Mar 25, 2019It’s great that a game that many may have overlooked on the Wii is being given a new lease on life on the latest generation of consoles. A new coat of paint and some fun new gameplay features makes Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! a very easy game to recommend to those seeking a challenging but super adorable adventure.

Apr 9, 2019Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy is a solid Mystery Dungeon game with a good amount of content. It, unfortunately, sticks to a somewhat repetitive gameplay loop and, even with a few challenge dungeons with unique rulesets, can get a little stale. I still enjoyed my time with Chocobo, and Mystery Dungeon fans will find something to enjoy here, but the appeal to a broader Final Fantasy fanbase might be a bit more narrow.

Apr 3, 2019With simple gameplay, charming story, chibi design and a flashy companion system, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is a title that can become an excellent entry for all those who have not played a roguelike game. It's a shame that, in the end, it ends up becoming a fairly repetitive project that denotes the same mistakes of the original Wii game.

Apr 24, 2019The years have passed and Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon returns with little improvements to our Switch and PS4 platforms. The rogue-like genre has better games on this generation, but the game can appeal to the Final Fantasy fans anyway.

Apr 24, 2019It is worth it because of the engaging gameplay and the steep challenge provided and because of the ability to play in coop. The level of difficulty will lead to a couple of unfair situations and graphically speaking this is a pretty lazy rehash of an older title. The game is pretty expensive too and load times are surprisingly very long. If you can accept these issues then you'll have a good time with this game regardless. But oh boy, we just can't get used to that name!
