to play with my kid. There’s nothing redeemable about this game, it’s AVGN levels of terrible. I don’t know what went wrong here but it was disastrous. I’ll give it one more shot but I seriously doubt that I’ll change my mind. If you enjoyed the first one, you won’t like this. If you want a crappy nostalgic trip back to the medieval days of 3D fighting games, maybe you’ll like this. It’s one of the worst I’ve played in years. Expand
